Title: "A link to the past"
Post by: CustomCreator on May 10, 2017, 01:19:37 PM: Sorry I've been MIA, but my laptop has been in the shop for almost a week. This means props for the alley are on hold. Bought some do a on Monday, and officially started my Zelda inspiredcastle ruins. This will be a courtyard, and hallway. Fresh cuts

Still needs some clean up work. Everything looks better painted....lol

With each build, I try and challenge myself to try new techniques. This build will incorporate at least 4 new things for me. The first being the amount of carving. The second? Foliage. What's a courtyard (even an abandoned one) without plants? Still needs some "fluffing", but there are 2 more coming. 100% scratch built.

Needs some cleaning up (back of glass), and a small frame behind to block the light around it (same with door). All still a big WIP.

Did some structure work tonight (magnets), and installed the lights temporarily to get a feel for them. I think I am going to like them!

Wow! Thank you so much for the kind words. There are MANY who are masters, and to be considered among them is truly an honor. To answer your question, I used Woodland Scenics Lichen. I guess it's real??? I've had it for YEARS, and it has never dried out.
