Title: wheeljacks custom figures update 15/07/2012 Jedi Team
Post by: wheeljack on May 31, 2012, 07:01:02 AM
here is my first try at a custom action figure. His name is jedi Knight Titus Hunt. While patroling the sector around Lotho Minor, Titus Hunt's ship was ambushed and shot down. He made a crash landing on the junk planet but was injured badly in the crash. His face was severly smashed and he had to use his light saber to cut his left arm off at the elbow to get free from the ships wreckage. Lost and injured Titus Hunt would not have survived without his Jedi powers. He spent several years on the junk planet and in that time he built himself a new arm and a droid friend to talk to named R2-PU. He was finally rescued when a trash ship happened by his area of the planet and spotted him. Titus Hunt is a true survivor and a Jedi Ranger.

My next custom figure installment is Darth Infectious and the Legion of the Dead. Darth Infectious is an ancient Dark Jedi that fled to the Void of Chopani after the Sith defeat at the battle of Ruusan over one thousand years ago. Darth Infectious learned to manipulate the dark force to keep his body somewhat alive. His body is disgustingly rotted and full of plague, a single bite will turn his victim into a mindless savage zombie. For a thousand years Darth Infectious has hid on a uncharted planet in the zoid plotting, waiting, and building a army of the dead from poor souls that happen to venture upon his planet of the dead. The time has come now for him and his army to wreck chaos across the galaxy.

My next custom is Darth Chemos, his paint job could have been better but my son wanted him to glow in the dark, and the glow in the dark paint is not the best paint to work with. Darth Chemos was once a young Jedi named Jin Citro. A short time Before Obi Wan went to investigate Kamino, Jin Citro had landed on Kamino due to his fighters Hyperspace engines malfuntioning. Upon landing he discovered the clone facility and decided to have a snoop around. Jango Fett jumped the jedi catching him off guard and blasted him in the chest before kicking him into a vat of embryonic chemicals and leaving him for dead. Jin Citro was kept alive by the chemicals and his anger using the darkside of the force. He crawled out of the vat transformed into Darth Chemos. He fled Kamino in his weakened state vowing revenge on Jango. His revenge was taken away from him by Mace Windo when he cut off Jango's head, but he found out Jango had a son named Boba, and he has been chasing Boba ever since.

This custom figure is my idea of a teenaged Boba Fett. I wanted to give him the look of a cocky young gun, with light body armor (with some of his later coloring scheme already begining to appear). He hasn't got all the cool gadgets yet but he does have his trusty blaster. I like how he is portrayed in the clone wars series but I pictured him just a bit different in my mind.

Cool concept bro! I have a TOR (The Old Republic) era Mandalorian WiP that I'm plannin' on paintin' up this weekend... it is a lot "busier" than your teen-Fett custom... but I too went w/ a less gadgety version... plenty of soft packs & NO rocketpack... you did a VERY NICE JOB on this 1!

P.S. You had asked 'bout that rifle on my 91st Recon ARF sniper... I been holdin' on2 that nasty lil' beauty for a while now - it came from a UNIMAX Crysis2 fig & they are gettin' a bit hard to find in stores, but, ya may be able to order 'em online still... I am actually considerin' hittin' my caster friend TofuJesse up to possibly cast a few of 'em... :)

Thanks Bl4ck5h33p! Yea a young guy thinks he is bullet proof and would rely more on his speed, its only as we get older and wiser we know were not invinsible and would start making up for less athletic ability with our brains and gadgets. Its a damn shame that rifle you had on the sniper is rare, I fraking love it.

I feel ya on the older part (I'll turn 42 in Aug.) - but I don't know 'bout the "wiser" end of that spectrum... I used to box & my nephew (who is 16) wants me to train him in the ring - we went to the gym & I got all geared up, felt good, did some warm up & then got N2 the ring to spar w/ him... I went easy on him b/c I probably got 25-30 lbs. on him... I was soooo sore the next day! He is a good pupil & has REALLY fast hands... good thing I'm a counterpuncher :) ------- & if Jesse aint too busy & can cast some of those rifles, I'll send 1 to ya!

My next custom is a repaint of Gi joe Agent Helix, I just don't know why hasbro gave such a nice figure such a for lack of better word strange paint job. Anyway I colored her hair and gave her top a sexy red color, and girl got a fine makeover lol. Anyway I renamed her Aayla Xero and she is a deadly assassin.

My goal is to show other novice customizers like myself, that you need not be a Picasso to turn out some cool custom Clone Troopers, You just need a steedy hand, A bit of imagination, And a nice set of Decals doesn't hurt :)

Thanks Tamer  ;D Well my next economic project i think is going to be those little Ewok dudes and some sort of huge tree village, depending on what the wife will allow on the back porch LOL. I plan on it being weather proof and also a nice patio decoration. I am currently bidding like mad on loads of the little buggers, they are realitivy cheap, easy to get, and there is no end to the possibilities of customs you can do on them, different colors, patterns, and equipment. I want this village to be epic, I hope to get at least 100 Ewoks for this project. I always felt that there must have been thousands of them, for them to be able to overwelm the Imperial troops.

Love them or hate them, Ewoks are fun to customize and paint. My son joined in with me painting these Ewoks, it was fun showing him all the painting techniques, his is the grey one and I was shocked to see how well he did, I guess I'm a good teacher lol. I hope you like these because I have many more Ewoks to customize and paint for the village I'm going to build.

Wow, you are really cranking them out! Nice. You won't need that new ewok five pack the way you are going.

See, this is why I got excited about this project. Custom Ewoks are awesome. You aren't helping my unhealthy desire to accumulate a bunch and do the same.

I had to take a break from the Ewoks, my son came up with the idea to make Starkiller from a Duke head on a Cobra soldier body, but he wanted me to do the painting and sculpting for him. I really like how this turned out and I'm sure he is going to get played with alot.

That Starkiller mod looks great!  I'm not into doing versions of known characters, but I may have to try this one.  Also, QUIT WITH THE EWOKS!  LOL.  I've had an urge to do pretty much what your doing and yours look awesome.

Ah yea! That Ewok Catapolt is awesome! I love second hand stores for picking up fodder. Your Starkiller looks excellent! My son and I love that character.

Now this is cool as all get out! Back on the front page. Can you imagine the Ewoks on Endor at that battle instead of using sticks and stones using their teeth!

Y'know, one thing that always creeped me out about Return of the Jedi?  The Ewoks were totally going to eat Luke and Han and Chewie.
...What happened to all of those dead stormtroopers after the battle?

My favorite Sci-Fi series has got to be Red Dwarf, and I always wanted some Red Dwarf figures. Yes I know Cat is missing, my son found out I was making the Red Dwarf crew today and just had to have them now to play with. So I took pics of these guys now and will take pics of Cat when he is finished. Hope someone even knows who these Red Dwarf guys are LOL!!!

I absolutely LOVE "Red Dwarf"! Very nice job on these figures. I have plans to do these characters as well somewhere down the line as well along with a ton of Scutters and Kochansky(sp?).

Delurking to say "curses!" for beating me to the punch with this! I've had the boys from the dwarf in planning stages for a long time. :D These came out great though, what head did you use on Rimmer, that's not a bad match at all!

After my son saw Hangerbay94's Sith Padawan, I had to make my son a Jedi of himself. So I give you Jedi Knight Cho Kenn and his Padawan Pierce Sunray.
