I agree! These head-swaps and little kit bashes look excellent - nice and fresh! Thanks for sharing this inspiration!

I like him. Makes sense to me. I have just been enjoying some kind of tank mini-series on Netflix and this guy reminds me of a back up to just about any job; cross trained if you will.

Off to share.
Sweet! Believe it or not I don't have Netflix  :o I enjoy watching war movies, documentaries. These guys are somewhat inspired by Deutsche Afrika Korps, LRDG and GI JOE all rolled into one.

Thanks Phillip! I think they work well, even just the mimban helmet on a scarif trooper, creates a
completely different look. The Gunner is just a Hodge podge of parts, but that's kind of my favorite.

I made a custom Kallus I guess. Lol. Really he was intended to be my Cavalry battalion commander. Basically the big boss of the Nerf Herder squad. Basically he's Kallus. It's just a TBS Starkiller with Kallus head and rank board. I was going to do something different, but it looks good to me, the colors match up pretty well. The Starkiller has that imperial jumpsuit, that works well as a tank commander.

I have a WIP heavy Gunner. It's a Dengar with Range trooper boots and navy trooper gloves and helmet. I might paint the armor and stain the jacket, so it all blends in better. The inspiration was from SOLO. He was Beckett's fourth man, "the muscle", before he was killed on mimban.

They're great! The Kallus mod looks really good. I agree with you about how well the colors blend. I would love to see the trench coat stained on your heavy gunner. I think he turned out really, really well and I like the Range Trooper boots on him. Excellent concept.

Thank you. I was working on the Gunner today. I pretty much finished it. I think it looks pretty close to the reference picture.

Thank you, Tamer. The guy in the reference picture, reminds me of a Samurai, with the helmet and everything. You know I like that!

Thank you StarChaser, I have ideas for a few more guys. It may take some time to find the right parts.

Yeah, I thought the same thing. I could easily see adding a smiley mask or something of that nature down the road. Once again, I like the tough look of this one.

True. I had put a Stormtrooper "mask" on, but it looked a bit cornball. So then I sliced up a trooper helmet, and glued the back neck part and the top forehead part to a Stormtrooper Hemet, but it still looked tacky. Less is more sometimes. Many figures died to bring us this custom.

I built another easy one. He's a field artillery crewman/E-WEB technician/ ammo carrier. He's the grunt of the group. However if the Gunner is killed he is to take their place, momentarily.
It's tank driver upper torso and upper arms (painted), AT-ST driver lower torso (painted) and TIE pilot legs, lower arms and belt. Ground crewman head.

Nice job, JDeck. These secondary personnel are very important. I really like the concept and design.
