Announcing the Imperial Shipyards Custom Create a Wookielover1138 Contest.

If you watch the Kessel Run Review you know that Wookielover1138 is one of the coolest fangirls there is. So what could be more fitting than to make some awesome customs of her?
The only rule is that the work has to be an actual custom made action figure of Wookielover1138. (No digital representations please) After that she can appear as anything from the Star Wars Galaxy that your creativity can come up with.
To enter, please post 1-3 pics of your custom Wookielover1138 with the words "THIS IS MY ENTRY".
This contests is NOT limited to one entry per member.
All creations old and new are eligible.
This contest will last 37 days, starting today May 25th, and continuing until June 30th. Entries must be posted by 12:00pm EST on June 30th. At that time a voting thread will be set up and members will be able to vote on their favorite Wookielover1138 for a period of 1 week.
There will be a prize for the first place winner. In the event of a tie a tie-breaker thread will be created to choose a winner.
The prize will be your choice of 3 cards sets from the following 7.
1) Kessel Run Review - Set 1 (Autographed by Wookielover1138)
2) Imperial Shipyards - Set 1
3) Imperial Shipyards - Set 2
4) Imperial Shipyards - Set 3
5) Luke Sprywalker - Set 1 - Bounty Hunters
6) Luke Sprywalker - Set 1 - Cantina Patrons
7) Luke Sprywalker - Indiana Jones - Set 1

@Clonehead: I am opting out of this contest for a few reasons. I am behind on a custom I'm currently working on since there is never enough time in the day, I ordered parts to make a custom Jenn, but they are made to order and won't be in for a month, and the most important: I don't feel that it would be fair for me to enter this one. But I'm super-excited and can't wait to see everyones work :D

Have an idea for a custom that would be a lot of fun and I already have all the parts I would need. I just wonder if I have enough time to pull it off. I doubt anyone will be doing this too.

A thought: I know the real reward is making the custom, but perhaps you could offer a custom card to the winner? I don't know how you handle printing the cardsets, so it might not be feasible, but it would be cool if the winner could get a set of custom cards of their own work including their custom of Jenn. Could even do a set of cards of the top favorites from the contest?
Just some thoughts, it's a cool idea and your cards are awesome... just think it'd sweeten the pot a bit for the winner to get some cards of their own creations. :)

I wanted to offer something I could have ready to send out when the contest ended. But if this turns up a bounty of great customs I certainly will have to make a special set or sets of them. I did extend an offer, for what I think is a reasonably low cost, to produce custom sets for anyone who is interested. It can be found in my Trading Card Outpost thread under Graphic Artwork.

Well I do have one of my entries up and I am formulating some new variations on the figure! I've got an idea I hope no one else comes up with! This is a great idea! I think we're going to see some stiff competition and some amazing creations!

now of course I'm pondering how in the world I would even re-create your tatts at the 1:18th scale Jenn! I know I wouldn't be able to paint them at that scale... I wonder if printed water transfer decals would work?
Now I'm wishing I had time to work on this... it'd be a fun project to force me to get out those printable transfers out that I bought over 6 months ago....

this is my custom wookielover1138 figure, my camera messed up so i only have one picture, so without further delay here she is jedi jenn ;), i used secura legs, gijoe ROC cover girl head, an added ROC baronesses hair, i then cut the hands off of a ROTS luminara, and used the hands from a star trek figure

Last, but not least Colin's final submission is Wookielover1138 in her natural enviroment, bounty hunting gear ;D He made this custom by combining a Baroness head and gun, ROTS Holographic A'ayla Secura body and lightsaber hilt, TVC Zam Wessel gun, Han Solo holster, and a Prince of Persia Dastan double holster and daggers. He also re-painted the body and added one of my tattoos!

Well, small setback here...bare arms are not going to happen. :(
The flesh colored paint applications I'm using isn't holding up like my other paints in the joints...and seeing how this figure is going to be sent off to Eli when completed I cannot have it looking like that...time to rethink a bit, but I think you'll be getting full sleeves Jenn.

"THIS IS MY ENTRY".
Her name is Jennta Wooklove (aka WL1138) a rogue Sandtrooper out for revenge after her family and friends were killed by Tusken Raiders. The Tusken's she has killed she either cuts pieces of their robes to display as clothing as part of her armour or as a warning to other Tusken's that she is not scared to slay their kind.

botwt you must tell us the recipe and what paint you used. That flat black looks perfect.
Flat black...well it is pretty simple sort of...black paints tend to have different tints to them...some more blue and others lean toward grey. To get the best looking flat black I find is to use Ceramcoat Black then use Testors Dullcote to protect it and add an extra layer to help suppress any shine that is left (which really isn't much). Hope that helps! :D

oh my, new levels of coolness here today. Ron, your entry is stunning! Is that a Marion Ravenwood head with some sculpting? If so it looks so much more like Jenn than the Baroness head, good call! Then the idea for the tuscan clothing draped over her, even cooler. Amazing weathering and details my friend.
Botw, that anime style Jenn rocks man! Very well done and I love the joe parts you have meshed together with the CW parts. Very sleek and sultry, nice touch with the neck tattoo.

botwt you must tell us the recipe and what paint you used. That flat black looks perfect.
Flat black...well it is pretty simple sort of...black paints tend to have different tints to them...some more blue and others lean toward grey. To get the best looking flat black I find is to use Ceramcoat Black then use Testors Dullcote to protect it and add an extra layer to help suppress any shine that is left (which really isn't much). Hope that helps! :D

I loved Chad's Zombie Jenn and was mesmerized by first Ron's rogue sandtrooper Jenn and then Botw brought the theme to a whole new perspective with his animated version "love the tattoo!"
Not TND comes in with his great creation "welcome to the shipyards by the way"

TND great entry and a unique idea. Very well done, I am a big fan of the Rebels.
We have seen Jenn hanging out with Aurra Sing in her black bounty hunter outfit. There are a few tales about her time with Aurra but one not many know, as most were never seen or heard from again after seeing her. To join forces with Aurra Jenn had to train, fight, practice shooting and live with her until her skills matched Aurra's. At that point to show her loyalty and mark the moment she had achieved her goal, Aurra shaved Jenn's head leaving only a narrow strip on top. Durring her training she learned to make many gadgets and collected things to incorporate to make herself a better, quicker, more equipped bounty hunter. You may notice she has boot rockets and a knife hidden on the back, 2 custom blasters, custom sniper riffle with soft strap, wrist gauntlet she has improved herself, hand held scanner and communicator, detention cuffs and a hologram projector. If you know anything about this bad girl you know her pet, companion, guard beast Buudaah is never far behind and she does have a leash to keep him from getting too wild.
This is my entry.

These entries are incredible. The pressure is on. I'm breaking a sweat here. I just made my first custom in a long time this weekend after a few weeks of no customizing. I've been getting by on posting old projects, but now that I'm back at it, I have to figure out what to do. The competition is fierce in this one. I'll get started after I pick my jaw up from off the floor.

This is how I am turning Jenn into "Wookielover1338 in Carbonite" for the latest Imperial Shipyards contest.
I traced and then cut plastic pieces from a plastic Chinese food container and turned them into the top and side panels of the carbonite block. I used a Han Solo in Carbonite as a template to trace the panels out so they turned out the right size. I then fastened the panels together with tape and then bonded them together with Apoxie Sculpt. I cut a silhouette of Jenn into the top panel. As a template I used the custom Wookielover1138 action figure that I created from the body of a CW Padme in Adventure Gear with the head of a Marion Ravenwood. I laid the action figure in his desired pose and traced around the action figure with a marker. So I then placed the action figure in the center of the cut out in the top panel and fastened the action figure in place with the Apoxie Sculpt. I finished today's work with priming the top panel with some grey paint.
Next I have to do all the sculpting on the side panels, sand and smooth out the top with more Apoxie Sculpt and then do all the painting to finish it up.
This is a technique that could be used with any action figure.

This is my second entry. Presenting Wookielover1138 in Clone Armor. She features 2 swapable heads, a side arm, soft good straps on her backpack and for a limited time you can get the Butia capitata plant that inspired the camo she painted on her armor.
