Its high time we announced our next custom contest as voted on by you the members here at ISY!

As you have voted on our latest poll it is about time we started the next challenge which will be BOUNTY HUNTERS!
As for your bounty hunter character it can be anything from Mandalorians to Ithorians from any Star Wars Time Line and show whether it be TV (The Clone Wars, Clone Wars, etc.) or Episodes I through 6. Matter of fact if you have a Bounty Hunter you want to make up that you think would fit well into our SW Verse feel free.
So, once you decide on your character, please make sure your custom action figure meets the following:
1. Must be a new custom that has never been posted by you.
2. Only 1 entry per person. If you create one custom or several, you are entered into this contest one time.
3. Must be 3 3/4" in scale.
4. You can post work in progress pictures if you would like, but please mark your final entry as "Final Entry" and limit it to no more than five pictures please. If possible, especially those of you who make up Bounty Hunters we might not be familiar with we would love to see an reference images you used to create your custom.
5. Bonus (not necessary to enter): If you want to create a small vehicle, dio, or speeder bike to go with your custom that would be awesome too. However, the only thing you need for entry is one custom action figure.
Customs can be submitted from now until Saturday, September 6th (midnight eastern standard time).
One (1) random winner will be chosen from the entries - and the winner will be completely random. And the prize will be:

I will get an image up soon, but I came across a bevy of awesome Star Wars, JOE, and Wolverine Action Figures I thought would make a nice lot for our next winner. These are already in hand so no waiting for these to be shipped by Hasbro this time!

As long as it is three and three quarter in scale and fits into our SW Verse feel free to use your imagination. If you have any reference material for why you chose to create it a particular way please share so we can see!

The sculpting on his body is done, just need to work on his pistol, rifle, and his helmet which is a lot harder than it looks.

I wasn't planning on entering this particular contest because even without a contest the awesome customizers on ISY have shown their proficiency at making bounty hunters and I wasn't confident I could match the talent. Then I realized its a random winner so I'm in, haha. Here's some early work on my entry. Got lots of color reworking to do on top of other things. Obviously this bounty hunter is roaming about during the upcoming timeline.
Hasbro will no doubt beat us to death with new trooper toys (probably 5 points articulation) down the line but I needed one now. Not sold on this being the final sculpt either for this guy

Ok, here goes my very rough WiP bounty hunter for this contest. I still have sculpting to do, work on his belt, etc....then paint. He's going to be one of the bounty hunters tasked with hunting down members and sympathizers of the Galactic Marauders. I've named him Wee-Bay (named after some character from The Wire).

That's what I was thinking. I was actually going to create a mando (which I eventually will), but I started thinking that I should do something different, and there aren't many custom Rodians around. At least not that I'm aware of.

my entrée
Solon Farr never made it past his rookie year, while hunting a spice runner he crossed paths with a veteran hunter named Bossk. When he caused the spice runner to escape Bossk in a fit of rage blamed the would be hunter and savagedly bit at his neck and left him to bleed to death.
I made this character for two reasons 1. not all bounty hunters have armor and 2. not all bounty hunters are badasses.

"Final Entry"
Here's goes my final entry for my Rodian bounty hunter. Unfortunately, I don't have a wide variety of paints right now, so I could make him in the colors I originally would have wanted (star wars typical browns, beige, etc).
He is completely painted over. I used Krylon black spray paint as the base color, rather than hand paint him, and found the spray paint to come out incredibly smooth and strong (does not chip, no paint rub, etc). So smooth, you'd think it came this way. I used some sculpt throughout, and even used sculpt above the eyes to give him an angry look, as opposed to the dumb look that Greedo has. I used a mixture of Marine Corps green to give him a darker greenish look, and some yellow, since Rodians could have multi color in their skin.

Great job on the paint application and sculpting. I think your figure turned out really great! Something that is very new and different from most bounty hunters we see.
I'm almost done with my custom, just need to paint him. (not really liking my currently helmet sculpt but it'll have to do for now.

Thanks smeagol92055, that means a lot to me. Spent a lot of time working on him last night, he's almost done. Just trying to fix up some parts with the helmet. The painting on the body is about 90% finished. Hope to finish him by the end of the weekend.

Finally finished my Rako Hardeen earlier today. Added a working holster for his custom pistol and the helmet is removable.
I might return and change the helmet in the future. But for now, I'm satisfied with it.
Just wanted to give a big a shout out to Rogue Jedi (Lucas) for sending me some dental tools free of charge to help start my sculpting progress.
Without him, I probably never would have been able to create this figure. Thanks so much, if there is anything I can do to return the favor, let me know!

I saw that the options to vote on for this contest had included, among other interesting possibilities, a "gender-swap" contest. Even though Bounty Hunters won (and why shouldn't they?) I was interested in the idea of gender-swapping, so I gender swapped everyone's favorite Star Wars Bounty Hunter.
I decided to go with Boba Fett's first appearances. The first is from the 1978 Star Wars Holiday Special. The second is from The Empire Strikes Back. I am obsessive about accuracy and details, so I pushed myself to make these figures as close to 100% screen accurate as possible. I had a blast looking at reference pictures, and re-watching the holiday cartoon a bunch of times. I've put together a bounty hunter team created by Kathy Tyers for Star Wars Adventure Journal and included in Tales of the Bounty Hunters. The team is a red-headed human female, Tinian I'att, whose family were armorers and were killed by Imperials. She gets connected to a Wookie, Chenlambec, a reputed bounty hunter called the "Raging Wookie." Chenlambec is a rare "silver-tip" Wookie.

Here is my entry for the Custom Contest. This is a bounty hunter who used to be a Separatist mercenary and ex-Deathwatch member. I've included the ship he uses. I guess it's really Rohlan Dyre with some minor alterations, but I really just love that sculpt too much to mess with it. The second knife and front part of the assault rifle is from a GI Joe "Trooper" figure from the "Retaliation" series, and the carbine is a Battledroid E-5 blaster with a stock from Bossk's grenade launcher. His Mandalorian Ripper pistol is made of the rear grip of a Naboo Officer's Model S-5 blaster and front end of Bom Vimdin's rifle. Here are my five pictures:

Here is mine. I wanted to clean him up a bit more, I haven't had an abundance of time as of late so here he is. "Complete" for now. This clone trooper tried to defend his jedi master when Order 66 came down. He was gun downed by his clone brothers without hesitation, and left for dead. He awoke weeks later with to find that he had been "saved". Now over 60% of his body is cybernetic. He barely remembers anything of his past, all he knows is betrayal, and a strong hatred for the new empire. His name is AMUR, and he'll accept any bounty that will hurt the Empire, or get him close enough to hurt them any way he can.

Here is my entry and soooooo happy to post something finally! With a 2 1/2 year old and a 7 month old, I feel old! Anyway, this is Daricus Brotuus.
Daricus Brotuus is a bounty hunter in the Outer Rim. His theory being that many bounties from all over the galaxy find their way to the Outer Rim. Beware, he does have a bad attitude but his word is good when it comes to business. He rewards his sources and suppliers when a bounty is completed, knowing that they will make sure that he gets whatever he asks for or else.
