I'd say that has to be a clone of our little green friend. Or that someone wants to clone him. As to what ends? I am unsure. You know what's interesting, though? Perhaps the Mandalorian will take him as his own? Because he was is a foundling. And so is this child. Mando'ade culture accepts outsiders if they are raised Mandalorian.

I agree with Mr.Black! Your eye for the smallest details is amazing! Well, if this guy is really a member of a possible new cloning program/facility that might be indeed a hint at why they look for Yoda's species.
And I also hope the Mandalorian takes IG-11 with him to repair all damaged parts. They made a good team! You guys might find out with today's 2nd Epsiode of this awesome show so far!

In love with this show right now. Especially EP2 with the jawas. I was waiting forever to finally in my life see the sandcrawler in action. Soo action packed. The mando really got mess up in this one. When he disintegrated the jawas it was incredible... That whole fight/chase was!!!! Where the heck has this been!!! Lucas was stupid to not use this and launch his own streaming channel in the early 2000's he could've gotten even Hasbro to co-produce and/or make individual network deals for TV! 😵 I know he tried to build his own studio before the sale and failed/gave up... But even if he would've done like say the GREEN BAY PACKERS and offered stock to fan's he could've actually done it all!

I also like we are getting new beasts each episode. Hasbro has got to be licking their lips with the new AFs, beasts, ships, etc. they can now make. Disney is gonna make billions just with this new show.

While it could've been more story focused the episode is intense, especially that ending when ALL the Mando's fly in and just lay waste to everything. I wasn't expecting that... But they finally did it. I would've had "joy-Adrenaline -seizures" as a child. This one truly was a "STAR WAR"

This show is everything I've wanted and more. The Clan aspects to the Mandalorian is perfect and everything depicted in the EU.

Frankly speaking, and anyone that has known me here for years knows in what regard I make the following comments, this has been the only thing that ranks with the OT since the OT. TESB has been my favorite, notice the semi past tense. This episode has been the best post anything since the original trilogy films.
I have liked David Filoni with what he has done, but today he has shown that he is and has always been one of us. Period. Jon too. Sign me up for anything Deborah Chow does too from this point on. I went and rewatched this three times while writing this. My little girl now wants to cosplay the Mando Armourer. Done.
I rank the footage of the fight scene that starts around 29.02 as the best film we have seen since ROTJ. Rogue One, which I really, really liked isn't even close to this in my opinion. I know we, as a fandom, have been less than impressed (outside of the awesome Clones) of anything post OT other than glimmers here and there of what our favorite verse can be. The current films have left a lot of us wanting more. This series is giving us what we have wanted for years. Hands down period. End. Set. Match. Whatever you want to call it. I might just be in the euphoria of this latest episode, but like I said, I have been around here for years and haven't been this excited for Star Wars since I was a kid and watched The Empire Strikes Back and saw that Walker roll across the screen.
Hats off to Disney, Lucasfilm, the director and producers I noted above. You had us hooked with the first two episodes, but this one has us all going APE. I find it poignant that SID was saying we were all going to go ape cause I started saying that well before I logged in here and saw those Mandos rocketing into action.
Can you imagine when we see Boba Fett show up? I mean the timeline is right for it. I can't even imagine where we go from here. And giving us a bit by bit explanation of Mando lore from each episode. Priceless.

I watched the first episode with no expectations, but after seeing the trailers I did actually have a little hope! And the hope was not disappointed! Now, reading you guys being so excited about both following episodes is all I need to know and maybe even more valuable than watching it myself.
I know the first episode and I really like what I saw (scrubbed back three times).
And hearing the positive echo accross the web is pure cure for the soul after all the misery of the Sequel Trilogy. Love Rogue One except for a few moments, SOLO made me shake my head a little too often, but now the hype is real! The air is on fire after the third episode and this is all I need to know and also all DISNEY and Lucasfilm should care about. Making the audience happy rather than pushing any agendas or ideals.
Thank you so much for sharing your opinions gentlemen! I'm looking forward to what's to come! And I also think it's very plausible that Boba Fett returns to the set!

LOVE IT!! Such a great series, and I'm not even a fan of Fett. This is the Star Wars I was waiting for. Cool main character, that has his own flaws and makes believable mistakes, an excellent story and script so far, and really good background characters in all episodes - Kuiil, Jawas, Herzog's Imperial character, IG-11, Carl Weather's character, the other Mandos and of course Baby Yoda (or baby of whatever species Yoda is LOL). Give me The Mandalorian instead of any Sequel they keep trying to make. I have spoken O0

I am two days removed from watching this and am still psyched this is so good. Disney was smart enough to know what they had on their hands too and coupled the launch of their new channel with this series. It is gonna make em billions. I have a feeling even ole George is smiling ear to ear with this series.

Well I knew this episode wouldn't be as good as last, but it did have an AT-ST with red eyes. I liked the episode. It was a good lay low feel, but I would be remiss if I didn't say I am looking forward to reuniting with the covert. That Heavy Mando was missed.

Excellent callbacks to the Tattoine that we know and love. The Cantina from ANH - be it under droid management now! (Ironically). The fact Mando met that bounty Hunter sitting in the same cubby hole as Han/Greedo had been. I knew immediately from that point based on that cameo what would happen later in the episode. I couldn't tell who was at the end in the darkness, I'll have to rewatch it. The sniper scene was fantastic because it echoed a lot of the same flavor as The Hurt Locker sniper scene. 8/10 for this episode.

I liked this latest episode too. Great to see Mos Eisley. I noticed the booth. I too wondered who was at the end. It was nice to see a space battle at the start too. Keep hoping we see more of that and some Imperial ships.

Well we get to see a new episode of a prison breakout. It was pretty good. Man our Mando is one tough hombre. Loved seeing the X-Wings come in at the end. I keep wondering where the covert went. I want to get some more Mando Lore! I also liked the droid doing the piloting in this episode.

I'm absolutely loving this series on D+ but i know i want it on dvd asap. I can't wait for EP7 now that I've seen 6 just a few days ago.

Episode 7 was amazing. Chow's directing leaves me with a lot of hope for the Obi-Wan Kenobi series coming to Disney+.
I really enjoyed this episode a lot. It was the culmination of plot coming together with a perfectly tied bow.
The Imperial Remnant appears to be less fractured in this sector than I originally thought. It was also interesting to see baby Yoda use force choke, which is a dark side power. It would seem he's capable of using both sides of the force.
Man... as for that death, I hope he is avenged. After being a slave for so long, at least he died free.

Chapter 6 was another awesome episode. A very classic tale. I just loved seeing those floating security droids, clearly based on the R1 droid seen in the Jawa sale in ANH. Kinda Dalek-like too :) The crew was a terrific mix of characters, loved that droid and the Devaronian, who appears to be fireproof?! And baby Yoda at the end was just too funny. The look on his little face was priceless!
Minor nit pick: once chaos ensued, all the other prisoners went silent. I'd have expected some sort of riot would start.
Chapter 7 is probably my favourite so far, although it's got to be by the slightest of margins. This whole show is just wonderful. I don't trust IG-11 for one bit, though. I think it has some sort of original setting deep inside its memory core, that will kick it back into bounty hunting mode, the moment the opportunity arises. This chapter has a very Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid vibe to it, with the standoff and all. And what about landing a TIE Fighter! Where did that come from?! What a shame about Kuill, though.... He died honourably, though. I have spoken.

Liked the season a lot. Very affective SW without having any Jedi or lightsabers etc... With all of EP8 it makes a perfect jump off for the second season which is literally going to be LONE WOLF AND CUB.

S2E1
Here're my first impressions:
The Marshall
1. Beginning:
Was great to see the scene from the trailers. Must've been fun to spray-paint the wall at the street. I wonder which graffiti artist(s) they hired to paint it. Was that an image of 3PO there? Very cool after all. After Mando left the arena, I was reminded of Corellia - was it Corellia? Looked similar to some scenes of SOLO.
2. Easter Eggs
So far I was happy to not be reminded of the Sequel Trilogy. Well, fortunately that Zuvio was only a hint. I think it qualifies for an Easter Egg I guess...
3. Old Places
Was great to see more shots of Tatooine. Heavy Knights of the Old Republic vibes here. The close ups on the Banthas and detail on the Womp Rats is just awesome!
4. The Marshall
One can tell that Favreau played a little with fans' predictions here. The Marshall reminded me of Steve Evans, but OnlyOneKenobi shared his thoughts on Instagram and how much he reminded him of FlyGuy from FlyGuydotnet! Haven't thought about that, but actually this is so spot on and the more I think about it, the more I like it. It would've been so epic if they really gave Mr FlyGuy the role...
5. References
Nice to see some references to the Prequels. But did they really have to recycle that turbine?
I can see many more Hasbro toys here. As far as I know they like to recycle existing molds, too!
6. The downs
The only scene that's too disney for me is the second meeting with the mechanic and her Pit Droids in the landing bay. The dialogue is just...ugh. But maybe it's just the silliness of her character that I can't handle.

Thank you for the hint, Dan! I thought they changed the designs for the Womp Rats...the design for the Krayt Dragon however seems to have changed quite a bit! It looked significantly different in the Knights of the Old Republic games.
Watching the latest episode of Mando brought back some serious flashbacks. It's like a combination of The Hobbit, Godzilla, Pacific Rim and Pokémon. I'd prefer if it was a giant Sandworm they have to get rid of. I cannot imagine a Krayt Dragon mowing through the sand like this with the given anatomy. But that's just me...

Lol I was thinking Tremors too. I think they were trying to go with something more like Dune, but it ended up being Tremors. Mando should have just shot sheriff Billy Bob Thornton and taken the armour. This is the way they're going to stretch this story out four seasons. I'm not a big fan of Easter Eggs, or memberberries, whatever you want to call it but It's entertaining though.

Dan thanks for that reference to the womp rats, I kept thinking they looked a little tame to be rats. It was great to see Tuskens, I would have liked to seen their village life a bit more, but I will take it. Something seemed off to me about the banthas though, but I liked seeing them too.
Anyone think those mining bad guys the sheriff first took on looked like Hydra Soldiers? Kept thinking that when he was fighting them off and I agree with Dan it was cool to see the sheriff do some great stuff with Boba's armor. I liked that strobing red light on the upper right of it too. I don't remember it doing that in the movies.
The special effects are just so much better now. I can't wait to hear Boba tell us how he got out of the Sarlaac Pit.
I wanted to see the Child do something to that Krayt Dragon. I definitely agree with the Tremors comments. Of course I just watched the new movie last weekend, but it definitely had those vibes.
It was great seeing that Jawa Sandcrawler and all the great droids too. The folks at Hasbro could make us figures for years just on this one episode. I agree it was just a great start to the season!

Great picture, Tamer! Out of all villains that have been resurrected by Lucasfilm because they died too early (being fan favorites), I feel Boba Fett is the most believable. ROTJ and the entire Trilogy counts to the "harmless & stylish" movies. It's good without exaggerated violence (or maybe exactly BECAUSE of that!). So Boba slipped into the Sarlacc to be digested for centuries...but he wouldn't be a Bounty Hunter if he couldn't escape from that. And I agree that he had WAY too little action and screen time back in 1982/83! Maybe Lucas wanted him to stay a background character. But since he's become a fan favorite in no time, it's obvious that this Marshall get to do all the cool stuff with his armor 38 years later.

I just looked up those Hydra Soldiers since I didn't know them before. Yeah, they look inspired by them in the Mando episode. But I think the Mando Police Officers look even closer to the Hydra Soldiers:

Yeah that surprised me a bit too. Hopefully we aren't done on Tatooine as Boba has to have at least one episode there to meet up with Din and get some of that sorted. It wouldn't surpise me to see him sporting a Tusken Mask based on his attire at the end.

I've got a legit question. How did Mando learn Tusken? They don't particularly accept outsiders. But I guess the shared brutality in cultures between Mandos and Tuskens makes sense.

Mando will eventually encounter the real Boba and ask him to help fight against Moff Gideon, appealing to Boba’s honor as a Mando
However, Boba will prob say he’s not truly Mandalorian but will eventually cave to help DJ

I guess it would have been boring, but he should have just done what the space cops told him to do, they just ended up saving him, and letting him off with a warning anyway. Instead he crashed and now he's flying half a ship. He's at least on the right track to finding a Mandalorian. Going to tatooine ended up being a wild bantha chase. I don't know why he just doesn't go to Mandalor, I mean there's probably at least one Mandalorian on Mandalor.

Boba should still harbor a lasting hate for the Jedi. Were our Mando and boba to meet and greet, Boba could learn of our Mando’s quest for the Jedi and make an excuse to tag along so he could cause mayhem when he got there.
Good stuff, this show could tug me back into the fray.

We don't know the status of Mandalore after the purge. I can't imagine that the Imperials left the planet intact for Mandalorian insurrection. The punishment was probably harsh and swift.

Well, I agree with you. But instead of fan service we watched Dave Filloni do himself a massive favor by playing a space cop. Does the Rebellion have nothing better to do than being the space police after the fall of the Empire? I think the ending was just stupid. There's no way Mando could've repaired his ship after that crash. What would you do after you crashed your ship? The first action. Check from the outside maybe and look if there's anything leaking or even burning? No, Mando sleeps. Are they kidding us?
In my opinion this episode is the weakest of the series so far.
The only element that I liked are the Spiders which I know from the Expanded Universe: Knights of the Old Republic, Comics and the miniatures by WotC. Although the entire chase gave me some serious Harry Potter flashbacks...

That's the thing we don't know what happened after the purge , or really anything. I would think Jedi would still be known to most people. They were in power only 30 years earlier. The armourer was talking about them as if they only existed thousands of years ago.
The fall of the empire caused a power vacuum, if the New Republic doesn't fill it someone else would. The Razor Crest didn't fall that far, maybe 50 feet, he sealed the cockpit, that's all he needed to do to survive the vacuum of space. Ships don't need to be aerodynamic in space, especially at sub-light speeds.
I think a majority of these episodes are weak. I just want to know who baby yoda is and why the remnants want him so badly. I'm going to lose interest, like my bank account.

While I agree that I want to know those things, it is an episodic adventure series after all, it is not meant to delve into all that so quickly; otherwise, the show would be over like that. Baby Yoda is just a huge overarching narrative that will be answered in time. I think to better flesh out the world in which Mando inhabits and just to get more seasons of this show (which will possibly spawn off more shows, I think the slow burn to the finish line is actually gonna benefit the show. They are slowly starting to add in more and more plot threads that I assume are gonna lead to an insane finale (cross your fingers they don't pull a Game of Thrones). While each episode doesn't kill in terms of interesting plots, it is still young show finding its footing. I also assume if they finish up the Baby Yoda plot too quickly, they will lose a large chunk of casual viewers only there for the cute dynamic between the two leads. I pulled this out my ass tho just to get my first post on here after ages of being away from the community. Looking forward to the next episode!

Yeah, this one wasn't my favorite either, but hey its new Star Wars so I am good. I had hoped we would see a meet up with Boba in this one, but guess thats down the road. You gotta wonder what Moff Gideon is up to after using the dark saber to get out of that TIE too. I keep hoping we will see more Empire vehicles. I can't wait to see an AT-AT in this. You know it will happen!

And yes, Bo and company were good. I was left wondering if perhaps she would have been better cast by Charlie Theron. I like ole Starbuck, but she doesn't quite have the class that I think Charlie, and the leader of the Mandos should have. Just me being nit picky, but I made that opinion pretty quick. Kind of like I feel about the new James Bond actor, more thug than a classy act like Sean Connery. Just nit pickin.
Loved the crash into the water, I laughed do hard. Made such work getting to the pad only to loose it at the end. That AT-AT Crane was FTW! Love seeing that shot of another in the background with the ships in the air. One thing I thought was really great in this episode was all the great shipping containers. I bet JDeck was drooling!

I loved hearing about Ahsoka too. I thought that first gal we saw cloaked was her, but watched it again later and saw it was the other gal Mando. I also thought that perhaps there should have been some better explanations of the whole Mando leave your helmet on thing. That seemed to trivial, to make D's clan a bunch of religious zealots kind of.
I guess Boba's appearance was just more of a cameo than anything that is gonna cause them to meet and work together. Daggone, I want to see more of Temura.
Oh well, I liked this episode better than the last one. There were just a few storyline issues I thought were cleared up a little too quickly. And where is the Armourer? I want to know a few of his clan made it out!

Ok, I watched this again (imagine that) and now I am having a hard time with how many times they took their helmets off when they were assaulting the ship. Why in the world would you take your bucket off in the middle of a fight? I get it, they wanted us to know there were two different versions of Mandos now, but some of the helmet off stuff was just forced imo. And then them walking off at the end there going to the cockpit with their buckets in their arms and hands and not their blaster would just be foolish in a combat area in the middle of a fight. Anyone else notice any of that?

I finally watched the newest episode. It was good. The story is finally starting to move along. I liked that they addressed the not taking the helmet off thing. That confused me in the first season. The first season the Mandalorians were made out to be religious zealots. Everytime they said this is the way, I'd roll my eyes. That's his religious sect. I liked seeing the imperial DLT-19 heavy repeater used in action, I don't think we've ever seen it used on screen, at least not in full automatic.

I'm starting to believe that the people behind Mando actually love Star Wars. Also, the actress for Bo voiced her in Clone Wars. Very rarely do we see a voice actor BECOME their character.

And yeah, that poor Razor Crest. No wonder the HasLab version comes apart in so many pieces. That Mon Cal fix job with all the seashore decorations was just hilarious.

True!. I don't think he has force powers, if he did he would have used it in episode 8. Maybe he's trying to get baby Yoda, to extract his powers, or to resurrect Palpy. It has to be something like that. But yeah it's nice to have a competent imperial. Thrawn was alright, but he kept letting the Rebels escape on purpose, and it became obvious plot armor.
I watched it a third time, which I never do. Mostly I wanted to test my new phone. I saw the crates you were talking about Tamer. I could take those orange ones I have and add some small bottle caps to make some variations.

It was good to see Din meet back up with Cara and Greef and get some much needed repairs to the Crest. Man seeing it take out those TIEs at the end was awesome. Seeing how those TIEs took off was awesome too. Man I loved the Imperial Stuff in this one.
Lets just say my favorite was the Imperial Troop Transport taking on those Imperial Speeder Bikes (them coming down that cliff) was just awesome. I am thinking this is the first time we saw an ITT in operation and firing outside of its cameo last year.
It was interesting to see the Imperial Lab and get a little bit of further insight on why they wanted the child. They are definitely doing some genetic experiments there. And seeing the Moff there at the end with what I think were DarkTroopers was awesome!
Ole Din better find that tracker on the Crest. It will also be interesting to see what New Alliance ships and forces we will see. I can so see them showing up to help Din take on the Moff. It sure does seem like no one wants to tell the New Alliance about Gideon though. Just like ole times.
I think they are just doing a bang up job. I even watched the Bo Episode again to show my gals and they love it. My daughter wants to cosplay Bo so I might have to try and figure that out. To the point she about got into a fight with her mom when she said she might try that character and my daughter said there would only be one Bo in this house. I love it!

Yeah I think Din is going to go back to hating droids, witb those dark troopers. We saw them briefly in Rebels, but they were just used for sparring. My speculation is that Din is going to lead Gideon straight to Ahsoka, which will be interresting. This episode strengths my belife Gideon is trying to gain force powers throgh baby Yo. He has the Dark Saber, but without force powers, it might as well be a can opener.

What’d you guys think of the new episode? I originally had written a long post but something glitched out and deleted it all 😔 but all good! I thought the Ahsoka reveal early on made sense even though I was expecting her to pop up kinda how Bo Katan did but it was better this way as it established her character atm a bit better. She seems more ruthless, more willing to take lives in order to pursue justice against the empire and its remnants...Idk kinda like this edge in her returning...I remember her taking death watch heads as a kid so full circle I guess 🤷🏻???. I felt the child now being named Grogo and having some backstory was a nice step in a new direction with Ahsoka giving the pair a new quest to allow the child to decide his own fate, I am curious though how Moff Gideon will play into this new direction. Din seems to have accepted his bond with Grogo and I just thought that was f-ing heartwarming. Still feeling weird bout Grogo as the child’s name but Star Wars is Star Wars. From my childhood with the clone wars to the Mandalorian as a college I think it’s safe to say I’m lucky to be a fan of Star Wars right now with all this new content (minus those dogshit movies sorry sorry I just really hated those new Disney films)

I agree this was another great episode. I love the fan service for Rebels and The Clone Wars. I also thought we got a bit of Dune fan service in that the Bad Guy Troopers in this latest episode looked like Harkonens! I thought Rosaria did good as Ahsoka and liked the fact that she was a bit darker in personality and fighting style. Definitely works for me and makes sense given her progression. I kind of wonder if she didn't want to train Grogo because she feels disjointed in the force herself. Still I liked her character. The only thing that gave me the ole meh feeling was the length of her top lekku which I thought were way short. I mean even the concept art at the end I really like to watch while the credits are rolling showed her lekku being longer on top. Anyone else have lekku issues?
Her asking about Grand Admiral Thrawn was just fantastic and I immediately wondered how he and Moff Gideon are gonna get along or not? I love the fact that established cannon is being used again. So awesome. Still wished we had had the Thrawn Trilogy as the postquels rather than the three movies they churned out. I bet they do him proud too.
So I immediately thought Ezra when they asked who would train little Grogo who I guess is actually older than he seems. I thought Luke, but remember he is really hiding so I don't think it would be him. Then, I had the idea that we never really saw Mace Windu dead and thought how cool it would be to have him back. I mean if they can make a cyborg out of Maul why not Mace still being alive? I know he was dropped out of a very tall window, but he is a powerful Jedi and we never saw him deceased or a force ghost, etc. so I think he is still out there in hiding. What other Jedis would there be? It would also be a cool thing to see a new Jedi or what about Mara Jade? Needless to say I am excited to see who it is.
I still wonder why they bothered showing us Boba Fett on Tatooine only for him to not be used in a real episode? Is the next season gonna see us getting Boba and Bo together and Din as they try to take back Mandalore? And where the heck is the rest of the Covert and the Armourer?
And then I am hearing rumors about Cara Dune and they removed an episode becasue the actress that plays her is getting political and this one was actually gonna be directed by Carl Weathers. So yeah, I am not really thinking this makes a whole lot of sense. Has anyone else read or heard anything like that?

Yeah that whole thing with Cara Dune's twitter is dumb. She posted some anti mask tweets and everyone is like, fire cara dune. You're not allowed to have a different opinion anymore without being doxed. Well twitter is stupid anyway. If she gets canned it'll be because her character is no longer needed. She was somewhat important in episode 4, but 8, she was just there. Season 2 episode 4, kind of gave closure to Greef and cara. (That was the episode directed by Carl Weathers). They're doing just fine running Navarro. They're doing their own thing now. Same with Ahsoka, I didn't expect her to take Baby Yoda, for a couple of reasons, first shes not a jedi. Second she's doing her own thing looking for Ezra. She ain't got time for no baby yoda.
I don't think anyone is going to show up at the temple. Grogu is going to choose the Mandalorian life. From my understanding, Grogu has to sit on a mountain choose his life, if he chooses the jedi life, it's possible no one would show up, I guess he'd just die up there. I posted about the similarities between the Mandalorian and Lone Wolf And Cub. In one of the adaptations. The child had to choose between the ball or the sword. If he picked the ball, he'dbe killed, if the sword, he'd live. It's similar, not exact.

I definitely think you are onto something about Grogu staying with Din and learning the Mandalorian way of life. I just have these glimpses of a full Mando Yoda with force powers. Can you imagine the effect he would have on a battlefield?
I wonder if that mountain scene will show us some force ghosts and perhaps even Yoda giving little Grogu some advice? Now that would be cool.

Personally I don't expect Thrawn will be in the show. I could be wrong. This episode is just where Ahsoka's story briefly intersects with the Mandalorian. I think Gideon and Thrawn have different ambitions. The Empire is fractured into several Remnant clans, they all want to become the next Emperor. I think Gideon wants force powers to become a vader like successor. There are many similarities between vader and Gideon, both in appearance and ruthlessness.
Thrawn, who knows, he probably has a more naval centered approach. I could be very wrong.
As far as boba fett, I'm sure we'll see him again. Rumor has it the Slave I is supposed to make an appearance this season. Maybe he wants his armor back. I'd like to see him team up with Fennec Shand. (The woman in the gunslinger episode). She was pretty cool. I'm not convinced she's dead, or maybe boba fett collected the bounty. I dunno.

I guess you could be right. Just because there is a name drop doesn't necassarily mean we will see the character. Who knows maybe Thrawn is chasing Ezra and we will get to see them both.

Yeah that was pretty good. First viewing was while I was working this morning. Good thing cuz someone texted me a potentially huge spoiler an hour later.
I knew the Razor Crest wouldn't survive season 2. Just by the trailer. I swear the Razor Crest is my work truck. It's outdated, breaks down constantly, can't find parts for it, and it would literally have to explode for me to part with it.
I like that fennec shand is still alive. Called that. Boba went looking for his armor, called that. I did say no one would show up at the mountain. I was wrong about that, every damn body showed up lol.
I'm glad they cleared up who's armor boba fett's actually was. Potf2 card back said it was his father's. Then after the prequels it changed. Now it's jango's again. Im cool with that. Same with Slave 1.
The mortar trooper is pretty cool. You know I had to paint up a R1 figure. Just need a gi joe mortar.
I guess next week it's going to be a "we're putting together a team" jailbreak episode.

Thank you! You know I never got into the expanded universe. I guess when the books came out I couldn't read, so I've just been a movie guy. Objectively, and I know this is an unpopular opinion, but I'm glad they're rewriting the EU. I didn't get into the Legends stuff, but I'd read Wookieepedia and some of it was far fetched even for Star Wars. So I'd just pick the stuff I liked for my head canon and that's basically what the new EU is. But that's just my opinion.
Speaking of Stormtroopers, I would like one day to see them actually be badass. I remember watching Star wars for the first time and that opening scene on the Tantive Iv got me hooked on Star Wars. They tore those rebels up in that hallway, however, since then Stormtroopers have gotten worse and worse, to now they're just a running joke.

I so agree seeing Boba rock that armor was just fantastic. I mean Knee Missles! Loved seeing that mortar trooper. You know they will unveil that one for Mando Monday this coming week I bet. Gonna be so cool to get this in 6" and 3.75" scale. I was glad to hear Boba was gonna stick with Din to get Grogu back. My family was outraged at the little manacles they put on him. So stoked to see which Jedi shows us to help spring him. Wonder if we will see the whole New Alliance Battle Group jump in? Either way I can see a big space battle brewing I think?

Its gonna be interesting to see if Cara goes with Din to help rescue the child. My gals thought it was pretty week how she responded, but I took the whole head tilt thing to mean she was gonna go kick some buttocks.
I am anxious to hear more about the whole experiment thing with Grogu too. Man this series is just in a great place right now. There are so many great story lines they can take on; from ending some OT questions to new stories for the New Republic to the force with Grogu to what happened to the Jedi, etc.
I also agree it would be great to see a Special Forces Stormtrooper Team. I mean an elite squad like Republic Commando but with just Stormies. These guys would be elite and hit everything they aimed at. I do agree that not all of these guys are just gonna be cannon fodder and inept. Being former artillery I sure wouldn't mind seeing some heavy cannons besides mortars with those artillery stormies too.
I am left feeling a bit sad about the Crest. Gonna wonder if he will get another like it or get a ship like Boba's. If I know merchandizing it will be a new ship. Still, gotta wonder if we will see a new Slave I (hopefully to scale) now that Boba is back on the scene too. They better not kill him off!
So when are we gonna see an AT-AT? We got that crane looking thing. Gotta wonder what type of big land battle we might see in the future too. I mean they do have big ole Rebel Tanks too.

Yeah it was great to see boba fett again. Honestly, (another unpopular opinion) I never understood the hype surrounding Boba Fett, and I wasn't giddy about seeing him in mandalorian. Season 2 episode 1, I thought, they're just going to shoehorn him in, for fan serive sake. I figured anything more would be like the Patton Oswald filibuster. I was wrong. Boba fett lived up to the legend, and it was great to finally see it. As far as him becoming a main character, I'm cool with it. I'm sure they'll do a goid job with it.
Artillery would be cool. Of course lasers and projectiles are way different. I never really liked projectiles in star wars, just seemed to earthy, but the idea has grown on me. The mortar is a useful weapon. Speaking of which I noticed the mortar shell (also on his backpack), is very similar to the cylinder on the back of the stormtrooper belt. I'm 90% sure it is. Thats pretty cool, because I always wanted to see what those things were.

Can we please talk about how good Boba's restored armor looks? I don't think he will want the title, but I would like to see him pick up as the reigns as Manda'lor. Much like how Canderous Ordo became Manda'lor during his period of galactic history. He started out as a mercenary and became a leader of his people. I think Boba could do the same.
It was also pretty cool seeing Mayfield having kind of a redemption from his imperial days. And also seeing our favorite Alderaanian Marshall have forgiveness for a former Imperial...which was a redemption in it's own way.
Also - I think Din will eventually abandon his Death Watch ways (this is the first time he has ever removed the helmet in front of organics). Maybe - through Imperial record keeping, we will learn the actual lineage of his real family? His face is in Imperial systems (if blowing up the depot base did not prevent a network upload).
And the Juggernaut scene was amazing too! The fight sequences were perfectly fleshed out and reminded me of a spaghetti western train fight!
Also...the Slave I still had the clone wars era mine charges from Episode II!!!

Yeah, I noticed Boba's repainted and rebuilt armor right off. Man it looks good with that red led array going back and forth like a cylon. I have a similar one for my AT-AT Driver costume. Some guy in Germany made that for me. Anyhew, his armor looks great and he looks awesome with the black underlayment for it too.
Talk about eagerly eating up all the scenes from inside the Slave I too. Man that is great, they really have a feel for how you would operate in it. And seeing that mine go off to take out those TIES was just great. I gotta wonder if Din is gonna like this ship so much he will get him one down the road.

It will be interesting to see him meet back up with his covert and the Armourer and see how they act. I have a feeling that "The Way" is gonna get modified a bit. I thought it was pretty cool to see him use the Moff's words there at the end about getting Grogu back. Gonna be a great episode (I guess the season finale).
Loved the Juggernauts, guess that was no surprise seeing how close they looked to AT-ATs and their Clone Wars counterpart on wheels. Think we saw them on Chewie's planet in ROTS? Anyhew, great vehicle and I agree the battle was awesome. From the blaster sputtering out, etc. I thought I was watching a gunfight on a train too. I love the whole sphagetti western vibe this has had throughout. Din definitely gives off some good Clint Eastwood vibes every so often with his one liners.
I am guessing we will see a raid on Moff's Star Destroyer next? I wonder who will go. I am guessing Greef and Cara to go along with Boba and Fennec and perhaps Bo Katan and her crew? I would love to see another Assasin Droid thrown in the mix or some kick butt driod to go with. That is probably enough for a small assault party? Maybe the Jedi that Grogu called out too makes an appearance at the very end? Ezra, Mace or someone new? Maybe even let Ahsoka get in on the act? Showing up with the New Republic Fleet to make sure Moff doesn't get away?
You know we are gonna see a torture scene with Grogu too. Like JDeck says, folks are gonna loose it when that happens. I mean we already have the little dude in manacles.
I feel this just gets better and better and is the one piece of new Star Wars that is worth of the original. I think Rogue One came close (man it was great to see nods to that movie in this episode), but this series is singlehandedly gonna save and promote the SW Franchise to entirely new levels. I could even see them doing movies based on this series now. Man, wouldn't a whole Star Wars Spaghetti western movie be great! Gotta let Favareu direct it. He is also the ultimate in professional and modern meets true fan imo.

Going through this episode, I was again blown away by how good everything looked. The cgi action with the juggernaut and slave 1 was clean and as top notch as you can get.
I’ll be bummed after the finale. This season has made a great run of it.
I seen our Mando “The Viper” was wearing his jet pack in the rendered still panels of the end credits, I thought. I need to watch the episode again. Does he have it now, or not?

You are probably right. The Slave I is Boba's ship and wouldn't be individual enough for Din.
I have a feeling his pals will find him something along the same line as his original ship. Still merchandizing alone might have them salivating now to make another Din Ship after the Razor Crest made em millions!

Wow! I've never had such an emotional response to a Television show. The end of Rouge one with Leia and Vader scenes resonated a similar response, but nowhere near as powerful. I was 5 when A New Hope was released and subsequently 11 at the time of Jedi.This I what I've been waiting 37 years for. When I saw the lone X wing I knew, when the green Saber was lit my 8yr old son said it out loud. The black glove made my 10yr old daughter shout "It's definitely him!". The display of his power felt so empowering after the wasted opportunities of the Rey saga. R2's return was met with applause from all three of us. The cut scene at the end was the cherry on top. "This is the way" has become kind of cringe worthy to me because of it's overuse in regards to this series, however it sums up my feelings of this episode perfectly....

I'm also wondering if the Book of boba is season 3 of the Mandalorian and not a standalone series. It was announced earlier this week season 3 of the Mandalorian was coming in December 2021....no way are they giving us two series at once....I love Boba, but I want to see more Din Jarin.

I think there was a titanium release of the Juggernaut. I thought it was a troop carrier with a bunch of seats but can’t remember. I don’t think I have that one, I’ll have to check.
Going through this episode, I was again blown away by how good everything looked. The cgi action with the juggernaut and slave 1 was clean and as top notch as you can get.
I’ll be bummed after the finale. This season has made a great run of it.
I seen our Mando “The Viper” was wearing his jet pack in the rendered still panels of the end credits, I thought. I need to watch the episode again. Does he have it now, or not?
The Juggernaut existed in the EU before it showed up in Revenge Of The Sith and later in the Clone Wars. They were created for the West End Games "Star Wars" RPG (along with the Imperial "Chariot" hover tanks) as an Imperial ground unit that couldn't be tripped. It was originally an Imperial ground superiority vehicle. It was retconned into an Republic vehicle for Rots and appears almost identically to the original design except for the red/burgundy Republic stripes. The Juggernauts seen on "The Mandalorian" are much smaller cargo hauler variants of a completely different design.

Well what can I add. Not much. Seeing Boba meet up with Bo and company (where did the guy Mando go?) was pretty cool. I like Bo, but still can't get over how I think Charlie Theron would have done with that roll. I can't get it out of my head. It was interesting to hear Bo's take on the "legitamacy" of Boba as a Mandalorian. I like how in this show there isn't too long spent on trivial details. They just meet up, set things, and get it done.
Loved the TIE scene getting into the Cruiser. I can so see crashing in that way. The DarkTroopers were just spot on in my opinion from what I remember reading about them. It was interesting to see Din take one on and barely win even with his training.
Speaking of Din I thought it was great with him fighting Gideon darksaber to beskar spear. Good stuff that. And now is he the Mandalore as he has the Darksaber? This will be interesting to see them get back Mandalore from the Empire. I smell Thrawn here perhaps. And what will Bo cook up to get the darksaber back? I don't see her backing down, but I also don't see her fighting Din for it. It will be interesting to see where this story goes and how they take back Mandalore. I can't wait to see all those Mandos!
What can I say about Luke coming back. I so agree they did right by his character this time. At least Mark Hammil is probably smiling a bit today. More so than he was for the sequels. Why o why we didn't get this type of older Luke in the sequels I will never understand. Cara saying oh one X-Wing we're saved was priceless. I have to go back and see if I can see the markers on the wings, but I immediately teared up. I knew it was Luke. Each new scene of him going through the ship my gals watched me more than the show. I was a teary mess by the end of it. Yeah, I know already. And then R2 shows up and does his leg vanishing thing and they do the tube shaft end credit like in the original movies is just spot on perfect.

They need to just let him direct all the rest of the movies and tv shows period. Can you imagine what he would have done with the sequels?! They better keep him nice and happy. I want shows like this long to come.
And then we get the Marvel thing where we have a scene after the credits. No artwork this time. My daughter really likes the concept art. Boba goes in and takes out ole Bib. And then sits on the dias with Fennec posing on the right all Games of Thrones style. I mean it looks tough as all get out. I thought Fennec would bite it in the rescue, but am glad she didn't. I can't wait to see what she and Boba get into in the new series. I can't wait to see the folks here make that scene with Boba and Fennec too. You gotta love Boba, no talk, just blasting! I kinda hope his series goes that way too.
To me, this second season was like The Empire Strikes Back, it just got better and better. Does anyone know when the new season is coming out? Or has it even been announced yet? Whatever the case, this series is saving Star Wars as those of old enough to remember the original movies know it. Man it is gonna stink having to wait another year for it. 2020 sure did stink, but the Mandalorian in 2020 sure didn't!

And DSin, I so agree. I think Jon needs to be in charge of it all with his directing team he has already established. Still Jon in charge period. I kinda hope all the new SW Shows they announced doesn't burn him out. You know if he isn't in charge of them, they all want him as an advisor.

Taking the darksaber back by force is the only way to become the legitimate leader of Mandalore.
You must remember the significance of that thing to the Mando'ade. It's particularly sacred.
It's something that could be used to rally all the mando clans and take back the planet. Something of that sort has not been done since the KOTOR era. This is huge.

If Boba and slave1 are on tatooine then Din is without a ride. I don’t think Bo Katan will give up her Mando cruiser or Moff’s ship which I thought Din had offered to her. He may end up with a temporary Tie or Imperial L shuttle.
What a pickle about the dark saber. I don’t know what will happen there.
Din forgot to give Grogu the control knob that he had rescued from the Razor Crest wreckage. I kept expecting him to whip it out as Luke took Grogu but he must have forgot.
Be a good reason to search him out next season.
Tamer the tears had me fuzzy eyed enough that I didn’t realize that Luke was CGI at first and thought it was an actor.
After looking at it again, I wasn’t as impressed with the Luke or r2 CG as I have been about the other CG we have seen all season. It didn’t bother me but I noticed. I wouldn’t have minded an actor that kind of looked like Luke. It just seemed strange when he talked.
All of the slave1 shots were as pretty as could be. Especially that landing, a thing of exquisite beauty
Bib looks like he had gotten fatter than Boba.

Good point Clint on Din's ride. Wonder what he is gonna do? I am guessing Imperial Shuttle. It would be cool to see a modified TIE. We haven't seen even a TIE Bomber yet. So many cool ships yet to see in this series.

Suzanne Sommers' "attributes" were the only stimulating aspect of that show.
Hopefully the whole of season 2 will be as exciting as the trailer but I can't allow
myself that level of expectation.
As I have said before, I have nothing but the LOWEST expectations for season two.
One thing I can always count on from dudsney, they will live up to my lowest expectations.
On the other hand I do have high expectations for the next season of The Mandalorian given the last 2 seasons were closer to being a StarWars product at the level of Gearge Lucas.

The new trailer shows Mando dude being asked if he has ever taken off his helmet. His reply must have been in the affirmative because in the next scene you see him being told that he no longer Mandalorian.

Guys was that Jedi Starfighter purple? Oh wow! And seeing all the color of the rainbow for Mandalorians. I told myself no more Mandalorians, but I know I will get em in 3.75". And seeing the one with the bent rangefinder. That has to be Faveraux. We are going back to Mandalore.

I don't know how you CAN"T get excited about season three. This series is one of the very few
that dudsney has gotten right when it comes to Star Wars.
I'm not sure how I feel about the rainbow warrior Mando's. Seems as if they found a bunch of
spare parts laying around and just slapped pieces together without any of their own personality
put into the design process.
There is a lot to absorb from this trailer.
Jedi, tie fighters, tie interceptors, Salacious Crumb (or 1 of his 1st cousins) and a cave monster.
We need a large size version of that cave monster to display next to our Rancor.
I have a feeling it's going to take a number of rewatches of each episode to absorb all of the details and correlate how everything fits together so we totally understand all of the events that are happening in the galaxy.

I read somewhere during production they used actual cosplayers mandalorian armor, because they needed so many suits. If that's true, how cool would that be? Get your stuff put in a star wars show and if you're really lucky get a figure of it. I can definitely see a bunch of mandalorian repaints coming. Hopefully I get some new imperial variants.
Apollo Creed really cleaned up Navarro. Even the Kowakian monkey lizards are free from the street vendor's rotisserie. I need more Babu Frik in my life. Good to see him and his buddies.
If you told me what I'm about to say after season 1, I'd say you're crazy. I think Baby yoda is going to be the ruler/uniter of Mandalore. He's a force wielding foundling. Really only he can wield the darksaber. Mando almost cut his own leg off. Bo katan obviously doesn't deserve it. Grogu is the only logical choice. The Mandalorian could be referencing grogu. Especially if you follow through the story of the Lone Wolf and Cub, which mandalorian is based on the child was the heir to the throne and had to be protected until he came of age.

I wouldn't be surprised if dudsney used the armor of cosplayers. They have been known to use
cosplaying stormtroopers to fill out the ranks when a scene requires a large number of TK's.
I see the logic of your Grogu becoming the ruler of Mandalore theory however I don't see that happening. The ruler of Mandalore, by Mandalore law, has to be a pure blood Mando, born of
Mandolorian parents and raised under Mandalorian clan rule. This is The Way.
I can see where Grogu may very well be instrumental in the war on Mandalore and play a big part
in deciding whover will become the eventual ruler of Mandalore.
What I really want to know is that since we know Grogu force throws the cave monster out of the cave will they become BFF's and the monster or he and his companions come to fight alongside
Mr. Mando and his allies???
I don't know if Mr. Mando will be that eventual ruler but he can't be returning to Mandalore just
to receive forgiveness for his sins.
There will be a higher reason/power that awaits his arrival.

Possibly the idea of a mandalorian uniter is a myth. There are too many factions with their own set of rules. Like the Children of the Watch, they're an extreme cult, that can never be pleased. Hopefully Mando gets away from them. They're a dying breed perpetuated by the armorer. She and Paz Vizula is all that's left of their sect. Possibly by providence. Din is the reason they all were killed on Navarro. Which brings me to a completely different subject of Stormtroopers being badass off screen and dufusses onscreen but anyway. Maybe the old way has to be destroyed to bring in a Renaissance as it were to the Mandalorians.

There's something about this show how each season has been better than the last. But somehow, also watches the same way a video game plays.
Very cool seeing Mandalorian culture at play. And I guess the young Boba Fett lookalike was Paz Vizla's son...?
The space gator fight was interesting.
Greef Karga and Navarro have come a long, long way. The IG statute was a cool tribute, sad that he reverted to his guild programming. Doubt it's the last we've seen of him.
BABU FRIK! 0// These little dudes were hilarious. And so was Grogu's interaction with them.
The space pirate battle was awesome. That pirate frigate oozes cool.
Bo Katan is back to her bitchy ways it would seem.
So Mando has a lot going on.
Main objectives:
1) Regain the way of Manda'lor.
2) Bathe in waters of Mandalore.
Side Quests:
1) Revive IG.
2) Find missing IG part.
Optional quests:
1) Kill the space pirate.

It was good. I liked the Pirates. The Nikto pirate Vane was probably named after Charles Vane, who was an actual real pirate. If you watched Black Sails youd know he was pretty badass.
I like the Anzellans. If Hasbro doesn't make them in tvc all is lost.
The only problem I have is IG-11. he self destruct. The whole point of self destructing is so he can't be brought back. The detonator was right in the middle of what they salvaged. Even if he didn't blow up into a million pieces, he would be on the bottom of a lava river. Nobody dies in star wars.

I am trying not to like it though because as soon as I do up it blows!
Seeing all the new droids was fantastic. What was that droid on Bo's landing pad. I see so much diversity Hasbro could make new TVC from. I mean couldn't you see a Monkey Lizard variety pack! Good to see Greef and Djinn mix it up a bit. We even got a space fight!
It seemed this was over in five minutes. They just know how to do this. If they ever get rid of Faveraux I am gonna be pi$$ed.

Mando hasn't disappointed in the first two seasons and I don't believe season three will disappoint in any way shape or form.
That's why Tamer, you don't need to have any concerns. This Star Wars show will not blow up.
The opening was incredible. The ritual of a child becoming and committing to the Mandalorian philosophy of life was masterful. Then the way all of the Mandalorians fight as a force of one to defeat the giant Crocosaur demonstrates how victory is achieved through unity.
The rest of this episode speaks for itself. This is Star Wars as it is meant to be.
Favreau and Filoni are on top of their game with The Mandalorian.
I still can't help but think that George is influencing from behind the curtain.

Alamites, Mythosaur, and Mandalorians, Oh my!
This may very well be the last of its kind. It's amazing that mythosaur has been nesting undisturbed for probably generations. Bo Katan certainly had no knowledge of it and had been in the mines and waters themselves. I guess Kuiil's prophecy is coming full circle, "your ancestors rode the might mythosaur..."
I need some closure on what the HECK the biodroid spider thing was. Any ideas? I'm gonna Wookieepedia research it...

How come I like this in the Mandalorian but it bugs the snot out of me with other shows. And seeing that Mythrosaur at the end. I cannot wait to see if they try to rebuild the planet. You gotta think Djin will go back to the Clan and tell them and maybe we will see Grogu start his Mando journey. Just good stuff. I am really liking who they cast as Bo Katan too. She is a natural for that role as I see her.

Katee Sackhoff has had a lot of great roles in television series; from Star Wars The Clone Wars (voice of Bo Katan), Battlestar Galactica reboot (Starbuck), and Deputy Moretti in Longmire. She does a great job of nailing Bo Katan's snotty 'better than you' attitude.

Why did the Mandalorians not know about the Mythosaur? I know they are supposed to be extinct.
Grogu is learning the way. It's good to slowly see him come into his own. Will his force powers restrict him from being Mandalorian...? So many questions.
How will Mando prove he went into the waters of Mandalore? Will he tame and ride the mythosaur? If he does he will be the most prominent Mandalorian in thousands of years.
Mando lost the dark Saber in combat to the spider cyborg. He was disarmed. Bo Katan used it to kill the spider droid... how does she not lay claim to it by defeating the opponent who defeated Mando?

I am not sure it can be relinquinshed other than direct combat though. I am a little fuzzy with this dark saber thing. Good question though. I think we can all see she gets it back. I am not sure Djinn is ready to lead the whole thing yet?

We have to remember a simple fact about the Darksaber that's been overlooked from Rebels...
This is not just a weapon. It's a cultural artifact. It's a symbol capable of uniting ALL mandalorians under one banner. It was wielded by an ancient Vizsla relative - the first and only Mandalorian EVER inducted into the Jedi Order - Tarre Vizsla.
It more or less chooses who wields it and it can only be won thru combat. Sabine's struggles when sparring with Ezra and being taught by Kanan Jarrus (Caleb Dume) and Fenn Rau.
If you handle it unwieldy (much like Mando did when fighting the mutant creatures - Alamites) it's the same as when Sabine was weilding the Darksaber during her struggles. It's known to be "heavy." As one connects with the blade, it becomes "lighter."
Kyber crystals are somewhat semi-sentient. They choose and bond with the Jedi who find the crystals......you experience this first-hand in Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order:
Mando seemed to struggle using it where Bo Katan did not. Which begs another question - does the blade recognize former wielders? Based on how well Bo Katan utilized the weapon during this fight, I would argue that it does. I think there is strong evidence in the canon to support my assertion with lightsabers/kyber crystals choosing their wielders. From the OT, Clone Wars, Rebels, Sequels, etc.
We also got our very first LIVE ACTION appearance of the Mandalorian gauntlet shield. Mega cool!
I guess I've done much more watching and re-watching of all of this than I care to admit.

Wow, thanks for the Darksaber info, that is a great resource right there. Makes me wonder if Sabine will show up for a cameo or something. Still, Djinn needs to get a handle on it.
And Ron I thought the same thing about the jet packs under water. I mean how would that work really. Wouldn't the flame superheat the water and cause things other than propulsion? Still, loved the episode. I can be willing to forgive so much with this series. And I agree Djinn needs to not get "weakened" this season.

I think Bo Katan has a lot of guilt and anger towards herself due to the Night of A Thousand Tears (Seige/sacking/glassing of Mandalore). Mandalore fell during her rule and Moff Gideon took the weapon from her (we still need details on how these events actually transpired - I do not believe its been shown yet).
I don't think Bo Katan really "likes" mando. I get jealous vibes from her. She sees him as a rival, but respects him (to a degree) as a Mandalorian.
She views Mando as an extremist, a "child of the watch" (Death Watch), which is extremely hypocritical given that she was also a member of Death Watch and had a relationship with Pre Vizsla.
It would seem Mythosaur confirmed. That beast must have been down there, undiscovered, for thousands of years. It dates back to the First Mandalore, who was a Taung warrior, whom species were the first inhabitants of Coruscant. They fled to Mandalore (forming what would be the first Mandalorians - renaming their species as such after). This took place in roughly 7,000 B.B.Y.
It's interesting to note that Bo Katan also mistranslated the Mando'a though!
Bo-Katan Kryze read the plaque to Din Djarin, she misread "Mandalore the Great defeated and rode the mythical beast" as "Mandalore the Great is said to have tamed the mythical beast."
Is she doing this accidentally? Intentionally? Continuity error of the writer? No clue...

The Mythasaur??? I can't get a firm hold on how I think the beast
will factor into the Mando storyline. That's definitely a cranial conundrum

Agreed. One mustn't forget that she wanted to kill Mando when she saw his Starfighter landing at her base a second time. Good for her it was just Grogu. I can definitely see second thoughts in her. The way she asked Mando in today's episode definitely implies that she wants to gain back power and likely wants to have power over the Mythosaur as well. Doesn't look like she wants him to know about what she saw under water. That dogfight with those TIE Interceptor was something else. I honestly cannot see how they survived so many of them. It was nice to see Coruscant and I especially liked the return of the theater scene of Revenge of the Sith. It probably took 2/3 of this episode, which is the longest one so far with almost 55 minutes play time. But the pacing just made me tired. It felt very much like ANDOR. I mean seeing Coruscant in more depth feels great and we don't really have an antagonist in this season, yet (except for that Turtlesaur), but those dialogues felt flat. This episode just felt off and weird to me. Don't see the point of the scientist join the New Republic. What I do like though is how the episode shows that the New Republic is a dictatorship on its own.
Add: I almost forgot to ask: Are you also looking forward to buying Star Wars Cookies and Popsicles at Galaxy's Edge and/or the market nearby as much as I am?

Just finished the latest episode last night. I thought the same thing about those popsickles. Yep, that was marketing 101 right there.
I felt the same way, I like the episode with Djinn, Bo, and Grogu, but was left feeling a little flat on how our good mad scientist was double crossed and mind wiped. I guess they are trying to set the stage for the next big baddy, but man it felt like they could have done that stuff a lot quicker. Pretty cool seeing the derelict Stat Destroyer. Wish that had done the one shot in the concept art with all those SDers sitting in the scrap lines.
It will be interesting to see what mischief Bo gets into with the Mandos now that she has been accepted into the clan. I kinda have a feeling they are all gonna have their helmets off by the end of this season.

Started off great! Excellent dog fighting scenes that proved once again
the empire doesn't put any emphasis on spending time at the shooting range.
The ending, necessary and something I should have predicted.
The middle 2 thirds of the episode??? HO HUM. Boring and seemed to be unnecessary
or filler flop. I'm sure we will experience the necessity of that snooze fest but I agree with DM.
I wanted to take a nap.

Yeah she will turn out to be a deep agent working with Thrawn or Palleon or someone. Knowing Faveraux he will do it right. Still, it took awhile for it to fill in and I don't see them killing him as they would still need him for his cloning knowledge after they get Grogu back.

One third of the latest episode was EXCELLENT!!!!!!!!!!
The beginning and the ending were good and provided insight to the Mandalorian lifestyle
that I found really interesting.
The middle of the show was WOWZAAAA!! Grogu's rescue was depicted perfectly.
I can't help but wonder though why so much significance is placed on saving Grogu
and the rest of the younglings were left to be slaughtered.
Obviously there are more Jedi than we thought that survived order 66. Can't help but
wonder where they went and what they were doing around the galaxy after the takeover
by the empire.
What I enjoyed the most were the production values. This scene was classic Star Wars.
The directing, costuming and story line is straight out of the mind of George Lucas.
Took me back to the days of the original trilogy.
Will we see more Jedi as this show unfolds?? HMMMMMMMM.

Everybody wants to see Bo Katan as the Mandalore. I thlink she had her chance, and she blew it. Grogu will tame the Mythosur like the Mudhorn, The Rancor. Bo will be an afterthought. And of course she won't like it. Eventually Din and Bo will fight it out.

I just asked my daughter last night how they can do so well for the Mandalorian and give us such "insert your own expletive" for the other stuff. Frankly just put Faveraux in charge of Lucasfilm and any movie or new tv show and done.
Loved the lore. Kinda bummed we didn't see a Grogu beskar or bucket or something, but I know he is still growing. Loved learning and seeing more of the Mando community. Really wondering about the bucket on all the time mythos though. I mean you can't even eat in the same place? Why is it so important to not see the person's face? So Paz Vizla never gets to see his son's face again?
Small beef though. When I saw their jet packs dieing I was like why did no one chase it in a starfighter. Bo is smart. She ain't gonna go down lightly. I loved hearing her talk about the mythrosaur with the Armorer. We are gonna see that beasty again. Man, fingers crossed for a Hasbro Mythrosaur HasLab. Probably would never happen though, but man think of the unlocks they could do!

There's just so much to unpack in this episode. We got to see Zeb from Rebels! Really cool. Loved seeing Ahmed Bests' Jedi character. Really hope he survived Order 66 but I doubt it. This series continues to both fascinate and entertain me.

I hope the future episodes get better. The show has been good so far but it just doesn't seem to me to be up to the same
level as the first two seasons.
Of course the absence of one of the main female characters is very noticeable.
Now that B K has the saber and hopefully the reunification begins we should see a lot of action as the planet Mandalore
is taken back by the Mando's.

I don't like how its become the Bo Katan show. She got the Darksaber again out of a technicality. To me Din was the rightful owner of the Darksaber. He was the reluctant leader. Sometimes, like what Bail Organa Told Liea in The Obi wan show, she would be a great leader because she hated the politics. Same with Din. I feel like Bo Katan had her shot, and failed. BO is the "establishment". Even her own kind left her. She will have to face Miff Gideon again and , for her sake better win.
But who cares about the main character of the show?
Which brings me to the Filoni movie prospect. its not about bringing the shows and cartoons together, it's about patching up JJ Abrhams story into the Filoniverse. Honestly I feel like Filoni has too much investment into his characters and whether peolpe like them or not. Going back in time and creating a whole new aspect of the Force just to bring Ahsoka back to life is cheap. After everything ahsoka and Anakin went through, having them duel each other and obviously, Ahsoka losing. Instead of that being an impact full end to her story, they invented Time travel and brought her back instead of bringing a new character to fill the space. That's what the "fans" want. Until it happens, then it's all wrong.

Yep, kinda feel that way about the last two episodes. I have to admit I felt it kind of resolved itself a little too quickly for me, but damn that Mando jet pack fighting is legit the coolest fight scene stuff I have ever seen.
I also kept waiting to see the creed Mandos take off their buckets. The more I think on that the more I think there is no way a person could live like that (helmet on all the damn time). Gonna miss Vizla. It will be interesting to see where they take the storyline with his son.
It is just me or does that newly lit forge need to make some small Beskar for Din Grogu! Loved seeing that last fight scene where they all worked together. Loved seeing the Mythrosaur again too. Hopefully that becomes a bigger thing when perhaps a bigger enemy comes after Mandalore. Ole Thrawn is gonna get his butt kicked by that beasty and I Mando rider.
I am still not sure Djin doesn't end up in charge. I like Bo, but think she has had her spotlight. I mean the show is called the Mandalorian. I had some nit picks, but definitely not enough to say I didn't love this new season. Daggone I am sad its over. I could definitely have seen those last two episodes turn into four real easy. Heck or seen em set up a movie to finalize everything. Sure does make me wonder about that new Mando movie now.

Pretty darn good season finale. Answered some questions and and left a lot more up in the air.
I agree with Tamer, the jetpack fighting was awesome. Finally got to see the Mando's in their element.
Lord knows they have sucked as ground fighters up to this point.

How well did Gideon's armor shield him from the blast furnace level temps as he was engulfed in fire?
Did he really melt away into oblivion or will he return to either oppose or join Grand Admiral Thrawn?
Mando's new bounty hunter agreement with the New Republic opens up some interesting possibilities
for the upcoming battle with Thrawn.
One question: How is it that the mando jet packs ran out of fuel after flying for a few miles in pursuit of
the giant bird but never run out during a prolonged battle against Gideon's armored commando's??
Was there an inflight refueling ship that we didn't see?
The future of this show should be interesting even though it appears that we will be waiting and waiting
and waiting for what comes next.
Oh, one more thing. I was really disappointed we didn't get to see the rise of the Mythasaur.
