Title: Takeshi Inhabas Custom Corner
Post by: TakeshiInhaba on March 10, 2013, 09:27:08 AM
Hello there guys,

iam Thomas from Germany and i recently started with customizing some Figures.
My first full custom was this lovely lady:

She's a female mercenary for the republic, i was always wondering how the republic was able to defend themself without the clones doing everything? So the idea of some freelance troopers came to my mind and here she is: my freelancer team Sniper - Yasmin "Jazzie" Thackery - shes nearly finished, i only have to add some more details and paint and shes off to kick some ass.
I used:
Body, Head, Arms and upper Legs - GI Joe ROC Baroness
Lower Legs, Helmet, Shoulderpad - ROTS Clone Trooper
Antenna on Helemt - Airfix German Africa Corps shovel and waterca (1/35)
Holster - Cut of from Saga Zam
Belt - GI Joe ROC Breaker
Scarf and skirt - badages
Gun - Random SW from the Saga Legends boxes :)

Next up is the merc team scout - Nol "Cutter" Warour
He is still WIP and still needs a helmet and some more details

He is made of:
Body, Vest, Upper Arms, Legs - GI JOE ROC Breaker
Backpack + Shouldpack - Airfix British Desertrats Backpacks (1/35)
Swordholder -GI Joe ROC Paris Pursuit Storm Shadow
Belt - Saga Endor Luke

Thanks guys, iam altough making a Sith Assasin and a Sith Warrior.
Bought an TVC Maul for 5€ at the lichtgeschwindigkeits.de board (largest SW Collector forum in germany ^^) and traded a lose ERG for an Delta 6 Duke.
Well and iam still working on a Darth Sion but i dont know if i like the color i've mixed:

The head is from ice viper and is planed for the Sith Warrior later on, iam trying to get my hands on a lose Ninja Ku to get a head for my Sith Assasin.

And here's an WIP Pic of my Sion:

I've chosen the TAC Anakin Body for my Sion cause in KOTOR 2 he looks more skinny than in most of the pics in the net, the other Arm is from the ROC Storm Shadow.

Like the assassin. Nice work on the female trooper. did you shave the baroness glasses off of her face? I tried that just earlier today but yours looks better.

Clint the Baroness he used had the removable glasses.

Nice figs! I like the merc and female Sith best! Sion looks like he's coming along. Keep it up. Welcome to the Yards!

Pretty simple Part Switch:

The light vest didn't look so good on him so i gave him a random Bullet Proof Vest i had.
All in all hes still a great figure. :)

And here are some Pics of my first custom figure, a SAGA Jango repaint:

The skull decal is from a pack of Game Workshop Space Marines.

And this thing was made for a friend of mine to his 26th birthday:

Thanks for all your comments, i do still have the problem that i dont have much parts so its mostly part switches or repaints by now. ^^

Heres an update for my Sith Warrior, i have all the parts now, but he still needs some paint (the Joe icon has to be wiped out! :D):

Furthermore iam working on my next Freelancer: Bruyn "Lucky" Locke

He lost his lower legs to a seperatist mine and has now cybernetic legs. Don't know if he's becoming my second in command or just a regular trooper, maybe even a medic.

I made him from the rest of the other two Freelancers:

Head - still doesnt have one
body, upper arms, upper legs - Quick Draw Clone Trooper (ROTS)
lower arms - GI Joe Breaker
Lower Legs - U3PO BAD
Vest - Retilation Beachhead Vest
Weapon - POTF2 Hoth Han Solo

Ladys and gentelman he is finished:

Took me a while to finish him, but now he is finished.

I mixed GW Chaos Black with Gun Metal to give him a dark metalic look, because the back of the GI Joe Duke was all black which was kind of boring. :)

Hope you like him.

Man he is evil looking! Nice work!

Thank you very much. :) If the weathers isnt too bad tomorrow i make some action shots. :D

The base figure was solid, but that hasbro hasnt painted the back in ANY color made me kinda mad.

So here are the Pics for my Entry in the "The Hasbro Fgures that never were" Contest, it's a Commander Wolffe in real style:

The Base was a TVC Clone Trooper:

Head - TVC Clonetrooper, painted one eye white and cut a scar above and under it at filled it with red color
Helemt - Movie Heroes Commander Wolffe
The Skirt is an old Sock of mine. :D
The Shoulder Antenna is made of a Shovel from my 1/35 Desert Rats and the stand of a Game Workshop Uruk Hai.
Paint as always: GW Citadel color, unfortunately iam running out of it. :/

That is a great looking figure!
Title: Re: Takeshi Inhabas Custom Corner
Post by: TakeshiInhaba on May 03, 2013, 04:57:23 PM
Thank you, i think the Wolffe is my best custom so far and he has a special place in my collection. :D
Iam trying to get a Phase 1 TVC Clone to build a Captain Keeli, but i doubt i can finish him in time for the contest. :/

Meanwhile i did a little testing with my Bane, i bought him without his cape, sword and all this stuff and i thought making him a apprentice Bane:

Well the Cape is dark blue, but i will switch it for a black one. :D
I altough want to cut off something from the hood, but i dunno if the cape will hold then. Ah, i figure something out.  DH

Glad you like the Idea. :)

Heres a shot of the newer cape i made, i dont know if i will make a third one, but i prob. will :D

I although changed the hood a bit, i did not like this clumsy looking front thing. :D

Here's a kind of a vote:
Do you guys think the armor should be left the way it is or do you think i should paint it metallic black?

Well and iam trying to get all the parts for another figure for the Contest, but i still need a Rex Pauldron, time is running on and on. :D
And iam still not sure if i want to give Wolffe a Jetpack or not, what do you think?

Last but not least a shot of something i want for a Diorama of an Imperial Intelligence Base:

Haven't posted anything in quite a while here sorry guys, had much trouble at home and at the university. :(

So iam back and here are some pics of figures i made:

First of is a simple GI Joe meets Star Wars Figure, i build him for my photo novel (which unfortunately is in German so i doubt i will post it here :( )

Base figure: Arctic Cobra
Head: Duke Movie
Other Stuff: Luke Endor
Weapons: Space Station Pistol and a ROTS Clone Trooper Rifle where i cut of the Stock

Next up is something i did for a bounty hunter group:

Juno "Kiddo" Jade - Pilot of the Mercs:

She is a Starkiller Hero repaint with a selfmade scarf and the Duke Movie Helmet

The last one is my female Mandalorian Bounty Hunter:

And a picture of her and Kiddo with another Helmet:

The figure is a Isabet Beau with a selfmade Scarf and half of the Swordholder of Storm Shadow.

And again i had been swaped away with work and work and work.  EL
Much apologize again to the one asking about the Ponda Baba. :(

So here's al ittle round up on my latest figures:

First up my Keeli got his Shoulderpads changed to the ones from the Arc Commander.

Next Up is my custom Realstyle Commander Fox.

I although finished my Sion, which had become easier as i expected. I've choosen the TAC Anakin Body, cause the most Customs Sions i saw have been using the Maul body which was imo. to muscular.

I do like her.  I'm glad there are a few other customizers out there who dont ignore the s
female characters.  I dare say, fans would have preferred the Emperor's Hand to the version that Hasbro gave us.
