Title: Diorama Scene Filler "stuff"

It's been a while since I've posted on here (damn you life, getting in the way again). I've been working on a lot of diorama filler "stuff" of late and here's some of the results. I have done about 200 of them and grouped them into Rebel Alliance, Imperial and "Others"..."Others" being Tatooine, CW, Coruscant etc etc etc...There's also some custom figures in here as well and a lot of the troopers have been head swapped so they don't all look like the same guy. Life took a few concerning twists and turns for a bit there so a few things have changed and my new job keeps me on my toes.

I recently did a commission job for a SW friend of mine here in Australia and I have a second lot of containers ready to ship to him in the next few weeks. This mate of mine is using them for his G.I.Joe dios.

Post by: Wardog on January 18, 2014, 01:54:58 PM: Yeah it's picked up a lot. We got the second wave of the BS first then the first one turned up about a month after. The Plageuis wave is turning up in some stores. I found the wave at my local TRU and purchased Merumeru for a trade and a few Targets have been stocking it as well. I have no interest in this wave. The next one is the one I'm very keen on.

The recipe is pretty basic. I tend to raid chemists, discount stores and various supermarkets to get my "stuff".

I have thought about casting these but for my own purposes really. Two things are holding me back however: 1) I have no idea how to cast anything and 2) would anyone actually buy them? hahahahaha.

I have done some on a commission bases for a friend here in Queensland (Australia) but he uses them for his G.I.Joe figures.

I have done some work today on some new ones. I found some parts that I've never used and seen before so once they're all painted up tomorrow (once the glue dries solid) I'll see how they look.

Utterly fantastic work! I recognize a LOT of the parts you've used, because they are in my parts-boxes, too. But this pic... (assuming I piced the right one) Ok, I know soft-drink lids for the top and bottom, but what is the bulbous container you used for the main body of this container? I saw you've used several of them on their sides in another pic or two, as well. This is a great-looking pressure container that I would love to replicate...

I'm working on a few at the moment but work and life are getting in the way recently so I haven't gotten around to taking pics and painting stuff for a week or so.

Your work has completely changed the way I look at small plastic bits, bottle caps, everyday household items and EVEN KEYBOARD KEYS. Some parts I look at and think they would do well cast and reproduced without having to search up parts constantly.

I find that spending a few hours looking in discount stores, chemists, thrifty stores, supermarket household aisles, second hand stores, hardware stores and arts n crafts shops always gives me ideas and I always come home with stuff I can use and take apart and strip down. Council clean up days when people throw out BIG items like TV's, computers, stereos etc etc are also good to poke around in for parts and most people are happy to part with their stuff before the local council comes to pick it up.

Post by: Wardog on February 27, 2014, 07:49:04 PM: Here's a few newer items...I wanted to give all the containers I have either an Imperial look, a beaten up Rebellion look and a look that hundreds of aliens species use these containers to ship stuff around the galaxy, sort of like a galactic plastic bag in other words...common and every species/organisation have their own markings on them.
