Excellent! Im guessing theres a figure under there somewhere for the articulation, but as Tamer says great sculpting work!

Pretty cool!  I'm a fan of all things Alien/Prometheus, so this was neat to wake up to this morning.

Have you sculpted long?  This is definitely an intricate design and one that came out looking very detailed.  The organic look of the Prometheus engineers could not have been any easy subject to tackle!

Congrats on a great piece and welcome to the Yards!

Great sculpt! How long dod it take? And what figure did you use for a base? Or like Sithfire youi built a frame out of different figures?

Thanks for the warm welcome guys and also the fantastic comments.

Tamer thanks so much for putting that on the front page and also the great write up! much appreciated man and really makes me feel welcome to a great site.

I was told about this site by a veteran member Clonehead! so a massive thanks to him.

The custom! well, it took me about a week give or take to make, if i sculpt a little each night. sometimes i will do some sculpting on a fig then not touch it for a week or so, so it asll depends on how im feeling.

Jedimerc ive been sculpting for about a year and abit I think, in this medium anyway. not sure how long. i used to make animated figures like from justice league unlimited, but then moved into the 4 inch scale. i actually sculpted using blue tac when i first started lol. that was about 5 years ago now.

the base is a marvel universe gladiator, with the arms from the avengers movie comic line ultimate thor because they are bulkier (but unfortunately less articulated)

i made this custom about 3 months ago, had I made it now, i would have made sure to include more articulation such as ab crunch. ive been trying to get more articulation into my figures lately.

i extended the waist to add height, the head is from a halo human figure. sgt. something, cant remember his name. i use aves fixit sculpt, similar to what sith fire creations uses but obviously nowhere near to his level of sculpting, im a massive fan of his work and seeing his work actually inspired me to up my game when it came to sculpting about 6 months ago.

thanks alot for all your comments guys, im gonna put more customs in this thread soon.

Si.

Thanks guys!

heres some more...

Ive been working on this one a long time. I first put the body together about 5 months ago, maybe even longer. But I couldnt decide on a head to use for him...But it was only recently when I obtained This head which I thought looked like Thanos that I really got started on him. I had to do alot of sculpting on his chin and helmet but when I first saw it I knew it would be...

Let me know what you think and who I should make next from the Marvel Cinematic Universe

Next...

I made this Thor custom about a 2 and a half months ago, way before toy fair showed us the new Thor figures, i was actually pleasantly surprised by the quality of them, apart from Thor’s tiny arms, so I’m glad I opted for bigger arms here... some may say a little too big for the figure but I think he looks nice and powerful like he should.

I don’t know if Thor wears  a helmet or if he has bare arms in the new movie due out in November, but I have wanted a bare arms version of Thor with a cape ever since I saw him like it in Avengers. Well I didn’t get round to making a bare arms caped custom of him from that movie, so after seeing a set photo of Hemsworth's stunt man in the Thor outfit and bare arms, I decided to make a custom to match....

Just finished up Malekith tonight. I unfortunately didn’t have the Gi Joe SDCC Christopher Eccleston head to use, but I did use the standard Destro Eccleston head from Rise of Cobra and it still resembles him a little (although in the new movie he seems to have heavy prosthetics anyway)

Here is my 4 inch General Zod in my line of custom Man Of Steel figures. i couldnt sculpt it 100% to what he looks like in his armoured suit because I just dont have the skill to be able to do that, so I gave it my best shot and also kind put my own spin on certain aspects of it. i dont think he turned out too bad, although I cant help but think of war machine when I look at him... which annoys me abit. I used a war machine for the mid section, torso, shoulder pads and upper arms, all heavily sculpted obviously. the thighs and crotch are from a MU gladiator and the lower legs are them the iron man 2 hyper velocity iron man figure. i liked the sculpt of these so I decided not to interfere and try and make it more accurate to the movie on this occasion.

I have 2 more figures from Man of Steel in the works which Hopefully I can reveal soon!

You got some talent man!!! Wow.. All of them are great pieces of work of art, if I had to pick one I would pick  Malekith. For some reason he looks outstanding to me, I really like the two tone flesh colors he got going on. Very impresive blending of the colors here.

You know, had I realized at the time you were such a talented sculpter, I probably would have spent more time prettying up the casts I sent you.

Still love those wip pics. I like the second Bale head a lot better. That Raz turned out Great! Good likeness.

Thanks alot guys, glad you liked the Nolan trilogy update.

Got a few more from a while ago. ive since painted lips on this solid snake but here are my old pics...

Big Boss

This is my first Big Boss custom. The head is slayer (or tri gate as i think it used to be called when this one was knocking about) and the rest of the body is kind of a cross between the peacewalker suit and my own Version.

Solid Snake - Version 2

This is mainly my first version, but with a new more accurate better scaled head, and a better more accurate collar. The headis a gi joe scalpel i think hes called, but a customed one where the jaw has been widened and a neck peg created. The hair and bandana I sculpted myself on this head. The collar this time around was donated by some snake eyes armour, from the same figure I used for Big Boss' legs.

Thanks guys. darthstreams i use Aves studio fix-it sculpt. 2 parts that you pull off in equal amounts. dont need to measure it, just by sight is good enough. knead it together and it starts to set in a few hours. goes really hard in about 12 hours, after 24 hours its as hard as its ever going to get.

heres another one I did a little while back around the time the movie came out on bluray...

Thanks guys. Got some more for you now...

Ok so this is my 4th attempt at Henry Cavill as Supes. I liked my V3 but I just needed a more poseable Superman for action poses etc.

The head is a cast of the new Retaliation Flint (thanks so much to CloneHead for this cast, and the speedy delivery across the pond!)

I will hopefully get something more Cavill looking in the near future, but for now, I dont think its too bad.

The S Shield, hair and all other details are sculpted.

Arkham City Batman - 4 Inch

Finally finished my 4 inch Arkham City Batman. I actually sculpted the body and painted this figure months months ago, but took me ages to finally decide on a cape. I eventually settled on the MU Sentry cape.

The belt is from the avengers movie ultimate hawkeye with sculpted buckle.

The head is a hydro-shrunk DC direct Arkham city bats head thanks to Onxy Phoenix productions.

Roadblock - G.I. Joe Retaliation

I had both the Roadblock figure in the vest with the weird sculpted gun thing in the hand, and also the sleeved version with the weird white pouch on his vest.

after seeing the movie I decided to remake the sleeved oned but using the upper arms of the vested one.

I switched his torso for a marvel universe large buck torso (which the arms fit in nicely btw) to make his shoulders slightly wider than the narrow torso of the vest figure.

The forearms of the vest figure were weak in comparisoon to the more muscular sleeved version of Roadblock, so I put the muscled forearms and hands onto the bare upper arms.

I sculpted some t-shirt sleeves and a t-shirt collar on him, then repainted the whole thing. darker skin tone, tattoo, accurate tactical vest and then also replaced his over the top cartoony holsters with some more believable normal ones with side-arms in them. (i just couldnt bare the other ones)

and just incase any ones mentions it, i really wasnt feeling that bull tattoo on his right arm. its too much of his wrestler persona to really fit in with GI joe if you ask me.

Supes looks great (and I'm continuously amazed by Zod every time I catch a glimpse).

The texture on Supes' suit is out of this world awesome and the Flint head actually works really well for Cavill.

Man Of Steel Movie

Jor-El, Faora-Ul and General Dru-Zod 2.0 4 Inch Customs

Hi guys. its been a while since my last update. But here are some Man Of Steel figures I've been working on for a while. I have taken a few creative liberties with these figures. Ive tried to make them accurate where I can, but then kind gave it my own spin on certain elements of them, such as the helmets for Zod and Faora, and the colour of Jor-Els armour.

Im not a huge fan of soft goods on customs, but I didnt really have much else available for Jor El and needed something removable for Zod. But I think they didnt turn out too bad.

Ive shown Zod before, but have made some significant changes to him since then, such as more detailed and better sculpted/scaled shoulder armour, better leg details and a scar down his left cheek.

I will have an update on the Man Of Seel himself pretty soon with any luck.

Hope you like them.

hey guys glad you like them, thanks for your kind words.

mandalore the head is from a wolverine movie sabertooth figure. i sculpted the hair and beard and also dremmelled down his mutton chops and sculpted his cheeks. its not a perfect likeness but still looks cool.

heres that WIP you asked for. luckily I had one lurking on my camera...

Nam-Ek - Man Of Steel Movie

This is the 8-9 foot tall giant (mine is slightly smaller scaled due to the parts I had to use) from the new Man Of Steel movie who gives supes a rather hard time in smallville.

This custom has taken me weeks to sculp and I'm really happy with how he turned out in the end. there aren't many reference pics to go by so I did the best I can with the few pics on google and the trailer itself as a guide. Expect more from Days Of Future Past from me in the coming weeks/months.

Every single custom on here is simply blowing my mind.  You're a masterful sculpter!

That Lobster Johnson actually made me make an unmanly sound out loud.

Amazing work once again! This one is such a challenging sculpt and you have crushed it! I really love the way you paint all of the faces, great shading and tone work. Each one of your figures is a beauty to behold and they somehow get better with each update. One question for you, is it the camera angle or are the feet a bit too small on this last Logan?

Do you sculpt all your own heads too?

thanks Sjefke. I am far from the best but I have improved as of late as I'm using a few different techniques and devoting more time to my sculpts.

I don't really sculpt my own heads, I cant sculpt faces yet anything beyond an extended chin or wider jaw. Bu I do sculpt my own hair and facial hair on my customs.

Love these latest updates. Deathstroke's on my list as well, along with 327 other projects, but you've really nailed him. Great work.

Wolverine's great as well. Great work on adding that texture to his suit.

Thanks for sharing a couple of WIP shots, it's great to see how customs come to be.

Thanks a lot chaps.

here is my latest custom...

Hercules - Dwayne Johnson/The Rock

The movie comes out next month and I'm really looking forward to this. I've always been a massive fan of Greek Mythology and in particular, Hercules!

I hope to get to some other characters down the road from Green Mythology.

Please forgive my sculpting of the Nemean Lion head, I've never sculpted a Lion before and it was my first attempt. I may re-sculpt it at some point to make it less... gerbil-esque (got to be honest)

But for now, I hope you enjoy this custom.

here is Achilles too...

Achilles - Troy Movie 2004 - 4 Inch Scale

I actually made this custom well over a year ago, but I don't think I ever got around to posting him for some reason. As I have a bit of an ancient Greek theme going at the moment with recently posting my Hercules, I thought id show you Achilles too.

Wonder Woman - Batman V. Superman: Dawn Of Justice

My latest addition to my custom DC cinematic universe has been a long time coming. As soon as they announced Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman I've been putting the pieces together, waiting for the first picture so I can start making the custom. Well this past comic con they showed the first image and it was fantastic. I immediately started work on her and have just finished her up.

The figure features a removable harness which is attached via a series of neodymium magnets. The lasso of truth she carries on her right his is also attached via magnet, with one imbedded in her hip and her skirt covering it up.

I had to extend the height of the figure. Apparently Gadot is around 5'9" so I tried to make her roughly the right height, compared to bats and Supes.

Recipe:

Head: MU She-Hulk
Hair: Vortious Customs female hairpiece
Upper body/arms: Latest Avengers cartoon Black Widow
Lower body/legs: Old MU Black Widow
Harness: Elastic bands
Lasso Of truth: Indiana Jones Whip
All Armour: Sculpted
Sword and sheath: from The Hobbit Thorin Oakenshield.

Thanks for looking guys,

Have a look through the rest of my customs to see more DC movie figures, plus Marvel and other movie/Game figures.

Jor-El W/ Kelex

This has taken me a few months to make, and several months since its inception. I originally tasked Glassman Customs with shrinking the Mattel movie masters Jor-El head for me, after a month or two, that was done and I started work on my Jor El 2.0. Its been possibly my most complex sculpt next to my Dredd 2012 and Marvel Select Winter Soldier customs.

I've really enjoyed making this custom and its kind of strange that he is finally finished after having him production for so long. For those that pay attention to detail, you may notice that Jor-El sports a fully sculpted mole on his left cheek for authenticity purposes haha.
The cape is removable and is attached via neodynium magnet, as are the shoulder pads.

Recipe:

Head: Movie masters shrink
Body/Arms: MU Warpath
Hands: GI Joe ROC Delta 6 Accelerator Suit
Shoulder Armour: MU Iron Man 2 Warpath
Legs: MU Doctor Doom
Armour over body arms and legs and shoulders: Fully sculpted
Mole and beard: Fully sculpted
Kelex: fully sculpted

@ darthsinister. I don't thnk im going to make anymore for the time being. Not until I see either set photos or official photos of anyone else. I will definitely be making as many DC movie characters as I can. When we see Aquaman I will start him straight away, same with Cyborg who is reportedly in the new movie and anyone else who shows up. I really want to make an armoured batman from the SDCC footage but you just don't see enough of his body to really make it and have it accurate. I could do his helmet, but other than that you can kind of see his shoulder. When pics are available, rest assured I will be making them to the exact same standard as my current Man Of Steel / DC Cinematic figures.

The next custom you see on here from me will more than likely be Thanos from the new GOTG movie.

Thanos - Guardians Of the Galaxy Movie Version - 4 Inch Scale

I have been making this version of Thanos ever since I saw him in the Guardians of the Galaxy movie back at the end of July. I have been working on it steadily ever since then. So here I am just over 2 months later and he’s finally finished. Scroll right to the bottom to see the recipe after all the pics.

The figure is in the 4 inch scale, I reckon he stands somewhere around the 8 foot mark in scale to the other figures. Its hard to see how tall he was in the movie considering he was sitting down the whole time, but looking at the scale of him I have just to take an educated guess.

So here are my latest versions of Starlord and Drax. I actually made these quite a while before the movie came out. I based it on the picture that was released as part of the movies promotion, where all the team are in their red uniforms, which we subsequently learnt was what they wore going into the movies final battle. Through most of the movie they all wore their own clothes which didn’t match, but when making a custom team such as this, I really wanted to make the versions of them all in a standard uniform, so I opted for this red one. I will hopefully get to making Rocket, Gamora and even Groot to finish off the team, but I have a lot of work to do as I’ve only started Rocket thus far.

Both figures uniforms are scratch sculpted and so is Starlord's helmet. Starlords element guns are custom made using parts from 6 different guns (for each gun)

Peter Quill A.K.A. “Starlord“

Black Panther Marvel Cinematic Universe 4 Inch

Like most Marvel Cinematic Universe fans, I've been waiting ages for them to finally reveal that they are making a Black Panther movie. After the casting a few weeks ago of Chadwick Boseman in the role and some concept art that was shown, I decided to take a stab at him to add to the other Avengers/MCU figures I've made. The suit is extremely complex, so I tried to get it as accurate as I could, but as usual, have taken a little artistic license here and there.
