Wraithnine here with the second of my 2 reviews ,this time its the new AT-RT with ARF trooper & TX-21 Tactical droid figures
this pack was always gonna be a winner a TCW AT-RT (which are very good )in 501st colours to boot plus a 501st ARF trooper (in an obvious attempt to cash in on the very popular season 4 Umbara arc of episodes and one of the harder types of figure to find a T series Tactical droid.
Once again no game card, dice or stand and the diorama back insert is there:

The AT-RT :
What can i say its the good ole' TCW AT-RT with 2 point articulated legs a movable chin gun and a cool colour scheme my only gripe is that the grey plastic they have used is a bit light so as where the other AT-RT's got away without an inkwash this one screams for one .

The Figures:
Now you'd be forgiven in thinking that the ARF is a straight repanit and repack but you'd be wrong it seems Hasbro has cheaped out once again .
i'll explain...
before when we have had a blue shoulder pad with a joint visible in it they would use blue plastic on the joint ring to help disguise the joint ..not so in this case the same is said for wrists and ankles as well .

also they have used the normal ARF head not the one used in the episodes with the added cheek armour.

last but not least the plastic on him feels...well ..sorta cheap ,a bit like the droidbait preproduction figures that were on ebay a while ago .
so disappointments aside i still think he's kinda cool.
TX-21 :
this was Poggle the Lesser's Tactical droid during the Geonosis arc , i am happy to report he is a straight repaint of TX-20 (and looks awesome )
same articulation ball socket head, shoulders, hips and ankles plus swivel elbows and waist.

so to summarise a great pack slightly spoilt by Hasbro's cost cutting .

Awesome review man, I will have to buy 2 packs of those one to keep the same and one to fix all the issues.
-
Great reviews, Jay! Shame they didn't go for the phase 2 arf trooper for this one.

Another great review Jay. Back to the front page.

Great review, I really like the Droid in this pack, he looks awesome. I like the 501st pattern on the ARF, but I think Hasbro should have put a little more care into the figure considering the price tag on these sets. None the less, it's an exciting pack and I'll probably be picking one up.

Great report Jay.
Where did you pick this up from?

Cool review!
I have this set MOC and not sure I will open but agree the Clone could've done with the colour matched shoulder.
The AT-RT with 501st piping is a nice item! ;D
