These are Pictures of my custom A-Wing based on the Titanium series vehicle its not exact but my version. Hope you guys enjoy.
-
Very nice, I did one of these myself a few years ago. I really like the darker paint and the blue and white on these.
-
Thank you, I tried to make it mine yet use the Titanium as a base.
-
That A-wing looks really awesome! Makes me want to re-paint my green Action Fleet one in that scheme. Definitely great job on the paint though, looks as professional as a new one! (probably better, considering the crap Hasbro sometimes gives us, haha)

Thank you, I hand painted this one took a long time to get it looking like it does wish I would have had an airbrush.
-
YES mcquarrie concept A-wing! love that color scheme... did you know that originally this was the colors that were going to be used but they had to be redesigned as the ship model wouldn't work against a blue screen! funny what technical limitations will do to concepts in a sci-fi film...
great work. This is something I've been meaning to do with an action fleet a-wing for a very long time, just havn't had one to do it with.
-
Thank you guys for your kind words here are some of my custom figures the first is TK-622 from the Empire Comic book series. He is a simple custom I added the ammo pouch he does not have it in the comic but I felt by the way he was portrayed he should have one
-
and this is my Trandoshan Merc. he s based losely on the ones in the Republic Commando Game
-
Sweet A-Wing. I love that blue ship Wayne made and this puts me in the same sort of mind. I sure wish someone would make a packaged one so I could buy it! Nice Transdoshan Merc too. Reminds me of the ones I wasted in the RC game. Man, I wish I had that game back. I let someone borrow it and now I have lost contact with em. Oh well. Nice work Lee.
-
Thank you for the kind words, I am trying to dig out all my figs to get pics of them so there will be more
-
awesome lee dammit! i missed you in the chatroom again!
-
Nice Stormie, I love the Trandoshan, You don't see enough of these guys redone,
-
some nice customs mate the A-wing as been my fav star fighter since... forever and whenever i get in my car i think its an Awing and zipp around town
hope to see more outstanding work
-
LOVE that Trando Merc!! I have one on my project-list - but he'll be a dead one. I plan to replicate the scene from the RC book where Niner caps a Trando outside Teklet to snatch his speeder-bike.
-
Awsome a wing, Lee! I love that merc figure also.
Great stuff man!
-
Again thank you guys for the support, if I could muster the energy to complete my TIE Crawlers you guys will be happy, almost done

I was having some trouble with your videos loading last night though. IDK... might have been my internet conection or something with youtube...
-
I don' t know I have had trouble with facebook & youtube lately, the TIE Crawlers will be done within the next couple weeks and I will post the completed 2 for everyone to see, the 3rd I am making a tutorial on how to make your own step by step, piece by sculpted piece.
-
Here are some pics of my trash compactor it is in the last stages of being completed I need to do the final coats of paint add in some pre-fab junk pieces, and print out my decal the right color lol, I hope you guys enjoy.
-
and some more shots of my Dio
-
and just a few more I like look on looks face priceless lol
-
LOL I meant on Lukes face.
-
And here is my Shadow Gunship it is based losely on the titanium vehicle again I find the paint schemes of that line to be pretty good for the 3 3/4 line. I need to do some touch ups its been in the bottom of my closet for a long time, everybody was doing them at the time and I felt mine was not as complex as everyone else's but here you go, hand painted over I do not remeber the hours lol.
-
finally i get to see it dude its ruddy excellent!
-
Nice shadow gunship, Ds! I love it!
-
well done mate!! mine too was based on the titanium vehicles i used silver instead and added a few more highlites and gave it a bit of weathering look
great to see another shadow gunbship
here's an idea.... maybe HB94 can do an all out shadow gunship photoshop with all our ships in one, now that would be cool!! jays, mine and yours and anyone's i have'nt seen yet in the forums too... many for me to look at lol.... lets get hangerbay'd!!!
-
Man, you've got some sweet custom work here! The gunship is awesome, so is that compactor diorama! What all did you start with (i.e. by hasbro) on the dio, and what all did you make? Also loving the Trando Merc, he definitely belongs in the RC game! Maybe if I ever get around to making my custom Delta Squad, we can get Hangarbay to photoshop them in a battle or something!
-
holy crap... I completely missed that trash compactor dio. That is top notch. I love it.

When it came to the Trash Compactor the only thing Hasbro is the figures and the base they are standing in, the rest is completely made from scratch hours of work, paid off as it is one of my favorite pieces. that would be a great fight scene between the merchs and my trando Merc
-
Nice job on that Shadow Gunship! I'm itching to do some customizing of some bigger ships, but I'm trying not to do them on certain ships...
...does anyone have a spare republic transport they're looking to get rid of?
-
republic transport? do you mean a LAAT(gunship)?
-
I really fancy doing something with the old Rebel transport...I was thinking about sticking an outrigger cockpit on the side kind of Falconise it a bit.
-
awsome job on the costums
-
Thank you, I have posted some pics of my Diorama Accessories in the Dioramas thread.
-

that'd be interesting hb... any chance you could use your photoshop majic to give us a prototype image? I'd love to see how you would place that and all... I saw a few old empty rebel transport shells on e-bay a while back... you guys could probably get the basic parts from e-bay realy cheap for customs of it... you wouldn't need all the little greeblies that came inside it (not that there was much detail in the inside of the original!)
-
Great Gunship!!! I have a soft spot for gunships =)
-
Great looking Gunship DS. I love the Garbage Compacter dio, awesome job on that one.
-
And here are my custom Sandies I have been working on. And my Dewback
-
A few more
-
wicked sandies lee!
-
And still more lol
-
and still more Sandies
-
And here are all my Sandies mixed in with Hasbro's versions lightly colored
-
woah! nice dio
-
Thanks, I needed a reason to open it and I found one lol,
-
man... the lars familly must have had some major poison vaporator mushroom operation going on to get that many troopers to pay a visit!
love the dewback, I have to say I like that POTF version so much better than the new one. I miss my dewy... :(
-
Fantastic work on those sandies, and that shadow gunship and trash compactor dio are crazy cool.
Can't wait to see those TIE crawlers.
-
Owen was a bad man lol, thanks guys I worke hard on each one so the paints would be diffrent and not like hasbro same old dirt here and there I am on the fence on the dewback have to hold the other one in my hand first to know for sure. I will more than likely get them if I do my dewbacks are headed for a nice home across the pond.
-
Those are some lovely dirty sandies you have there, Lee. I front paged the removable helmet one.
I'm like you and like my dewback but will probably pick up the new one.
-
Great looking squad you have there. Nice job on the weathering.
-
Awesome!!!!!
Those Sandtroopers are amazing.
-
awesome sandtroopers
-
Hello 110clones and, welcome to the Shipyards!
-
Thanx guys I worked hard on these guys, they look better than the plain old white troopers.
-
heck ya, you can never go wrong with a little weathering.
-
The Sandroopers are fantastic, you've got the weathering spot on, plus it's about time someone posted some "Real" Star Wars figures for a change, bloody clone this, clone that....(no offence W9 or Clone Commander).
DS, I believe I'm getting close to giving you my "special attention", I can see a desert scene fast approaching.....
Really superb, keep em coming!
-
lol yeah hb... its not like our site is called the "republic shipyards!" or "Kamino's test tubes!"
lol.... just kidding. I like the clones but the OTC will always have it's place first in my heart! (ESB ALL THE WAY BABY!)
-
Thank You Jules coming from you that means alot, I am not completely against the clone wars, I like the show but I did not want to have to buy a whole new set of figures who do not go with my movie figures, besides I am Pro Empire that time period is getting bashed because people the stormtroopers and vehicles are not as good as the clones and there vehicles, honestly the Empire is the next step so that means everything is better than it was in order to progress, all the battallions still would exsist just in diffrent forms so the 212th, 41st Elite, 442nd, all would be in the Empire just Diffrent armor and commanders.
-
I think the main reason that I got into clones is all of the diversity available there. I don't usually like to mess with the otc stuff as it is too dear to my heart in a sense that i don't really want to modify it. Sure, I could dirty up a sandtrooper "I have before" or paint up a lando but I am drawn to the clones. I love seeing the otc stuff and appreciate all of the efforts to replicate it. I have plans for OTC projects but haven't gotten around to em, mostly.
Get off my Clones, Spud! LOL, You Joe fanatic, you.
-
I do not mean any disrespect to the Clone fanatics around here, I am simply saying that the Empire has the same diverse groups just not that many have been written about because of the way the movies came out now with what we know about the clones we can then intergrate that into the Imperial Military, I happen to like Commander Kellar alot But I grew up with the OTC and he Empire and rebellion I have spent years of studying vehicles, weapons and the like I am so tuned into the Empire and rebellion.
In short I love the clones but not the animated figures just to much to have to contend with, so I leave the Clone Wars toys to all my fellow yarders while I swope in and grab up th OTC lol.
-
Don't grab em all, Lee. There's not enough legacy style stuff to go around as it is.
-
hey! i love the original trilogy but the clone wars just fasinates me its the mechenism by which the empire was created, like clonehead i love the diversity of the clone .but the original trilogy has a special place in my heart and i agree ESB rocks !
-
I waited my whole life to see and find out what happened during the Clone Wars, so to me this is all great.
Since the first mention of it in Ep IV I wondered and waited and imagined... and now its wierd animated style stuff.
The comics and stories are great, and now the figs and toys are growing on me, but I expected more Legacy style stuff.
But I always wanted to know about this Era.
-
well drs, you know what it's all about. Merchandising, merchandising, merchandising. Bottom line is that lucas AND hasbro is going to milk the animated cash cow untill it's so dehydrated it bursts into dust....
but... the ships are nicely interchangeable between animated and legacy so thats a pluss. Most of the animated figure's accessories are interchangeable so... in theory you could make legacy style versions of all the animated characters fairly simply...
-
And therein lies the Great Scheme...
>:D
-
and a very evil one at that, >:D
-
Up next I have my Custom Astro he was part of a Imperial Detachment that was ambushed by rebel commandos and the poor guy got blasted, the pics the flash took away alot of the detail I hope you guys enjoy.
-
very cool. If I had the extra droids I'd do some astromech customs...
-
Glad you like him, I have a few more astro's I can tinker with
-
awesome looking astro Lee how many do you have now?
-
Wow, that one had a tough day of it. Nice Lee!
-
DS, sorry Dude, I just caught up with your customs....I LURVE the Sandtroopers they are my cup of Tea (as we say here in England). There simply are not enough Imperial customs and yours really caught my eye.
As for the Astromech, take it outside and take a couple of images without using the flash, I'd love to see some better images as I am interested to see the battle damage in more detail.
Jules
-
Nice Astromech battle damage. Very cool I have a broken leg R2 I had not thought about trying something like this.
-
Thanks guys I will do that Jules been really bad weather the last couple days cloudy and rainy today was decent so if tomarrow is a good day I will go out and get some pics and post them
-
These are some great customs.
-
Thank you I am always making something, I have began construction on my TIE Maulers again soon they shall be complete
-
My latest Custom Is Corporal Tac Lebal a Rebel Comando. He is an Idea I have been tossing around for awhile and decided to go ahead and do him.
Name: Tac Lebal
Species: Rodian
Affiliation: Alliance
Height: 1.8 Meters
Weapon(s) Of Choice: Flash Grenades, Blaster Rifle, Vi-bro Blade
Tac Lebal has been in countless battles with the Empire for over 12 years he is a battle ready soldier, he leads his men into battle using Gurrilla tactics and unorthodox manuvers. He has been awarder the Rodian Hunters Medallion, and the Corellian Medal Of Honor. Tac has been wounded 7 times and been a P.O.W. twice.
-
I love that rodian rebel, Lee! That's an avenue that would be less explored as far as figure customs go but I can see that more alien rebels in fatigues that arn't x-wing pilot in origin are needed. This is really cool.
-
Nice work on the Rodian, Lee. Love all the details on this gent.
-
Thanks Clint as I am A OTC guy this was a Idea I have had floating around, there are more to come I am making the back stories and getting the proper look for the characters,
-
Thank you I have been tosing him around for months and said why not, I have more to come in the next few days if I have the energy to get them done,.
-
Good one, we need more alien rebels period. You made the front page!
-
I love Rodians, they're one of my favorite alien species in the SW mythos, so I love seeing custom versions, especially uniformed variations of them.
-
Nice Rebel Rodian. I love seeing different rebel aliens.
-
Awesome Lee! I love using alien species for different customs. There are so many possibilities out there!
-
Thanks guys I did not know if he would go over well guess he passed lol, I have another Rodian on the way then a few little surprises thrown in the mix, have some simple repaints I have done I could show I guess those count.
-
excellent trash compactor dio
I love it
-
Love the A-Wing! It looks like it should be on store shelves!
-
