Title: Goldleaderone's Youtube Channel
Post by: Goldleaderone on November 30, 2009, 10:29:05 AM
Hey guys, figured I'd post my youtube account here, as many others are doing it. You will find reviews on stuff from Episodes 4-6 and its EU. Very rarely I do anything from the Prequel Trilogy. I also do collection updates from time to time, as well as "Adventures of a Star Wars Fan" videos.

Thanks again guys.

Got more good news. Today I got an email, I've been chosen for Youtube Partner! Basically in short, I can get paid for my videos, I think they call it "revenue sharing" or something. I'm so happy, I've been trying to become partner for a long time now.

Also, I will be posting a quick skit on my channel trying to promote the Imperial Shipyards. It will be a comedy skit, in the form of a commercial of some sort. Keep a look out for it in the next week or so. I already have it written out, it's just a matter of when I can actually film it.

Thanks guys. I don't think its official yet because I can't edit my channel like Jay or Steve can. When I go to my account, I don't have the "branding options" button. I'll probably know in the next day or so.

Anyway, I finished the skit I wanted to do that should help promote this site and get more people to join. Here's the link, enjoy!

*Dusts off thread*

I know it's been a while since I've been here or uploaded any videos. I have been active here, just been a lurker really. Working 2 jobs was draining me. The job itself wasn't bad, it was just the travel. I also ended up getting a girlfriend, although we aren't together now. Then in January I lost my second job due to cutbacks. I am in the process of looking for another job, hopefully leading to full time.

As for the videos my interest started fading, even though I do like making them. The problem is what I am interested in (Action Fleets, pilots) I'm very limited into what I collect. I am also not going to buy something just so I have something to review. Being laid off and not having that extra paycheck made me realize this. The other issue now is that google and youtube joined up, or something like that. I have 2 youtube accounts, my personal one and my Star Wars review one. I used my personal email with my personal youtube page, and my yahoo email (backup) with the Star Wars channel. Now that its google/youtube, I can't log-in to my Star Wars channel. I'm trying to figure out how to fix this, but until I do I'm locked out of my own account. Plus with the switch over I hate it, I find it very hard to follow my subscribers.

Just wanted to post an update. I'm alive lol.

GREAT NEWS!

I finally got back into my account after being locked out for so long. What a hassle that was. This whole google/youtube partner ship is horrendous. However I am able to upload videos longer then 15 minutes and have custom thumbnail images for my videos. Those I am excited for. I'll try to post a video tomorrow saying I'm back and explaining my absence.

* I tried to embed the video and it didn't work for me. I followed the directions and even watched the how-to video. When I previewed it, the [ html] and [ /html] tags (without spaces) didn't show, but the embed code was still there. Any ideas?

Dave, you have to get rid of the spaces. I only included them so they would post. Otherwise you would be able to see em.

Here is an example of what your code should look like:

Title: Re: Goldleaderone's Youtube Channel
Post by: Goldleaderone on January 25, 2016, 03:38:55 PM
That's the weird part, I put the html tags in the brackets with no spaces. I clicked preview and it appeared just like in the above post, but the only thing missing was the html tags in the brackets.

works fine Dave. Now if you do a preview all it shows is blank space, but when you post it seems to work fine.

You can hit the quote mark on my post with your video and you can see the code, tagged just like the screen snip from yesterday. I guess folks will just have to get used to the code and how to use it.
Title: Re: Goldleaderone's Youtube Channel
Post by: Goldleaderone on January 26, 2016, 09:41:19 AM
That's why I was worrying, I thought I did something wrong. All I did was preview it. Turns out I had to click submit ha. Oops lol.

New video up! A few quick fixes on some of the design flaws on Poe's black X-Wing.

* Shawn I tried again with that html code. I know 100% I'm doing it correctly. I even quoted your post with the video, I tried copying and pasting it and I'm still getting the same results with the html brackets disappearing, both when I preview and post it. It's just frustrating, I've attached pictures before and with videos its the same basically but its just not working. I'm using Firefox, I tried in Google Chrome and had the same issue.

Two of my friends recently started a podcast and on Thursday, August 4th was a topic on Star Wars. Me and a few friends talked about what Star Wars means to us, what we thought of TFA and where we see it going forward. I was emailed the podcast afterwards and put it on my youtube page for anyone interested in viewing. It is an hour long but we thought it was a great discussion.

No video just audio.

I think a future podcast is going to be the idea of collecting. Usually they try to keep the podcasts 45 minutes in length but we had 5 people for the Star Wars podcast. There was no way we were getting Star Wars done in 45 minutes lol, we could have gone 2 hours if we wanted to.

Oh I know how time just gets away when you get to talking about Star Wars! It would be cool to see video. Google Hangouts is pretty user friendly for that. Not sure how many it will let you get on there at a time though.

I like it! Love the still image you used to showcase it too. Off to share. I so remember that music from the rogue one video game. I remember adding a 3D Card to my computer and about passing out from potentially doing it myself and ruining my brand new sony computer which back then was way more than I could afford. I got it working and what a cool game. Thanks for bringing back some great memories. Off to share.

Cool vid, man. God Wal-Mart is pathetic. Lol. Back in the POTF2 days they had thousands of figures, and Star Wars stuff. Now it's just...pathetic. but yeah great video, and finds.
