Title: Episode 7 x-wing build (finished)

Using a snaptite revel kit I grabbed from a local thrift store for 5 bucks I'm attempting to convert it into something that resembles what we see in the episode 7 trailer.

I know I took some design liberties with the back end and the wings to some extent to accomodate the transformation of this model.  However, I look at this as maybe a transitional model between what we see in the OT and the new movies. 

I also never understood why the astromechs were left exposed like they were in the OT models, so I think the little sheild/canopy over it makes sense.
