Belgium has about 10.5 million inhabitants and is a democracy
Our current king is King Albert II

As some of you know, I live in Belgium, which in my eyes is a wonderful but very underrated country.
There are alot of rumours going on about Belgium, that it would be a gangsters paradise, a terrorist shelter, a drug shipment country,... but many people haven't seen the beauties of Belgium yet.
I'm going to show you some examples:

The atomium in Brussels

This is the Belgian part of the World Exhibition. It can be compared with the Eiffel tower in France or the Tower of Pisa in Italy

Manneke Pis

An artwork of a small boy peeing.

The Lion of Waterloo

A statue to honor the defeat of Napoleon in Waterloo

Belgium is also full of cycling routes

There's also a very well known actor who's actually Belgian, his name is Jean-Claude Vandamme

Belgium is also known for:
Fries or Chips

Belgian Chocolate

Waffles

and ofcourse Beer (Stella Artois is propably the best known Belgian Beer)

And to top this off, I have found a very nice clip of someone showing the beauties of Belgium

And here I also have some pictures of my own Town, Deinze.
Deinze isn't known for many things, but the president of the IOC (International Olympic Committee), Jacques Rogge, was born in Deinze
Deinze was first mentioned around the year 800

I forgot to mention that the people in the first years of the church loved the church so much that they choose to rebuild the church 3 times after vikings had put it on fire 3 times.

I do like Belgium alot and I like where I live now, but I feel the urge to go to the US when i'm done with school. The only problem is to find a way to get a green card other than that annual lottery. I don't think it'll be easy to find a job when I'm not living in the US yet.

Nice shots!  I find it odd that you guys have a "lottery" for U.S. Green Cards...  Anyway, I hope you are able to make your dreams come true, and move to the U.S.

Nice shots!  I find it odd that you guys have a "lottery" for U.S. Green Cards...  Anyway, I hope you are able to make your dreams come true, and move to the U.S.
Actually it is an official US migration plan for countries all over the world
You join the Green Card- or Diversity Lottery and then you have a chance of winning one of the 50.000 green cards that the US gives to people who joined all over the world.
Some countries can't participate, because a country should only get 50.000 green cards over 5 years, if the exceed that number, they can't participate in the next Lottery.

The only other options to possibly migrate to the US is to invest in ur own business you want to start on the US, but the amount of money you need for that is between 100.000 and 500.000 dollars, which isn't really managable in my case tbh :p
Another possibility is to find a partner in the US and marry her (or him if you are gay,bi or female) and then you can instantly get the permanent resident status in the us.
Then the last posibility is if you get a job in the country you're currently living (in my case, Belgium) and they send you to the US to work in one of their other offices over there.

So it ain't too easy to go live in the US :p
My best shot is propably the green card lottery, and according to the winning percentages, I have about 2.5% chance on winning a Green card with the lottery, but that'll be for in a year of 5, when I've actually earned some cash :p
