Title: 3.75" (1/18) Scale Republic AT-UT Project (Upcoming)

Does anyone know if a 3D printed version (or otherwise) of the AT-UT has ever been attempted before in 1/18 (3.75" scale)? I've seen several vehicles built this way such as the Marauder from Bad Batch and numerous others. I haven't been able to find anything though besides one for a tabletop miniatures version.

I've not seen anything like that.

Same here.
3D printing the UT-AT would be smart, but probably even more work than a scratch build.
This vehicle is on my to-do list, too.

Here are a couple renders I found:

I hope you can find a way to print them. Hobbycreations has built the AT-OT from scratch with cardboard.

Here's another channel that I just discovered while searching for your request.
He seems to be good at scratch builds.

Good luck & fun with this project! It'll be epic if you tackle it, RC!

This sure looks like a fun project to me.

Starchaser,

I might be treading new ground I guess. Time to build.

DM,

Thank you for the links and advice. I do think this is a project I want to tackle for sure. I know it will constitute astronomical amounts of work and probably take large amounts of time no matter the process.

I've been talking to someone on a custom ship building group on FB that specializes on custom builds. He was wanting somewhere around $275 for a 3d custom digital file build, then around $200-300 for a printed copy of the AT-UT in physical format using resin/filament printing.

If that gets too expensive, I could also try to make paper templates and fabricate this beast using polystyrene sheets, tubes, etc.

Evergreen modeling makes all kinds of polystyrene materials that could be used to fabricate this. Biggest issue would be the measurements and forming templates to trace onto the materials.

Tamer,

I think that will be the goal going forward. I just have to figure out the details...
