The green stuff is called Greenstuff, it is like sculpey, I covered the Snowtroopers helmet with it and molded it over.  Due to the amount of detail on the helmet, the helmet got bigger.  It wasn't until it cured that I realized the problem I now have!  I think it is going to have to be the case that I sculpt a new but smaller helmet.

Ha ha I know Krztfr, when I started making the helmet it was a lot smaller.  As I started to add the definition I needed more room on the helmet and next thing I know, the helmet is the right size for a 6 inch figure.

Today I worked on his legs and arms, again using Green stuff to create the troopers armour. I'm leaving the helmet/rebuild until I have completed the work on the trooper.
I suddenly had wanted to see what he would look like with a Lego Sith Trooper's helmet, I know a fellow customizer used a Lego Troopers helmet for his figure and I suddenly wanted to see what it would look like. Is it me or does this actually work?!?

What do you think?

I was looking at the Lego Sith Trooper's Toms helmet and thought to myself that I've pulled apart this Snowtrooper, rebuilt his armour and now I'm going to stick a Lego helmet on his head.  I've got this far and that just felt like cheating a little, so I decided to cast the Toms helmet and make it a little larger.  Something I have only done once before and that was making bones for my Rancor pit.

After taking the initial mold, I carved into the cast and made the helmet deeper and extending the face plate a little.  It turned out rather well and Tom is happy because he gets his helmet back ;)

I also added extra pieces onto his armour, extra bits onto his gauntlets, he just needs a little sand down and then I think he'll be ready to paint!

Thank you Ron and Tamer, I think overall work on the figure is complete, I just need to work on his backpack before painting him.

Not much of an update but last night, I applied my the first coat of paint to him and while he was drying I started to work on the troopers back pack, the backpack need a little more work doing to but its taking form.

This morning I awoke a little earlier than I expected.  So while making my morning cup of tea I popped the halves into a jug of boiling water, then popped him back together again.  I've been dying to see what he looks like all fitted together!

He kind of reminds me of the concept Darth Vader by Ralph McQuarrie!

Last night, I carried on with the backpack, re-using the Snow troopers existing backpack and sculpting it into the Sith Troopers using Green Stuff.  Once its dry, I will use my rotary tool to sand it down, neaten it up and then paint it.

The trooper himself, well as you can see I set to work painting this bad boy up, need to finish his helmet off, add another layer of red, adding in the finishing details to his armour then followed by adding the Sith insignia to his helmet and shoulders.
