Title: 2009 Legacy Build a Droid R3-M3
Post by: Clonehead on November 26, 2009, 01:06:21 PM
Everybody loves the BAD pack-ins in the Legacy figure packages and I just got together an R3-M3 figure as featured in A New Hope. Comprised of 5 different parts coming from 4 different figures, this astromech is a fine example of the quality and variety available in these BAD droids. Featuring poseable side legs,a spinning clear dome head, wheels on the bottom of his feet, and clean paint apps, this one would fit in with any ones astromech collection. My only wishes are that the side legs were made of a harder plastic that wouldnt turn slightly bendy and that the clear dome would have been more clear so that the detail on top of the torso could more easily be seen.

The parts to make your own R3-M3 come packed in these figures.

# Luke Skywalker (includes R3-M3's head & middle leg)
# Princess Leia (includes R3-M3's body)
# Ewoks (includes R3-M3's left leg)
# Nien Nunb (B-Wing Pilot) (includes R3-M3's right leg)
# Biker Scout (includes R3-M3's right leg)
# Obi-Wan Kenobi (includes R3-M3's left leg)
# Anakin Skywalker (includes R3-M3's head & middle leg)
# Jango Fett (includes R3-M3's body)
# Ugnaught (includes R3-M3's body)
# Sucalami Trooper (includes R3-M3's head & middle leg)

I think you have his legs reversed, Clint...don;t the hoses on the feet go towards the front?

Nice,  I appreciate the charting of what figure has what part,  I am in the process of putting this one together and it helps.

Your right, doc. Too late to fix it now as this one is headed for Germany.

No Problem, Wayne. I double checked my list with the one on RS and noticed that theirs was missing the S trooper whose name I still can't spell without looking.

Yeah, I agree with you, Wattoh, that droid is ugly as sin. The only reason I would like him is that he is in two scenes with obi-wan on the death star in ANH (I just watched it today and was like OH THAT'S THE UGLY BUILD-A-DROID!)

I like these when I get them, but they are hardly incentive to buy an entire wave of figs.

At least to me, I've seen lots of people at wally world buy a terrible fig just to get a leg, lol.

SW collectors just crack me up.
