Title: Peakob1's custom toys
Post by: peakob1 on October 02, 2011, 07:46:22 PM
Hey everyone this is my first post at the yards! Hopefully i will be posting more often
I have  been loving all the great customs that have been displayed lately. There is some real talent out there for sure
I thought I would throw one into the pot!
hope you like her, this is a custom I did for a friend recently and I put a lot of love into her.
so enjoy my Numa figure ... besides, what is a Waxer and Boil without a Numa to complete the set? I learned that one from sideshow this year
(http://i788.photobucket.com/albums/yy170/ChadPeak/Star%20Wars%20Custom%20Paint%20Jobs/numa3.jpg).

this is my hasbro version made from an ashoka figure and some other parts!

I will be posting a few more figure hopefully tonight or tomorrow night.

I love that Jaybo Hood. I remember when I saw that episode I thought it would be cool if they made a figure of him. I think he would make a good spinoff character to do a whole story of.

I don't actually use sculpy or any of the other products I have seen some of you use, though i would like to get involved with some because I have a fine arts background and some of that is in sculpting. I do what i call hard sculpting, where I use plastic and then dremmel it down where needed, like on Jaybos hair. Darth Daddy was telling me about a product he was going to show me but we have not got around to it. I think i might need something some time soon I got some crazy projects coming up.

WOW, so all of these changed parts are done by refining!? Bravo! I do that to but have never recreated hair in the manner you have. Your artist background shows as you have a great style that is all your own. I also love the characters you choose to imortalize in plastic. Very well done.

I just thought i would do a custom that was in the fan choice Poll, I'm not real sure how he did with the results
This is a modern play on the vintage Death Squad Commander combining the original Kenner look with the actual card back character
I made this guy for my self with a green costum, but wanted to make this version as well!

This is kind of a fun project i was working on and decided to put him up for sale!

Post by: peakob1 on July 01, 2012, 07:29:30 AM
Hey everyone sorry i have been away for a little while but as i promised! Here is yet another character from the clone wars! As you all know I'm a huge fan of the show! I think there are so many instances where you have these beautifully well thought out character with no where to go that's where I come in! I have made it my mission to try and make as many of the odd ball characters as I can, because I have a feeling Hasbro just doesn't want to attempt them and considering the news we have been hearing, I foresee them even going away from the clone wars completely! I for one hope not but I'm not trying to rant, I just think if there running out of figures they could as least attempt a few of these Jedi's,Bounty hunters and background characters even in realistic style if they want. Enough about that, I was going to post him yesterday but i decided to run around and try to look for toys with no luck what so ever!
so here he is.....
Droogan the street merchant!

Chad, this is amazing! Very well executed construction of this figure. The details are spot on and the paint work is fantastic. Such a cool caracter you have brought to life in 3D form. It ia so sad that Hasbro lacks vision in the clone wars line. Thanks for sharing.

Chad you are killing it man! Love both of these! So, how lame is Hasbro for not making the figures from the Box episode? anyone? anyone?

Your customs are super sweet man, even tho I don't remember that swoop pilot he looks like the rider that cuts infront of the Ronto in ANH. Great work man!

These figures are just incredible!  I knew you were working on Sinrich, but I had no idea you were so close to being finished.  I don't remember you even saying you were making a swoop biker all the times we talked.  Seeing him posted in the forums was a really cool surprise.

Thanks again for the Zombie Nightsister.  You should of heard Elias when I told him.  He looked up to the sky and let out this long "YES!!!!" In some long moaning way that can only be compared to the opposition to Vader's long "NO!!" It was was pretty funny.  I never saw him so excited.  I can't believe how many of your customs are in the collection now.  Love them all!

Hey Everyone been working on a lot of cool projects but the list of to Do's is starting to our weigh the to DONE's if you know what I mean... so I thought i would just concentrate on a few at a time buckle down and snap a few photos.

Of course I'm pursuing the clone wars toys because I feel there is a wealth of characters that deserve some plastic made after them! Even if they move into a more real style which i think is the direction that Hasbro is going in for at least Troops and Jedi. The clone wars has given us some of the most well thought out characters that just add to the list of possible figures for Hasbro to make! It's baffling to watch them give up on all the secondary players in the story and just make clones.... so that's where I come in!

Tonight i give you my second Cut Lawquane and a Trandoshan Hunter I will of course be showing some more ewoks in the coming weeks because I love the killer furballs, and i will be showing a new Droids Character but wont say which just yet I'll give you a hint...? It's a Droid =)

If you want more of my insight and just want to walk around in my Brain, check me out on FaceBook Look for Peakob1 of course!

Take Care for now!

OOO HHHHh yea! I have been wondering what you were up to. Customizing greatness was the answer. I love your character choices, even the battle damaged Anakin. Hasbro, take note, if you are going to shove 1000 anakins down our throat do something creative, like this. Love the new Pirate, you just can't make too many of those, they are so cool. Then Proto One, so awesome. Very nice work on him and I agree a new Droids series would be a great step after the Clone Wars has ended.

Well folks it's been a great year thus far, been working real hard on a bunch of new custom action figures and cant wait to get some more done to show to all of you!

To start the night off I decided to make a clone wars original from season four and man I'll tell ya it is a much needed item i think, because of the shear lack of clone wars figure just in general from Hasbro this was a really nice addition to one of my favorite episodes from last year, which was nomad droids... I know you might be saying right now, no way he cant like that crazy episode but the answer is yes! I love that episode so much, it reminds me of what the classic droids cartoons from the 1980's could have been! Any way i wont get too deep into that Enjoy! Just a small note the logos are decals I made and not painted!

You might think these next 3 are customs from previous posts well you might be half right
I recently finished another set of both Jaybo Hood and Reprogrammed Battle droid and a new commander Fil for my self since I no longer own the first sets
I did make some changes to each figure
Jaybo is very similar to the first one i made which was made from a Clone Wars Boba Fett with a lot of little added features the newest part of him is the added wrench to the back holster that is removable
I'm thankful that i actually can say there's 2 of these in the world!... that i created that is Enjoy Fil is on the way too! :D

Well folks, i have been working extra hard this week on some of my favorite customs and finish this guy earlier today. Thanks to Dave and the creative people who worked on the clone wars TV show, this great character along with Blue Snaggletooth, actually exists in the star wars galaxy, so i decided to make a modern take on the original Kenner action figure.

(http://i788.photobucket.com/albums/yy170/ChadPeak/walrusman5_zpsc7cfe814.jpg) (http://s788.photobucket.com/user/ChadPeak/media/walrusman5_zpsc7cfe814.jpg.html)(http://i788.photobucket.com/albums/yy170/ChadPeak/walrusman1_zps5933fb53.jpg) (http://s788.photobucket.com/user/ChadPeak/media/walrusman1_zps5933fb53.jpg.html)(http://i788.photobucket.com/albums/yy170/ChadPeak/walrusman6_zps4c559e7e.jpg) (http://s788.photobucket.com/user/ChadPeak/media/walrusman6_zps4c559e7e.jpg.html)(http://i788.photobucket.com/albums/yy170/ChadPeak/walrusman3_zpsde00a3df.jpg) (http://s788.photobucket.com/user/ChadPeak/media/walrusman3_zpsde00a3df.jpg.html)(http://i788.photobucket.com/albums/yy170/ChadPeak/walrusman2_zps5b31165f.jpg) (http://s788.photobucket.com/user/ChadPeak/media/walrusman2_zps5b31165f.jpg.html)(http://i788.photobucket.com/albums/yy170/ChadPeak/walrusman4_zpsb9f62d03.jpg) (http://s788.photobucket.com/user/ChadPeak/media/walrusman4_zpsb9f62d03.jpg.html)

This figure is made from a GI Joe action figure along with some fixit sculpt for his head and portions of his outfit, the stormtrooper blaster is the only thing that is of star wars origin.

Sometime I have to get your take on the new TV Show Rebels coming out.

I'm as excited for Rebels as i still am for the Clone Wars, and droids from the 80's for that matter, My take on it is this, "Rebels,it's new star wars", "its episodic Saturday morning TV serials just the way George wanted them. it's a beautiful thing. I still want movies and everything but bring on more. You cant dilute something as meaty and amazing as the star wars galaxy!

Yeah I have most of what your asking for on my Facebook page
PEAKOB1 Custom Creations please come like it, I don't mind one bit!
I save most of my early shots WIPS and what not there so you can really get into my head and why I do the things I do as a customizer.
I mostly just post what I call studio shots everywhere else.

They are all amazing.  Sculpting in this scale just to get something acceptible is a real challenge, but you even manage to give the pieces real expression and attitude with that great Peakob style.

Hey Impurge LOL! ;D I did that figure 3 years ago actually isn't that crazy?  For the Luke Jedi training arms, use either the medical scrubs Luke or the VOTC version, best arms out there! I'm tempted to get the new figure and retool him a bit!

Hey folks hope all is going well wanted to drop another character from "The Box Project" that i'm working on.
If your unsure what that is or you don't know a lot about clone wars the animated series, The box was an episode from the clone wars that pitted 13 of the baddest bounty hunters in the galaxy against one another in a game of death, and i'm going to be making twelve of them since Embo has already been made.

Chad, I love how you are keeping the Clone Wars alive by making some of the greatest characters from the series. I love each one of these and can see the hard work and love you put into them. Assajj and the Duchess are real stand outs for me, so much work put into those to get the sculpt right. Finalized by your trademark paint style and you have top shelf customs figures. Thanks for sharing buddy.

Great job with these. I particularly enjoy the Satine custom, its good to have her rendered in 3 3/4 inch. The sculpting on both is fantastic. I think the little critter is fun too!

well i don't think you missed, the second to last episode but its called aTOOKA "basicly a star wars 1313 alleycat of sorts!" its also the animal that Numa's stuffed character is based too! there's a Filoni video out there somewhere that talks about it!
if Asajj didn't run into one of them,  Bariss wouldn't have caught her off guard.... ;D

0/I always love to see new Jabba's entourage customs.  These are stunning!   I have trouble with paint blending on big areas.  You've mastered it even in the smallest creases in the faces.
Fantastic sculpt work on Attark.  I see ball joints in the shoulders.  They're hidden so well.  Do I also see a swivel joint in his snout?

This looks like the definitive Hoover to me.
They're all excellent.

Title: SW40th Black Series SA 3.75 Kit-bashed Action figures From PEAK-OB1
Post by: peakob1 on February 25, 2017, 01:33:56 PM
Hello friends, Peak-OB1 here, just wanted share one of the many projects i have been working on.... How cool would it be to stop for a moment and because we are all fans of star wars, celebrate it in OUR OWN WAY?
Here for the first time, is an idea i have had in the works for some time now, a "KITBASHED 3.75 LINE" of sorts, to celebrate the 40th anniversary.
How cool would it be if Hasbro took existing products and made us "NEW CHARACTERS" that we can be inspired by?
Give me your thoughts on these....(http://i788.photobucket.com/albums/yy170/ChadPeak/KITBASH-POSTER_zpsilhxbvnr.jpg) (http://s788.photobucket.com/user/ChadPeak/media/KITBASH-POSTER_zpsilhxbvnr.jpg.html)(http://i788.photobucket.com/albums/yy170/ChadPeak/sw40besbin_zpsxfcbzhym.jpg) (http://s788.photobucket.com/user/ChadPeak/media/sw40besbin_zpsxfcbzhym.jpg.html)(http://i788.photobucket.com/albums/yy170/ChadPeak/sw403po_zpsyu2wartz.jpg) (http://s788.photobucket.com/user/ChadPeak/media/sw403po_zpsyu2wartz.jpg.html)(http://i788.photobucket.com/albums/yy170/ChadPeak/sw40Calamari_zpspg7fnvny.jpg) (http://s788.photobucket.com/user/ChadPeak/media/sw40Calamari_zpspg7fnvny.jpg.html)(http://i788.photobucket.com/albums/yy170/ChadPeak/sw40ERC_zpsse45eifx.jpg) (http://s788.photobucket.com/user/ChadPeak/media/sw40ERC_zpsse45eifx.jpg.html)(http://i788.photobucket.com/albums/yy170/ChadPeak/sw40HRC_zpsncx7koms.jpg) (http://s788.photobucket.com/user/ChadPeak/media/sw40HRC_zpsncx7koms.jpg.html)(http://i788.photobucket.com/albums/yy170/ChadPeak/sw40ROCalamari_zpsfsrvah1t.jpg) (http://s788.photobucket.com/user/ChadPeak/media/sw40ROCalamari_zpsfsrvah1t.jpg.html)(http://i788.photobucket.com/albums/yy170/ChadPeak/sw40DSC_zps8qfluyvi.jpg) (http://s788.photobucket.com/user/ChadPeak/media/sw40DSC_zps8qfluyvi.jpg.html)

A lot of these characters were made with simple headswaps and repaints, would you buy these kinds of figures if they were available at retail outlets?

Great work and idea chad. This is what a 3.75" 40th anniversary collection should look like and i dont think it wouldnt cost too much for hasbro to release kitbashes like these. Solid work

it's a fun project and i just wanted to send them encouragement to the rest of the customizing community, that this is the time to celebrate even if it's in our own way

Please stay tuned and this is the first place I'm mentioning it, i also have another "there is another" project called  "THROWBACK"  celebrating the 40th anniversary of star wars!!!! That's all I'll say so check back later for that series!

Chad I am blown away. Just flawless work. 10 out of 10. No licensee will be able to do this better in any scale in my opinion and I do not make that comment lightly. Needless to say, I am sharing this all over today.

Chad, I must say I am just speechless. I am a HUGE, huge fan of your work as you bring to life so many CW characters near and dear to my heart. Truthfully, I check up on your work every few months to see if you've done Trench yet...and here he is! Fantastic job, the sculpting and painting are incredible and seeing this figure makes me less sad knowing we'll probably never see a Hasbro version. Great job, and I can't wait to see what you work on next!

WOW guys! thank you so much for all the kind regards, this is actually a commission, so i thought i would go all out on this baby! Knowing it will be in someone's collection other then my own with such a nice barrage of compliments, is one of the reasons why this customizing hobby is so enjoyable!
Be on the lookout for a video debut!
Thanks again ;D
