Captain Lu-Shen-Kai, owner of the Hornet's Sting, was just trying to lead a normal life. Crewed on the Hornet's Sting as a young man and was able to purchase the ship when the previous owner retired and wanted the ship to go to someone that would take care of it. Towards the end of the Clone Wars, he came across a young man hidden in his hold. This man was the sole survivor of his clone trooper unit. Taking pity on Ty, Lu took him to some friends in the Outer Rim. There Ty was able to start on a new life. Upon the issuance of Order 66, Jedi survivors found Hornet's Sting berthed on Utod II. The crew urged the captain to reconsider helping the Jedi but Lu felt compelled to help as he remembered the Jedi that have helped him over the years. "Boys, I think we'll be taking detours on certain occasions", he told his crew.
-
Every ship needs a good pilot. Lavine Traveau was the pilot for the Hornet's Sting. He could think of doing nothing else but flying while growing up on Corellia. As the main pilot, Traveau often helped Bhur Falconcrest, ships engineer, in repairs and maintenance without question. Upon Lu-Shen-Kai's acceptance of various "passengers", Traveau was adamant about not helping the stowaways but he, too remembered the Jedi that helped the Hornet's Sting in their time of need. "I guess if we have to...", he told his captain.
-
Bhur Falconcrest was a modest man who enjoyed challenges and keeping a ship running is plenty challenge for anyone. Hornet's Sting, like any other hauler, has come across it's share of "out-of-the-ordinary" situations. But the biggest challenge he saw was the time the found a clone deserter in the cargo hold and soon after, the Jedi. "Life will be very interesting, now", he told himself upon reflection.
-
After years of fighting a personal war with bandits on his homeworld of Dressel, Xandar Ricci became frustrated with his worlds lack of a strong central government. He was finding revenge for the death of his family but found that there was nothing for him on Dressel any longer and left aboard Hornet's Sting. On board in the cargo hold was a clone deserter. Ricci witnessed the situation and asked to come along for the ride. "I need a little direction in my life."
-
Cool!
-
Chirka to his friends, Rrrwgrirchircca was onboard a Trandoshan slave ship berthed near Hornet's Sting. Captain Lu-Shen-Kai's conscience wouldn't allow the Trandoshans to leave with their "cargo." Along with some others, Chirka was free to return home. Chirka didn't take the opportunity but instead offered to crew on Hornet's Sting to repay Captain Lu-Shen-Kai. "My life is now to be in service of an honorable being. Few would hold anything else higher", Chirka told Captain Lu-Shen-Kai.

Nice work!

Here are some customs based on the Old Republic. Some time after Darth Revan. This is their background story:
Wen Nisan was an empathic and higly intelligent Jedi but was also impulsive and somewhat mischievous. She was a good leader and a skilled tactitian and her quick thinking earned her the respect of many Clar'stilyo warriors during the tuushan incident.
With a laid-back and accepting outlook on life, Sep Nisan took to his duties with enthusiasm, often sporting a wide smile when events went his way. His cynical dry sense of humor and confidence aided him in much of dealings.
-
Forgot one last part for the Nisan's:
Over the last few decades, the order has been in debate over the fraternization of it's members. Less and less jedi seek companionship as many find dedication to the force as a more acceptable means of finding peace. The Nisan are one of the last family of Jedi.
-
Very nice! Sep looks cool.
-
Some nice work there, Joe! I went ahead and merged your two customs threads into one so that they'd be easier to follow.
-
Thanks Phatty
-
Here are the Jedi that stowed away on the Hornet's Sting. Gerson Searan, Jin Kae Kovan, Jzorand, Ki-Ta-Nin.
-
Here are others that somehow came onto the path of the Hornet's Sting.
-
These customs are ones that have aided Captain Lu-Shen-Kai.
Yah'chi Corva maybe a Jedi hunter but he finds them only to lead them on to a secret escape route with the help of Captain Lu-Shen-Kai. Yah'chi Corva does this in hopes of finding a long lost brother that happens to be a Jedi. They were separated when they were only 5 and 10 years old.
Shan Krix, adventurer and occasional bounty hunter, was saved by a Jedi even as he was about to take that same Jedi in for the bounty. To repay the Jedi, Krix swore to help bring other Jedi to Captain Lu-Shen-Kai. He is accompanied by his faithful astromech, Droc (not a custom, yet but a cool sidekick for a bounty hunter to have).
-
Here are some other Jedi. Minor they may have been, some were even Agricorps but they are the Jedi Order's last hope for re-establishment.
Cas-Jo Nisan, was the lightsaber instructor for the AgriCorps Jedi stationed out of Fulton III. There was one squad of clone troopers. Nisan was told that they were for protecting the AgriCorps Jedi. Nisan sensed their intention as they approached the AC Station. He, two knights, and several padawan were able to escape before the troopers arrival.
Upon escaping from Fulton III, Papwi Kovan received Obi-Wan Kenobi's warning signal. She suggested that they change clothes and find a lightly populated planet to learn what news they can of the War. On Tatooine they learn of the Order 66 and the hunt for the rest of the Jedi and other Force-sensitives. She forms a plan to aid her fellow Jedi and escape the clutches of the New Order.
It is a large galaxy and other Sith exist. Darth Vyrus continues to hide from the Empire but pursues Jedi in hopes of turning some to the Dark Side. He believes the time is ripe for an emergence of a new Sith Empire before Palpatine's New Order can tighten it's reigns on the Galaxy.
-
Gen'me and Mad'san Uniton are sisters and were at the AgriCorps station on Fulton III when Nisan lead them to safety. Although less sensitive to the Force, they did all that they can to be Jedi. Their lesson with Nisan were their favorite as this was where they felt closest to the Force. Their eagerness to become Jedi is nullified abruptly by Order 66. They continue to learn the ways of the Force in the years to come in hopes of re-establishing the Jedi Order.
Kojin and Vri'k Gurker are Jedi Knights stationed on Fulton III. Kojin was rather arrogant for a Jedi as he thought it beneath him to help train younglings with little Force abilities. This was soon changed as it was youngling that saved him with their life while escaping Fulton III. Gurker is feels at peace at Fulton III. So much in tune with what he does with the AC Jedi, that along with his duties as a dispenser of knowledge, he too, tends the crops and livestock of the Republic. He even spent a time, albeit short, as vegetarian to "cleanse" his body. Kojin asks, "How's your veggies, Vri'k?" And in response he answers, "Not bad but I think it's time to go hunting for steak"
-
Zurin Gruken often did find himself in the most interesting situations. There was the border dispute between Grella and Sar'gu of Sar'ella VI. The pirate raids in the asteroid belts of the Arka system. And then the slave running outside of the Kircooine Hegemony. Of course, Order 66 tops it all and Gruken dumps his sabers and books passage on the Jewel of Sora and start his life as a gambler. Yet, the force still places him in interesting situations. Especially, when he enters his room and seated at a table is his former master. "I've got a proposition for you, my young padawan", said his old mentor. Gurken answers, "I was wondering what was taking you so long. The tables here aren't as generous. So, what have you got in mind?"

Kahshim Ionstorm was en route to the planet Artogne when Order 66 was issued. The ARC Trooper assigned to him did not receive the order until they came out of light speed. Upon receiving the order, ARC Trooper Ji turned to Ionstorm and told him to enter the escape pod. Ji launched the pod. As Ionstorm's pod shot away from the ship, He saw the transport explode. Unknown to him Ji launched the other pod and flew in the opposite direction. Upon landing he quickly rid himself of his outer robe and ruffled his clothes to look less Jedi. The village he came across had little knowledge of the War and Order 66. They still believed Velorum was Chancellor. A young boy showed him the armor of a long dead relative. It was Mandalorian. Soon an idea formed in his mind.
Lob'raven was attacked by an entire unit of his clone troopers. He was pained to cut them down. With his dying breath, Pvt. Vet asked him, "Why did you Jedi try to take control?" Confused, Lob'raven escaped in a transport. He received Obi-Wan Kenobi's message and searched for sanctuary. During meditation on the transport, Lob'raven could only see darkness in the future. Knowing the future to be in constant motion, he did not accept the darkness and decided to seek out other Jedi to rebuild the Order.

Sgt. Tar was ready to go to war with his brothers upon deployment. He was glad to be in service and to do what he was bred to do. But the war dragged on with no end in sight. One day while on patrol with his men, they came across a cache of weapons. Not blasters or rifles but swords and other blades. They recognized the markings as Mandalorian. At first they thought the local Separatists were hording them but the dust and webs around the weapons told otherwise. Upon returning to their base, the weapons were distributed amongst the patrol. The Jedi General knew what the weapons were but allowed the distribution. After a few days training with the swords, General Mazama renamed the unit Dragon's Teeth. This was based on a myth about soldiers grown from dragon's teeth and just as tough. A year later, Order 66 was issued. Instead, Sgt. Tar, tired with war, decided to join his general and escape. Not only him but all of Dragon's Teeth.
There was no end in sight and Gihaal came too many times to his death. All around him his brothers fought and died. With the Mandalorian swords, he at first , found a new test to his skills. But the war dragged on. Order 66 was given and Sgt. Tar approached him and the others of DT Squad. There was no question, they were loyal to their general and commander. "I guess we can be his personal body guards", said Gihaal.
"Someone's got to take care of your scratches and sniffly noses." Mirshe, as medic, was the first to volunteer to leave the GAR. When the squad found the swords, Mirshe took to sword fighting the quickest. If the squad were Dragon's teeth, he was the fangs.
-
Wow! Jedi,Jedi,Jedi,Jedi,Jedi,Jedi,CLONE! Lol
Good job on the jedi and the clone.
-
Thanks Irish Ninja.
-
Great custom Jedi. I was just think about a game we all have played at one time. It's called duck, duck, gosse. I just changed it Jedi,Jedi,Jedi,CLONE! then ya run away. LOL.... But still Great customs Man.
JW
-
"I like things that go boom!" A'den is always ready for a fight. But he loves his brothers and when they all decided to run from the GAR, he couldn't leave them. They told him there will still be things to blow up.
Gra'tua maybe another rifleman in the squad but since picking up a couple of blasters from a Sep, he's liked the idea having both hands with their own weapon. "I can almost double my kill ratio."
Sometimes in his bunk Runi hears voices in his head. They're the voices of some of th innocent that have been caught in the crossfire. At first he thought they were coming from around the corner. Instead they are ghosts that have come to haunt him. He loves to run communications to lose the voices.
-
JW, thanks and this time I'm going "Clone, clone, clone, Jedi". Or maybe "Jedi, Jedi, Jedi, Sith and you better duck!"
-
These customs look very polished, I love the dark photography as well!
-
Thanks. I haven't done as many clone as I have Jedi but I'm catching up.
-
nice customs especially the jedi
-
really nice customs! :)
-
"Time is of the essence and we got do things during our short time in the galaxy." Or'dinii used to say this in reference to fighting the Seps but now he just wants to live and do things non-clones do. He'll fight if that's what it takes. He'll hang up his favorite blaster rifle if that's what it takes, too.
A cool hand with any blaster but a deadlier hand with empty hands. Kot was as efficient a killer as any clone, if not more so. Yet, his resolve was in question when he realized that he killed unarmed children during a raid. His abilities did not waver but his conscience eats at him.
Honor and Loyalty have to come first. Now he has to question which must have his. The Republic, the GAR, or his Unit. It's all or none and his brothers are his family.
Iviin'cy has a loyalty to the Jedi but only those that he serves directly. "To the General" or "For the Commander". He still feels that way. They've saved him enough times to earn his respect and help in escaping Order 66.
-
Those look spectacular!
-
Thanks Koty and Phatty. These are my favorite custom clone troopers. The Jedi general and commander they are loyal to are the following.
Yowlen Mazama is not only of the Jedi Order but is Matukai. He utilizes both lightsaber and a wan-shen. He began as a youngling in the Order but later on, as a Knight, followed the teachings of the Matukai. He found a Matukai master who turned out to be his aunt through his mother. At the outbreak of the War, he came back to the Order. Soon he became the commanding office for the 417th Regiment which included the soon to become, Dragon's Teeth Squad. He was the one to train them in the art of swordsmanship. "I have never been so amazed by the intelligence and resourcefulness that these men have shown. And men are what they are. Individuals with heart, my young padawan" Mazama said to Cravix.
Tolina Cravix was sure about everything until she entered the war effort. Her master had just been killed and due to circumstances was given to an eccentric master with interesting philosophies. Another twist of fate was her command of the Dragon's Teeth Squad. And her infatuation with one of her subordinates...Iviin'yc. "I am confused, yet determined to see this all through with my men, master," Cravix said.
-
TEASER ALERT:
At the front of the war are men dedicated and loyal. Skilled and trained by some of the best warriors. They are the Separatist Commandos (Actual name to be used when I figure it out). These men have brought victory at many battles. Yet, there is one among them that maybe a spy. He shows no quarter to any enemy and yet...
-
I forgot to mention that these are just the beginning. I plan on painting and other stuff but that wont happen for some time as I am busy until the summer time. There maybe an occasional tid bit here and there, though. Any suggestions for a unit designation will be appreciated and considered.
-
hmmmm my interest is piqued.... ;)
-
Mighty fine work!! You've done well at making the clones into individuals.
-
Thanks Doc. Sorry but I almost went on about humanity and the individual. How those clones can become individuals and society can be full of copies and such. Oooo, I guess I did go a little bit about it. Hehe.
-
wow!!!!!!!!!!!! :o :o :o
-
Cool jedi,clones,and seppy commandos Minstrel!
-
excellent customs JM
I like the Clone concepts
-
Mighty fine work there!
-
cool man! ;D
-
Here's my rendition of Clan Skirata. Nothing too fancy. Just some part swaps, repaint on one, and there you go. I plan on doing a little more to repaint certain accessories, like belt pouches and such.
-
Kad. He still has work to be done. I think it was in the Legacy series that Boba Fett saw a Mando (Kad) walk into a cantina with a riot of colors on his armor. We'll see.
-
Well here's Etain and Darman, then Etain and Bardan.
-
They are all darn AWESOME!
-
awesome!
-
Graukaan, Bounty Hunter. Once a captain of the GAR, he took the offered honorable discharge from Imperial service and became a bounty hunter with a special license given for hunting Jedi in the name of the Empire.
-
That's a Hell of a compilation there! He looks pretty wicked!
-
Thanks Phatty. I have a few Jedi and Clone Deserter Hunters I want to post. I'll see what I can do this weekend.
-
Here's one of my favorite projects: the 54th Ranger Recon.
Sej Nisan is from a long line of Jedi. An uncanny leader as he can be strict, yet humorous. A bit of a practical joker, he still retains the respect of his men.
Captain Pic is as stern a soldier as any. Though bred for war, he has his conscience to follow. Whether it was somehow flashburned, learned, or influences by his commanding officer, he makes for a different kind of soldier. Especially, as Order 66 is given.
-
More of the 54th Ranger Recon.
"These men are hard men but there's another side. They care for each other. Battle droids don't care for each other. They have no sense of love. But these men...", Nisan once said to Kenobi.
-
Last of Red Strike Squad, 54th Ranger Recon.
"Tell me where to fire and I'll bring it down, sir", Lor tells Captain Pic. "Just leave some for the rest of the squad, Lor", Pic replies.
-
Another Ranger Recon Squad: The Razordogs.
Jysella Horn thought that these soldiers were going to be the death of her. "They're reckless, and even rude to me. Yet, they will die for me. Confusing master", Jysella tells Nisan.
-
"Are we going to do this, sir?", Spahk asks Kuhrk. "Orders are orders", Kuhrk replies. "Damn those orders!", exclaims Bones.
Discussion upon issuance of Order 66.
-
Thanks Koty.
-
awesome!
-
really nice man!
-
amazing customs, and awsome stories good enough to be comics!!!!
-
Good job man!!

Thanks very much Clonetrooper360. I wish I had the programs to do some.

In the days of the Old Republic before the Rule of Two, there were many Sith. The armies of the Sith plagued many star systems.
Darth Klaw leads his army to victory after victory. He sees more in his future but in his way is a presence. He believes it to be Jedi but there is a darkness that he feels he can reach within that entity.
To be a Sith Guard is as great an honor as can be in any Sith Legion. Their loyalty is unquestioned. Their strength and endurance is greater than all but their Sith Lords. Kart'u and Shain entered the Guard together and both wish to become apprentices themselves.
-
man i love your customs, the backstories are great and that bounty hunter, o man. along with those clone squads you are very skilled with a brush and glue!
-
cool!
-
man i love your customs, the backstories are great and that bounty hunter, o man. along with those clone squads you are very skilled with a brush and glue!
thanks man. Actually, I haven't used glue, yet. After seeing what a lot of the guys have done, I may have to try my hand at cutting and gluing things. Wait until summer, I'll have lots of time to do more.
-
Looks great to me. On the front page.
-
looks really nice!
-
thanks guys and thanks Tamer for the FP spot. I've been trying my hand at more painting. Actually, a ship model - my first! So far, I've cut my thumb (rather deeply), got spray paint all over because of a leaky spray head, and it's taking longer than I thought. It's a gift and all I'm going to be able to give on their birthday is the base for it that says "Titanic". Oh well, I see it as practice for more customs.
-
that stuff sounds like bad luck to me.
-
Here's an update on my Separatist Commando Unit (Still unnamed). They still have some painting and other mods needed.
Galus Brukl, Gand Findsman feels he actually has a purpose in life.
Nik Graekun, 18 year old human orphaned before the Clone Wars has bitter memories of the Republic. At 15, he and his parents set out on a family trip when their transport was attacked by pirates. Republic forces came to their aid at first but were held back by who had jurisdiction, the Republic or local authorities. At the same time his parents were killed by the pirates.
The Nikto, Vrook felt more a pacifist than his fellow Nikto. He went through Gutaja, a Nikto warrior group (similar to the Morgukai but less violent) training because of his families tradition. Until his family and Gutaja colony on Nertoro II was turned to ashes by unknown forces. Only a few survived.
-
nice custom
-
Ok. Weekend coming up and I've got some pics to send. Here's one. No back story, yet. It's one I had done awhile ago. thought I was done but then I saw what you guys have done. Gotta keep up with the Jones's.
-

very nice Clone custom JM
he looks a bit like a Clone Assassin with the sword
When I first worked on him, I just added the pauldron and sword. He's a bounty hunter named Crash, licensed by the Empire to hunt deserters. After getting onto the Yards, I wanted to do more paints on my customs. So, now Crash has a paint scheme of his own. I may try my hand at weathering and wear on the armor over the summer.
-
cool!!!
-
very very good JM
-
Nice JM
-
So, here's the next thing - weathering. How do you do it?
-
really like it man! ;D ;D

Here's another updated (pre-Yards) custom. His name is Blur and he's a bounty hunter that specializes in Clone Deserters.

As mentioned a while back, I was interested in creating a Separatist commando unit. These are some Wets that are mostly human from the planet Roma III. The first pics are of Blood Tiger Squad.
Trohan, silent hand-to-hand specialist.
Magnolus, explosives.
-
Ridios, heavy weapons.
Spartico, Lt. team leader.

Thanks Commander. I've got more to add. Here's Phantom Nova Squad.
Argulos, sniper.
Deciman, small arms.
Proxo, computer hacker.

Narcisso, Sgt.
Phantom Nova Squad

Macrino, Sgt.
Screaming Rancor Squad.
-
Maximo, Cmdr.
Sep Commandos before paint details.
Maximo holds a secret. His daughter is at a university on Corellia. Maximo has made a deal with a Republic contact. Get her out of the GAR and into neutral space. In exchange, he will release information. Later, he will disappear and join his daughter.
Spartico finds out about Maximo and his dealings with the GAR. His loyalty to the Cause and his commander has Spartico at a crossroads.
Macrino is a fanatic and very anti-Republic if only for the opportunity to bring destruction anywhere and everywhere.
Narcisso wishes to be loyal to Roma and the CIS but his upbringing and ideals are with the Republic.
-
oops. here's the sep commandos before their paint jobs.
-
those look very cool bro!!
-
Very Cool!!!
Great job on these guy's!!

-
Man, those are cool, JM! Reminds me of some human warriors from LOTR or something.
I saw someone do a similar cut with the helmet. But now that you mention it, it reminds me of the Riders of Rohan from LOTR. I was actually thinking of gladiators of ancient Rome.
-
Here's more to the Sep Commando unit.
Boarcat ground assault vehicle with pilots Ranxo and Nurimo.
More of the Boarcat at the "Custom Vehicle" forum.
-
cool man!
-
Very cool!! I have that vehicle too. Up to now I had turned it over to my 2 year old son . . . but now I am having second thoughts!!!!!!!!

Psaiko. An honorably discharged republic clone trooper. At the end of the clone wars, Psaiko decided to take his chances in the civilian world when the Empire offered discharges to troopers. Psaiko was able to keep his armor and immediately began modifications. His new civilian work - Bounty Hunter with a specialty in Jedi Search.

Thank you. My collection seems to be building up in the non-clone range of ideas. I'm doing what I can until I can buy some more phase I clone troopers. I have quite a few ideas for some customs but I'm out of figures. Ah well.

Here're the 49th again. CommanderCharlie thought they were the redskins and so I re-did the helmets and the side of their leg armor so that they were more reminiscent of the San Francisco 49ers. Better?
-
ok. here's the actual pic this time.
-
I don't know why but I'm so fascinated with the idea of a separatist commando group. maybe it's because at the end of the clone wars, they become a core group of rebel fighters. oops! did I let something out of the bag for more customs? hmmm. wait and see.
-
And some WIP...
-
ahhhhh , mate these are the monkeys dunkys ,,

Here's another Jedi of the Old Republic.
Jaqo-in Novaring is a about to receive his Mastery within the Order but before he does, he must confront a childhood friend, from his padawan days. Thought to be lost on a mission with his master, Novaring's friend was found wandering the streets of Coruscant, gambling and stealing to survive. Novaring encounters her and the recognition was instant.
-
They are Gaffi Squad. And in the waning days of the Clone Wars, they struggle through one battle after another. Their Jedi General and her Padawan were killed two days earlier when Order 66 was issued. Captain Razz looks at Sgt. Cal and Cpl. Grik and admits to them, "I don't know if I could have done it...".
-
Everyone must face their demons. Grulan Dak faces one with a red lightsaber, Darth Kra.
-
Cool!! I like the Joe crossovers. Good work.
-
Very nice! I love the SE body with the soft goods and Duke head. That is one great looking Jedi. I would suggest moding the night adder a bit more as it doesn't really look like a Sith but a NA with red robe holdin a saber. I think you could up the antie with him.
-
Really cool clones!
-
just discorvered your Fem Force... wow, especially the leading lady in the middle rocks... she IS cool!!
congratz

I saw blue and brown as a nice combo for other things. So, from left to right - A'den, Ordo, and Prudii. As soon as I get some more Jango Fett's, I'll have the rest of the Nulls done.
-
these guys are awesome!! wow, the red one is my fave.
-
prudii looks the nuts !!
-
Very nice work on all of these! I too really like the red one!
-
The RED ONE looks good . niec way to add the cobra weapons to him .
-
Oh yeah, on the front page. I think you did an outstanding job. Can't wait to see more.
-
WOW!!!
Those are some killer Mando's!!!
Love the color 's!!!

Ordo is my favorite
-
They are all cool I like the stripe on the green one! Nice work and cannot wait to see more!
-
Incredible mandos!
-
cool
-
thanks for all the comments folks!
-
I can't stop. I'm trying to wait for more Jango Fett for more Null ARCs/Mandos but instead I've created more out of some Boba Fett. I could say these are members of Omega Squad - Fi, Atin, or Corr? What do you all think? One style of armor for each set?
-
very cool! ;D
-
nice piece of work !
-
excellent customs JM
can't wait to see your complete Skirata Clan
-
Nice!! Those lads need some sort of display, for sure. Paint apps look good from here - very nice and clean.
-
So, this one is Kom'rk.
-

I think these two might not be either Nulls or Omega Squad. They'll probably be from Rav Bralor's squads. Perhaps Yayax Squad.
-
Dude, I love these guys. I would like to see all of them together when you're done. Nice paint apps. by the way.
-
AWESOME MANDOS BRO! KEEP EM COMING!
wish we had loads of clone supplies here.
-
really sweet man. :)
-
Here's my version of Fi Skirata. I may still work on the head to replicate the head injury.
-
cool. :)
-
great work on them very nice
-
The Clar'stilyo were warriors of the Old Republic founded a few millennia before the the Battle of Yavin. The order had few members even before the Clone Wars. Now the last remaining members will bring a new chapter to this ancient and honorable band of warriors. Oali Nisan is the son of two Clar'stilyo. He lost them as they were escorting a medical convoy that was attacked by pirates. Their heroism saved the convoy but left him an orphan. He grew up within the order and became a strong member, strong in spirit and strong in will. It was a chance encounter with Luke Skywalker that showed he was also strong in the Force. His Jedi training added to his Clar'stilyo training makes him very formidable. As a Knight during the Yuuzhan Vong invasions, he helped save thousands.
-
nice custom. :)
-
NICE!
-
Really cool custom man! ;D
-
Nice work and back story!
-
Here are some older customs with a new background.
Klayhn was content with archiving in the library at the new Jedi Temple. She was given an assignment of retrieving newly found Jedi documents from the days of the Old Republic. This was to be a routine trip to Obra Skai, when it was discovered that a Dark Jedi by the name of Deviyen was the one that contacted the Jedi Temple...
-
Great looking Mando's...
-
I posted this in an early post. Now he has a new paint job.
Ki-Ta-Nin stowed away with a small group of Jedi on a freighter, Hornet's Sting, and have made their way to the Outer Rim. He and his colleagues split up and went their separate ways. They maintained contacts over the years and were able to deceive the Empire. One by one they were caught and executed but Ki-Ta-Nin was able to continue until just before the Battle of Yavin. At the time Kenobi was convincing Solo to take him and the "Boy", Ki-Ta-Nin was on Alderaan, preparing a meeting with Bail Organa. He was going to offer his services as a Jedi Master and help re-establish the Order.
-
Azrath and Nisan are members of the newly instated Imperial Knights when the Fel family established the new Imperium.
-
WOW... most stunning customs :o :o wonderful outfits
-
amzzing customs man!
-
awesome. :)
-
to echo hfk awesome :)
-
No back story, yet. These guys are from about 50 years before Legacy, though.
-
Man, without lightsabers, that bunch makes a great group of spacer scum. What head is on that far-right gent?
-
Man, without lightsabers, that bunch makes a great group of spacer scum. What head is on that far-right gent?
Maybe spacer scum or just a bunch of pilots, Republic and private, that know each other. I was thinking the Ugnaught could be the co-pilot for the Human on the right. By the way, his head is a Kenobi where I sanded off some of the sides to create a goatee.
-
Here's Jaing Skirata. Notice the gray gloves? One more Null and I'll have all six in Mandalorian Armor!
-
great colors and paint job - I like this guy!
-
great jobs
-
Fantastic job! I told my son, Ad'galaar, you had posted Jaing and he came running. He scoped out the pics and the first thing he said was, "Dude, he got the gloves!!"
-
nice jaing , have you done kom'rk
-
Looks sweat!
-
This is a very nice version of Jaing in his Mando armor
I'm looking forward to see all six together
-
Fantastic job! I told my son, Ad'galaar, you had posted Jaing and he came running. He scoped out the pics and the first thing he said was, "Dude, he got the gloves!!"
I tried to find any reference to armor color but no matter what I did, I wanted to put the gray gloves. I did make one mistake on Fi. I read a post on another site where someone posted that Ghez Hokan's was gray with red trim. I'm in the middle of re-reading Republic Commando: Triple Zero and just got past the part where it says it's supposed to be red with gray trim. Oh well, I think it looks cool. What do you think?
-
looks cool no matter what
-
So, this one is Kom'rk.
what brand is that turquoise looking paint
-
I think it looks fantastic! When I made my Clan Skirata, the one thing I did not do was really accentuate the armor with small markings like you have. They look great, you're doing the Nulls proud!
And before I forget...FRONT PAGE, SON!
-
So, this one is Kom'rk.
what brand is that turquoise looking paint
I use Model Masters Acryl, made by Testors.
-
Awesome figures and hey what can you do when you have no reference pics to go by!! Wish I could find enough Jangos to do something similiar.
-
damn thats good
-
Very nice work! I like both versions.
-
I think they both look great. I especially like the individualized markings on their armor. Very nice touches.
I have ammassed the figures to pull off the Clan, but havent found the time or drive to get to work yet.
I can only hope mine turn out near as good as yours.
-
Awesome job man. I love these guys.

Thanks very much. I need one more Jango for the Nulls and 2 more Bobas (Vintage Collection) for Omega. Hopefully, I can get them during the Holiday season.
-

It is hard. I'm waiting for one more.
-
Gotta agree w/ the previous posters, JM - I wouldn't quibble over reversed paint patterns on work this good other than to fuss at the website that got it wrong and lead you astray! Very very impressive array.
-

Thank you sir and to all the others that have complimented on my work.

Just seen these, JM, and my mouth is agape with how stunning they look. I do love seeing custom mandos and yours sure take the cake.

mmmmm...cake. Thanks.

Here're a couple of older customs. I redid the paint on the Mando. There is actually a back story on these guys but I want to finish some older customs that I thought were done but I got some ideas. Go figure (no pun intended). I think someone on this forum said that all customs are always WIP.
-
i like em !
-
Sweet Mando Jedi. What did you use for the Mando Jedi lightsabers? Also, do you have any more shots of the sword on their back? I know I would like to see more detail.
-
sweet
-
uber nice bro whats the back story?
-

A couple of older Darth Vader sabers. I took one and shortened it. The swords are Snake Eye's. I don't remember which series. I'll try to get more pics done this weekend.
-
Cool. Thanks for the info. I will have to look for some of those swords.
-

Here're a couple sword shots.
-
Really cool mando man!
-
This was a little different. It's not actually one that I'm going to keep. I did it temporarily for something else. I may come back to something like it but in different colors. Thought you all would enjoy, though.
-
really cool customs
-
wow, looks great - I love the red and those two sords he is carrying on his back.
-
nice ! ;D
-
Looks like a keeper to me, JM. That mando is looking sharp.
-
Really like it looks good!
-
Very nice colors Im a sucker for good color mixing. Only one thing are the two swords in the back meant to be lightsabers also or just regular swords?
-
Very nice colors Im a sucker for good color mixing. Only one thing are the two swords in the back meant to be lightsabers also or just regular swords?
Regular swords. their off of some Cobra Red Fang Ninja. I was tempted to paint the brown leather belts and straps black to go with the body suit. I think the brown leather look gives it a more realistic look.
-
Really nice jedi´s!!!
-
I was tempted to paint the brown leather belts and straps black to go with the body suit. I think the brown leather look gives it a more realistic look.
I think you made the right call. Black is hard to photograph well and if you paint too many of your details black, you get a blob (usually). By painting them brown, you let the black bodysuit be the base and let the details visually "float to the surface" as it were. More visually interesting *and* easier to see/photograph.
-
man that red mando is looking awsome dude.
-
cool!!
-
the Mando is awesome JM
he looks like Ghez Hokan from the first book of the KT Republic Commando novels
-

Love those books! Thanks. Hokan didn't have black, though? Wasn't it red and gray?
-
Here're two Jedi and a Sith. The Mon Cal is a Padawan to the Quarren, breaking the animosity between their peoples. They encounter an aquatic Sith Lord.
-
More great looking Jedi! Well done!
-
Here're Omega Squad. Hopefully, Darman and Niner make it to their brothers. First is Niner, then Atin, followed by Corr.
-
Here we have Fi and Darman both with their favorite weapons. And, of course, a family shot.
-
HOLY FREEKIN SWEETNESS!!!
Dude, those are AWESOME!!
I love your paint-apps - those guys are *crispy*!

Amazing mandos man!

thanks for all the comments, guys. As I look at a couple of these, there are some minor details I would like to add. We'll see.

Nice aqualish sith. Where did you get the head?
-
Nice aqualish sith. Where did you get the head?
He was some senator or something from end of last year or beginning of this year.

Doc, that is one of the coolest compliments I've ever received. "Crispy!" I like it. Thanks.

crispy indeed !¬! :D
-
Nice aqualish sith. Where did you get the head?

Po Nudo. I wish I'd considered the potential of that figure back when I could get them. As it is, I'm going to have to use old Ponda Baba heads for the Aqualish I need. At least I can mold/cast them to mess with until I get it the way I want it. ;)
-
Wow! all hail the Omega squad! Very nice paint work and execution on those, JM.
-
WOW, those guys rock!!!
-
How did I miss that great squad! They look fantastic. Look for them on the front page this week! Wow, I really like the lighter colored one a lot!
-
Very coool Mandos, JM. Lovin em.
Great post!!
-
I'm catching up a bit, and I have to say, I love your Jedi and Mandos. I especially like the paint choices, as well as markings. Doc was correct in calling them crisp!
-

I like crispy. I've been craving KFC for days, since reading Doc's comment.
-
One other thing. I may have to wait for the Vintage Jango Fett to come out next month before I can complete my Skirata Clan. Since starting this latest project, I've been considering redoing my Kal Skirata. Currently, it is the Mij Gilmar figure that came with the EE Republic Commando set. While I'm at it, I may look at doing a Walon Vau and Delta Squad set in Mando armor. Shoot, I should do a Besany and Laseema, as well. Of course, there's the freighter pilot that Mereel or Jaing is trying to set up with Kal. Then there're the other clones and jedi that have also found their way to the Skirata Clan's home. Whew...I could do a whole thread on the Skirata Clan alone. I do have an Etain, Capt. Maze, and Zey. Any other suggestions? Mird? Capt. Obrim, CSF? Some CSF?
-
gaib and teekay o
-
your Skirata clan looks fantastic JM
especially the color scheme of Atin's beskar'gam is something I've never seen before
great job

I came across the shade of blue at a shop I visited recently. I don't know how much I like it, yet. Thanks.
-
Here're a couple of Jedi I've been working on. Still not done. Maybe over the winter break.
-
This is Furlon Jungle Recon. They were formed from a couple of platoons out of the 41st Elites. After a time on Kashyyyk, a few platoons were deployed to take on a droid stronghold. only 2 platoons worth of men survived. They took the base and it was soon decided that these men be formed into special recon teams. The unit was sent on to a primitive jungle planet in the outer rim. Their mission: rescue Republic citizens being held captive at an abandoned research facility.
-
More Furlon Jungle Recon
-
Group Shot.
-
those jedi look something bad ass bro the recon clones sre the best though all the color combos really make them look great.
-

Thanks. Thought I'd try a unit that didn't have a set pattern but something more individualized. Something similar to commandos.
-
wow, most excellent color schemes on these troopers, I love them all.
-
Hey Guys,
Which do you like best? Prudii with a cape or without and a new paint app?
-
cape by far !
-
cape by far !
Maybe I'll use both.
-
hmmm, I like the cape very much, but also the new paint apps... ;)
-
Great work!!
Love the troopers and the mando!!!
Great colors and paint job's!!
rich
-
I think I like him better without the cape but with the loincloth.
Looking good!
-
Excellent clones man!
-
I like your Joe Jedi's. I think your Mando looks better without the cape. Maybe if you battle damaged the cape it would look more natural. I still like the cape anyways though. If I saw this guy at the store I would buy him.
-
I like the jedi and the jungle recon trooper. Would it be possible to get the recipes for the Jedi?
-
I like the jedi and the jungle recon trooper. Would it be possible to get the recipes for the Jedi?
Venrick Deed's, the first jedi listed, recipe:
Head: Some WWE action figure
Body: Desert Viper
Lightsaber: Coleman Trebor
Nox Luminar's, the green and black Jedi, recipe:
Head: A GI Joe I picked up at an antique store
Body: Jungle Viper, minus the branch/leaf things attachments
Loincloth: scrap material from around the house
Lightsaber: Coleman Trebor

I hope you all had a Merry Christmas. Santa did get one figure. It'll be a project. I'll let you know.

The next couple of pages are of Jaster Mereel and Montross. I got these two with the other EE Exclusives. Also, I ordered an extra Jaster and Montross set to customize. The Jaster figure is Jango Fett with a different paint app, a new head sculpt, different weapons with holsters, and a cape. The Montross figure is a Boba Fett torso with a different paint app, a new head sculpt, legs from Mandalore (Boba Fett Legacy Set, I believe), new arms sculpt, different weapons with holsters, and a cape. both figures come with jet packs. Originally, they were my bday present to myself but because of backorders, they came in more recently. The extra Jaster and Montross actually came on Christmas Eve (er afternoon really).
The extra JM and M I ordered are WIP but I couldn't wait to post what I have already. I gave JM a new cape style and a loincloth. The spear in his hand is from the Mandalore figure. M has a new and different color cape with a more worn look. I took the same material and did a wrap around the right leg. The ax is from some GI Joe ninja figure circa. mid-90's. The arm-blade-thingy is from the cheaper soldier toy line from Walmart (the Corps, I believe).
Both figures will get new paint. The leg wrap will be a different color and might actually be tied with a cord, not wire. And there will be a wrap on the left leg. The figure that came with the arm-blade-thingy had two. I'm debating whether to use both or not. I like the cape style on the JM figure but I may work it some more.
The back story on the JM figure is this: Mandalore the Protector was Mandalore two centuries prior to Jaster Mereel's acceptance to that rank. His was a short reign but significant to what would become Mereel's Supercommando Codex.
The back story on the Montross figure is this: Wolf was a descendent of farmers from Concord Dawn. His love of his family and the land was all he needed. Then the day came when off-world marauders attacked and killed his entire family but his youngest daughter. They were on a supply run together. Later, as they were finding clues as to the marauders whereabouts, their ship came under attack...

Ooops. Now, what do you think?
-
Neat!

Oh and here's Wolf's (temporary name, btw) daughter, Rina. She too, is a WIP.
-
i think this looks awesome

really neat

doe's that helmet fit anakins head( saga legends head ) and doe's the anakin head fit onto the vizla neck bulge ???
The helmet isn't hollowed out. And I don't know if Anakin's head would fit. I don't have much in the Clone Wars line. Just this, couple of Cpt. Rex, Windu, and a couple of others.
-
Oh, now you went and beat me to another one of my ideas!! Glad to see a TCW Skinnies Mando looks convincing as a young female in armor!
-
Oh, now you went and beat me to another one of my ideas!! Glad to see a TCW Skinnies Mando looks convincing as a young female in armor!
Sorry Doc. I must say that it comes from someone else's idea when they did a shadow or something trooper with a female head. This may not be my last one since there doesn't seem to be any female Mandos coming out any time soon from Hasbro. There were only the two from the EE exclusive line. Of course, those are hard to get at a reasonable price. Ah well.
-
Very nice!
-
Sooo... someone *else* had the idea too??? Wow, it *was* a good one! ;D I have far more ideas than I have time (and skill, in some cases) to make. Another Idea I had - for female Stormies - was to use the Cmdr Faie engineer-style body. That sculpt's chest has what could easily pass for boob-protection curves without being obnoxious.
-

Is that the one with the white soft goods robe?
-
Yessir! That's the one.
-
Yessir! That's the one.
I don't know. The "breast" plates seem a little too wide apart. Just my opinion but I'd love to see what you end up with.
-
Here's part of a a current project I started with a Montross figure. He's already one of my favorites
He goes by Wolf but that is not the name he was born with. He wants vengeance for his family and a home for his only surviving child. Marauders beware...
His legs are wrapped with a wolf's pelt and the arm blade is called "Fang". "Fang" is a type of sword that only his clan knows to make and use. The battle ax was his wife's. He plans on using it on those that killed her and their children.

More Mando Wolf

Thanks Doc. The leg wraps are a velvet like material. It's a plush-stretchy material.

Nice work I teally like the nomad Mando look.
-
Nice work I teally like the nomad Mando look.
Thanks! Exactly what I was trying to go for. Although, he is a farmer-hunter. His clan was almost all wiped out and so, that does make him something of a nomad as he hunts for the marauders that did the attack.
-
This guy has a look all his own. Nice work being the first to customize the new Montross figure.
On the front page!
-
Excellent work my friend. Nice Mando.
-
i love those " wolf pelts " ;D

I got two sets of the Montross/Mereel set. They and the other EE Exclusives were birthday presents for myself but because they were on backorder, I didn't get them until just before Christmas and the extra Montross/Mereel set on Christmas Eve! You're putting Wolf on the Front Page is a great way to finish the year. Thanks and Happy New Year to you and all our friends in the Yards!
-
i love those " wolf pelts " ;D
I think they're the first of needle-and-thread projects you'll see.

really interesting thanks
-
I realy love the wolf mando, great blend of parts and the soft goods are a perfect touch. That ee pack is nice but I can't bring myself to open mine... I might have to shell out the extra cash to get one to open!
the daughter mando is great. Agent helix head on the TCW animated mando right? looks great! I might even consider copying that or doing something similar in the future. I've said from the start that the animated mandos look too feminine or young.

It's worth getting the extra. I opened both but am only customizing one set. I may switch heads with Scarlet. The one with the ponytail. I plan on getting another CW Mando. Maybe even Vizsla. I don't normally buy CW figures but for this, I would. Thanks for the comments.

-

-
awesome, great idea for the little Jedi....
-
Ok...here are some WIP. These are some Bounty Hunters. Then there is Boris again. He's from page 10. I put a new head on him. It's the Vintage Rebel Trooper's head. I didn't realize he was bald until I took him out of the package.
-
those are kool but i dont think firefly is a bounty hunter ? is he to be customized? can we see more of that last one in the group shot?
-
those are kool but i dont think firefly is a bounty hunter ? is he to be customized? can we see more of that last one in the group shot?
I'll be working on all of them in one way or another. I'll try to get some pics later of that last one.

Gotta like bounty hunters, great job mate.
-
I really like that head. Nice job.
-
Hey, haven't posted in a while. Here you go, not much of a custom. Just did the conical hat K'Kruhk wears. Simple as it may be, I find it a great fault of Hasbro, as many of you do, to not include small details that make a character what it is. Well, I have a couple of ideas to make it more realistic but since I haven't posted in a while anyway...
-
Here're my latest. The first is a Nikto bounty hunter by the name of Girok. He became a bounty hunter during the time of the Empire and through the years of the New Republic. A very stoic and logical bounty hunter, he does have a soft spot for children of all species. An orphan of the Clone Wars, Girok was raised with many other orphans of several different species when his family's transport crash landed on a backwards planet.
-
And here is Zep and Getz. Their fellow LAAT/i crewmembers were killed in the early part of the war. They survived the war and became training pilots for the Empire.
-
nice pilots !
-
Very nice work on all of them.
What is the recepie on the nickto?
-
wow, great update. Expect to see it on the front page soon.
I lik the Nikto pretty good as well.
-
very nice Kadas'sa'Nikto bounty hunter
well done JM
-
Excellent customs.
-
really love that bounty hunter ;D
-
Very nice work on all of them.
What is the recepie on the nickto?
Thank You. The Nikto is as follows:
Head: One of Jabba's guards
Body: Some video game action figure that came out recently
On the video game action figure. I saw this line over at Target, and there's only the one like this. Others were these nano suit things that looked like black muscles, if you took layers of skin off of a person. Others were these alien things; some kind of cybernetic something.
-
wow, great update. Expect to see it on the front page soon.
I lik the Nikto pretty good as well.
Thanks very much.
-
B4, FF, SH
Thank you all. The bounty hunter was a quick fun one to put together. My wife actually commented on it and said she loves the blue. I don't use it very often and I'm glad. I've got more clones to do but you know how it goes, so many ideas, so little time.
Joe
-
very kool brother liking the blue!!! Nice banner tooHEHEHE!!!
-
Very cool pilots!!!
Love the Bounty Hunter!!!! Love that blue!!!!
Great work!!!!
Rich
-
awesome
-
Cool custom, nice pilots!
-
Here are some WIP's
The first two are a couple of ARC's during the transition from Republic to Empire military. The next three are potential bounty hunters.
-
This is an Iktotchi bounty hunter by the name of Caertok Krehy. He became a reputable bounty hunter of the Expansion Region around the end of the Clone Wars.
-
A former soldier of the Ubese Royal House (which were only figureheads for the warlords of Ubese), Skooasch went on to become a bounty hunter. He wasn't released from the ranks but instead encouraged to leave as he became more and more infatuated by the princess.
-
they all look great !
-
Frehd'Enreek Mooncatcher was originally known as Catcher when he was an ARC during the Clone Wars. At the end of the war he left the new regime through secret means. He came across other ex-troopers by accident that had found employment as mercenaries and it was at their suggestion that he build a career as a bounty hunter. Like them, he wore a helmet that was internally like his old helmet but with a very different exterior. Throughout the Rebellion he took on every job but Jedi and Clone hunting. The former out of respect for the Jedi he served under and the latter, for more obvious reasons. Not often but there were two incidents where he helped Jedi and clone troopers. An aged Jedi master was running from another bounty hunter when he was coming out of the rear entrance of a restaurant. With no witnesses, he shot the other bounty hunter in the leg and knocked him out. He looked at the Jedi for a moment bowed and went around to the front of the building. The clone troopers he came across were part of a job which he later gave up when he found out that they were ex-troopers. He did find them but he gave them the name of someone that could help them settle somewhere more safe. The name he gave was Skirata.
Oh, and some people just called him "Fred" after he changed his name.
-
Here're more Separatists for that line of Seps I started a few pages ago. One is a Vurk negotiator and the other is a Vurk commando. Jensehn Huura tried to convince member states of the Confederacy to return to the Republic, especially the planet of S'ron II. It had a large colony of Vurk. He even had members of his clan that had residency on S'ron II. Boree Gran found himself in the middle of this secret meeting and his clan's leanings were towards rejoining the Republic.
-
love all the new figures
-
Cool stuff, JM. You are on fire buddy.
-
Cool figures!!!
Great job on them!!!
I really like the story also!!!
Keep up the great work!!
Rich
-
good job, gotta like bounty hunters :)
-
Thank you all for the wonderful praise. Observing what some of you have done inspired me to do some of these. There are a couple besides the WIP's I've posted but I think I'll wait for when they're done. Some more will be on the way, hopefully by the weekend.
-
Nice customs!
-
This is Mykel and Ghabryel. They are Roma Guards from Roma III. Brothers and loyal to Clan Caso, one of the ancient clans of the Roma system. Another member of the clan is Commander Maximo, commanding officer of the Commando Division of the Roma Defense Force. They know of his Republic ties and they are aiding him in relocating his daughter, a Republic university student, to a distant Roma colony.
-
cool figures ! and i love the back story :)
-
You are really cranking out some cool figures,JM!
-
Joj Castl, Mand'alore te Cabur (Mandalore the Guardian), was Mandalore around 1000 ABY. His was a just rule and encouraged strengthening Mando worlds not only militarily but with heart, knowledge, and a sense of family not seen in almost a millennia. Few resisted the idea as it was an opportunity for regrouping and waiting for the opportunity for continuing the quest for Glory and Honor. Mandalorians still served as mercenaries. Those not in the field worked to improve the lives of all Mando. This became a renaissance for Mandalore and it's sister planets. Populations flourished. The Republic and other governments were concerned with another Mandalorian Expansionist Empire. Castl was the longest reigning Mandalore and the Mando worlds became strong. The Republic was correct...almost. Mandalorians were mercenaries and bounty hunters but as their worlds prospered, they stayed within their borders. They honed their skills and their knowledge. They expanded not in property but as a culture. Just don't mess with a Mando.
-
that is awesome i love it !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
THats cool!
-
Cool Mando!
-
Nice job on the Mando guardian! The soft goods and Joe weapons help this guy stand out.

Very cool custom.

Here're a couple of ARC's
Capt. FiB (short for Fire Ball) is an ARC Trooper Captain that served during the transition from the Republic to the Empire. He is struggling with the new regime and the temptation exists that he can leave and join some of his brothers.
Lt. Rii joined the ranks after Geonosis and lacks the connection with his fellow ARC's. During the transition, he shows initiative and a good sense of leadership. If not for the accelerated growth rate, Lt. Rii would go farther in the Imperial Military.
-
Paratrooper Ven fights valiantly at the battle of Dibrae II and is promoted to platoon leader. He leads his men thru many battles and when Order 66 is issued, he is the first one to fire a shot at their Jedi commander.
-
very cool ;D
-
Bashla Laii is a Togruta smuggler and has helped bring needed supplies to the Togruta colony of Raiguhr III about 1000 years before Yavin. Her affinity for the Force has helped her to succeed in many business transactions. Often she finds herself in situations that may mean life and death for her fellow Togruta.
Arruan Kashiik finds himself at first fighting for his life and the lives of his family and neighbors when marauders raid his village. He uses a pair of ancient weapons his people called Thraek'tur (Fist of Horns). He is knocked out and awakens in a cage. No one from his home is with him. Other aliens are in other cages lining a large room. In the days to come he is forced to fight these other aliens with his Thraek'tur. These gladiatorial are seen by countless gamblers and sports fans. Eventually, he leads some of the gladiators to freedom during a transport to a new stadium. Some of his fellow gladiators join him as they too search for their loved ones. They become mercenaries to fund their venture.
-
very nice i like them all ;D
-
love arruran !!!
-
Love the Clones! The Smuggler and Gladiator are awesome!
-
Love em all!!!
Great job!!!
Love the stories also!!!
Keep up the great work!!!
Rich

Good stuff!! What body did you use for Bashla Laii?
-
Good stuff!! What body did you use for Bashla Laii?
I used a figure that was almost a generic Joe body for females.
-
Ok, I'm guessing it is the camo body from Cover Girl/Scarlett? I think they used it for an exclusive fig, Dialtone, that was just that body with an Agent Helix head.
-
Ok, I'm guessing it is the camo body from Cover Girl/Scarlett? I think they used it for an exclusive fig, Dialtone, that was just that body with an Agent Helix head.
You are correct, sir. I used that body for a couple of other customs. This is the first one I painted. I was considering doing multiple colors on the body but the sculpt doesn't work that way. What do you think?
-
Wow, great backstory to the Saessee Tiin Alien. On the front page.
I really like your signature pic too.
-
I think I'm going to "liberally borrow" your idea, that's what! I need alien spacers and this approach should be fairly easy...
-
I like these, especially the Gladiator.
-
I think I'm going to "liberally borrow" your idea, that's what! I need alien spacers and this approach should be fairly easy...
Please. One cool thing about the yards is that we inspire each other in many ways.
-
Wow, great backstory to the Saessee Tiin Alien. On the front page.
I really like your signature pic too.
Thank you very much. The signature is all Jules. He's great.
-
Awesome job on the Gladiator! I love the additional skin markings/tattoos(?) on his back...great effort there!
-
Awesome job on the Gladiator! I love the additional skin markings/tattoos(?) on his back...great effort there!
Thanks. I think they're natural markings like stripes on a tiger. I had this one sitting on the shelf for weeks and finally got to it last night. If you read the back story, I now want to add to his gladiator/mercenary crew.
-
very nice Arruan Kashiik great job on him and the story
-
the Iktotchi gladiator looks awesome
well done JM
-
nice customs!
-
awesome
-
Amazing customs!
-
Hi Folks. It's been awhile but here's one of my first customs.
Master Grumprrishkar "Grump" was on a special mission for the Jedi Order when Order 66 was issued. While undercover, he saw the slaughter of another Master and her Padawan. It took all his will power to not attack the clone troopers. He travelled on to the Corporate Sector and hired himself out as a bodyguard. While in that capacity, he learned what he could about the new Empire and bided his time.
-
Looks good! Got me thinking about how those ROTS wookiees are just so gosh darn huge!
-
Great!!
Love the Wokkie Jedi!!
Looks real cool!!!
-
awesome wookie jedi !!!
-
Love the name. Cool custom!
-
Looks good to me. I would love a few more pics.
-
Looks good to me. I would love a few more pics.
Let me see. I've got time tomorrow. Maybe tomorrow will be a pic day. Someone was asking for more pics of my ARC 170 I did on the the "custom vehicle" section. We'll see.
-
Very nice, I love the Wookies!
-
great wookiee Jedi
well done
-
Amazing wookie jedi!
-
Hi Folks,
Haven't posted for a while now and been wanting to get these done this weekend. Hope you like.
Joe
These are all GI Joes that I've got plenty of just for customizing. The Alderaan Guard came to mind when I remembered that red was a main color mentioned in one of the X-Wing: Rogue Squadron books. The Corellians' color scheme came from when I was watching Kingdom of Heaven the other night. Some of the crusaders had a blue surcoat over their armor.
The Alderaan Guard were the elite military unit charged with protecting the Royal Family. Along with their royal duties, they would also serve in active military units throughout and outside the Alderaan system. These here are members of the Alderaan Guard centuries before Alderaan's destruction. Left to right: Sergeant Ran Koel, Captain Farinis se Gan, and Private Yek Turon.
Centuries before the Battle of Yavin, the Corellian Xata Warriors were a unit of the Corellian Defense Force. Their history is filled with heroism and many of it's members were recipients of the Corellian Bloodstripe. Lt. Gavid Rens, Private Jo Brev, and Private Mig Narkia were on patrol with eight other members of their platoon when they were hit by marauders on the desert planet Nerin IV. They were the sole survivors with only one marauder escaping off planet.
-
Looks good to me. I would love a few more pics.
Here's a couple pics.
-
Here are more pics of one of the Alderaan Guard, Capt. Farinis se Gan. A proud and honorable soldier, Gan was one of many from his family line that entered the military. Most served in the AG and Captain Gan was a fine example of a warrior. He befriended a Jedi and fell in love with her. They had a child, strong in the force, who would become a member of the Jedi Council.
-
Here's an individual profile on the Corellian Xata Warrior. Private Jo Brev thought it would be an adventure to enlist into the military. Instead he learned about the cruelty that can be the Galaxy and instead of being turned from it, he takes on every assignment in hopes of making the Galaxy that much better for everyone.
-
wow they all look great im really liking that wookie
-
super cool stuff, hard to tell my favorite, but I guess its the Alderaan Guards.
Or the Wookie... or the Corellian guys.... :)
great works!
-
I'm sure Matt Tracker is spinning in his mold, knowing his head has been attached to a Crimson Guard torso... :D
-
I like the corellian warrior. Looks like a black ops special forces trooper.
-
I like the Xata trooper; interesting use of Joe parts...different but cool!
-
Cool customs man!
-
I'm sure Matt Tracker is spinning in his mold, knowing his head has been attached to a Crimson Guard torso... :D
OMG! I used to watch that! I feel guilty having taken him apart now. I have two...er...had two and took them both apart. The head of the other is on the Cobra Jungle Viper figure and is a CW era Jedi. Still working on him and maybe you'll see him soon.
-
I like the corellian warrior. Looks like a black ops special forces trooper.
They're kind of a spec op/knight kind of thing. I had this Crusaders thing going after watching "Kingdom of Heaven".
-
Here's my rendition of Kal in armor and in quasi civilian/military clothing.
-
Here's Kad Skirata
-
stunning work!!
-
Omega Squad and the Nulls. Now look at my rendition of Kad Skirata, his armor, and the armor of his father's and uncles'. And of course, can't leave out a grandson/grandfather picture. I don't have anything to show an old Kal. Anyway, I have been wanting to get to these updates but didn't have an extra Boba or Jango to spare. Until now...
-
Love, love, love the paint on Kad Skirata!! Awesome work!! Great Mandolorians too!!
-
Awesome work on the clan!
-
Nice clan, on the front page.
-
oh yeah those are perfect love them all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
Excellent! I love seeing customs from the Republic Commando series!
-
**THUD**
THat was the sound of me, falling over. Sheer awesome! Love the paint-apps. Great work! (Need to sent those pics to The Lady Traviss!)

more thuds from my neck of the woods too

really nice mandos!

Man! Those are so cool. The paintwork is breathtaking! Your pics are a feast for my eyes. One question: What head were you using for Kal?? It is perfect and I would like one for my own Skirata,
-
Man! Those are so cool. The paintwork is breathtaking! Your pics are a feast for my eyes. One question: What head were you using for Kal?? It is perfect and I would like one for my own Skirata,
I used the Montross' head from the Jaster/Montross comic pack. I kind of went nuts and bought three of them. One was part of the case that I justified as a self- birthday present, one was for a self-Christmas present, and one was just happened to be at the right place at the right time kind of thing. I plan on using the Montross body for a Mando I did with a Jango body. Originally, he was Boris (you can find him in my pages). Now I'll use that head (which is a Vintage Rebel Trooper) on the Montross body. And Jango's body is now one of the Null ARCs you see in that last set of updates. It'll all worked out except, now I need a body for Walon Vau. I'll have to hunt up another Jango body and a head that looks somewhat, if not, very aristocratic. Any suggestions are appreciated.
-
Nice work. I like the colors.
-
Excellent! I love seeing customs from the Republic Commando series!
Ever since I picked up the hobby and read the books, I knew I had to do these. Now it's time to do a Walon, Etain, Jusik, Besseny, Laseema, and that should get most of the characters I want. Of course, then there's Jaller, Parja, and, and, and,..............
-
Nice clan, on the front page.
THANK YOU!
-
fantastic work on the clan
I wish my Papa Kal would look so good
-
fantastic work on the clan
I wish my Papa Kal would look so good
Thanks but yours was one of the ones I used for inspiration.
-
Here's another family shot.
-
Each of these is a masterpiece in its own right! Seeing them all together at once just may be too much for my health! ;D
-
Each of these is a masterpiece in its own right! Seeing them all together at once just may be too much for my health! ;D
thank you so much. Again, I have the need to get the other characters going. I have a Walon Vau on the to-be-done shelf this week or weekend. Also, you can't do any of this without an Etain. Also, on the shelf. So much to do, so little time (and $$$).
-
Well, here's another one. Bardan Jusik. Just before he leaves the Order. I believe it was after he left that he cut his hair. Here it's in a ponytail. Of course, the picture doesn't do the figure justice. You can't tell that there are two tones of green. I'm thinking of changing that but for now, I don't have the right shade of green, yet. Let me know what you all think.
-
Sweet figure, I do miss them not finishing this up.
-
Sweet figure, I do miss them not finishing this up.
It adds to the mystery and mystic of the time period. But YES, I wish they would finish it, too.
-
Wow! :o Very well done. I can just make out the difference in the tones of green. (I think you're right; he cut his hair after he left the Order.)
-
that is a great version of Bard'ika
I can see the two tones of green and it looks great
definitely a character that I want in my collection
-
Great mando bro!!
-
Not bad at all, and I'm sure any changes you make would make a great fig even better!
-
That's Bard'ika for sure!
Very well done.
-
WOW that is cool fantastic job :D
-
I decided to change out a previous custom to allow me to have another base for one of the Null ARCs. Mereel was the last one and so, since it's kind of hard to get the Vintage Jango, I decided to use Boris' custom. For Boris, I used a Montross body.
-
Here's the new Boris.
-
This is still a WIP but I did want to show him off a bit.
Few Iktotchi become Mandalorians but Xarta Geinik's transport was boarded by pirates when he was young. The crew, most of the passengers, and his parents were killed. One other passenger was barely alive. Xarta did what he could to help the passenger live. For several days they lived on what was left in the galley with minimal life support. Just before the last of the ship's systems went offline, the crew of a Mandalorian assault ship came across the transport. One of the crew stopped the gunner from firing upon the ship when they saw a face in a viewport. They were all impressed with the way Xarta carried himself. They brought Xarta and the other passenger aboard and made for Concord Dawn. The passenger survived and stayed on with a farming family to recover. Xarta asked to stay with the clan that found him. He eventually became head of Clan Chi and later, Mandalore.
-
great mandos
-
Awesome new WIP! The Iktotchi species works well for just about any seedy, questionable occupation out there. Mandos? Perfect fit for an Iktotchi!
Can't wait to see your final 'tuneups' on this one!
-
Well, crud. There's another project someone beat me to and did better on than I would. ;) (I bought a Saesee in clone armor specifically to make an Ikt. Mando...)
 Looks better than it did in my mental imagery - good work.
-
cool ;D
-
Sweet. I love the mythrosaur skull on that weapon.
Look for this on the fp soon.
-
Great Mando's!!!
That bald head looks great!!
Love the paint app!!!
Rich
-
Oh sweet helmet on that mando man!
-
great Iktotchi Mando
we need more Alien-Mandos
-
Thank you all for the high praise, especially on a WIP. I've been envisioning this one for months.
JM - Yes, I love the idea of using Iktotchi everywhere. So far, I've got a gladiator, bounty hunter, and now Mando. We'll see what's next.
Doc - I know whatever you end up doing for an Iktotchi Mando, it would be great.
Tamer - The Mythrosaur is my favorite part. I know in the comic book, it's black but the detail gets lost on the actual weapon. I knew if I painted the butt of the rifle wood colored, I had to add the silver on the Mythrosaur. The same on Boba Fett's rifle. Hasbro does it sometimes and sometimes, not.
DS - Bald is Beautiful.
-
great Iktotchi Mando
we need more Alien-Mandos
Yes, I do have quite a few ideas for some but alas, not enough money nor time. Of course, Spring Break is coming up.........
-
excellent idea and build!! wonderful details as well, I love that mando!!
-
I really like this figure, on the front page.
-
Wow nice mando
-
Cool Mandos. Very nice work.
-
Awesome mando man!!!
-
Here's an update on the Iktotchi Mandalorian, Xarta. The black stripe on his chest armor with the red dots, represents the justice he wants for his murdered family, each dot being a different family member.
-
Nice work Joe! I love the details you added to his armor and the goatee is something I probably would not have thought of, but it really works here.
-
Nice work Joe! I love the details you added to his armor and the goatee is something I probably would not have thought of, but it really works here.
I like the goatee idea but what do you think of brown instead of black?
-
nice update
I like the additional details and his beard
-
Nice work Joe! I love the details you added to his armor and the goatee is something I probably would not have thought of, but it really works here.
I like the goatee idea but what do you think of brown instead of black?
I think it would work either way, but going with brown might blend more with his skin tone.
-
I think this figure rocks all the way around. From the colors used on the armor, to the great facial sculpt (love the beard), to the Mando helmet and mythrosaur skull!
Back on the fp.
-
Outstanding Mando! Did you combine the head at all or just paint it?
-
Great looking figure. I like the idea of adding some brown to his goat. I would let some of the black show through to add some detail and texture.
-
I love this guy! Wish I had one. ;)
-
great job!!! ;D ;D
-
Outstanding Mando! Did you combine the head at all or just paint it?
The head is from the Saesee Tiin in clone armor. All I did was the eyebrows and goatee. You may see this again but with brown instead of black facial features.
-
I think this figure rocks all the way around. From the colors used on the armor, to the great facial sculpt (love the beard), to the Mando helmet and mythrosaur skull!
Back on the fp.
Very Cool. Thanks for the honor of a before and after FP with the same figure.
-
Here's an Indiana Jones looking Mandalorian. His name is Arrison Joehnes (see the name combo - Harrison Ford/Indiana Jones?) Anyway, simple back story. Joehnes may do bounty hunting but he does a side business in acquiring, usually legally, artifacts. He'll either dig them up, trade for, or threaten owners for items. Few refuse and he gives something for each item he trades for/purchases, unless he is ticked off by you...
-
i really like him!!
-
Very nice and I like the color choices.
-
awesome great paint apps like the name ;D
-
The color scheme is awesome; now that is a unique Mando! Nice job on the backstory too! ;)
-
awesome great paint apps like the name ;D
Thanks. Names are always fun to make up but this one was a little tricky.
-
The color scheme is awesome; now that is a unique Mando! Nice job on the backstory too! ;)
Trying to tie a bounty hunter and archeologist together was a fun. Gotta have the Mando attitude, no matter what.
-
awesome Mando, very much like the color scheme and of course the head :)
-
That is a cool Mando. I like the colors and the Indy head works great. Nice work.
-
Awesome mando!
-
Really nice mando!
-
the paint apps are fantastic
another wonderful custom Mando
-
Hey that looks great. On the front page.
I love the cross-overs. That head seems a natural on that body too.
-
Hey that looks great. On the front page.
I love the cross-overs. That head seems a natural on that body too.
Thank you, sir.
-
Almost there. The Republic Commando series is one of my favorite sets of books. Just need a Walon Vau, Bessany, Laseema, Jaller and a couple minor characters.
-
Freaking awesome Minstrel.
Good lord how am I gonna fit that on the front page?
-
WOW! I knew you were mounting quite the collection on this group but man am I impressed! They all look great together!

Sounds interesting, I will wait.

Just need a Walon Vau...
If you can live with the idea: Check out my For Sale thread and see if you might like my custom Walon Vau...
-
Just need a Walon Vau...

Is it the one with Omega Squad. He looks cool but isn't that the Boba Fett based on the "Droids" cartoon? He doesn't have a removable head, right?
-
that's an impressive "Skirata Clan" collection JM
can't wait to see your version of Walon Vau
-
Looks awesome! Can't wait to see this on fp! (Good luck, Tamer! ;))
-
Almost there. The Republic Commando series is one of my favorite sets of books. Just need a Walon Vau, Bessany, Laseema, Jaller and a couple minor characters.
So much for you to be proud of here you must look at these everyday and smile in satisfaction!
-
Is it the one with Omega Squad. He looks cool but isn't that the Boba Fett based on the "Droids" cartoon? He doesn't have a removable head, right?
Yes, that's the one.
It would be easy to give him a head and a wearable helmet, though.

Almost there. The Republic Commando series is one of my favorite sets of books. Just need a Walon Vau, Bessany, Laseema, Jaller and a couple minor characters.
So much for you to be proud of here you must look at these everyday and smile in satisfaction!
OMG!!! Exactly. I hate it at the same time because I don't have all the characters but I made a trip to a favorite place and got some cool figures and such. A couple will go towards the RC collection but patience is a virtue I try to practice. I'm now considering the following along with other main characters I've listed already:
Arligan Zey (what I have now, not so great)
Nyreen "Ny" Vollen (if I can come up with something with a cross between Mirax Terrik and Aunt Baru)
Dr. Uthan
Jilka Zan Zentis
Interesting...you know how it goes, you start on one road and next thing you know, it's exploded into something bigger.
-
If you can, would you please post larger pics of your Skirata gang?
I'd love to see more details of all those you haven't shown yet.

I'll do what I can. My wife took the good camera.

Here's a teaser until I can use the better camera. I've got a ton to show. Go Spring Break!
-
is that a mp5 without a mag?
-
is that a mp5 without a mag?
Yes
-
Nice work. Very cool.
-
Here are some that I've mostly gotten to over my Spring Break.
Haro Gapin, Imperial Intellegence. Vader once spoke to him in passing when Gapin was a teenager. Darth Vader stopped, which scared the boy and said, "Trust your instincts, always". The one day he did not was when he accepted an invitation to accompany his commanding officer to review incidents at a "new" base orbiting the jungle moon of Endor.
Nova Blade was mercenary unit that has seen action all over the galaxy. Made up of ex-soldiers, ex-con, and even an ex-politician. They were once hired by Warlord Zinj but when offered a second opportunity, they refused saying that they had a prior contract. Zinj respected their integrity. In truth, their leader believed that it was a matter of time before Zinj would be brought down. He felt that he didn't want to chance being at the wrong place at the wrong time. He was right.
Etain Tur-Mukan, Jedi Knight, General, and pregnant with Darman's child.
Mereel really likes his big guns. He dyed his hair blond but what can you do?
-
Here's a bounty hunter from The Old Republic video game. No name or backstory, yet.
-
Walon Vau was a training sergeant for Delta and other Republic Commandos. Harsh doesn't even begin to describe his personality and training style. He added blue and green to his armor colors when he decided to help Kal with his quest to help all clones. The Mandalorian sword, beskad, is what he used on Atin.
No Mird, yet. I'm thinking how I want to do that and don't have the parts I need. Soon.
-
More Vau.
Additional pics to come this weekend.
The background used for all of these was done using spray paints in a way, I'm sure some of you would be very interested in. Maybe I'll do a series of shots to show this one day. I've experimented but they never came out as good as this one which was from an old roommate, not the artist, of mine.
Tamer, still trying to figure out how to redo some group shots for you.
-
Very cool Walon Vau!
If you come up with an idea on how to do Mird, let me know.
I've been thinking, but couldn't find a good solution to recreate him.
-
Wow you really have some awesome stuff here.
-
Wow you really have some awesome stuff here.
Thanks. I'll have more pics up later but it's time to do some stuff around the house before lunch. Maybe tonight.
-
Superb job on these new ones! The Tarkin head works surprisingly well for Vau. Your paint jobs on all of these are top-notch, as usual!
-
No backstory here. If you've read the Republic Commando series, then you know.
First pic, Omega and Etain.
Second pic, Nulls and Kal.
Third pic, Capt. Maze and Gen. Zey.
Fourth pic, Gen. Jusik and Tal Squad (fan fic squad).
-
Next are Corr and Fi. I believe by the time Corr met Kal and the crew, Omega were already wearing the black armor.
I haven't named these two clone/mando's but I may go with a couple of the Yayax Squad members from Rav Bralor's units. Or they maybe part of the Tal Squad (fan fic squad).
-
Now here are Omega, the Nulls, and a Skirata family if everyone were to have made it to Mandalore. The last pic is called a "Perfect World".
-
that's an interesting version of Walon Vau
the Tarkin head was a very good choice
-
Very cool!
It is obvious that you've put a lot of work into taking Karen's characters into 3 3/4" size.
I fully dig your work!
-
that's an interesting version of Walon Vau
the Tarkin head was a very good choice
Thank you. The Tarkin head is actually my second choice. My first choice has the right features but the skin tone isn't right. It's one of the Bespin guards. I may still try it one day. The reason I like the Tarkin head is because Vau comes from an aristocratic background. So, I think Tarkin has the right arrogant look. It may grow on me some more but until something else comes along, here's my version of Vau.
-
Very cool!

I fully dig your work!
Thank you. Karen Traviss and other authors that have expanded on the Star Wars universe really add more layers to an already amazing vision. Karen's books are great. Another set of characters I would like to try are the pilots from Rogue and Wraith Squadrons. But like everything else, time and money.
-
Wow, what an update. I like your choice for the Walon head too. I think they all look great. On the fp.
-
AMAZING! I love Republic Commandoes
-
Just caught your new updates: man, you have put great time and energy into these characters! I don't think anyone could ever top what you have done with this particular series.
I love that "Perfect World" pic...your take on Etain and Kad are phenomenally done! I like the soft goods and color scheme used on his multi-colored armor. Just like what I envisioned---literally---from the novels.
This is what you call top-notch work! Excellent, excellent, excellent job!!!
-
All of these are very cool, I especially like Tur-Mukan and Omega Squad.
-
Tamer, thank you for the FP. It was hard to do a large pic with all of these and still be able to see the detail. So, I figured small group shots would do the trick. It was actually very fun to do regardless of how long it took.
TS, thanks. I think the Republic Commando series is one of the best series along with the X-Wing books.
JediMerc, thank you. I think it would be dangerous for me to have or have access to a sewing machine. I'd probably go more nuts on soft goods stuff. I am from a family of tailors and seamstresses. Who knows, one day?
KRI, Etain is a favorite figure of mine that I wish I could do more with. It's Jinx from GI Joe. I am going to work on other Etains using Padme's body with Leia's Boushh bounty hunter head. You can see one combo with Kad and Darman. I am also, looking at creating another Jusik but in Jedi robes. I like the idea of these earlier scenes with later scenes. I may post the Nulls in their ARC armor next to their Mando counterpart. The same thing goes for Omega. If time and money work out and I do these shots, I may consider something with Delta. If Karen Traviss were to have written Imper Commando 2, maybe they would all have gone with Skirata. Imagine Delta in Beskar'gam.
-
Cool, I look forward to seeing the other Etains.
-
Great work on the clones and elites.
-
i like the family photos
-
These guys are awesome! If I had known they would all be at Love park I would have made the road trip to meet them all!
-
For some reason my computer won't let me view your customs. Are there any other websites your pics are posted on?
bbfet
-
Now, I can see the pics for some reason. Nice customs! Really like Delta Squad. Great job on Sev's color scheme.

Thanks MC although I can't take credit for Delta Squad. Those were from the Entertainment Earth Republic Commando Set. It also, came with three Geonosians.

Next time then. Thanks. I have to see about the other characters but my spring break is over now.
-
really love your mandos sir. super awesome! wish i had me one of those.
-
Great Clones! Love the Nulls and the commandos.
-
Awesome spread. Very cool diorama background too!
-
Here are a couple of simple ones. The first one is Etain Tur-Mukan during Hard Contact and the second one is Jaller Obrim from Triple Zero. Just head swaps but I think very effective.
-
I like the Jaller Obrim. Very nice use of parts.
-
I like the Jaller Obrim. Very nice use of parts.
Thanks. Jaller is Bail Organa with the soft goods coat. Bail looked like he was wearing something of a military cut and eventually I thought the color and cut would make a good CSF uniform. Perhaps it could just be a ranking officer's uniform since Wookieepedia has a different look for a regular police officer uniform.
-
I dig your Etain!
Great figure indeed.
Jaller looks cool, too.
When I first saw the new Vintage Senate Guardsman, I thought without the cloaks he'd make a great base for a Jaller custom.
Let's see when this figure will hit Germany so I can give him a try.
-
These great customs sure do make me wish we could have gotten the finish of this from Karen.
Oh well, no use to whine, on the front page.
-
Incredible work JM and the dio really sets it all off. Looks Great!!!!!
-
awesome work jm great mix of parts!!!
-
Nice use of the Bail Organa body for Jaller; that's an interesting one to use, seems like it'd work well for a lot of different custom types.
-
fantastic cutoms JM
I guess you are the first person who has the complete "Skirata Clan" in his collection

Not, yet. Still working on a Besany, Laseema, Ny, Dr. Uthan, Arla Fett, Scout, Jilka, baby or young Kad, and Mird. The Gen. Zey I have, isn't what I think he should look like. I just pulled out one of my first customs as a placeholder until I get the parts I think would work.
Whew!
Eventually, I'll get to all of these. The focus right now is Besany and Laseema. The problem with the GI Joes is that although they can be great bases for figures, they're slightly taller than SW figures. I think Scarlet would make a great Besany. We'll see.
-
Here's a before and after photo of Bardan Jusik before he went Mando'a and after he joined Skirata's little army.
-
Here are some that have been sitting on the workbench for a bit.
Krysala Nuppin was a Jedi of the Old Republic. A successful negotiator, she is being considered a seat on the High Council.
Ator Anto was a spacer during the Old Republic and did occasional work for the Jedi Council. He transported Jedi to destinations when they needed to be little inconspicuous. Just never ask what was in the bag.
Goh Dliw was a Ramoan Jedi that was always bringing a little laughter into every situation. Whether it was a small quip or a long but funny story, he may not have been the best example of Jedi but he could always lessen the tension of a bad situation.
-
Major Brilian Dorre was a member of Rahm Kota's Militia. After the issuance of Order 66, he and some select men, escorted Kota to one of their safehouses. There, they began to devise contingency plans and more emergency plans to aid Jedi and even Militia members and family members.
Verlenix Forlio was a Jedi General during the Clone Wars. He was a valiant warrior and was respected by all. At the battle of Lumi IV, he was going to sacrifice his life to save a platoon of clone troopers but at the last minute another 2 platoons came to the rescue. He did yell at the platoon leaders but all with a smile and some laughter. When Order 66 was issued, he was about to be shot by his company commander when the platoon leader he saved blocked the shot with his own body and at the same time, shot his own commander. Forlio escaped and so as not to implicate his men, didn't allow any to accompany him.
-
Julivederia "Julie" Sopken was a bounty hunter a 400 ABY. She wasn't as successful at first due to being female but as her reputation built up, she began to be more sought after.
-
last pic of "Julie".
-
Those are some great customs.
-
Man, I'm glad you asked me to come check these out! Your RC customs are great! Love the "what if" pictures of everyone in armor! Who's wearing the patchwork armor in you "A Perfect World" picture? Grown up Venku?
-

Thanks for checking them out. Yes, it is Venku. I just made sure that all the armor was a "piece" from each of my customs. Maybe by next week, I'll have Laseema and/or Besany.
-
Awesome work again JM! Very nice update.
-
Wow, I like them all, but that Julie is just over the top.
She looks like a dead ringer to me from that TOR MMO Trailer. Great work guy and on the front page.

I have been waiting for someone to do that figure. It rocks, I can only hope Hasbro will make one for a guy like me. Doubt it will be as good as this one looks just spot on with the coloring and that helmet looks great to me.

Happy Easter!

Love seeing new updates on the Republic Commando characters; it's starting to become a habit to check your work every day to see what else will pop up!
Jusik looks good; nice before/after pics!

awesome customs, Julie is my fave, she is just great - I love this heavy outfit :)
great work!

Here are some simple head swaps. I'm not a big Legacy person only because, it's a money and space issue (you all understand). But i am diggin some of the characters I come across when I do get a chance to pick up a comic book. Anyway here're some Knights. I'm not sure how the two aliens would normally be received, as I have only seen humans. If you know the answer, please share.

WOWSA!

KOOLNESS!!!!!

Kra'tee Sur and Jed li Turan were partners in the Recon Scouts.
Turan had just finished at the Aldera University and was celebrating with friends on Commenor when his homeworld was destroyed. Upon news of Alderaan's destruction, he contacted a family friend known to have Rebel sympathies. He joined the Rebellion and thanks to his outdoor activities growing up, military school, and participation with his university's ROTC, made it into the Recon Scouts. He turned down the offer of Lt. saying that he needed to earn it in the field.
Kra'tee Sur had Rebel friends that were killed in front of him and other family members when they came to visit and recruit for the Rebellion. His friends were followed by Imperial agents that wanted to make an example of them. Instead, Kra'tee and others joined with the blessing of their families and hopes that they would make a safer return.
After fighting with the Recon Scouts for a couple of years, Sur had become a hardened soldier but still befriended Turan when he joined the Scouts. Along with the rest of their unit, they received many commendations. But the greatest was at the establishment of the New Republic they felt they could finally bury some of their ghosts.
-
Benjin Duferin did not quite leave the Order but felt he needed to explore the galaxy and find his own Truths. Upon the outbreak of the Clone Wars, he was near the Getron Rift and stayed in the area. He was following the path the Force gave him which was to aid those in this part of the galaxy. Rarely did he tell others he was a Jedi. When Order 66 was issued, he was aiding a community of reptilian forest dwellers from some Hutt land developers. The Krrreeti appreciated his aid and invited him to stay for a while, knowing that he was a nomad. He stayed for months until he came across members of the Alliance to Restore The Republic that crash landed near a Krrreeti village. Upon news of the newly formed Empire, he was hesitant to mention his identity as a Jedi. Instead, he told them that he would help them repair their ship and join them and their struggle. Ten years before the Battle of Yavin, he revealed his background to Bail Organa. Just before he and Organa were to approach the leaders of this great news, Duferin was killed on a mission saving some of his men.

JM--Interesting take on the Imp Knights!
FYI: In the comic, Antares Draco's former master was an Iktotchi, so I guess the Legacy Empire is okay with alien serving in their ranks...

Thanks. I actually found that in Wookieepedia after I posted these pics. I'll try to do more research before I do a project like this again.
-
Didn't want you to think I was criticizing anything in your work in my last post; your comment on aliens among the Imps made me think of that though...
-
wow JM
you are very busy lately
that's a nice group photo of your Imp. Knights
-

No, no nothing like that. I was just saying that I didn't modify my posting when I found Draco's master. I do appreciate that you did know something and that you shared that info with me. Thanks.
-
Why don't Jan and Kyle get married? Anyway, here's Jan Ors.
-
Cool stuff.
-
looking good :D
-
More Republic Commando!
Dr. Gilamar and Dr. Uthan. According to Karen Traviss' notes of how the RC series could have ended Dr. Gilamar marries Dr. Uthan. I didn't think the Mij Gilamar that came with the EE exclusive looked enough like him as he is described in Wookieepedia. If you look close, you'll see the blue and red streaks in Dr. Uthan's hair. She is dressed for those long walks in the savannas of Kyrimorut, home of the Skirata compound.
This is close to what I would want for a Besany Wennen. I am thinking of a more utilitarian look for her as she is now part of the Skirata Clan on Mandalore. And of course, gotta do the couple shot with these two.
-
great figures!!!
I think Jan is my fave out of the all...
-
You are busy. A lot of cool stuff to work with for the video! I'll send you a link when it's done.
-
Wow, expect another fp treatment soon. I am so far behind.
-
Nice updates! The good doctors look great as do the Ordo/Bessany figs!

Thanks man. I might have Laseema this weekend. Any ideas for a base for Nyreen Vollen?

Here is my version of an improved Boba Fett figure. Really not much just a repaint of a couple of things. The figure used is the from the Vintage line. I repainted some of the armor since the paint job from the manufacture kind of missed a couple of spots. Imagine the center armor piece, over the sternum, with the paint offset a fraction. Surprise, surprise. The jumpsuit I left alone which is about the same shade as the ESB Fett. I wanted to the wrists to be the color of the ROTJ Fett. Also, I repainted the jet pack to better match the colors depicted in one of the SW encyclopedias. Just think of this Boba Fett with it's color schemes as what he may have worn in between the two movies.
-
Nice job! :)
-
Wow, looks good. I missed this one this morning.
Look for it on the fp soon.
-
very cool fett !!
-
Nice Boba Fett. Well done!!
-
Wonderful looking figures and great use of other figure parts.

Thank you all for the compliments. With all the Mando stuff I've been doing, I felt like I was neglecting the original.

All the best for your project!

Sandies? Is that an Australian thing?

Looks good. On the front page.
Keep em coming.

Nice additions! They look awesome!

if you dont mind, I have an idea for a mando that I`d like to see some one on here try. I was thinking of a mando from millions of years before episode 1 with a kind of samuri theme to the armor. The story that I imagine about is when the people are collonizing the planet and they are fending off the animals and a native tribe of some kind, and then I asume that blasters were still a new weapon and they used projectiles alot.
The reason I`m posting it on here is because I think this is something you could do plus you make a lot of mandos so...
its just a sujestion that I`m giving to see if anyone is up for the challenge, I cant do this kind of thing though; all I do is paint.
-

I like it! Just remember that Mandalorians are from Coruscant and about several millenia ago were driven off by humans. If you look up Mandalorian and Taung on Wookieepedia, you can see that the way there head is shaped that a helmet with some kind of appendage would be used and may mimic the front appendage you sometimes see on a samurai helmet. Hmmmm. Let me see. If I don't do it soon, it would definitely be a summer project. Thanks for the recommendation.
-
AWSOME! Thanks, I`m glad you like the idea
-
what are you using for a background? it looks cool!
-
what are you using for a background? it looks cool!
Years ago, I saw a street artist use spray paint and create something like this. He took a couple of colors or so and sprayed layers on a board (heavy construction paper). Next, he took a couple different ized bowls and placed them upside down over the colors. He then, sprayed black over the whole thing. He kind of blocked the white so that it dripped down on it to create the stars. In between each step he would take a certain paint can, light the spray on fire with a lighter, and held it over the board. He then lifted the bowls and there you got the planets. I actually, tried it a couple of times myself. There are some other affects he did like while the paint was still wet, he'd smear it in a way to create mountain peaks or other things.
The one I used for my background was actually from an old roommate. I had it in storage for years and finally got it out to use for my backgrounds. I will see about showing the whole thing soon, as well as, the ones I did. Maybe I'll do a step by step of the process as a tutorial this summer. hmmm.
-
COOL! ;D
-
Very nice.
Love the red one with his goggles.

very cool customs look forward to a tutorial on the background

Those Mandos ROCK. I love the sword on the red guy!
-
Awesome mandos! I am amazed at the painting detail. I just can't paint that good.
-
Ok. Another Republic Commando Character.
Laseema started out as another slave girl but became an independent and strong individual. The knife she's holding is the one she used to threaten a di'kut that was hit on her when she was a server at the Kragget.
One calm evening (which never seems to happen for Clan Skirata), Fi asked Atin why he picked the shade of blue for his armor. Atin quietly told him that a birth mark of Laseema's was that shade of blue and left it at that.
-
Great stuff you have here Jedi Minstrel! More more more!
-
Nicely done!
-
Love your ever expanding roster of Republic Commando based work! Laseema is great, and goes wonderfully with Atin!
-
These are awesome!
-
Excellent work .
Ron
-
WOWSA!! they look great together!!
-
thank you folks.
jedi_randy, more will come.
DanOfTheDead, the RC novels are just such an inspiration. Last night, I was thinking about what to do next. I realized I do have the figures to add either Commander Levet or Gett and some Republic Commandos that I may make into Yayax Squad. I believe they had grey camouflage. I attempted camos before but wasn't too happy with it.
beige-4, I havn't heard "Wowsa" in quite a while. Thanks.

Here's a teaser: Yayax Squad from the Republic Commando novels. More pics to come.
-
Ohhhhh...I'm liking the Yayax Squad sneak peek!! :D
-
sweet sneak peek, JM!
-
Pretty sweet squad you have there. Straight from the pages to action figure form, very nice! Big fan of the novels and these figs.
-
Nice job!
-
Oh yeah, I am already envisioning the fp tomorrow!
-
Nice new paint apps; these guys look great!
-
Well, here are individual shots of Yayax Squad. Their color scheme was mentioned in the novels as being in a dazzle camouflage. When I looked it up, I saw that during WWII, this was used for many ships. I also, read in Wookieepedia that Cov fell in love with Ruusan Skirata. The next three photos are Dev, Jind, and Yover respectively.
-
Another refugee to Clan Skirata, Commander Levet. He wanted to learn to farm and here he is all decked out to attempt it.
-
Looking good mate and the dazzle camo is great.

Oh yeah, on the front page with this great update. JM you are sure making me wish we could get a finale to this Novel Series. It makes me wonder if Karen herself has perhaps noticed your great work and maybe one day will finish this!
-
Well done here JM! :D
-
Looking good mate and the dazzle camo is great.
Ron
Thanks Ron. I had a few ideas going in but I like how these came out. I may try again with another set, whether Commandos or regular Troopers.
-
Are these repainted Deltas, or did you start with the comic pack commando? Either way, they look clean and crisp! Very well done!

Comic pack. I wish they would issue these out individually or some other kind of set up. Just a simple Republic Commando pack. Imagine a Republic Commando squad that came with a ship or some kind of speeder.

Love that clone-turned-farmer concept; is this the same character from the CW episode "The Deserter"?

I hate to say that I never watch the CW series. I may in the summer. I'm actually going to repaint him or Laseema as I forgot that she has the same color scheme. I might just add stripe or something to his shirt. What do you think, red and mustard color stripes?
-
I like the Yayax Squad. Well done.
-
Commander Levet looks really cool in his farmer outfit
well done

Dansoor Lei Nuumren was a Duros mercenary/bounty hunter during the Galactic Civil War. He took most jobs. The only ones he didn't take were Imperial/Rebel political jobs. He felt that it would look as if he was taking sides which could make him a target. Unknown to many he actually was a spy for the Rebellion. He did it for his father who was killed by the Empire in attempting to quell a political rally against the Empire. His father just happened to be in the area getting a meal from a food cart. Dansoor was visiting his father after his first year at the university. He was making fun of his father's "diet" when a laser went through him.
-
I like him alot!! :D

Here're a couple of figures that may be a little reminiscent of the American Civil War.
Getty V broke into their own civil war at the beginning of the Galactic Civil War. Both sides were debating which side to take in the war. This incited riots which turned into armed combat. Before the war could escalate any further, the Empire in it's great wisdom, attacks an outpost to weaken the opposition. They unknowingly attacked the wrong side, the Pro-Imperials. The Freedom's Run, those in support of the Rebellion, heard about the death and destruction and sent aid with almost no opposition. Both sides came to terms as they decided to openly defy the Empire.
Eesamu began fighting for the Pro-Imperials. Although he was from the Kyuzo colony on Getty V, he was thankful for the Empire. They aided his family and friends in establishing this colony at the end of the Clone Wars. His family was at the outpost while he was training with the local military unit.
Trav Dorex was an assistant manager at his family's manufacturing firm when he decided to join the local military unit. Because of his college degree and work experience, he moved through the ranks quickly. At the onset of the Getty War, he deserted to join his family knowing they had Rebel leanings. He was given the rank of major and was one of the officers that convinced their commanding officer to aid the Pro-Imperials.
Eesamu served under Dorex with the Imperials and was happy to be under Dorex's command again.

Great work. I like Dansoor Lei Nuumren the Duros mercenary/bounty hunter.
-
Very cool! I love the color combos on the Duros! You just can't go wrong with that Embo gear on any figure. The next 2 are very remniscant of the Civil war, cool looks on them as well.
-
Those Civil War figures are great. Really like the Duros a lot too!
-
Hey thats pretty daggone imaginative. On the front page. I love the Confederate Gear!
-
Haha, awesome, the one in red looks more like Burt Gummer from the Tremors movies. ;D
-
I love the Confederate Gear!
same with me, its a fantastic idea!!
-
I have to apologize for my front page story, it seems I don't know my Union from my Johnny Rebs. Minstrel I have fixed my error!
It is still an awesome idea though.
-
Cool choices of parts and i love the back stories. DH
-
Tamer,
Thanks. I am liking the idea of using historical events in SW. Maybe I'll use WWII, The Roman Empire, or maybe the Civil Rights Movement. Part of the inspiration to use the Civil War and the common enemy thing comes from Harry Harrison's "Star and Stripes" trilogy. In his alternate history, the British accidently attack a Confederate port city.

Love the crossover ideas! These guys are just Star Warsy enough, but still clearly the era you're shooting for.
Do you plan on doing more Civil War-era figs in the future, or will you be switching back and forth?
As a social studies/history teacher myself, I'd love to see you tackle the Roman Empire as your next venture!

Hey! I teach high school music. Maybe I'll do a Clone Trooper marching band. Been wanting to. Have an ARC be the drum major.
-
I am a great fan of such crossovers, personally I would very much like to see a Star Wars-WW2 thingy!
-
Well, the Civil War dudes were meant to be part of the contest Mercuryartstudios is doing at Echo Base. Wish me luck.
-
Good luck ;D

The Luke Skywalker in Imperial officer outfit from the Luke & Deena comic pack a few years back---with Admiral Ackbar's wand/baton---would serve well as the conductor! Do you hve enough Umpass Stay drums from Jabba's palace on hand? :D

And now, another addition to Clan Skirata.
Nyreen Vollen was a freighter pilot that threw in her lot with Clan Skirata and helping clones and Jedi. The Nulls were hoping that she would become Kal's wife. According to Karen Traviss' notes about the possible ending for the final book of Republic Commando that was never published, Ny and Kal do marry.

Really nice man!

Really nice! ;D

This is a Jedi from the Old Republic, Yen Stone. Stone began her training around 3,000 years BBY. It was a time of prosperity for the Republic at the same time, Jedi were recruited during the Cold War era. In hopes of strengthening this "peace time" army, Stone trained in other skills besides her basic Jedi abilities. Stone became an ace pilot during skirmishes against pirates. She also, had jungle, desert, and water training with the Aldaraanian Guard.

This is for Trandoshanslaver1138. He asked that I create a Mandalorian of ancient times. There was to be a samurai influence, as well.
This is Ro Nin, from a colony of Mandalorians that were trying to survive in the uncharted outer planet of the Outer Rim, Ainu III. This is about 2000 years BBY. They began with peaceful coexistence with a population of other humans on the other side of the planet. Mining rights and land hoarding became an issue and major battles were being fought. In the end the Mandalorians won and adopted the other humans into their culture.
-
Nice one! :D
-
Here's something inspired a little by a an old tale. Guess which one.
Redianish "Red" Sloven during the post-Civil War years and was invited to join the Jedi Order when Luke Skywalker came upon when visiting Draco IV. She was still young but had heard all about the heroic deeds of Luke and the Rebellion. Now she's doing heroic deeds all across the galaxy.
Gre-Si "Wolf" Erok ran with the mercenary group, Nova Blade (a mini bio is on pg 39), and when they left Zinj's group they took on jobs for the Republic. Wolf left the mercs when he helped "Red" in a situation and decided it wasn't too bad a gig to do. Helping others for free. Go figure.
-

Simple and sweet; I love that Brainiac head sculpt...wish I picked up more than the one I have!
Nice work!

oh, wow...when you said to check out your RC customs, I didn't expect this! I really love how you made pretty much everyone from Clan Skirata :D That's something on a scale I could never achieve. And I really like the Skirata head that you used, where's it from?
-
