Title: YVH-1 (buil a droid)
Post by: FialaFernbrugg on December 29, 2009, 08:38:38 AM
Hey guys, this is my first figure review. I hope you like it.

YVH-1
This is a build a droid figure from wave 11 and wave 11.5 of the Legacy Collection. You need six figures to complete this droid. I used the Utai, the Stormtrooper, Plo Koon, Agen Kolar, Jeremoch Colton and the concept IG-88 to build this guy.

story:
The Yuuzhan Vong Hunter One combat droid, or YVH 1, was a battle droid developed by Tendrando Arms as a means to effectively combat Yuuzhan Vong warriors. Nearly two meters tall, the YVH 1 droid was built on a reinforced humanoid-type skeleton and protected with layered, self-healing black-gray laminanium armor that resembled the voduun crab armor used by Yuuzhan Vong warriors. The skull-like head, glowing red photoreceptors, and external circuitry furthered the Vong-like appearance of the droid, which earned them the moniker "Yuuzhandroids".

articulation:
*swivel neck
*swivel shoulders
*ball-hinged elbows
*swivel wrists
*ball-hinged torso
*swivel hips
*ball-hinged knees
*ball-hinged ankles

so pretty good articulation, only the swivel neck should be changed to a ball-jointed neck.

accessories:
The figure comes with a brand-new blaster pistol

per:
It is a very interesting figure. The detailing is great and for EU fans an absolute must.

versus:
He can't hold his blaster very good

FF, that was an excellent review!  I'd love a fleet of these bad boys.  Too bad Hasbro won't release the BADs in a boxed set or something.

Great review, Fila! I still haven't found half of the figures needed to put this one together yet. Looks like front page material to me.

Sweet, look for this one to show up in our front page review section and later our archives. Excellent review. I wondered why this had such a terminator look to it. It would need to in order to take down a Vong.

you guys should look up some of the concept art of the hunter killer series of droids, some of them look dead up like a star wars version of a terminator endoskeleton.

I would love to see more crossover type things like this. I don't mind the Terminator look at all. It would have to look menacing to take on a Vong. I guess thats why I like IMPS so much, seeing the Aliens and Predators in there with Fett was priceless imo.
