I scoured their store search last time and would have to drive four hours one way to get to one in my state. Gonna have to have some help to pick this one up.

Tamer....they are gonna have pre orders at San Diego Comic Con? If you could get any info on this I have a friend going to the Con....maybe he could get a extra I could share. This is defineately a must have.

I am not sure what that means (perahps congoers will be able to pay and order one with their SDCC purchase) but if I find out more info I will let you know.

Walgreens strikes me as an odd choice. I'd like to see an animated Boba (Droids cartoon) in this scale, might be cool enough to pull me into buying a figure from this line!

Yeah, hear you. I haven't known SW.com to be wrong though. Weird that we didn't get some type of email from our Hasbro PR folks, but I will definitely be seeing if can glean anything from them about it.

According to a Walgreens associate, their store is due to stock the exclusive Black Series 6” Prototype Boba Fett on 9/2/2014. He also confirmed the $19.99 price. But there is a caveat. This associate works at a store in Alaska. It is not known if this is specific to that one store or chain-wide. Regardless this should give you a rough estimate of when to start stalking your local pharmacy which will soon learn to regret inviting the locust swarm of adult collectors!

Following the news from the other day about Hasbro releasing a Walgreens exclusive 6" The Black Series Boba Fett in prototype armor figure next month, we now have some more details to share with you. Like with Hasbro's Marvel Legends Agent Venom figure which will also be a Walgreens exclusive, Boba Fett will ship in a special assortment of Black Series figures exclusive to the drugstore retail chain. The figures that will be shipping in this exclusive assortment with the Boba Fett (Prototype Armor) will be re-releases of the following:
- Episode VI Jedi Luke
- Sandtrooper
- Stormtrooper
- Darth Vader
Except for Boba Fett, these figures will see a general release at other retail outlets. The Walgreens assortment should start hitting shelves on or around August 27, 2015 and Hasbro will be initiating some kind of pre-order for Boba Fett during Comic-Con later this month. Hasbro tells us they will officially be revealing the details on how the whole pre-order thing will work as we get closer to the convention which begins on July 23.
According to an article by the Examiner, Walgreens will also be getting an exclusive My Little Pony figure along with Venom and Boba Fett, and in that article it says folks attending Comic-Con will be able to pre-order the My Little Pony figure via a QR code at the Hasbro Booth, which will direct fans to the Walgreens webiste for pre-orders. All pre-orders will ship by September 15. Though not yet confirmed by Hasbro it would seem logical for them to use the same method for both Boba Fett and Agent Venom as well.

SDCC attendees will get access to the pre-order via a QR code available at Hasbro’s booth (#3329). The general pre-order will go live after SDCC on Sept. 1 and orders will ship by mid-Sept. Again, this is using the My Little Pony example, but presumably, the Prototype Fett would follow a similar if not identical system.

Yes this one will be a much better base to use for custom 6 inch Mandos, if it can be found in quantities needed.

It's not my cup of tea, since I think Hasbro didn't put in enough effort to really make this the prototype Fett, but I've found out German e-tailer ToyPalace has him up for pre-order:

Not necessarily, Tamer. If you don't count the clones and Imperial troopers, how many white base figures are left? Hundreds of Jedi, Sith, Rebels, aliens have been customized, each not being white :)
But I agree, white is a good base to begin with. Unless you want to paint him red, than you'll have to first add a layer of grey ;)

I talked to Walgreens Manager this morning & they only got 2 cases in & had waiting list of over 25 people & was told there will be no more? I was never told of a "Waiting List" when inquired on this after it was 1st announced. & they are hitting now.. 3 of Walgreens got them & all gone & all had waiting lists for them.. so check now..good luck

Look what I got at my local Walgreens today. Had to ask an associate, he had to page the manager and ask if they were ok to sell. Than grabbed one from behind the sales counter for me. A bit weird, but its beautiful.

Shawn, what is all this craziness with walgreens and the regulated display/sale of this particular item. From what I can tell, he isn't that hard to find now.

Clint, it just seems to depend on where your Walgreens is. I think those closer to their warehouses or distribution centers are getting more in.
If you can believe it, while I was searching on my order online, I hit find in a store and found out there was a new store just built just two towns over from me that I didn't know about that had one in stock. I was podcasting, but my gals were kind enough to scoot up there and grab it for me. It was minty fresh.
And on those of us who made online orders, after going through a huge rigamaroll where they tried to cancel my online order, I found out from a senior level manager (whatever title that is) that the internet orders will be fulfilled, but not until November 15th when their run in the brick and mortar stores is supposedly over. I thought that kinda was not too cool either. I still left my order there, but it seems folks are better off to try and grab them in stores.
The website now does not let you add to cart (like it did yesterday when I posted on it again) and will only let you search for the closest store that might have it (they don't guarantee it). I got lucky yesterday. If I find more of course I will offer em up to the Yarders!

Yeah, I actually called the store and made sure it was there before I sent my gals to get it. I would recommend that too. Of course I know that experience will vary from store to store and whether or not they will agree to set it back for you, which they did for me.

Yeah, kinda silly if you ask me. I thought we would at least get these a few weeks after they showed up in stores as you know some will set em out early and some later, but even asking about my online order almost had em cancel it. I pitched a small fit real quick so I got transferred and then found out the info about the online orders. I didn't pitch a fit buck kept saying do not cancel my order a few times and that it made no sense for them to let me order online if they weren't going to sell a few there at least and that Walgreens should honor what they say they are going to sell.

I know when I called customer service to ask them what was up they tried to cancel my order, but I got a bit huffy and they stopped. That is when I found out they will ship Novemember 5th. Of course you now see how accurate that was too!

I sent my wife on a chase a few months ago, but had to fight to get my online order last time. Looks like this time it will come in two to five business days so thats great!
