That updated custom on Recondo looks really good JDeck
Thanks Foxtrot! I like the old school Joes, but  I'm warming up to the new updated ones too.

I made my final member of the Snake eater team. Nightfox, he's a character Hasbro created for the Pursuit of cobra line, he came with a couple of different vehicles. His filecard is really vague, he's a navy seal, and it seems he was a desert specialist.  My version is a Seal, driver and demolitions expert, including underwater demolitions in jungle Tigers tripe fatigues.
He's just a Firefly repaint with painted BeachHead head, LowLight hands, Steel Brigade helmet and Flint web gear.
Most of these Gi Joe figures are repaints. There's like 4 different sculpts they kitbash and repaint.
Which brings me to Stalker, my team leader, interpreter, communications. He's a minor repaint of BeachHead, that I repainted slightly more. I also drilled a hole in the webgear to accept the backpack.

Thank you Tamer! Joes are pretty fun. A lot of  individuality and character in the figures. It's good to do something different every once in a while.

I just like the full articulation too. JOEs have always been to go to figs to add arty to whatever genre you are working on. Glad we have one line like that. About the only thing that is better imo is the new  HACKS or Maurader figures maybe.

Yeah the articulation is great. Double jointed knees are nice. Only problem is arm swapping, you have crack the figure open. The hands, feet, forearms and heads are interchangeable with Star Wars.  I need to get at least one marauder figure, man they arent cheap.
Hasbro is talking about rebooting GI JOE again. You know how cryptic they are, don't know if they're talking about movies, tv or figures. Ill take any sa 3.75" at this point.

JDeck, I'm really appreciating your Joe customs. Recondo looks excellent. The whole team looks really good and their vehicle is excellent. Bang up paint job.

Thanks Starchaser! Joes are really fun, and I was able to practice painting figures with them. I learned a lot.

Ultimate Imperial officer.

I've been wanting to make this figure for a while now. It's an ultimate Imperial Jack of all trades. He can be a Technician (ROTJ), Imperial Navy Trooper  (ROTJ), Imperial Gunner (ANH), or a TIE pilot. I think if Hasbro made this, with all the accessories it would sell like crazy, because you can choose whatever figure you want to make. It's like the old school GI JOEs, with tons of options and accessories. Personally, I would buy these up like crazy, if they were available. We haven't gotten an updated DS Gunner, or a black uniform technician since the Saga collection . They have never made a Navy Trooper with the black coveralls. Having the TIE pilot option is a bonus.

He's just a repainted scan crewman with TIE pilot forearms, and an imperial officer head. I made the Gunner bib out of a Sandtrooper pauldron that I  boiled and shaped, then painted.  The rest is self explanatory.

4 figures in 1 - AWESOME!! What an excellent idea! I agree with you. It would be very smart if Hasbro created something like you did!
As far as I know they had some "Armor Up" Action Figures in their TFA line, but that was nothing compared to yours!

Indeed, your reference proves that the film crew of George Lucas seems to have used the Sandtroopers' pauldron for the  Death Star Gunner, too! I didn't know that!

Thanks for sharing!

Thank you Legion. I didn't know gunners wore pauldrons either until i saw pictures of cosplayers. I did some research and sure enough, they re purposed the Sandtrooper pauldron. Actually Sideshow and Hot toys figures make pretty good resources too, they excel in accuracy. Especially for characters like the DS gunner, that have very few refrences

Nice work. Off to share!

Thanks Tamer. I made another one, but it's a little impractical to make any more. Seeing I have to cannibalize at least two figures.

If I can find someone who can resin cast a few  gunner helmets, and ds trooper helmets, id be in business. Actually I can use the POTF2 gunner heads, as swappable heads instead of a removable helmet.  Yeah that's what ill do. Im back in business. Glad we had this talk Tamer. Lol.

JDeck - I really like this "multi-figure." I agree with you about the sales potential of a figure such as this. You did a really nice job putting all the parts together.
