Not sure really the market on G I Joes but almost $500 dolers for 5 figures seems a bit much, I looked up the crimson neo vipers, not worth much, and then the red fang ninja nad again it was not worth much, so why did this lot go for soo much, any avid G I joe fan know?

I have no idea. Good question though. I will take it to our front and facebook page and see if I can find an answer.

Looks to me like someone tried to enter $47.60 and double-struck the 0. And then someone else panicked and superbid. Or, possibly, back-door deal made to cancel the accidental bid. Last 2 bidders have feedback of 2 and 0, respectively.
-
Also, the winning bidder has 39 bids in their "apparently short" lifetime - ALL of them with this seller and 38 of them within the past hour. If I were the seller, I'd be VERY CAREFUL about this one. In fact, I'd be tempted to cancel that entire auction and restart it.
-
It is definitely one of the weirdest ebay auctions I have seen.
-
Seems like an accident of some sort, or some type of scam perhaps. Not saying these are bad customs at all, but I can't see anyone willing to pay that much for some army builders. You think they'd contact the seller for a commission before shelling out hundreds if they were that interested. But if this is what Joe customs are going for, I'd get in on the action if I were you ;D

I asked some of my JOE friends on Facebook and they came up with a couple of idea from money laundering to sympathetic bidders (friends trying to drive the price up). I am anxious to see if Clint comments on this as he is an ebay aficionado.

Okay, go a lot of expected answers, accidents, crazy bidders, etc., but I never thought of sympathetic bidders, thanks tamer ;D

just look at the winning bidders #'s. the winner has never won a bid and the 2nd place bidder only has 2 wins.
Sounds like the bid up, that hit the wrong #'s. the joys of Ebay.
