I asked Tamer the other day if I should start a new thread. I heard something about only going to 50 or so pages. So here it is. Feels kind of cool to be a part of this so long that I need to start another thread. The following pictures are some favorites, some story lines (ones I've put together or those based on Republic Commando), and some that are just a sample of the past 3 years of customizing. Enjoy.

So here's a custom that I wanted to redo. I had originally done a Fi Skirata in grey with red trim. I got my info incorrect and it's supposed to be red with grey sigil and trim. I still have the other one I did but I think I'll save it for another project.

Here's a bounty hunter by the name of Katareyna "Kat" Solaride.

Aleyna Dur'na was Jedi of the Old Republic Era. She was Corellian by birth and like many kept to her sector. She married and had a family. Both her children and her husband were Jedi.

Major Trehen Voux was the commanding officer for the Recon Scouts during the Rebellion. He was an honorable soldier and tried to keep his distance from the soldiers in his unit. Of course, that didn't happen and for each of his soldiers lost, a part of him would go with them. The only thing that kept him going was that for every victory, he did it for each of those soldiers.

After the annexation of Kiffu by the Sith Empire, many escaped to Republican territories. Jonas Hika did so and became a bounty hunter. Being a bounty hunter did aid in his true pursuit, the liberation of Kiffar that were stranded in the Sith Empire.

Kediin Sebod looked like a ruthless and dangerous Mandalorian and he was. He did have a soft side. Towards the end of the Galactic Civil War, Sebod took to saving many war orphans but not to be adopted into his Mandalorian Clan. Instead, during every action he would search for wounded, children mostly, and find them a home or to the right people that would take care of them. His reason for not adopting them was that the children of any war should be given an opportunity to live. He would jokingly say that none of them were ugly enough for him to adopt.

Thanks. I'm wanting to buy more paints but you understand, $$$$. I just can't stop customizing Mandos. I'm especially liking the idea of non-human Mandos. As for "life-like", Sebod is one of the most alive looking custom I have. It's just a Darth Maul repaint but the teeth really make the head.

Hi Guys! I've been more offline than online the last couple weeks. Summer Vacation!!! Of course, this means more honey-do-list stuff to do. We're expecting our first child in December and now is the time to do the baby's room. This was my favorite honey-do-list thing ever. I did the crown moulding and wainscoting. Never did either thing and it was an excuse to buy tools! Now the room's done, I get to do the crown moulding thoughout the house. That being said, I haven't done so much on the customizing side of things. I did finally get to do some and here they are.
Once again, I am adding to my Republic Commando novel series. In this case, I'm just doing a happy ending thing. Here's my take on if the Delta Boys left the Empire and came home to the Skirata compound.

Thanks for the FP. These almost rounds out my vision for RC novel customs. All I need is a Lord Mirdalan and that is kind of in the works. You'll see as soon as I can get to it.

One of my favorite characters is Corran Horn. I've been wanting to do a custom based on the book "I, Jedi". Here it is. I may change the head, if I come across something I like better but this was an excuse to use the new Dremel I bought recently. What do you all think?

Thanks. Yeah, until something else comes my way, I'll use this head. Along with this, I enjoyed the X-Wing books. I just re-read I, Jedi a couple weeks ago for the umpteenth time. And of course, there're the Republic Commando books... That's what summer's for.

Darthdaddy, I did buy that pack where he is in a flight suite with Whistler. The only thing that is consistent is the head sculpt which is based on the comic book where he is still with Cor Sec. He should have a green flight suite, and Whistler's paint is off. I was so excited when I found an R2-X2 to use as a Whistler
Tamer, I think I may have a found some new inspirations - novel covers. Any suggestions? Also, sorry about the dial up. We used to deal with it but now we've been having problems with our wireless. Darn technology!

Darien Novaburn's parent were going to send him to military school but he ran away instead. During one of his sojourns through the back allies of Treasure Ship Row in Coronet City's Blue Sector on Corellia, he witnessed a couple of Mandalorians "pick up" a couple of thieves. As they put them into their speeder, he approached them and asked if he could join them. Fifteen years later, he's become a top bounty hunter and merc. Once, he sent a message home just to say that he's alright. His mother was happy to hear from him but his father told her, they have no son.

Thanks WB. The one thing about this pic and the majority of mine is that the lighting could be a lot better. You can't really see the 3 colors I used for the armor (brown, orange, and green).

Tohnta Guriq was one of the last Jedi to leave the Jedi Temple alive. He was on his first shift as Jedi Sniper in the Temple's security section. Guriq had passed his trials into knighthood during his last assignment as a padawan with Master Kane. It was not common for Jedi to be recalled back to Coruscant during times of war but other seasoned Jedi were needed to lead units. His skills were thought best used in the Temples defense. It was the middle of his shift that Order 66 was issued. He made a reluctant escape after witnessing two of his fellow security and a master die at the hands of Anakin Skywalker. He had a sudden vision of Skywalker ablaze in horrific fire, wielding a red lightsaber, and floating over the galaxy. The Force seemed to guide him to tunnels under the Temple and eventually to the back allies of Coruscant. Guriq made his way to Sriluur and hid among his people until the day came for him wield his lightsaber again. Deep in Hutt space, he didn't wait long but he did do his best to keep it in the shadows. Decades later, he became an important and valued member of the Jedi as head of the new Temple's security and one of it's strong instructors.

The Clone Wars are over. The Purge is in place. Palpatine is Emperor. Many soldiers continue to serve whether it's with the Empire or outside of it. Crank and Bry work on the outside. They hunt their lost brothers and bring them back to the fold. Sometimes they succeed and sometimes they have to kill the lost.
Crank had just completed command training and was about to lead his first assault but Order 66 was issued. Right before firing upon his Jedi general, one of the veteran troopers shot him in the arm. He shot the trooper and 4 of his squad mates but it was too late, the Jedi escaped. After hostilities were ceased, he reported to Coruscant and served the Empire for another year. He was offered the opportunity to leave the service but only to become an independent bounty hunter. All of his contracts were to hunt wayward clone troopers...
After Order 66 was issued, Lt. Bry was on a transport and overheard a conversation between some troopers. They were criticizing Order 66 and that they shouldn't have killed a Jedi Knight. He brought them aside and shot each one. In the confusion that ensued, he explained the situation to his commander. He was sent to the brig and upon landing on Coruscant, was met at the bottom of the ramp by Palpatine himself...

Thanks. I think it comes from watching too much tv and "forcing" myself to read that "last" page or chapter before going to sleep. Imagine if I had a game system to play all those SW video games. Hehe.

Commander V'gr was one of the last clones trained by ARC Capt. Reece months before Order 66. At the end of V'gr and other commanders' training, Reece left for a special assignment with a Jedi General. V'gr was to take command of an outpost on the jungle planet of Draxon III. Upon arrival into the system, there was no response to his landing request. He then had the pilot land at the bases landing platform. He and two troopers did a quick recon of the facilities and found bodies everywhere. Each one mauled and viciously torn apart. Before they could return to their ship, they heard a growl behind them. It was a several cat-like humanoids mounted on the backs of Rancors. Mounted on one of the Rancors was someone in Jedi robes...

Do what I do sometimes, sit at my workbench for a long time until I pick a color. This could be a couple of minutes to almost a half hour while I pick through fodder and such until something comes to me. Or I've actually walked through the house, work, or whatever and see a color combo that could work.

Here's a simple WIP. I have so many Jango heads, I think I'll start using them with any new clone customs.
Denrhek was just another clone trooper that just wanted to get through each mission as intact as the next guy. He wanted his platoon to be just as intact. At the battle of Redlinta, he lost his entire platoon and his arm. After being dunked in bacta and given a prosthetic, his ARC Lt. was waiting outside the hospital ward. He told him that he was being cross trained into Special Forces. After losing so much, he easily accepted. During his training, he instructors noted a high level of aggression. They liked that.

Thanks, don't know yet if I want to do a major paint job or just a couple of tweeks. There are some other ones like this that I may pool together and make some kind of unit; platoon, company, or just a small squad. We'll see. School starts Monday.

Jazzen Avorex was a Padawan when the Order 66 was executed. He found his way to Djinn Altis and his sect of Jedi. For the next several years, he and his fellow Jedi stayed on the run.

The following is a family line of Vurks spanning centuries.
Neiro Bhu was enslaved upon rescue of a transport he was traveling on during the Jedi Civil War. His size and strength brought him to the attention of the Salelle Royalty's majordomo. When he arrived at what could only be described as a barn, he trained as a gladiator.

Zorda Bhu was something of a gambler/smuggler. He traveled the space lanes aboard many luxury liners, made and lost millions, and always sent his winnings to his village.

Gherz Bhu represents Sembla in the Republican Senate but has meeting secretly with Count Dooku. At first he was adamant about staying in the Republic bat was finally convinced by Dooku to join the Confederation but without the consent of the people of Sembla. His participation with events during the War was brought to his homeworld's government. There he was convicted of fraternizing with the enemy as a government official. Without appeal, he faced his sentence - hard labor in the colony mines in a ring of asteroids.

Dra'nka Bhu takes few things seriously. Shipping (really it's smuggling, just don't tell his mother), pod racing, and drinking are what matters to him. Anything else is someone else's business. Until one day when a strange figure came to him and asked him to take him and his friend to the planet of Corellia. Normally, he kept away from taking passengers yet he was compelled to do anything they wanted. They didn't ask for much on their travel. They even offered him some of their home cooked food. After landing he said, "have a nice stay" and their reply was "May the Force be with you".

At about the time the rebels were planning their assault at Endor, Takla Bhu was opening his family's newest travel office. They were hoping their company's line of shuttles and travel planning services would pick up with their new advertising. They had a serious of commercials that appealed to the more adventurous. The writers followed some battle sites days even hours after investigations by Imperial or Alliance officials. After the Battle of Endor and the death of Palpatine, their business boomed. Since then, the Bhu family have been great supporters of the New Republic.

As a bounty hunter, Mrikza Bhu was happy as can be. Business was good and he was near retirement, a rarity for bounty hunters. On what he was going to call his last job, he came across a Jedi. This Jedi convinced him to continue to hunt but for the Light. Bhu now helps to locate displaced family members since the end of the Yuuzhon Vong War.

It's extra heads from the Jango/Coleman Geonosis set from Target. Coleman Trebor went over a cliff fighting Dooku in the Geonosis Arena. I had so many after getting a few of the sets to do up my Mando collection. I figured, "hey why not do a whole race or family custom". And now I have. I may do more with the bodies but we'll see. Thanks for the FP.

They all look great. I especially like this one, reminds me of a Ferengi. May I ask where you got you display stand? Looks like one of those skate board sets.

It is. I'll post or PM you a pic of the whole thing. I don't remember which one, though. I've wanted to do a ST/SW crossover for years but never got around to it. Maybe next summer.

Here are a couple of Jedi.
Morbodo Gebo became a master not long after the Ruusan Reformation and still had a warriors heart. He and his circle of friends actually hoped for another war to raise the Jedi into their former military standing. His friend and fellow Jedi, Uhaltran Bwa'leyan, had to reason with him for fear of Gebo turning to the dark side. Years later Gebo thanked Bwa'leyan for calming him through the transition of the Jedi. This did not stop him from volunteering for missions that were quasi military in function with Bwa'leyan right next to him. Bwa'leyan always said it was his own remembrances of days past but Gebo knew it was to keep an eye on him.

Thank you all for your comments. I really enjoyed creating the Vurk family line. I had the parts and had the idea rolling around for quite a while. As for the Aqualish, he's the first of a bunch of customs based on older action figures sitting around in the fodder drawers. I have a new Dremel that will see a lot of action I think. Anyway, I have a few more that I've been hoping to post for some time now. I'll get those out this week or next weekend. They're like the Bothan I just posted, customs that needed way more tweeking.

Here're some updates:
Wolf Sazen was a Jedi of the Legacy Era. He was Kol Skywalker's Padawan and later Cade Skywalker's Master. He lost his right arm to Darth Nihl
Roqseilla "Roqi" Solarwind was a freighter pilot. She was very lucky at many things; gambling, routes, avoiding pirates, winning bids, etc. She was approached by some Rebel Alliance agents about some "special" forces recruitment but turned it down. Although staying neutral throughout the Civil War, it was afterward that one of those agents, Luke Skywalker, revealed to her that she was a Force-sensitive. She still said no, referring the safe occupation of cargo hauling.
The men of Drak Squad had their own code of honor and took jobs that didn't bend their rules, mostly. Just after the Vong invasion, they did help planets during the recovery period in different capacities; security, search and rescue, transportation escort, etc.
Darth Abysmus began as an acolyte of the Sith during the Mandalorian Wars. He moved up the ranks to Master. He stayed in mostly unnoticed, until after the war, by the majority of Sith Masters and Lords until he had amassed a large following of acolytes, apprentices, and other minor Sith. Together they overthrew the Sith and took on the reigns of leadership.

Hi folks. It's been a while. Here is an update on my Omega Squad. First up is Niner:
The first photo is a Jodo Kast figure with a clone head. I figured I could do a little more.

Next up is Darman. Not too much just a few sigils.

Atin had to be done because I did read a passage online, I think wookieepedia, that described his color combos. it said that he had a purple armor with some brown on it.

I've been wanting to redo Fi for so long. Originally, I made him gray with red trim. It was while re-re-reading the Republic Commando series that Ghez Hokan had red with gray trim. I then took the older version and used him for a Sev in Mando armor.

Corr is the last one of the evening. The body I originally made for Corr ended up being used for Boss in my new Delta Squad in Mando armor. I also added the knife he would sharpen on his prosthetic hands.

Clonehead, I am very proud to display them. I wish I had a better display set up to show them off. Small room and such that doubles (triples and even quadruples) as space for other things.

So, it's been a while since i've posted last. Here are a few I've done recently.
First up is Sekin Corikar. As the Separatists began to gain momentum, Corikar was recruited to be a hand to hand combatant for the Separatist Special Forces. Not political at all, the pay was just that good.
Darth Serpentisss achieved his rank just before the Treaty of Coruscant and was aboard the Sith transport that crashed into the Jedi Temple. He lead forces that would overtake the Jedi Library. His mission was to download information about certain Jedi Knights. A couple of them were easily turned to the Dark Side.
During the Battle of Kashyyyk, Cpl. Higgs was attached to a couple of Wookie Commandos to infiltrate and sabotage the Separatist forces from their rear flank. Just after his mission was completed, he received Order 66. He didn't count on his Wookie escorts keen hearing. His arms were ripped off his body on the spot.

Cmdr. Linx rose through the ranks immediately after decanting. Originally a lieutenant in the regular army, he achieved major in less than a month after leading a siege that blew up a Separatist droid factory. He told his superiors that he had no choice because the regimental commanders were all killed during a meeting when droids attacked. As the war escalated, he achieved commander's rank through initiative and attrition. At the end of the war, he was able to read through the lines and found his way to some members of the Alliance to Restore the Republic.
As the war continues through the galaxy, there are parts that have little care for the political changes. On Tembrin III a squad of clones, led by Lt. Rif, guard an outpost forgotten by the Republic. They befriend the locals and are influenced by their pacifist ways. When Separatist forces begin to come to this part of the galaxy, Lt. Rif and his men do what they can to save the locals at the cost of their outpost.
A maniacal bringer of death an destruction, Darth Vuurhiis traverses the galaxy for peoples to conquer and add to the glory of the Sith Empire.

Sej Nisan and Tik lead their men through battles on the desert moon of Deevee. They both admit to be tired of war and are hesitant to share this with their other men. At the issue of Order 66, Tik sacrifices his life to let Sej Nisan escape being killed by Nisan's own men.

Across the spaceways some bounty hunters look for work. Others, like s'Vrris, bounties just land in their lap. s'Vrris is ruthless and has a dark reputation for capturing dangerous and hard to catch bounties. He's been known to catch a Jedi or two.

After making his way to the Alliance to Restore the Republic, ARC Lt. 100 "Dublo" told his superiors to let him earn his rank and began as a corporal in special forces. He quickly earned his keep and went beyond lieutenant and became a major in the Alliance special forces. One of his old ARC buddies found him and gave him directions to a site where a cure to the aging process. Years later, Major Dublo was at the ceremony after the destruction of the first Death Star. He soon became a colonel and underground forces on Coruscant during the destruction of the second Death Star.

I missed out on the Galen Marek in Beskar'gam and so I made one. I have the original two from the Unleashed set and the most recent one. I just had to add to the collection. I don't know if I'll go all out to make him look like the actual figure but think of it as a holding place until or if I get one.

yeah,the galen mando is cool.I do have him myself.I think that the first headsculpt they did for starkiller(the one you've used)looked nothing like he did in the game.they've finally got him right the 2nd time around.I personally swapped the head of another starkiller figure with the sith apprentice boxed set one,because I like the first outfit he was in and wanted the better headsculpt on that body.I'm sure I'm not the only one to think of that,as I'm sure many others felt the same way. ;D

Rej was a cross trained clone trooper turned airborne trooper. In the last months of the war, Rej was separated from his platoon. On his way to the rendezvous point, he single-handedly brought down a regiment of droids by blowing up their transport. This act saved his platoon because the droids were about to land on top of the building that Rej's platoon was hiding out in.

Hi Folks. Haven't posted in a while. Here are a couple of Reptilian Jedi survivors of Order 66.
Zxxricnk, also known as "Zee", was with his pod brother, Qrinxeelicyan "Q", on a secret mission infiltrating a Separatist base when Order 66 was issued. They listened to transmissions of "Peace" with the Republic. They left the base and began collecting information only to discover the sudden assassination of their fellow Jedi. Knowing their other pod brother was in danger, they took precautions and began searching for him.

Well here are my entries for the joint site contest Imperial Ship Yards, Echo Base, and Yakface are doing. I haven't decided which to go with. I might mix and match, though. Let me know.
The Nisan family is an old Jedi family. They were one of the last families of the Jedi Order before reforms disallowed Jedi families and extreme detachment became part of Jedi doctrine. Sep Nisan was not a Jedi Guardian too long when Endy Kepo achieved Knighthood. They were assigned to work together on several missions. Eventually, the two fell in love, married and had a baby. Their daughter, Marianna, was strong in the Force. Sep and Endy both became Sentinels about the time Marianna was able to travel with them as their Padawan.
A bit of a rogue, Sep Nisan was still considered a candidate for the Nisan Clan Council. The Nisan Clan included both Force-sensitive and non-Force-sensitive members. There was harmony in the clan regardless of the issues of the galaxy after the Treaty of Coruscant. Sep often questioned actions of the Council as it, at times, conflicted with tenets of the Jedi Order. He could only do what was expected of him on his missions for the Order.
Order was always a part of Endy’s life. Organization was second nature to her as she would conduct her life and role as a Jedi with precision and attention to detail. Few had reason to question her. Her reputation would precede her and many situations were easily resolved when many heard Endy Nisan was on her way.
Mac, as was Marianna’s nickname, grew to become a powerful Jedi. She was given many missions that earned her the respect of her parents, the Jedi Council, and even the Sith. On her early travels, she befriended a Twi’lek smuggler by the name of Osta’zes. Mac wondered if Osta was Force-sensitive as well. Osta always was in the right place to help pull Mac out of many situations.
Decades after the attack on the Jedi Temple, the Sith still clashed with Jedi on various planets along the Republic/Imperial borders. Many of these were led by Sith warlords. Among them, Darth Shrotan was one of the most ruthless. Darth Shrotan became a nemesis of the Nisan family. He was responsible for attacks on the home planet of the Nisan clan, killing some notable Jedi. Mac took to ridding the galaxy of Darth Shrotan but was warned by her parents to tread carefully because they felt her quest would take her to the Dark Side.

Thank You! I'm considering using Osta'zes, Darth Shrotan, and either Endy Nisan as a Jedi Guardian or Sep Nisan as a Jedi Sentinel as my official entries. Regardless, this is what my family would look like if we were Jedi from the Old Republic. That or I'd be a bar keep at cantina in the middle of some suburb on Coruscant where Republic soldiers, cops, senate guards, and the occasional Jedi hang out. Similar to the Kraget where Kal Skirata and Jaller Obrim share meals. Imagine what dart contests would be like. Hehe.

Missed out on a couple of the newer figs. Now, I want to create a Jedi Marek and finish the WIP Mando I have. Again, another summer project. Thanks for the recognition.

Ok. Here's a take on training armor. I don't have names for these guys, yet. And I don't know when I want to place them - Old Republic, Galactic Civil War, Legacy Era, etc. I'm leaning toward Old Republic since I'm still on this Old-Republic-Trip-Thing with that multi-site custom contest. As usual, any comments are appreciated.

Thanks. I used some mortal combat figs that came out not too long ago. They were a set of three. You know the kind where they take the same body and paint it in different colors. I just swapped the heads and hands.

I'm on this Starkiller trip! Maybe it's because I'm still smacking my head for those times I didn't pick up the last Force Unleashed sets. Things get expensive and that's what fodder is for. Ah well, here go two WIP's - Mando Starkiller and Marek in Jedi robes I've seen online. This is the most I've done for a game I've never played. I just read the book and it was great to have read the development of such a character.

Three friends about 30 years before the Clone Wars, Rafti Oroko, Grookr'sa'vra, and J'han Trevron were one of a few units of Jedi that traveled together. Normally, Jedi would go on missions in pairs - a Master and a Padawan. The Council long ago decided to have some very competent Jedi to travel the galaxy in small groups for special assignments. Both Oroko and Trevron began as Padawans for Grookr'sa'vra. When Grookr'sa'vra was given the assignment, he was told he could choose his teammates. He felt his most recent Padawans would make excellent SAJG - Special Assignment Jedi Guardians. At the onset of the Clone Wars, Rafti Oroko was killed during the battle of Geonosis. Grookr'sa'vra and Trevron then went separate ways to lead clone troopers in different parts of the galaxy. Order 66 was issued and immediately Grookr'sa'vra was hunted by his soldiers. His Jedi training and natural instincts allowed him to escape but was abandoned on a very isolated planet when the new Imperial base was destroyed by CIS (now Rebel) forces, not knowing they were leaving behind a potential aid to the newly formed Alliance. Trevron escaped his execution and stayed in hiding until after the Rebellion began to make great stride, just before the destruction of the first Death Star. He then made his way to the Alliance, without exposing his Jedi heritage, and they assigned him as an intelligence agent near the unknown regions. After the destruction of the second Death Star, he searched out Skywalker and years later helped in the rebuilding of the Jedi Order. Although he was not an instructor at the Jedi Praxium, he did take on Padawans as he continued to work for the New Republic along the Unknown Regions and Outer Rim.

Hey Folks! It's been some time since I last posted. End of the school year, baby, and just stuff. Anyway, over the last few days I've been cleaning out the garage, as well. Anyone want any comic books from the late 80's and 90's, PM me. Well, here are some customs I've been able to crank out quickly in between things.
First off are a couple of repaints and head swap of Tycho Celchu and Corran Horn. Celchu originally came out in his A-Wing flight suite and Horn was in an orange flight suite. In the novel series, X-Wing, Celchu is depicted as wearing a black flight suite (probably his old TIE fighter flight suite). Also, mentioned is Horn's green flight suite from his days with CorSec.

Next up are some pilots from pre-Yavin. Red Squadron was the predecessor to Rogue Squadron. According to different accounts, in the early days of the Rebellion, there was a lot of hodge podge-ness. And so, I imagine that the squads at times were just whatever could be cobbled together. Here're some pilots from the early years of Red Squadron.
Rook and Jump were best friends from Corellia and loved speed, they were pilots with the atmosphere and space assault patrol (ASAP) division of CorSec. When Rook's mother was wrongly accused and executed for crimes against the Empire, Rook convinced Jump to join the Rebellion with him.
Turok Quay was a Weequay hunter/pilot and had a bit of a reputation in the Outer Rim. As the Rebellion began to grow, he decided to join and see if his prowess as a pilot would allow him to take on the Empire. Not just individual TIE fighters but everything from assault vehicles to Imperial Star Destroyers.
See if you can find Wedge Antilles in the mix with Red Squadron. There are a few others, I haven't gotten to yet but their in the mix, as well.

G'nar Nisan was a Jedi sometime before the Clone Wars. He was a from a long line of Jedi. One of the few that were still allowed to have a family. He mediated many disputes and was highly sought after for the more intense disputes. At the beginning of the Clone Wars, he was on his way to Genosis when the call came out for Jedi but his shuttle crashlanded on an outlier planet. He survived but it was an untamed jungle planet.

Nice pilots there, I like the corran and tycho mods especially. The green on corrans suit seems more of an olive and alot more worn than I have seen other versions of this and I much prefer your version. Wookeepaedia shows an image of Celchu's helmet, was wondering if you'd be giving this one a go?

First is an update on Nyreen Vollen. If you read the Republic Commando novels, you'd know Ny as the woman that Kal's boys are trying to set him up with. The one I had done a while ago seemed too smuggler rather than freighter jockey.

Good to be back. I actually have a couple more to post. Had to take the baby for a stroll.
The next two are Jedi also, from the Cold War-era. Guhrb xe Nidriv and Derrick Nisan are Jedi Knights that have ventured together on many crusades against the Sith. Derrick is of the Jedi Clan, Nisan. He is a bit more serious than most of the Clan . Nidriv balances Nisan and adds a little humor to many of their adventures. At the last Jedi convocation, Derrick was selected to head a small fleet and run "maneuvers" near the Republic/Sith Neutral Zone. At his side, Guhrb was mostly quiet (a sure sign of the seriousness) during Derrick's appointment. During the "maneuvers" Gurhb, as second in command, kept all departments on all ships on their toes. On the third day, a rogue ship signaled the fleet with a distress call...

Nizogrim Vhankri was a Mandalorian warrior during the Cold War. He was rugged and a hardened warrior but a fair sentient. He led troops through some of the Mandalorian Clan Wars.

Last one for the evening is Ghette Nisan (pronounced "jet"). Something of a rogue Jedi even within the Nisan Clan, Ghette considers himself a warrior poet. He believes in the Jedi Order and what it represents but feels the it should do more to help the people and citizenry of the Republic not just the government and it's policies. He has hung his lightsaber and armor at times to just "roam" and let the Force guide him through a city/community. But when reason and moral support aren't enough, he's ready with the skills honed from years of Jedi training. His lightsaber, always a nova storm in the face of evil and wrong doing.

Gryxxink was leading some clone troopers through a jungle when Order 66 was issued. Just before they opened fire, a separatist unit launched an artillery attack. General "Shink" threw a Force Umbrella over them and they dug under. They continued forward after the initial launch and pursued the opposing forces. This was not a droid unit but one of the few sentient groups that have rebelled against the Republic. Lt. Kick was in a bind. He was compelled to execute his commanding officer but his sense of duty and loyalty to Gen. Shink overrode the command. Not only the Lt. but the entire platoon. They got on their short range comm system and discussed it while pursuing the enemy. In the end, they warned the General and allowed him to escape. Upon returning to the regiment, Lt. Kick told the commander that General Shink had taken a mortal wound and vanished as he became one with the Force. All they had for proof were the general's clothes and Jedi robe. Lt. Kick suggested that they shoot a hole approximately where Shink's hearts would be and soaked it with some of the general's blood.
Five months later, Shink was able to reunite with his pod brothers, Zee and Q, also Jedi. The three wandered the galaxy as a freighter crew aboard different ships as work came their way. They did what they could for those in need but kept as low a profile as possible. Even during most of the Civil War, the brothers did not reveal their identity. Eventually, they owned a ship of their own and smuggled for the Rebellion. After the destruction of the Second Deathstar did they introduce themselves to Luke Skywalker and the Alliance leaders. Actually, that's two different figures. The one in the dress uniform is Wedge's first commanding officer, Cmdr. Awurdi. Yes, originally it's from that comic pack with Wedge and Borsk Fey'lya. I'll try to make the pictures clearer next time. But thanks for the FP.

Hi Folks. Once again I am playing the baby card. Haven't done too much posting. I have been doing some customizing, though. The other day, I completed another Starkiller. This one is not based on any pre-existing skin or whatever you gamers call what characters wear. He has both a red and blue lightsaber. It's not that he hasn't decided the light or dark side of the Force. He just happened to pick them up over the course of his adventures. Let me know what you all think.

Meant to post this yesterday, but had to say how awesome the new look for Starkiller is...I'm a huge fan of this character and I love when people take known characters in different directions or create new/different outfits for them. I like the similarities you kept (with the chest harness especially), but the color choices look pretty cool as well. Very nice work!

Yes. I could say it's because we can all relate to some degree or so, that we all face a choice that maybe of the Dark or Light Side, that the choices we make affect us greater than we will ever know, OR he's just a very cool character.

I have been itching to get a Zayne Carrick custom going. This is another character that I have only seen images of and read very little about. I like his backstory and am very impressed by how he is drawn. Anyway, in between diapers, work, and stuff, I was able to just cobble this together. Now that I have a working figure, I'll be doing details as time allows, along with the other WIP I have laying around. Critiques and ideas welcome.

Thanks. That one's name is Ghette Nisan. He's become one of my favorites, aw well. Be on the lookout for these and others I'm working on as part of a whole TOR thing set sometime after the Cold War.

Here's something I've been wanting to do for a while now. Came across a website that allows you to create your own trading card game. I'm not a big gamer of any kind, be it video or trading cards. I do find them fascinating for inspiration and presentation. I used one of my most current favorite customs, Ghette Nisan. Let me know what you all think.

Shistavanen Jedi Knight, Phrik Sil, was a Jedi of the Old Republic about 200 years after the Cold War.

Well, it's been awhile. Work and family...never saying they are in the way but it does mean keeping up with anything else is harder. Our daughter is now 1 year old and it's been amazing. The Force is definitely with her as her motor skills and all even impresses her doctor. Anyway, I finally have some customs done that I"ve been working on for weeks (more like minutes and hours spread over several weeks). Here goes. All three are from about 3500 BBY.
Briinsee was the first Iktotchi to join the Jedi Order. Soon after his homeworld was discovered, he and a few others between infant and pre-adolescents were sent to Coruscant to learn the ways of the Force. Briinsee "Bry" was one of the older younglings and although the Order doesn't normally recruit so old, he had been educated at a special holy temple whose teachings of pacifism and meditation prepared him for the Order. He became a Jedi Knight along with some of his fellow Iktotchi. He had a natural leadership and was given many assignments leading up to several other Jedi.
Gresh Nerin was an ex-Corellian soldier/pilot that served with distinction and earned himself Corellian Bloodstripes. At the end of his 4th tour with special forces, Nerin decided to enter fighter pilot training. His instincts and calmness in battle earned him a quick promotion to squad leader. Tired of fighting, he submitted his discharge papers, took his savings and bought a freighter. As a freighter jocky, Nerin learned to enjoy life as a business man and was satisfied when the customer was satisfied. Of course, life took an interesting turn when he decided to take on passengers that were Jedi led by the Iktothi, Briinsee.
Often usually taking bounties that were somewhat morally acceptable, Serynne Tehal was able to do more than stay afloat. Her network of clients and associates kept her busy with bounties that kept to her Alderaanian upbringing. No one knows why she entered the bounty hunting business but she always delivered and that's what mattered. Her latest job was to find a certain ex-Corellian soldier and deliver him to a cantina to meet a teenager. That's all.

Thanks. I wish I had gotten more of the Red Faction figures but I only got one of each except one. I've used the head of one for a TOR custom and I've got one more fig to use for a Sith-thing I think.

I came across the Red Faction video game action figures one day and got 4 of 5. There's a Martian creature I didn't know about. In fact, I'm not a gamer at all (can't afford both the time and money). Anyway, this figure's name is originally, Hale and he's some mad scientist dude. Correct me if you are a gamer and are familiar with this game. In "my verse", he is a Sith lord during the Cold War (approx. 3500-3400 years BBY). I haven't given him his official name and backstory. Still working on the rest of the figures that will go into this. Again, I'm not a gamer but I'm fixated on The Old Republic game. I got into the novels and the whole concept of this time period has been an inspiration for me. My more recent work being the mercenary team in red. I'll try and get in more pics of this Sith Lord this week. Thanks for the compliments.

It's kind of like a wash, but you wipe the excess paint off with your fingers, leaving it only in the recessed areas. Try it out on some fodder and see how you like it. Use a small brush and do small areas at a time. It's fairly easy once you have the hang of it.

Thanks. I've been wanting to use Gladiator for something; another Jedi, Sith, or Bounty Hunter. You know, the usual but I've been wanting to do this merc army for a while. I got more into the idea after I read the Knight Errant novel which includes a mercenary group.

I have been wanting to create some Endor Rebel Troopers, especially after seeing some by our colleagues here on the Yards.
Hakron "Hak" Eligner comes from a military family that spans some millennia. There have been everything from foot soldiers, to generals, to pilots, to fleet admirals. In times of peace, there have been training sergeants and even the non-military family members have been advisors to the military such as scientists and secretaries. Hak's family tradition kept him out of trouble...most of the time. As a boy about to enter the military academy on Carida, he question why he should attend an Imperial facility. In doing so, he enraged his father since they were in front of some colleagues from his father's base where he was the commanding officer. Later on he took Hak aside and told him that he was a Rebel sympathizer and had discretely given information to the Rebels. He told Hak to go on to the Carida Academy and do his best but if there were ever any part of his training that conflicted with the Rebellion such as pilot training/mission against Rebels, try to escape or notify him. Fortunately, his training went without major conflicts. He graduated with honors and left. He, his father and much of their extended family joined the Rebellion, discretely by ones, twos, and small groups. On Endor, Hak distinguished himself by singlehandedly attacking and capturing an AT-ST. He was given a field promotion of lieutenant and went on and saw more action throughout the war and the rebuilding of the galaxy.

@Luke Sprywalker, I have been slowly adding to a platoon of Endor Rebel Troopers. I'll get a group shot soon. There's actually one other thing I'm going to do with Hak before I do the group shot.

Ok. So i was looking at someone else's pages here and they were commenting on making use of figures from POF. Just chopping heads and dremeling them out to put onto head pegs. I've done a couple of those and after I did my Endor Trooper, I found an old POF endor trooper whose head I put onto the new one. Here's the result. What do you think?

What do you guys think about a custom contest where you have to take a potf2 figure and either spruce it up (articulation by today's standards) or use parts from a potf2 figure on a new body or frame. We could call it the POTF2 Contest.

Looks great, good job. I use potf2 figures all the time they are so cheap, just cut the heads off and dremel out a hole. I just took a potf2 ponda boba and did the same thing.

When Shae Vizla came out, I was real excited like everyone else. I don't even play the game but have been checking out TOR stuff for quite a while now. One thing about the figure is I don't think the head sculpt does the character justice. Surprise, surprise. Anyway, I did a simple head swap. I like when a simple something makes a big difference.

Yo Joe!!! Ok so, like many of you, I grew up watching GI Joe cartoons in the early 80's. With the whole new resurgence of things 80's (GI Joe, Transformers, Thundercats, Karate Kid, etc.), I've decided to add to the line of GI Joes many of you have been posting lately. Here are my renditions of Snake Eyes, Kamakura, Budo, and T'Jbang. I used the Snake Eyes head that came with Zartan, I did some leg and arm swaps with the latest version of Kamakura, Budo used that Asian guy from the Thor line of action figures. And for Tjbang, I used a Captain America head. Let me know what you think. Yo Joe!!!

Here's a new one. This is Nunchuk. I took a combination of the two renditions of him and gave him a more modern look.

Now here's a Joe that is based on my family's heritage. I'm first born Filipino-American and for a few years had known about the Filipino Martial Arts, Eskrima. With my renewed fascination with GI Joe Ninja Force, I figured why not. So, here is Bolo!
Bolo's moniker comes from the long machete type sword he carries. It has been in the family since the Philippine-American War of the late 1890's. Not since WW2 have any of Bolo's family held any animosity towards the United States. Bolo's bolo saw fighting through both World Wars and into the recent war against terrorism. Bolo is first American born and plans on following in the family tradition of fighting for what's right. He is a trained Ninja and utilizes his clan's version of Eskrima, Filipino Martial Arts, that is a close quarters fighting style. A unique weapon to Eskrima is the use of fighting sticks.

Hi Folks! It's been a while. Life Happens. Anyway, I did post on the ISY BDay Contest and now that it's over, I'll be posting what I did for that along with other related customs.
Here are the War Wolves. The Wolves are an elite mercenary force. It is a time not long after the Great War (3472 BBY) and throughout the Galaxy mercenary groups are in abundance. One such group, The War Wolves, have established themselves as one of the best.
General Mer'aet'htorikstir, founder and leader of the War Wolves Independent Military Force. Raeth left the Chiss Defense Fleet due to "differences of opinion". He searched out a Republic Officer he once fought against and together they founded a small mercenary unit that eventually became the War Wolves. Kleese, his loyal companion, was a pup and only survivor of a litter found on one of Mer'aet'htorikstir's first missions as a mercenary. Kleese has been at Raeth's side ever since.
Commander Wren d'Rex is a former Republic trooper officer. He and Mer'aet'htorikstir met on opposing forces and due to circumstances were forced to work together. After his tour of duty, he resigned his commission and joined Mer'aet'htorikstir to form a mercenary group that eventually became the War Wolves.
Captain Myles Weslin was arrested for being drunk and disorderly after he was dishonorably discharged from the Republic Military. Arrested with him were Raeth and Wren. They believed his story that although he did what he was accused of, he did it to retain his own personal honor.
Captain Xandria Luxzian was working for her father at his restaurant when theives came in and robbed the restaurant and it's patrons. She was about to throw a knife at one of the robbers, when his partner shot her arm. The arm was irrepariable and the robbers got away. A year later, she came across the theives and unintentianaly killed them both. She was on the run from the law when she met the War Wolves.

Sergeant Whuxean Blok has wanted to be a warrior hunter since he heard stories about his ancestors during the last Republic-Sith Wars.
Dargien Zell, Communications. Zell was an expert slicer that was recruited by d'Rex. It was when d'Rex's system was hacked into that he wanted to find the person that did it, first to "deal" with him but instead, recruited Zell into the War Wolves.
h'Ran "Beeboo" Chivkina. Beeboo, short for Big Blue, is from a long line of warriors who has found a group that surprisingly is high in honor.
Col Eligner. As a teenager, Col watched his parents murdered in the streets of Tyrena on Corellia. The shooters were caught by CorSec and as they were hauling them away, Col took one of the officers rifle and shot the men with deadly accuracy. Col was arrested but had a short sentence due to leniency of the court. Upon release, he had no direction. He bumped into Zell at a restaurant where they became quick friends.

Rok Pestin found himself as a recruit with the War Wolves after his sister was recruited to be a computer slicer. He figured he had nothing better to do espcially after their father disinherited them both for his new wife.
As a former Republic trooper, Dirak learned to love adventure and felt the War Wolves could offer more than military basics and guard duty.
Braxian "Ax" l'Arey had fought all his life, first on the streets of Pentris City on Gentes. When the planetary cataclysim destroyed the once lush and beautiful world, he learned to fight for survival for his family. After a couple of years, he decided to go off planet to find work for his family. He came across the War Wolves and since then has sent most of his earnings to his family.
Ashlen Giblis enlisted in the Corellian Defense Force and became an expert in desert survival. After serving a few years, he wanted a change of pace and came across the War Wolves.

Captain Nhil Tehrin. A former military strategist for the Republic, Nhil Tehrin was never given the transfer to a combat unit. He was an expert rifleman, hand-to-hand combatant, and proved to be a good leader. Unfortunately, a disagreement with a colonel kept him from any further promotions and transfers. One day, he decided to resign and joined the War Wolves.
Schro may be short but he is a giant on the battlefield.
Ro Pestin, Communications. Communications and expert slicer. Ro has been hacking into systems since she was 1- years old, starting with her father's computer.
Mer'akaree'istirnir is sister to Raeth. She expects no favortism and receives non. Akareei is an excellent sniper. She does not care for advancements. She has a job and she does it.

Hee Tair Dooin. Dooin is a joker and prankster. He once left micro explosives around Sgt. Schro's bunk. But his skills as a soldier have kept his fellow warriors from killing him.
Ggrihk Kohranish is everyone's friend. In a jam, call on Ggrihk. If you're in a bar fight, hope that he's there with you. Need a couple of credits, he's got you covered.
Jig'n Pol just wants to shoot at things. He doesn't mind killing but at least, give him a purpose.
Edinis Buwai, aka Eddy is a heavy drinker, gambler, and ladies man but in the trench he's sober and cunning.

Q'uixion "Q" Uyovee. Q is stoic and reserved. He does his job and fights with a fierceness unmatched on the battlefield. No one knows why he doesn't interact as much with the rest of the Wolves but they know he's dependable.
Ground Assault, Wolf and Cub. Neellan "Wolf" M'pez was fascinated with the wolfmounts of his homeworld of Zhazaq since he was young. The fabled Guards of Haunin with their tales of great deeds would keep him up at night. But all that was shattered when after achieving the rank of First Knight, he began to see corruption in the Guard and across his home system of Crixio. In a battle against some mercenaries, Wolf decided to desert the Guard and join the mercenaries, along with him, his second-in-command, Hen'rae "Claw" Davern. Strangely enough, they saw honor among not just one but several of the mercenaries. One in particular, their leader, as he witnessed the Chiss commander rescue some innocent children from crossfire. And the War Wolves were born.
Cub is the name of Wolf's mount.
Hen'rae "Claw" Davern. Claw was a Guard of Haunin with Wolf. During a well deserved rest period, Claw shared with Wolf his concerns about their commanding officer and other officers of the Guard. Having been raised from a family tradition of Guard enlistment, he had heard grumblings of family members about commanders and politicians. There was face put on to the general citizenship. Although it would put a strain on his family, he knew they would understand his reason for desertion. The opportunity arose upon the battlefield. Claw and his mount Pup joined Wolf and Cub in desertion and membership with a band of mercenaries led by a Chiss commander.
Nerish G'mar was the aide to a family that ran one of the biggest megacorporations on Coruscant. It was also a very corrupt megacorp. When mercenaries were hired to escort a company shuttle with G'mar aboard he had an intriguing conversation with a young lady representing the mercenaries. Impressed with her and other members of the mercenary unit, he offered his services to the War Wolves. Several weeks after completing the escort duty, General Raeth contacted G'mar and hired him.

Mudder, Quartermaster. Unlike most Xluhga, Mudder is a very social being. He just likes things a certain way. One of which is the ship's armory. When he first came on board, he complained about the condition of the armory and other parts of the ship. Raeth being a very tidy being to begin with, wanted an explanation. Mudder went on and on about the dust. The General allowed him his rants and the ship has never been so clean. Mudder's species sheds their skin once a month and the skin is stronger than standard leather. The War Wolves use it as part of their standard supplies.
Upon first glance, TW-74 looks like a typical protocol droid. Instead he is a versitile and valuable member of the bridge crew. He is navigator, co-pilot, chief gunner, and emergency med tech all rolled into one. Expensive modifications have more than once proven themselves. He also, tells great jokes.
Butro Drefdl, Ship's Pilot. Ugnaughts were once as tall as baseline humans but due to a planetary catastrophy, Ugnaughts went underground. Their average height began to shrink over the centuries. Drefdl loved to fly and as soon as he could leave the caves, the better. He had been a shuttle pilot for the government but it was low pay for little adventure. He learned to fly everything from fighters to large starships. With the War Wolves, there's enough adventure just being part of the Growler's bridge crew. Every now and then, he does fly a fighter for missions.
Monty Skott. As a bridge officer, Engineer Skott has no equal. He can pilot, navigate, and is an excellent strategist but he is most at his game when digging through the innards of Growler, the War Wolf's starship

Erushazn "Shaz" Nurox. Shaz is a rogue Jedi that like many Jedi of the time has a wife and children. When he returned from a mission infiltrating the Sith Empire, he found that his family was missing. After months of searching, he decided to leave the Order and dedicate his life to find his family. While in a cantina on Alderaan, he came across the War Wolves. After speaking to General Mer'aet'htorikstir, he decided to join the War Wolves to refocus and redirect his energies. Raeth told him that he had resources and contacts the Jedi Order would be impressed with. Shaz joined the crew as a hand to hand specialist and every now and then act as an advisor to Raeth and his command staff. There were times where they acted as his conscience.
Shuttle Pilot, Grom "Cruizer" Jaen has always been a laid back person and enjoys flying as much as any other pilot. Yet, as laid back as he was, he'd still scare the grax out of most of the Wolves.
Shuttle Pilot, Blez "Toonte" Hoto was board with the Tinta Starline company. Too many promotions were passed up and lack of training against pirates finally pushed him over. He figured if he had to deal with such problems, might as well join a group that could deal with pirates. His been with the Wolves ever since. He would share stories with his son who soon became a member of the shuttle staff for the Wolves.
Trin "Streak" Hoto, Shuttle Pilot. Streak is a pilot from a long line of pilots. His father was piloting for an starliner company and got board. When Blez joined the War Wolves, Trin couldn't wait to join him. His father told him he had to wait a couple of more years. His mother told him one year just to shut him up and get him out of the house.

Fighter Pilot, Thome "Maverick" Kriz couldn't just sit around and wait for wars to come to him. He needed to be there all the time and show off his flying skills. No family and few friends. That's the way he likes it. Unfortunately, the Wolves are becoming more family to him each day.
Fighter Pilot, Fil "Mynok" Nushe is a bit of the prankster among the flight crew. He has worked out some great pranks. He's even done some with Jig'n Pol. But get him behind the stick and he's more serious than anyone out in the black.
Fighter Pilot, Vred "Bantha" Baxtio leads the fighter squadron, Fang, for the War Wolves. He's become a great leader and respected among the Wolves as a true warrior. All but the general don't understand his reason for joining the Wolves but they just know that if they're on the ground and know that he's above them, they've got that much less to worry about.
A bit of drinker and gambler, Atohney Starq hit rock bottom hard. Upon meeting with Shaz, he was a scientist for a small university developing new alloys for combat armor. On a bet, while drunk, he dropped himself from his office window to the ground in experimental armor. He survived, the company kept the armor, and Starq was soon fired. The company's insurance didn't want to cover expenses anymore with Starq. Starq kept much of his work in the best place he could find, his head. The Wolves took him in and all their armor and ships have been upgraded since.

So for Christmas I decided to paint up some X-Wing pilots and give them to my brother, nephew, and future brother-in-law. We're all 49ers fans in my family (couple of exceptions; nephew is a Raiders fan and my wife used to cheer for the Cowboys). Regardless, I thought I'd do up some pilots in Niners colors. I even have a back story.
The mining colony Sa'Fran was a small outpost in the Mid-Rim. Like many at the time, they didn't care about the Republic, the Empire, or the Rebel Alliance. They just wanted to do some honest work away from politics. Whoever was in charge would pretty much do the same thing; tax the colony, pay for the minerals, and think them nothing but outback yokels. One day, the Empire decided it best to acquire all mineral rights and pay the colonists less than the value of the mines and mining facility. They said no and a small Imperial task force soon came to take possession. In preparation, a ragtag fleet of shuttles, old Z95's, even a couple of ARC-170's and one LAAT/i; ships that were worked on by hobbyists of classic space vehicles. The Imperial task force barely won. Of the 65 ships the colony was able to launch, 16 barely survived. They were forced to land their ships. Instead of being punished by the Imperial commander, he let them go with the rest of the colonists to be resettled on a new planet. When they made planetfall on their new "home", twelve of the pilots decided to leave for the Rebellion. Upon arrival at a Rebel base, they requested to stay together and form their own squadron. Reluctant to do so, the base commander did so only after finding out that one of the pilots was a former Corellian Fleet officer. The pilots named their squadron the 49ers in remembrance of their fellow pilots lost at the battle of Sa'Fran.

Their reaction was great. My nephew likes the idea of a TIE pilot in Raiders colors. Gives it that "Battle of the Bay" tie-in. As for the Steelers, I don't know about that throwback uniform but I could see something with the black jerseys. Of course, I would have to see about the rest of the NFL. Maybe different conferences/divisions, different pilots. Naboo, Clone, A-Wing, B-Wing, Cloud Car, Biker Scout, AT-AT. Hmmmm...

Well, here are some more Christmas customs. These are for the In-laws. Mom-in-law has a cow pattern since she has a lot of cow things that decorate their home. Dad-in-law just has a lightsaber because everything else was fine for his. Bro-in-law is a San Jose Sharks fan and so, I used their colors.

Hi All. Here is an Imperial Ship Yards way of an announcement:
My family is about to receive a new Force-user. Our second child is due in February! We don't know the gender, we're just hoping for healthy. Anyway, I thought I'd take a pic of Jedi customs I did of the family and added another bundle to it. You can see I traded our lightsabers for music instruments. We happen to be music teachers and our oldest is, like most toddlers, banging away on anything and everything. I'm sure as she matures and appreciates music, she'll come to a more sophisticated instrument, like the clarinet. Don't tell my percussionist wife I said this.

Okay, It's been a little bit since I've posted. Here are some WIP's and some CBDBSNSBIDKW's (Could Be Done But Still Needs Something But I Don't Know What).
First off are some Jedi that I think I want to group together. Perhaps using the idea of the training groups like the one Yoda is teaching as he speaks to Obi Wan in one of the prequels. I'm kinda thinkin of a group of friends from well before the Clone Wars. I've been doing a lot based on anywhere from 1000 yrs BBY to 25,000 yrs BBY with those new Dawn of the Jedi books.

The next three are Jedi that I'm placing with others from about the time of Darth Malgus and Grand Jedi Master Satale Shan, 3,600 yrs BBY. I am also experimenting with different angles to pose and take pics of my customs.

This next one is another I'm considering for a Dawn of the Jedi custom. Notice he has a sword and not a lightsaber. For those of you that haven't been following this timeline, Jedi have been using specially made swords. Imagine the techniques in creating a lightsaber where it is partly ceremonial and spiritual. A similar process is used here. Again, another reference to feudal Japan.

Hi folks! Been awhile since my last post. I also, noticed that my rank has dropped over the last year. Wouldn't mind being a brigadier again. Anyway, I had posted this one before of a Jedi inspired from the "Dawn of the Jedi" story lines. I didn't have a background story at the time.
His name is Grig'onox Zha. Like many Twi'lek of his time period, Grigo searched for enlightenment through the force. He was one that was sent on many violent and dangerous missions not because of his skills as a warrior but due to his calm and smooth demeanor.
Jhoree was a Weequay Jedi Master that taught at the Temple of Martial Arts, Stav Kesh. His was the art of the "Two Swords". Although a hard master, he was fair and well respected by the Jed'aii community.

Here's something I've been wanting to do. I've been an admirer of samurai stuff forever. I did get the GI Joe Budo a little while ago and as much as I think the figure is cool, it seems lacking in detail. It's just plain red plastic on plain black body. So, I started to touch up a couple of things. You know how it is in such a thing. Never enough detail. Let me know what you think. First pic is the before look.

Hanzo, I agree that the detail in the sculpt was there but definitely lacking in color. There's actually going to be a little bit more painting. This'll be a WIP for a while as I decide color I want to use.

I never mentioned but I am a high school music teacher. This past year, I was fortunate to have hired an assistant director. Of course, with the infinite wisdom of the district and school, the position will be cut for next year. Anyway, for my assistant I created a custom for her. I tried to tie into Dr. Who, with which she is a HUGE fan of but instead, I went with something else she is very much into - Tai Chi. You know, that slow version of martial arts-meditation stuff. And so, here I have a martial arts figure holding a conductor's baton.
Mira Striker was an ordinary girl who took it upon herself to strike fear into those with bad attitudes. She would "direct" them into the light with her light-baton using a form of martial arts called Tai Chi-ductor.

My wife is a middle school music teacher. She just finished up a concert yesterday matter of fact. Sounds like your district is similar to ours in their brilliance about endowing the arts. I just shake my head when I read things like that.

So, I finally did that Raiders/TIE pilot for my nephew.
Lt. Nath was one of the hottest hands on board the star destroyer, Castle Fire. Upon arrival at Sa'Fran Nathan was already in his TIE ready for launch. He single handedly took out the most ships. Members of the colony's ragtag fleet caught his Imperial ID# and made him a personal enemy of the colony's survivors. And so began the blood feud between the 49ers and the Raiders.

In preparation, a ragtag fleet of shuttles, old Z95's, even a couple of ARC-170's and one LAAT/i; ships that were worked on by hobbyists of classic space vehicles. The Imperial task force barely won. Of the 65 ships the colony was able to launch, 16 barely survived. They were forced to land their ships. Instead of being punished by the Imperial commander, he let them go with the rest of the colonists to be resettled on a new planet. When they made planetfall on their new "home", twelve of the pilots decided to leave for the Rebellion. Upon arrival at a Rebel base, they requested to stay together and form their own squadron. Reluctant to do so, the base commander did so only after finding out that one of the pilots was a former Corellian Fleet officer. The pilots named their squadron the 49ers in remembrance of their fellow pilots lost at the battle of Sa'Fran.

So, I finally did that Raiders/TIE pilot for my nephew.

As a huge NFL fan I approve of this feud.... though the Raiders may be going back to LaSan' Geles. hehe

LaSan'Geles!!! Love it. Not the move idea but the name. Maybe I'll do a set of customs from different "planets"; Dal'Es, Mi'Ami, Ne'Orlins, etc.

Yes, perhaps that can be a contest. Favorite sports team as a squad, squadron, platoon, etc. Use team colors and create a set of their classic rivalry. NFL, NBA, college teams, semi-pro, minor league, whatever….hmm.

Merry Christmas, Happy New Year, Happy Chanukkah, Happy Kwanza, and just plain be Happy. Anyway, in that last post of WIP's, I didn't include a very important new batch of actual completed customs. I introduce to you the Republic Rangers. These are customs I started a few months ago. They are from the same time period as my War Wolves circa 3472 before the battle of Yavin (page 29 on my thread here). Here's the first of them.
The era is some few thousand years before the Battle of Yavin. It is about the time of the Cold War. Tensions with the Sith Empire are high and faith in the Republic is at an all time low. The Republic depends on such military units as the Republic Rangers. They are not the armor wearing big guns that is more abundant in the military but an elite force of specialists that use special weapons and tactics.
Commander Niev'Kasel leads this group of soldiers. He is known to be hard but his compassion for his troops and the cause they fight for is apparent. The Republic Rangers was his idea. "There are times when going in with subtlety and stealth is preferred than guns blazing as a walking tank. Don't get me wrong, I started out as an armored soldier but there were those times I could have snuck up behind the enemy and won the day in a short time". The Rangers train in hand to hand, pilot ground and airborne/spacial vehicles, and all types of hand and heavy artillery weapons. Other training includes languages, history, and protocol. They are the best that no one knows about and that's the way he likes it.

I've been wanting to add pics of a special set of customs with lots of angles and in a dio or two or three, even. Alas, that is not the case. I'll try and get some in next month…in my free time. I didn't get the camera out in time but the 3 year old daughter was, at first, not sharing with the 1 year old son some of my old SW action figures. Then with a little coaxing, she did. As she stood Luke up, the younger one started to do the same with a Stormtrooper. Good times.

Well, it's been awhile. Kids, work, you know, the usual, has kept me from posting but I've been able to continue with some custom building. Here is a continuation of what I started a few months back with Commander Niev'Kasel, the Republic Rangers.
Like many other Xlugha, Sgt. Buughar, is a bit introverted and keeps to himself. But as a soldier, he is dedicated to his unit. He was one of the first that Cmdr. Niev'Kasel recruited for the Republic Rangers, a special forces unit that keeps to the shadows and receives almost no notoriety for its services. Many in the military had great skepticism for him and his species as soldiers due to their body type but Buughar proved his worth. He is one of the few that Niev'Kasel will listen to, if he listens to anyone. When soldiers are whipped into things, they mean that literally with Buughar as he will whip his soldiers with his tail when he feels they need it.

I appreciate that you find him strange. And doubly appreciate that you appreciate him. I've been trying to get away from just human characters. I've been digging up in my fodder bin and buying some of the older action figures from the years ago to use the heads for more variety. This one was from a character from Men in Black III, I think. I used the body but the head inspired me to put antennae on Biggs Darklighter.

Lt. Abrudeghavi'jattenevigda "Ajay" Ghevirethreh was showing great strides in special ops training until an accident during maneuvers cost him his arms. He did not want a discharge and neither did Cmdr. Niev'Kasel. So, Lt. Ghevirethreh underwent an experimental cyborg program. His reflexes were heightened along with his strength level. At first, Ajay resented the arms but now he appreciates having them as he continues to serve the Republic and his friends.

Lt. Faleco Rehj has served the Republic right after his age of ascension. During a mission with his battle squad in the asteroid field of the Commenor System, he was taken notice by a Cmdr. Niev'Kasel. His and other squads were tasked with searching the asteroid belt for terrorists that had been threatening Commenor and it's neighboring systems. There was a special ops unit, the Republic Rangers, that were involved with the operation and it was his squad that supplied support for 3 operatives. During a cave-in, the then Pvt. Rehj, saved them all thru digging and finding a way out since all the others were pinned down. He also captured several terrorists single handedly at the same time.

Cpl. g'Rhea Kishke, growing up on an agi colony in the Expansion Region was all set to continue in the family business after college and hadn't thought the military as a possibility. Then she met Breenai, a Lt. in the Republic Army. She talked about adventures, traveiling, and the people she met all over the galaxy. g'Rhea was enthralled. Breenai got her to apply at the planetary recruiting office. She had hoped to get through basic training and request assignment with Breenai's company. Unfortunately, her friend was killed in an ambush against Imperial forces. g'Rhea pushed herself through basic and after her first year was reassigned to the Republic Rangers.

Along with many Iktotchi after their worlds discovery and acceptance into the Republic, Niishier Gaktai was ready to explore the galaxy. He enlisted into the Republic Army. His instructors were highly impressed and pushed to see what this new breed can do. His training was taken notice by Lt. Ghvirethreh and after training was assigned to the Rangers. At first many, Rangers and other military, thought this too early but no one has questioned it after his first couple of missions.

Cpl. Hallri Pattriil is just another soldier doing his duty but many don't see the compassion he has for the victims he sees throughout the galaxy. It eats at him and makes him feel that he has not done enough to ease their suffering. He fights and fights but it's not enough. Finally, Buughar took him on their next leave to various sites where they fought and stayed with some of the people. All but one site showed significant changes. The one site eats at him and he has donated half his pay to the local assistance station. He's at better peace but is more determined to fight the enemies of the Republic, be they the Sith Empire, terrorists, or other warlords. Even the cost of his arm in a recen mission hasn't detered his goals. Other Rangers chide that if you can't follow his strength of character, beware his left hook.

The Sirak family has been a military family for centuries. Family tradition states that all enter the academy. For many, commission into the military is next. For a few, enlistment into a non-commission officer appointment. For an even fewer, straight into enlistment. These family members have been some of the more notable Sirak members. Darrihk wants to be one of those that stand out in his family. The youngest of 5 children, the older four are lieutenants or higher, Darrihk knew that it would be a hard journey but when he was appointed to the Rangers, he knew that it was going to be worth it.

Little is known about Spc. Biinaes Vic other than he lost both his parents to an industrial accident in Sith space when he was a child. An uncle, the navigator on a freighter, was able to smuggle him and his younger sister into Republic space. He placed both children with a friend where they were able to grow up in a less fanatic environment. Biinaes wanted to help people like his parents and do what he can to defend and expand the Republic.

Jedi Knight Kira'lan Obossa was assigned as a liason to the special forces, specifically the Republic Rangers. His assisgnment became more of assisting rather than delivering information to the appropriate authorities. In this, he found as much a calling to the Force as another mission the Council deemed neccessary. He may question certain actions taken by the Rangers but they are few and the end results have mattered more.

It is 25,000 years before the battle of yavin and many Je'daii have gone beyond the Tython System for enlightenment, adventure, aid to others, or whatever the Force guides them to.
Jettunhil "Jet" Broktor was a Je'daii Ranger about 25,000 years before the Battle of Yavin. He, like many of the ancient Force-sensatives of the era used both a Force-imbused sword and a lightsaber. Je'daii Rangers were trained and skilled through nine temples of the Je'daii - Arts, Balance, Force Skills, Forge, Healing, Knowledge, Martial Arts, and Science. Jet's strengths were in Arts and Martial Arts. After most of his Martial Arts training sessions, he would use painting as a way to mediatate and relax. His first mission outside of the Tython system brought him to a world where he introduced samples of art produced on Tython. This helped him in the trade negotiations he was to initiate. The samples were well received and trade negotiation proceeded to where all profited.

Chagrians were not part of the original groups transported to Tython but a small contingent crash landed on one of the outlier planets in the system, Nox. The ship and it's crew were traveling for decades as a research and exploratory team. They were looking for other habital planets and other intelligent species. Two survivors were found to be Force-sensestive but were much to old for training. Their son was only months old. After the survivors were treated, homes were erected for them since their ship was nonsalvageable, the parents and child were asked if they wanted to join other Force-sensitves. They agreed. The parents recieved some training and allowed to study the archives while their son received complete training. Brin Ghunak showed great promise and made his parents proud.

I'm glad you've enjoyed them. Thanks for the praise. g'Rhea's head was from a cheesy-cheap toy that I took the head from. I do have another one in my parts bin. I found them at Dollar Tree for $1, of course. Haven't seen any since, though. Sorry.

A master of Stav Kesh, the Temple of Martial Arts, Tor Nisan believed that everything was coming to an end on Tython. Something in the distant future. He did not dwell on it in a panic but he did stress on the other masters of Stav Kesh and the other Temples the importance of the training they gave their padawans. He became one of the best teachers of not only martial arts but of the entire Je'daii Order. He would meditate and share his visions with his fellow masters. He and they never saw the end of the Je'daii order but they helped to ensure the order lived on millennia after their deaths…until the Dark times.

Master Tran G'vesk was a master of Qigong Kesh, the Temple of Force Skills. He was of the old ways and although he became a master of the Protosaber, he still mastered the Force-imbued sword. He would pass on to Padawans the importance of not just the use of a Force-imbued sword but the history of the Je'daii order.
Je'daii Ranger Seshi Digah was an apt student of the Je'daii order. He just received his elevation to Ranger when Master Tran G'vesk gave Seshi Digah his first mission. Thanks to his training under G'vesk and Nisan, Digah became one of the must successful Ranger in the Order.

Me too. I am a teacher and I spent a part of each class period sharing the May the 4th Graphic and talking about the new SW Movie. Most of my kids seem excited for the new movie.
Oh I work. It happens that I'm a music teacher. We are playing the theme from Star Wars for part of our concert and it happens that we started with it this morning.
That sounds great! Our band teacher has the kids play Imperial March for me for most school concerts too. I don't just revel in it, I wallow around a bit.

It's cool to be the director in this regard. I've programed the Star Wars end credits at the end of our End of the Year Concerts probably 4 times over the last 8 years. The first time, I pulled out my lightsaber and used it to conduct (sort of). My arm was sore for quite a bit.

I don't have quite a backstory or even a name at this point but, this one is a remnant of the Clone Wars. A survivor, in fact.

Thanks for the FP. This is one of my favorite quick throw together customs. One of those where I looked at my fodder and said, "what can I put together?".

CT-1127/555, also known as Slick, was TIV pilot during the Clone Wars. He was from the same batch as Sicko, the same pilot that flew for the Republic Commando unit - Omega Squad (for those of you that haven't read Republic Commando, they are some of the main characters). Slick and his batch took Sicko's loss pretty badly. His especially because of the credit given to the civilian pilot that killed Sicko when the civilian thought there were pirates boarding his ship and not Republic Commandos.
Slick continued through the War without a scratch but saw buddy after buddy get killed. Finally, he just gave up when the Chancellor declared himself Emperor. A rumor reached him about some other Clones that had a way out for deserters. Not only could they get out of the Grand Army but they could also receive a cure to counter the age acceleration all clones had to face.
Months later, A Mandalorian is seen in a cantina on Dantooine with a helmet that is reminiscent of Clone Trooper Pilots. Sleeko Renfrea is his name and when asked about his helmet, he would tell folks that there is so much surplus out there that the Imperial military was just giving away Clone War era goods. Suffice it to say, he was also selling his services as a pilot. Go figure.

Here's is one of the most simple, yet affective customs I've done.
Palpatine never became chancellor, never emperor, and never a Sith Lord. He was found by accident by a knight and her padawan as they were assigned to a mission to Naboo. There they met with some of the noble houses. As they were introduced to the Palpatine family, they felt the Force emanating from their new baby. The request was made that the child be taken to Coruscant to begin Jedi training. House Palpatine was hesitant but in the end, they let him go and Palpatine would become not the bringer of the end of the Jedi Order but a forward thinker that would bring some reform to the Order. He dies at the age of 115 and during his time on the Jedi Council and for decades to come, there was peace throughout the galaxy. No wars, just minor conflicts that were resolved with help from the Jedi and the sense of cooperation the Jedi brought to the galaxy.
This is just a simple head swap.

Happy Halloween folks. Been awhile but here's one I've had on the shelf for a some time and finally got time to post.
Sacochi Lama was a Duros bounty hunter from around 3475 years before the Battle of Yavin. He was ruthless, meticulous, precise, and always got his bounty. Not one to take mercy on his bounties, he once did allow a family to escape to Commenor in the Corellian system. He and they thought they could get lost in the more populace sections. He kept thinking about the two boys and how they might turn out if he took in their father. The father, a Duros merchant that supposedly cheated a client out of some Alderaanian ghost truffles ($1000 credits an ounce), swore that he was robbed by pirates. Lama believed him, let him and his family go, and went to hunt the pirates. Turned out he knew the pirates and while hunting for the merchant family, heard the story in a cantina. The pirate gang were bragging about their recent haul of some expensive Alderaanian food stuffs. Lama tracked down the pirates, managed to salvage most of the ghost truffles and other foods, cleared the father's name, and gave the family a few extra credits to restart their business. The family convinced Lama to become a silent partner. He agreed but took the occasional food supply as his cut. He watched the boys grow up to become respectable heirs to the family business.

I'm on this bounty hunter trip. Actually, the previous custom and the following ones were done months ago. Just been real busy. Anyway, I've got all of these and others I'm going to try to post over the next few days. Here goes....
Zacha Thur’dnriis was a bounty hunter from around 3475 years before the Battle of Yavin. He was in the Republic Army and received an honorable discharge after serving several tours with the Republic Scouts in the outskirts of the Inner Rim. After his discharge, he found employment with an old buddy from his youth, Terc Brag, another former Republic Scout. Brag began his own bounty hunter business, employing former Republic Scouts. The skills they developed as RS were similarly used in bounty hunting and after Brag worked a few deals with RS buddies, they began to get a reputation along the Inner Rim. Thur’dnriis didn’t have too many commitments and the family farm wasn’t fulfilling. He did keep in touch with his mother.

Although from a passive society, Than A’sic was a bounty hunter around 3475 year before the Battle of Yavin. He was a skilled swordsman. Swordsmanship was an art form for him. Being a close quarter weapon, A’sic did not use it often when hunting bounties. He did implement them when his bounties seemed like formidable combatants. Yet, he did find that some would surrender more easily by the site of them possibly since there were not many sword wielders. The closest were Jedi training swords. Back in the Republic Scouts, A’sic often found training in close quarter fighting techniques, either hand-to-hand or hand weapons as a way to relieve stress. This led to studying swordplay and becoming one of the top hand-to-hand combat specialist in the military. Before mustering out, A’sic was approached by Terc Brag and asked if he would be interested in working for him, not just as a bounty hunter but as a trainer. He accepted and became one of the most skilled swordsman that was not a Force-sensitive.

Iktotchi were great bounty hunters, especially Yon Kuthor, due to their precognitive senses. Kuthor was one of the first Iktotchi to enter the Republic Army after their planet’s discovery and acceptance into the Republic. He was an exemplary soldier with the Republic Scouts. He achieved the rank of captain before retiring. At first he was tired of fighting and wanted to return to a more stable life back in the Iktotch System. After about a year, he became irritable and easily angered. His wife told him he still had the adventurer in him. It was at this time that an old RS friend contacted him. Before he even discussed it with his wife, she gave him his duffle bag, kissed him, and told him to come back safe and sound. Apparently, she was eavesdropping on his conversation with Terc Brag. He came back many times during his work with Brag’s Corps, mainly as a bounty hunter and occasionally commanding a unit of the mercenary army. 5 years later, he came home and retired from Brag’s Corps. He spent the rest of his days indulging his wife, children, grandchildren, and his one great grandchild.

Terc Brag would say he’s more of a businessman than a bounty hunter. Although, he did start out as a bounty hunter, his business acumen and military connections made him a very efficient hunter and as his reputation built up, he found that he had to contract out some of his jobs. This led to building up a roster of bounty hunters he knew he could trust. As some of his buddies were mustering out of the Republic Army, he started to recruit them. They needed work, had the discipline, and many got bored with the lives they were leading after the army. Some of them would take on mercenary work and consequently, Brag began to branch out into other work outside of bounties. This included, a mercenary army, armored escort, private investigation, and even firework displays. And thus, Brag Corporation (Brag’s Corps. for short) was born.

Thanks. I love using Joe parts. They lend themselves well to the SW Universe. What I like about finding some older figures is that they're cheap and you can chop them up for great fodder. Be on the look out for more. I'm kind of posting them in categories. Next should be some Jedi. A couple twists you wouldn't have expected.

So, again just finally getting to post some customs I did a while ago. Here's one that after I put him together, I reminded me of Tommy Lee Jones in MIB. Got a couple of ideas for if I do a Will Smith but that'll be done the road.
Kae Vis was a Jedi from about 3475 years before the Battle of Yavin. He was a strict but fair Master that had helped trained many padawans achieve Knighthood. It was in a battle against a Sith Lord that blinded him years ago. Vis was defeated by the Sith Lord and it was only by the aide of his then Padawan, Wyl Sm’th, he even survived. They escaped but not before leaving the Sith Lord stranded. Later, he chose not to have implants. He felt artificial eyes were a hindrance to the Force. His other senses were more than enough.

Few Jedi begin their training at a late age. Tiklin was in his early 30’s by human standards when he began his training. The Jedi Master, Hidmir, came across Tiklin during a Mon Calamari/Quarren dispute on their home world of Dac around 3475 years before the Battle of Yavin. Interesting enough, Hidmir was a Mon Calamari. Hidmir was part of a group of Jedi negotiators, all Mon Calamari and Quarren. Tiklin was a very calm and persuasive speaker for the Quarren. Hidmir sensed the strength in the Force Tiklin exuded and consulted his fellow Jedi about recruiting him. Most disagreed but one in particular mentioned that Tiklin already exhibited some attributes of a Jedi – strength of character, negotiation, and focus to name a few. Tiklin was intrigued by the offer but only required that he be allowed to finish his work in the dispute. Tiklin became a great Jedi, known for his negotiation skills.

Hey Folks. Been a couple of months but alas, such is life. Anyway, here are a couple of customs that were really fun to do. They were inspired by a couple of buddies. One had mentioned how much he really dug steampunk and the other said he was a huge Greenlantern fan. So, I give you Steampunk Boba Fett. I used an upper body Crimson Guard, Destro lower legs, IG-88 for a jet pack. Wanting to go a little more left field of typical Boba Fett varients, I decided to go with Animated Boba Fett. This gave me a small but huge problem with weaponry. I really wanted to use the tuning fork looking rifle he has in the cartoon but still wanted to make it very steampunk. I used the rifle that comes with many of the Fett action figures and a grapple that I believe came with many of the clone commander figures. When I took off the cord, it fit perfectly onto Fett's rifle. A jawa rifle and clone rifle painted a certain way fit into the genre. The GL Jedi is a repainted Thor figure. One of the Warriors Three. The Asian-looking one, I believe. The light-ax comes from an Avengers figure with a little paint. Enjoy.

Here's another pic of Steampunk Boba Fett. Since it was a gift for a friend, I decided to make the head look like my friend. So too, the GL Jedi for my other friend.
The GL Jedi's name is Haa'll Joritz. Stoic and logical but not without compassion and a mean right swing of his light-ax.
Ha'll Joritz was one of a very few Jedi that explored other shapes with lightsaber technology. An ax head became possible when manipulating the spectral manipulation actuator (totally just made that up). The swing of his light-ax could be seen at the crest above many battles. Hard and logical, Joritz was a critical but fair Master.

The GL figure is just plain fun. The steampunk Boba - now that rocks! I think the construction of the "harmonic gun" is inspired. It looks really great. The Crimson Guard torso really works well for the steampunk style - kudos!

Yes, you read it. No typo here. A friend of mine has been wanting to do something in carbonite for a long time. My clarinet was the catalyst for him. He took my POS clarinet from when I started in 6th grade and turned it into a POA (Piece Of Art). It was a no brainer - let this clarinet sit and collect dust or have a second life as an iconic part of my SW collection. I showed it off to my students (yes, I teach music) and they thought it was cool. It is and if anyone is interested in "carbonizing" something, let me know and I will connect you with my friend. Hi folks. Been awhile. Busy, Busy, Busy. You all understand. Anyway, it's been months since I posted anything. I have a ton but I'll just post them one at a time.
Grrrighrr B'rrrhhn was a Jedi of the New Order before Luke Skywalker's self imposed exile (reference to SW timeline prior to Disney purchase and instituting "Legends"). Groggy to his friends, he was a Neimoidian that found his way to the Jedi Order by way of a bad business deal. When he was a child, Groggy was forcibly sold by his parents when their business went under. The disenchanted investor sent henchmen to receive payment. The men threatened to kill their other children if they didn't give them Groggy. To compensate a "fair deal", the investor gave them 50 credits. As he was being whisked away screaming and flailing about, a Jedi happened to be walking the street in front of their apartment building. The Jedi came to the rescue. Sensing Groggy's potential in the Force, he went back to the parents and explained Groggy's options. The parents told them about the investor. The Jedi found the investor and said, "I don't come back with a New Republic commando squad. Oh and here's 10 credits, keep the change". Turns out the Jedi happened to be permanently posted to the local New Republic station 5 kilometers away. Groggy was sent to the Temple on Coruscant and became a Knight years later, just before the Yuuzhan Vong invasion.

Space is limitless. It is wondrous, it is fearful, it is insane, it is calm, and much more. Frilik Brach has traveled the spaceways as a Jedi Scout whose mission is to explore those uncharted sections of the Unknown Regions. He was part of a three-man team of Jedi explorers. During a routine diagnostic check on a planetoid, they were attacked by a giant space slug. One of the other Jedi was eaten immediately. The second died of her injuries 2 weeks later. She convinced Brach to continue further into the Unknown Regions. They had been friends and she challenged him to not quit until he found a suitable, undeclared planet to name after her and their lost companion. That was 12 years ago and he is still searching and discovering and in constant awe with the universe.

Hin Nisan was already training in Graqirin martial arts when it was discoverd as Force sensitive 3475 years before the battle of Yavin. His initial training was just shifting gears to adhere to the Jedi tenets. Nisan was always on guard. Not because of issues with the Jedi but he kept having simple flashes of memories that he swore, never happened. Although Graqirin martial arts taught him how to focus at an early age, He could not shake this feeling that imminent danger was always there.

Thanks! I use Citadel paints. Yeah oranges and yellows don't seem to adhere real well. There's something I've been experimenting with on smooth surfaces. I'll take some Goof Off to rough up surfaces. I think it's working.

Ka'an Chi'lee was a Knight of the Old Republic about 3574 years before the Battle of Yavin. He was frustrated by the many conflicts along the borders of Republic and Sith space. There seemed to also be small wars popping up in sectors of Republic space. All thru his years as a youngling, then Padawan did he and many of his generation know nothing but years of skirmishes that would unleash evil throughout the known galaxy. He and other Knights were given the mission of helping stabilize a sector of space that was partially annexed by the Sith Empire. They were not to engage the enemy. Unfortunately, that was not the case. Chi'lee and 4 others were the sole survivors of the Jedi commando unit. There were 24 of them.

A little salute to the Olympics.
Along with Chi'lee, of the Jedi Commandos that did not survive was a Chagrian by the name of Hon'gree M'te. The council was hesitant to send M'te on this mission due to his "less than calm" approach to mediation. He once brought peace to a planet by having two warring factions select 4 warriors each. They were to compete in several games to decide a victor. The side with the most wins, won the war. After days of competition, one of the factions was declared the winner, but the warriors of the winning side would not accept their prize. They told their leaders they would forfeit their wins unless they agreed to peaceful and respectful integration of both factions. Weeks of debate on both sides finally came to an end. To celebrate the unification, an annual festival of games were held. Over the next several years, other tribes and factions joined the unified peoples. On the 10th anniversary of the Games, M'te was asked to be the Overlord (the official head judge). He accepted. Soon afterwards, he joined Chi'lee and 22 others to aid in the defense of the Trelay Sector. M'te was killed in their final battle with a Sith Lord.

Aurra Sing was once a padawan that thru tragedies and misfortune, became a successful bounty hunter. In this alternate history, she overcomes tragedy and continues on the path of the Jedi. Sing is able to establish herself as a distinguishable and respectable Jedi. This little twist of fate allows for other differences. The evil that grows with the mysterious Sith is thwarted by Sing and her friend Anakin Skywalker. They discover Palpatine's plans for Galaxy conquest and stop him before he implements Order 66. The Jedi survive and Peace (with the occasional despot) reigns over the galaxy.

Summer has begun and some time is finally available. As the wife and kids sleep, daddy can be a kid again.
So, pictured here is the only 6 inch custom I plan on doing. Too expensive but I had to do it. I took a Jango Fett figure, a Dwayne Johnson, aka The Rock, head, added a kama and some paint. I've since added a couple of other things but this figure is in my office at work, go figure (no pun intended). I'll sneak over and take a pic or two later.
Joszep Sno'kas was another soldier of Mandalore and did his duty for his clan and planet. Then came a Sith Lord that hired his clan to assault a mining company the Sith Lord claims to be trespassing. No questions asked. Sno'kas and the Kas Clan entered the system and landed on the various mining units in the Gar Nex asteroid belt in the Full Cra system. At first, Kas members began collecting any personnel they could find. As they coordinated their efforts and herded them together did they realize it was only children and elderly. It wasn't a mining company, it was a temporary orphanage and housing for the elderly. The planet Full Akgo was in a major planetary rehabilitation due to a war initiated by the Sith. Majority of Akgoans were rebuilding their planet. At this point Darth Dredgelok came to the Kas temporary HQ and demanded the detainees be vaped or expelled into space. Sno'Kas was in charge of the temporary detention center and said, "Over my dead body". Before Darth Dredgelok could kill him, blaster fire, a mini thermal detonator, and an ax all were used to kill the Dark Lord. Kas Clan vowed generations ago, that there were limits to what a soldier does in the field.

My Friends and Fellow Customizers! It has been too long. Again, just trying to keep up with the kids and all. Anyway, here is a custom that was fun to do.
Wyl Sm'th was a Padawan around 3475 before the Battle of Yavin. He was apprenticed to Kae Vis, Jedi Master. Sm'th was a bit of a maverick but Vis was always on him about his antics. Fortunately, they were few enough and Vis did laugh...at most of them. As Sm'th grew older and more in tune with the force, Vis was very pleased with the young man. The true test was the resurgence of the Sith Empire. Lord Vrok, was about to land the killing blow to Vis when Sm'th saved him. Although, Vis lost his eye sight, he refused artificial eyes. He trusted in the Force. Sm'th continued on with his training and thanks to Vis, achieved Knighthood on his first attempt and with high accolades from the Council. Yet, he still could not pull any pranks on Kae Vis.

Hello. Been some time since last posting but here goes:
Jav Rentilis was a lieutenant of the Senate Guard. He was posted on Reytha, an agri planet in the Expansion Region. Key outposts throughout the Republic were set up as stations for Senators to meet with other regional representatives without having to travel to Coruscant. Many Guard uniforms were tailored to the environments and/or tastes of the planet they were stationed. Everyone had the official "Blues" for top official use but "going native" uniform was day to day. Jav's uniform conformed to the more agri style and colors of Reytha. While stationed on Reytha, Jav Rentilis became more of a naturalist and found much of his off time exploring the wilderness. When Separatists came to take over the planet, Jav was on a hike with two other Guardsmen and three locals. Along with them, they had their hunting gear. After seeing the Separatists land, Jav and his friends quickly and quietly, captured individuals until they had the entire Separatist commando team. All the Guards were awarded promotions and the locals were granted land. Captain Rentilis continued his tour of duty on Reytha until the Galactic Empire declared itself. He and his men joined the Rebellion. "Can't see an Empire taking care of beauty like Reytha", he told his friends before leaving Reytha for the Alliance.

Dy'en Kotarlis was a Jedi of the Old Republic, circa 3470 years before the Battle of Yavin. He is on assignment patrolling the Corellian Sector for any Sith spies. The planet Talus, in particular, had recently been dealing with pirate raids on it's southern hemisphere. Many of the victims have no memory of the raids themselves but along with valuables, interesting artifacts were also missing. A Sith talisman, a Sith apprentice ritual blade, A Sith guardsman's helmet, and a Sith holocron were among the stolen items. Museum curators, university professors, and smugglers were among the victems. As Kotarlis investigates, he senses a darkness entering the Corellia Sector.

Now, this custom brings back good memories of KOTOR I & II! This is actually the first Zabrak Jedi I see in 1/18 scale. I really like the design of the costume, the color scheme, especially of the chest and back protector and his skin color! You painted him very well! What would the color of his blade be? And would you share the recipe?

Been awhile and here is something that's been on my shelf for some time.
Some Jedi around 3475 years before the Battle of Yavin, still trained with a sword. The lightsaber only came into use in more extreme situations. Others wished to hold onto tradition. Yet, others saw swords and swordsmanship as a lost art. Malrook “Mal” Grep’n was of the latter. Although he saw fit to have the latest technology and vehicles, he considered history and an understanding of the older Jedi ways to be important for the Order to move forward. Often times his training in swordplay and lightsaber use rarely saw combat, as he was more a scholar than warrior. His fighting abilities were never in question, as he helped win many battles. customjedi, frightening I don't think so. If Luke had in his mind a great warrior, someone tall with muscles and lots of weapons easily comes to mind. I had that green goblin sitting with other stuff waiting to be used and when this idea came, no problems because Great-Warrior-Yoda had to have the ears and green skin to tie into the original. And the Warrior would still be a part of the Jedi tradition. "For over a thousand generations, the Jedi Knights were the guardians of peace and justice in the Old Republic. Before the dark times, before the Empire." Luke was, like most of us, surprised that this little green guy could kick serious butt. No, not frightning, just something "from a certain point of view" when the idea came for this concept.

Nothing like getting figures for cheap knowing you will use them one way or another. In homage to my best friends in high school (class of '90 here), I was thinking of using some figures I had in storage for some time now. The idea just came to me a week ago.

It, again, has been a while since my last post. Here is a work in progress with one portion complete.
"The Modal Nodes!"
I couldn't see buying the set on Hasbro Pulse and so I just bought 7 Figrin D'an figures as they came up on sale on Amazon. I had some extra instruments from one of the old sets of Modal Nodes. I didn't like the drum instrument in the Hasbro Pulse set so I made a different one that looks more percussion like. I used a drone from the Dollar Tree line of toys, Final Faction, as well as a jet pack, and a bazooka type weapon from GI Joe. The mallets are from Thor's friend, Hogun the Grim. I'm currently working on Tech Mo'r's ommni box so that he has a seating position and a larger instrument than what came with the early Modal Nodes set. Enjoy!

Awesome! I didn't get the set either. If they had said from the get go all members would be in a pack I wouldn't have bought 4 of the figrin dans. Black series was a huge clusterf%$#@. You had to but one of one thing and 3 of another to get all the pieces.

I know! I like and don't like that you end up with extra instruments. I'm a high school music teacher and the thought of creating a marching band with stormtroopers (you've seen those t shirts) has come to mind. With the extra instruments I have, I am closer to doing that idea. I'm more into the whole Mandalorian thing now and so, maybe a Mandalorian marching band is in order. Or both or more. Imagine a parade of different bands. Mandalorian, Stormtrooper, Alliance, Gungan, Ewok, etc.

I love that drum! Great design. Those Final Faction accessory packs are great for customizing, I think.
I like the female WIP's, you could use them to form a women's mercenary team:) Really nice work.
