Uh oh, Sideshow is getting into TESB Armored Forms. Does this look spectacular or what!

They have the IG-88 too, but wow this one seems to be over the top.

All I can say is, it's about time!!! I'll be ordering this one for sure as soon as they post the newsletter. I wonder what the exclusive will be... Carbonite Han maybe?

I talked to a friend who knows A LOT about Fett (won't say his name unless he approves) and here is what he said regarding accuracy:
Cons:
- left gauntlet too short
- webley stock greeblies incorrect, (nice that they show the incorrect side in this pic right away) the center greeblie with the red surrounding needs to be bigger than the remaining two. and on the side they are showing, there are only 2 greeblies, 3 on the other side. so one greeblie too much on the side shown in the pic.
- leather string on the webley stock mounted incorrectly, was knotted on the prop at one end
- chrome tip on blaster not there, painted black
- flak vest color seems off, not sure about the stitching around the arm openings.
- jetpack beacon too long
pro: the helmet
This could be just a proto and the figure might be changed until mass production.

Well I am really jonesing for this new Fett even with all its flaws it is one of those must haves for me.
I chatted with a customer service rep today who said the preorder won't be until September sometime! :'(

Me too. I got in on the exclusive version! Sweet, it will be my first Sideshow purchase. What a way to start.

It definitely is! Not too thrilled at the $175 price tag on him though. My first Sideshow piece was $59, and was the SDCC Exclusive Anakin/Vader from ROTS. Sideshow's Polystone Dioramas are around $200 each. And Affiliates no longer get a commission on the 12" figures? I'm a glutton for wallet punishment, I guess.

Yeah, this one has me wondering whether I should make a purchase of ole Iggy too. I can't even imagine what seeing all of the Executor Bounty Hunters together would look like. I would think it would be the centerpiece of any TESB Collection.
If you haven't seen the picture presentation of the Boba I highly recommend it. I will be looking at it many times till this ships.

It has a hefty price tag, but is well worth it in my opinion. If the in hand version even looks half as good as the preview pictures I think it will be the epitome of this particular character.

Okay, um; any chance this fig comes with replaceable gaunlets, utility belt and jetpack? They could kill 2 Fetts with on stone by including his ROTJ armor as well.

At $200 with shipping that was a bit of an ouchy, but do agree it looks like it is gonna be nice.
Are you gonna whip up an image guide or one of your snazzy videos?

Well I waited over a year for my Sideshow Fett only to have it show up with major packing damage. Not sure what to do with it now other than send it back for a replacement or let the loose opener faction here win. I was leaning towards opening it anyway, but for a $200 item shipped through UPS I expected better packing and better package treatment. Not sure where I stand with Sideshow after this, probably just down in the dumps a bit now, and the Boba seems awesome what part of it isn't crushed.
I will of course let you know if I open it! I wonder if Pat goes his?

Well, since my wife accepted my Boba from UPS, she decided to handle the return. So far she has sent two emails, left three messages, and finally she got someone on the phone today only to be told they will have to call her back in two days to see if they have any more. Uh, is it the hate the Tamer week at Sideshow? Color me unimpressed with their customer service so far. :-[

Well the saga continues, I do have a contact with Sideshow working with me now thank goodness, but their returns department sure isn't what I expected. Today UPS showed back up to take the damaged one, but Sideshow never let me know if they had another PF or not. That last I heard from them was that it would take two or three days so they could check their stock and that message was yesterday? So, my fingers are crossed this works out cause I really do like the looks of their items. Kinda hope I never have to return another one though.
UPDATE: I just got this message in from the Customer Returns Department:
"Thank you very much for your patience and for the pictures you provided of your Boba Fett box. Unfortunately, due to limited nature of this piece, we found we do not have any replacements for this item. We apologize for the inconvenience and for any disappointment this may cause you."
Uh, where the heck is the famed customer service they are supposedly known for? I am about ready to cut my losses and forswear their products I really am. Geesh.

So then my post isn't going to help...
Opened mine today and took pics for a forthcoming review guide, and I was blown away far more than I realized. Apparently, I didn't really pay attention when I ordered him, but he came with not one, but TWO base stands! The first is the simple, round base with Boba's insignia. The other is a light-up base from the Carbon Freeze chamber in TESB, and is spectacular! Very happy with him, can't wait to start working on the image guide.
That said, I'm very surprised that you're having the issues that you're having, as it is definitely not typical from anything I've ever read. I'm not surprised that the item is sold out, but it definitely sucks that they don't have any more. So you already sent yours back? Are you going to request a refund then? Maybe troll the E-tailers and see if you can find one that way.

Well after stewing for about a half hour after I wrote this post last night I decided to see if I could go straight to the top of customer service. I hated to pull strings, but at this point I was out of options. Anyhow, I got the head of their returns department on the phone and he assured me this was not how they do business and that when he emailed and said they didn't have anymore he was just talking about the box. His email said this item, not the daggone box. Anyhow, he said that it might take a day or so, but he would just replace the entire thing. So, as of this time and date, I supposedly have a new one coming. I won't believe anything till it shows back up. I am glad to hear about those two bases as to be honest I think I like the carbon freeze chamber one better. I am sure my experience with this is just atypical and hopefully from here on out it will be smooth sailing.

I am happy to report that my Sideshow Exclusive Boba Fett Ordeal is now over. UPS just showed up and the driver was treating it with kid gloves. The outside box had no dings, the inside box had no dings, and the box after that was flawless. I am so estatic right now I don't think anything could change my mood. I have to give a great big shoutout to Jennifer and Daniel for helping me get this resolved.
After watching Phatty's awesome Tube Review of this I was sitting on pins and needles waiting for this to arrive. It is indeed the Premium Version. Folks, if you have never owned a Sideshow Item I will be the first to agree with you that the price is eye raising, but the quality of this Fett is just fantastic. I don't know that I have ever seen anything look as good in any line in any size as this one. I am so glad I ordered the Bossk and the Snowtrooper.
Now, all I have to do is go find me the Sideshow Exclusive IG-88, which by all accounts is the best version of that character ever produced. Pat was right, Sideshow's Customer Service came through for me.

Wow, that IS unusual! This is one of the few items I kept in my collection, as it is just way too cool! If you were on the fence before, fall off of it and add it to your collection RIGHT. NOW!!!
