Title: KeepitClean Customs
Post by: keepitcleancustoms on December 24, 2012, 01:31:06 AM: This is my first custom venture in the StarWars universe. Didn't go too crazy, lots of paint washes and little bit of detail highlighting with paint. Also my first post in the forum so be gentle, hoping to get more SW customs out in 2013. Please check out Durge's hoverbike in the vehicles tread, I also have work in progress pics on my FB page in case anyone isn't familar with the toy....it dropped way back in 2003.

Thaaaaaaaank YOU! as far as the question goes.....we'll see when I have some time on my hands....I did just get ahold of photoshop CS6 so I need to study up and learn how to add some special effects to my pics. You guys will def stay informed when I venture out in that direction.

So to start off this is a total re-paint....for whatever reason I couldn't find a Hisstank that was black while out shopping so I had to grab a red one. I wanted to just add some subtle differences to the tank and give it a more aggressive profile and add some bad lil bitties from my "Red Bottom Crew" line as driver and gunner.

The base coat was added with some Krylon black base coat. Parts were added from misc Zoids and Gundam parts.....added the side guns to the front of the canopy, interior details inside the cockpit, and working pedals. A variety of waterslide decals were added as well to add another layer of detailing. I'm planning on doing another shoot with a dio setup because I know the black on black might be hard for some to see the detail work on the custom....also going to do individual shoots for the figures because their outfits are composed of darker colors as well hopefully sooner than later and Bio cards too.

Accepting offers as well before this makes the jump to ebay.

The base of course was the lovely retaliation ninja combat cruiser. I also documented most of the painting process on instagram and FB for those interested and included pics below.

When I sold most of my collection when I started college this was the only piece I kept, but now with my new collection ever growing it's time for this piece to go. Only mods were the removal of the "fins" from the cage and the addition of the grenade launcher as opposed to the bulky rocket launcher that came with the vehicle.
