Feels great to open a custom action figure link. I finally pushed myself to by paint and an action figure last night. Hope you enjoy the figures posted here.
-
The first figure I am posting here is a commander out of the Eagle Squadron, out of the 501st. He is not posted in the drawings I had done, but he is a newer addition. I do not have a name yet, though. Feel free to make any suggestions for names. Finally, may I present my first custom figure!
-
looks excellent mate
-
great repaint! hope to see more soon.
-
Looks cool to me, Dan! Good job!
-
Thanks everyone. Next, I have a trooper out of that commander's squad that I customized. Again, no names yet.
-
Looking good USD!
-
Thanks Phatty!
-
very nicely done. my first didnt turn out that good. or my second... or third... or ninth........
i am partial to the blue. and anything resembling the 501st.
wonder what that would look like on a phase one clone?
great job and look forward to seeing your future projects.
-
I like that one too, Dan! Let's see another one, buddy.
-
Seeing all the other customs on here makes me want to make another. First I have to go out and get the materials, but you should see one up probalbly by Tuesday seeing as I have to go to Hershey tomorrow, but I think I'm going to make another. Also, the two customs I made before this now have names, the first one being Flare and the other Sparky.
-
I have a drawn template ready and am working on a design. I hope the final action figure turns out as good as all of yours. My last ones weren't really that great, so I now know how to improve. Learning from my mistakes.
-
usd your already surpassed my skills if your doing templates and designs before the actual build! :P lol I usually just throw spare parts in a box, shake it up, throw in some super glue and hope a decent figure comes out of it all.... ok well it's a little more complicated than that but I hardly ever do any project with actual planning before hand, usually just a general idea of what I want to do and just sit down and do it. My girl is always yelling at me about my "eyeballing" my paint jobs and gluing and things. I'm glad she hasn't noticed the crooked shelves in the garage dio yet! :-X
anyways, I'm rambling. the figs look great. I bet that paint job would look great on a phase 1 clone. DO IT!
-
Thanks, spudafett. But that's the problem right there. I tryed searching for a regular Phase 1, Phase 2, or just Clone Wars Trooper and they had nothing at Toysrus or Wal-mart. Looks like this project might drag on a little while longer. I might just try an ARF Trooper if I'm desperate.
-
I'm gonna work on some new designs, but keep the old ones as well. Make designs for what I can work with.
-
you could always use a newer clone and completely repaint it from scratch and then add the blue.
-
That is a great idea. I might just try that. Thanks!
-
lol that's what I'm here for. Of course I know it'd be a pain to paint the whole thing white... I HATE painting white..... :P
-
Some how, my old paint brush went missing, so my dad picked up a five pack. A great gift at that, I went out and picked up some paint. I'm waiting to get a Commander Cody figure to make a figure I had seen on the internet. Below is a picture of the nameless trooper. I am also thinking about picking up two other figures, one to do a Commander Bly from the Clone Wars and another to do a Commander Kite. I hope I don't get ahead of myself with all these project ideas.
-
I like that light blue color scheme. The file says "clone scupa commander" is it supposed to be scuba?
just a though I just had, someone needs to paint up a scuba clone with a two toned color scheme resembling a great white shark. At the aquarium my familly when to the other day there was a display outlining the ability of a shark to blend in to all of it's surroundings, it's white belly blending in with the sunlight, the dark grey back blending in with the deep hues of the ocean when seen from above and the dark transitional line along it's side hiding it from view when seen sideways... I think that'd be a cool color scheme for a scuba clone...
-
I agree. That would be a cool color scheme. An idea I actually had was Aqua-Trooper Mandalorians. Pretty much an idea I developed from my fish, Boba and Jodo. I've worked on designs, but nothing I found to be perfection. I'm still working on it.
-
That is a good idea.
Hey Spud, didn't you mention one time that you wanted to make a scuba mando?
-
yeah, scuba mando's was an Idea I had also had a long time back.
I was trying to diversify on the mando armor just like the clones have done. FOr example have a sand-mando armor, aquatic-mando, high/no-atmosphere suit, space-mando, super-armor mando, yuzong vong crab armor mando, snow mando, commander-mando, heavy artillary mando, mando scout... etc....
I've so far gotten a space-mando, super-armor, and mando scout designed. but the space armor sucked... lol
-
Well, I have the paints for the SCUBA Commander, but not the figure. I also ordered a Droidbait figure to make a Bly. Later on, I am going to get a Rex and Cody figure to make the Scuba and Kite figures. But first I need to build up my money supply first.
-
I have the Droidbait figure on the way so I can make the Bly. I also purchased a Thire just for enjoyment. Today, I'm heading down to Hershey. I might be able to stop at a Wal-Mart along the way to pick up some yellow paint for the Kite and Bly figure. Other than that, all I need to do is pick up Cody, Rex, and Gree figures and I'll be done. (Gree for enjoyment as well).
-
I found a Rex figure for $7.99, so if I get that I'll be able to make the Commander Bly figure.
-
good luck with your customs dan i have made 3 bly's so far
-
Starting a new figure now with an origin of a Droidbait figure. Hope it turns out well.
-
You going to do a Bly with h or something else, Dan?
-
I was thinking about doing that Bly figure, but I never got the Rex Body for it. Now I need to brainstorm new ideas.
-
Here are some pictures of my progress so far on the Keller figure. I figured the CW figures are always lighter than regular, or darker, so I went down a notch with the paint color. Also, I'm using tape so the lines are a little rugged from the shots.
-
Nice, Dan. I will be watching this one progress.
-
uhh that last figuer looks interasting nice work on your customs dan
-
Thanks guys. Not much to watch any longer, Clint. I finished it today, but I have to go, so I will post the pictures later.
-
Here are those pictures, since I had some free time.
-
yikes, that was fast. Looks good from what I can tell, Dan.
-
looks good dan ...one thing they supply the visor on upside down
-
I didnt even think about that, Jay. I ripped my droidbait visor off almost as soon as I got it to mold the pieces and can't remember if it came upside down or not.
-
Thanks for the comments, guys. That's what I though had happened withe the visor.
-
Great job!! I love the color and nice clean lines
-
Thanks, Sten. I might have to shift my personal funds over to the bank to start saving for this trip. I still want to customize, though.
-
Hello USD that Keller is looking good. Are you going to repaint the visor?
-
I thought about that, but I don't think I will now. Thanks. I'm Dan, by the way.
-
Phase I version of Keller, rock on! I never thought of how he'd look early in the war but yours is spot on for what he probably did. Though chances are smallish he'll ever show up on TCW toon (Barcara and Faie still haven't appeared either), if he does I hope that custom is close to his design.
-
Thanks, NFC. I too hope that some of those Commanders make it onto the Clone Wars, such as Appo.
-
nice dan
-
really nice work dan love the commander keller ;D
-
Thanks, Colin!
-
My favorite of your customs are Eagle Squadron, no doubt.
-
Thanks, Brian. Good luck on those posts!
-
Yeah, thanks
-
Well, I picked up some paint today. If I can aquire the right figure, I might make a Phase 2 Alpha-17.
-
I tested out the paint today. It's a bit more shiny than I thought, so I might have to take it back and replace it for less shiny paint.
-
what brand is the paint called dan
-
It's called Folkart, Colin. Here's an example of how shiny it is:
-
Nice color but yes it does shine, If you find a color you really like you can always try clearing it over with a matte or a dull coat.
-
Thanks for the advice, Wayne!
-
weathering will take it down as well dan
-
the paint apps do look straight and uniform though.
-
Thanks for the suggestion, Jay. Thanks as well, Clint. My hand has been getting steadier and steadier.
-
it looks like good paint dude yeah you should weather it
-
I have a new figure I completed today. I will get it up later.
-
As promised, here's that template figure. I picked up a Commander Ponds and had to paint it white to get it to its current state. I'm still thinking about using this figure for another project I have. Any suggestions for names is gladly welcome!
-
The figure I posted above is as of now being transformed into a CW style Commander. I will try and get pictures up once I am done.
-
Today is pretty much a Customs Day. First off, I started on the X1 figure by painting the pauldron white so that way I can paint over the area I want to when I get the orange paint without worrying where to paint. Aside from that, I touched up Sparky and Flare from there previous shiny mode to a much softer, blue. Here they are:
-
Finally, I have created a CW custom inspired by Jay. His name is Captain Blimey out of the 500th Reinforcement Ops Corps. What do you guys think?
-
that is cool and funny lol
-
awesome custom
the paintjob is great
-
nice O0
-
Thanks for the comments so far!
-
nice clone. did u make that out of a commander ponds
-
Looks sweet! Nice work!
-
nice clone. did u make that out of a commander ponds
Yes, I did make him out of a Ponds.
-
wow
wow
wow
-
Great paint Job Dan, nice looking blue, just a tip jay gave me but instead of paint the figure white, how about trying some nail polish remover to take the paint off....
Nice straight lines buddy!!
-
Great job, that is one sweet clone.
-
Captain Blimey, LOL! He looks great, Dan I'm liking that blue.
-
Thanks everyone. Nail polish remover can remove paint, Trev? I should try that. I am thinking about doing another one.
-
Thanks everyone. Nail polish remover can remove paint, Trev? I should try that. I am thinking about doing another one.
Well as far as what Jay has told me Yes it works, i have yet to try it my self but i have a bottle on hand when i get the chance to do another custom.... Jay said he did it with the "Echo"
and removing the hand print, if it removes nail polish it has to be pretty good i think, not that i ware nail polish to know...... best ask Jay about that one ;) :P
-
I just purchased two figures at Toysrus today, so you should see one if not two customs up. <<COUGH(Seargent Kano and another 500th Legion Trooper)COUGH>> Excuse me.
-
I can't wait to see the rest of your customs. ()rr
-
Thanks!
-
Progress Report: I have the figure painted and drying for now, and then I have to apply a coat or two more to make him really shine. As soon as I finish, I will post the final project.
-
You are right on schedule, Dan. I can't wait to see the pics.
-
I have my hands all washed off from the paint and am ready to display the figure: This figure is an ARF Trooper from the Star Wars: the Clone Wars: Republic Heroes video game. As shown in the pictures, he is out of the 501st. I have a teaser picture at the bottom showing the 500th and 501st working together under an AT-TE. As the paint job is not exactly like the ARF Seargent Boomer, he is not meant to be Boomer, but here is my custom Lieutenant Rom.
-
That ARF trooper turned out great, Dan! I like that other teaser, also.
-
Thanks, Clint! That's what two and a half hours and the a lot of patience will give you.
-
looks great dan
-
It wouldn't have been possible without your design, Jay. Thanks once again.
-
wow, awesome paintjob
very well done
-
Thanks for the comments!
-
Nice customs
:)
-
Thank you!
-
As of now, I am working on a Clone Trooper Squad comprised of eight troopers. I will release the pics as I aquire the figures and paints to do the figures. I have the designs up now.
-
This sounds like a sweet project! I'll be looking forward to seeing the work in progress shots.

I realy need to play that game.
-
Mate very nicely done on the troops and the lines are perfect.
Ron
-
I haven't even played the game, lol! Just the demo.
Coming from you, Ron, that means a lot. Thank you very much! My neat line has just come along. I used to put a piece of masking tape on, but when I peeled it off it was too messy, so I do it free hand now.
-
Well, I have the first figure from a set I'm doing. To give you the generalization of the story I told Pat, I am making a group of figures to recognize the current staff of ISY for making this place truly great! There are a few things you should know about these figs: (1) The color schemes are thanks to the awesome graphics designer here at ISY, Jules, and the banners he created for each staff member. (2) Because this is the Imperialshipyards, I decided to make the figs from Stormies. (3) Jay will also be included, too, as a late edition. Now that that's out of the way, may I present the first figure in the ISY Staff set!:
ISY Administrator Tamer a.k.a. Shawn.
-
Nice one Dan he looks Great!! very kind of you to do this for all the bossses ;D they all will be very proud of them and i bet you are too. fantastic idea buddy keep em coming....
-
Thanks, Trev.
-
Very nice, and a very nice gesture to do these of us, I know I appreciate it and am honored you would do it.
-
Anything for one of the greatest group of guys out there!
-
oooooooooo cool idea for the "generals," im sure they would want one of those under thier tree ;D
-
Cool custom.
-
Dan, those are the best lines I have seen you administer to a trooper yet, my friend. What a cool idea. I can't wait to see mine.
-
Clint yours would have to be some kind of Camo paint scheme for sure ;)
-
Nice paint apps. :) If you do one for recon sgt you have to do a cammo desing.
-
Thanks for the comments and suggestions. If the admins want a certain thing included on their figs, feel free to PM me and I will try and attempt it on the figs. Thanks again guys!
-
As for mine, this is your baby so do what ever you had in mind. I don't want to influence you with it at all
-
Thanks, Wayne. I won't ruin who's figure I'm going to do next.
-
Same here buddy. Do whatever you want and your heart will guide your hand.
-
Will do, Clint!
-
Great custom mate and it's always amazing how a paint job can make a figure %!00 better.
Ron
-
I know what you mean! If I had to choose between Hasbro figs and customs, I'd choose customs all the way.
-
Me too. :)
-
sweet i like that idea and atlast someones customizing stormies except from jules and sten and maybe spryguy and others hemble and umm oh btw dan u wanna stormie i got loads btw its the sandie corpral who hasnt got weathering on it from saga legends is saga legends cancelled in uk or is it just legacy waves
-
Thanks for your comments! PM sent.
-
Getting some paint and hopefully some figs, Friday, guys, so look forward to seeing at least one if not more. I can't make any promises as of yet.
-
that is a great idea, the figure looks absolutely amazing
-
Thank you! Look forward to seeing more soon.
-
I've got some customs coming up tomorrow!
-
cool cant wait
-
First figure is drying right now, so I just have to put some finishing touches on him and I'll put him up!
-
I still have to attach the holsters to the shoulder strap from Gree, but otherwise, here's the first custom from the CW Series that I've made (and the first one that isn't blue, lol). Commander Ganch! I used the Thire figure that I had with the helmet I had to make the completed figure. To remove the antenna, I just took my exacto knife and sliced it off. Otherwise, it's a pretty simple figure. Enjoy!:
-
Very nice, Dan! You are getting good at your painting skills, buddy.
-
Since I usually take the pics in the day, it was dark in my room and I had to relocate to a place with more light to take these pics. Anyway, here's the final product with all chest holsters attached
-
wow Dan!! that is one cool looking Ganch buddy, nice smooth lines, you executed it this rendition perfectly well done mate!!!
-
Thanks, Trev! I was going to get around to this sooner or later, and I'm glad that I did it now.
-
I put him on the FP, Dan but might have jumped the gun. I copied, hosted, and posted a fp pic before you got the holsters on.
-
That's okay Clint. I'm just happy he's up there. Thank you!
-
Very, Very nice figures!! What red did you use for the latest custom, i love it!! That red has given me a custom idea too!
Great figures and they turned out fantastically.
-
Awesome Ganch.Looks really cool.
-
Awesome customs Dan! Those paint schemes look great! :D Can't wait to see more.
-
Thats an awsome ganch I got one myself and was hoping to post it but two Ganchs I dont know great custom dough!
-
awesome custom dan ,ganch is also on my "to do" list
-
I used a color called lipstick red, Lambonspit. Thanks for the comments! I'll be posting a Bly as soon as I finish him.
-
Thats an awsome ganch I got one myself and was hoping to post it but two Ganchs I dont know great custom dough!
Don't let my posting this prevent you from making one. I would love to see your version, too.
-
I'll be posting a new custom or two later, after I go pick up some supplies!
-
Here you guys go: A better picture of Ganch!
-
My next custom is of Clone Commander Bly from the Clone Wars. I used the left over pieces from making the Ganch to make the Bly and I'm happy with how it turned out. Hope you guys enjoy!
-
looking good USD!
-
Thanks, CM!
-
Very nice job on both.
-
ace customs dan
-
Your Bly turned out great, Dan! Is that your Axe in the background?
I like your new signature and avatar.
-
Thanks for the comments, guys! That's a guitar lamp that I got for Christmas, Clint. Did you mean pilot Axe?
-
Thanks for the comments, guys! That's a guitar lamp that I got for Christmas, Clint. Did you mean pilot Axe?
no buddy, I was referring to the Guitar lamp.
-
Awesome Dan they are some great looking customs mate, well done!!
-
My mistake, Clint. Thanks Trev!
-
Nice custom!
-
Thank you very much!
-
Those are looking sweet Dan! And might I add, your new sig banner and avatar are simply stunning!
-
Thanks Pat. The banner's all thanks to Jules, by the way. I should be posting some more soon.
-
Ganch looks great USD
I like the idea to put the holsters on the chest and also Bly is a great custom
-
Mate loving what you've done with the figures excellent work.
Ron
-
Thanks guys!
-
nice customs dan like commander ganch hes awsome
-
Thanks, Colin. Tomorrow's Friday, so it should be another custom filled weekend for me! I already have a case set up for each week's custom of the week, using a Titanium Diecast Figure Case.
-
sweet ur very organized with ur customs i just find somthing on the floor and paint it or add gear
-
That works too, lol! ;D Since I don't really display more than one or two at a time, they don't really clutter my room.
-
I stopped over at ToysRus yesterday, but to my dismay, I came home empty. Looks like Wal-Mart really takes those online surveys for real. The only reason I say so is because they hardly had any figures before I took it, but after I came home with FIVE new figures. Looks like I'll have to check there again some time.
By the way, no luck with the Snowtrooper, Shawn.
-
about snow trooper one day i was at wal-mart and there was a snow trooper and i looked at it closely and guse what the helemt wasnt there !!!!!! ithere some one took it or some thing els i did notic that it was super glued shut
-
Common thief or Hasbro mispackage? Could make for a good story, Collin.
-
Common thief or Hasbro mispackage? Could make for a good story, Collin.

-
I haven't been able to comment in a while Dan but, Bly and Ganch are superb.
-
Hey clone general where r ur customs?Havent seen them
-
My customs are under, Clone General's Customs and Collection. You may have to go back a few pages in the customs thread.
-
no i know about your older customs but do you have any knew ones
-
Funds are a bit scarce at the moment with helping Louie out, but I will have some customs for you! Here are some of my upcoming custom projects:
Phase 2 Commander Bly w/o Pauldron nor Kama.
Phase 2 Commander Faie as seen on Kasshyyyk(Yellow Armor, similar to 327th Legion Trooper).
Phase 2 Alpha-17, from the Battle of Boz Pity.
Phase 2 Clone Trooper Commander with Fin on the helmet, as seen in some of the CW Comic Books(Mini Comic Books).
and...
SOME MORE STAFF TROOPERS!
-
Can't wait to see 'em Dan!
-
Time to get this running again. Another staff figure is being produced right now, and thanks to Clint, another figure is on its way. If anyone has any Sandtroopers that they want to give a way, please consider PMing me.
-
as always mate love the customs :D
-
Thanks, Lee! Okay, my next custom up is an addition to the Staff line. Aside from having Tamer, or Shawn done, my next custom is:
ISY Administrator Phatty a.k.a. Pat!
-
that is brilliant dan great job
-
Nice work, Dan. He looks great!
-
Thank you Lee. Clint, the one you shipped to me will be in honor of you.
-
That is too cool my friend keep up the good work.
-
Thank you very much.
-
Very nice.
-
Thanks, Wayne!
-
Nice custom dude
-
The Stormie Pat looks awesome USD.

-
Thanks guys! By the time I'm done, there will be a whole Stormie staff.
-
Wow! I am FLATTERED! Thank you so much, Dan!
-
No problem, Pat!
-
Another Staff Figure is up and running! Expect to see that later.
-
Great work Dan.
-
Very nice customs U.S.D
-
Thanks, Brian. Is that you, Michael? How's it been?
-
this new one is sweet, i love that red
-
Thank you! Now, here's one that took a bit longer, but was worth all of the extra work. For the third installment into the ISY Staff Collection,:
ISY Global Moderator Clonehead a.k.a. Clint!
For the first picture, it's just a regular shot, and I provided headshots for both front and sides. I also gave a look at the shoulder-pauldron, in which I put the first initial of the Staff Member's Screen Name, this case being C.
-
A final teaser shot of the three Staff figures main so far.
-
Another winner, Dan!
-
Very nice, I am sure Clint will be pleased.
-
Clonehead looks cool. Your paint apps look fantastic too, from what i can see!!
-
Thanks, Brian. Is that you, Michael? How's it been?
It's been good USD, long time no talk. I will try and be in the chatroom later on in the week while dad goes on duty. I just took it upon myself to create my on account. I've been up to a lot of Clone Wars and Legacy customs since late 2009. Nice work on that stormtrooper.
-
Nice!!
-
Thanks guys! I'm not really complete until I have the whole set installed.
To the other staff, a dilemma I came across was whether or not to include Doc? I say yes, but technically he isn't. What's your guys' take?
-
I made a custom gift for my friend which I will place up shortly!
-
Here you go! Based on Jay's series of Commandos that he's been unveiling, I decided to do a commando that we all know and love: Fixer, of Delta Squad. Although it is a keychain, I tried to adapt a CW series Commando, and this is the product.
Recipe:
I started out with a Captain Rex keychain, and using an exacto knife, sliced off the fin and the antenna, and then painted him up with Metallic Blue, Green, an White paints!
Hope you guys enjoy.
-
that looks ace dan ,well done!!
-
looks great!
-
Thanks! Jay, as I said, this is just another custom in honour of you, or based off of one of your fantastic customs.
-
there is no bigger compliment a customizer can get ..
-
cool commando ;)
-
Great looking figure mate.
Ron
-
cool, commando figure, nice work!
-
extremely awesome CW RC custom
great job USD
10/10
-
Thanks guys!
-
great clones!!
You do great work!!
Keep it up!!
Would love to see more!!
Rich
-
Thanks! If I can find a stormy, Wayne will be next in the Staff Collection.
-
Wayne, the fig is completed, but without my computer, I doubt I can upload it. I'll try!
-
No computer once more, but I did fashion up a clone using a Padme headress, a Darth Maul body, and a clone head, with some specialty weapons.
-
Sweet Fig Dan!! Even if hes painted Packers green!! ( Go Vikes!!!! )
-
Sweet Fig Dan!! Even if hes painted Packers green!! ( Go Vikes!!!! )
Vikings? Go Steelers!
-
Gotta love the lamp!!! tha clone is awsome cool colors!
-
As I've been saying a lot recently, my computer is due back soon and with it, I have a few customs to post.
-Wayne, or Reconsgt's, Staff figure
-High Lord Sethon( Custom name and story)
-Captain Blanch (Jet trooper)
-
Happy to see you back cant wait to see those customs
;D
-
Thanks!
-
Three more to posr upon my return!
-
Dan, the anticipation is killing me.
-
Me too. I can't do much except hold the pictures in my phone until I get my computer back.
-
Here are the customs I've done, since MY COMPUTER'S BACK!!!!!!!!!!!
First off, I have a Clone Commander, Phase II. Pretty Basic.
-
Next up, I have my custom entry for the EU Clone Contest. An Aerial Assualt Clone Trooper Captain, this was originally a Phase 1 custom, but I modified it to Phase II. There are some jetpack shots included.
-
Nice Man ;D
-
Next up, I have, "Baron Sethon." A character from the book I've been writing, he is the leader of many legions of soldiers(unnamed forces as of yet). I used film to insert into a Padme headress in order to make the helmet, with a Maul Body and lightsaber. What do you think?
-
Now, I have the staff collection figs!
First up, a long awaited figure, Administrator Reconsgt a.k.a. Wayne.
Some things I'd like to point out. I did not include a pauldron on him, but as Wayne is an Admin., his high rank and experience led me to the addition of several weapons. Here you are, Wayne.
-
Now, I have two figures, from the staff collection, of course, of Jay and Greg, or Wraithnine and Darth Aussie. Jay, I didn't know what to do for you, so I applied a regal paint job. He can sport a jetpack, if needed. Greg, I went with an Australian flag design for the chest. I hope you guys like it!
-
I would like to point out, Jay, that I included the knowledge of the flags you informed me of. On the chest is the Blue, Red, and White Flag, but on the helmet and shoulders, I included the basic Red Striped, White background flag. Only three more figs to go: Jules, Chad, and Myself. Also, I have a teaser shot of the staff figures so far!
-
Nice figs. Can't wait for the other three. bbfet
-
nice customs man!
-
that looks great dan!
heres a tidbit of info for you most people mistakenly call our flag "the union jack" its actually only called that when its flown from a ship other wise its known as "the union flag"
the red cross on the white background is the true english flag (the union flag is made up of the elements of the welsh, scottish and english flags)it is called "the cross of St George"
-
Good lord Dan, when you give us an update, you go all out! I love em all buddy. I think I was supposed to do an australian flag trooper for Greg.
-

Thanks guys! I'd love to see y0ur trooper, Clint!

the red cross on the white background is the true english flag (the union flag is made up of the elements of the welsh, scottish and english flags)it is called "the cross of St George"
I did not know that, Jay. May I ask who St. George is? (English history isn't my forte.) I believe, when I was researching for a true English Flag picture, I came across the Scottish flag, white x across blue background, but nothing about St. George.
-

St George is the Dragon Slayer of myth and is the patron saint of england ,scotlands is St Andrew,Irelands is St Patrick but for the life of me i cant remember the welsh one ....maybe St David :-\
-
Highly interesting. I'll search to see who the Welsh Saint is.
-
I just love that Baron Sethon fig, Dan! To the front page with you, I say.
Later fellers, I got rained out today and am going fishing.
-
those are really great theyre all unique love it!!
-
Jay, i never knew it is commonly called the union flag! Here in Australia, we always refer to our symbol on the flag as the union jack, and to the english flag (blue background) also as the union jack.
USD, great figures btw!! I really love Recon's trooper with all the added fire power!!
-
I do like that uk one mate dan lol i`ll see u tonight
-
OUT OF THIS WORLD GREAT JOB, DAN!!!!!!
-
Thanks guys!
Clint, what an honor, once again. Thank you very much! I had a feeling it would go there.
Definitely, Lee, definitely.
-
Nice update USD! I really like that Baron figure. The head gear looks great with the robe.
-
A lot of comments on Baron Sethon. Looks like my book creations are popular! Thank you.
-
I have a new custom, along with a bio. for he and Sethon.
-
Hey, Dan! Finally got a chance to back up and see your most recent fig's - that Baron looks SHARP! I've been wondering what all could be done with that Amidala headdress and so now you've added one to my list. Love the "flag-paint" schemes, too - very creative! (wish I'd thought of it, honestly) And y'know - I can totally see our own Reconsgt looking just like that!
Looking forward to more from ya!
-
Thanks Doc! I have some designs drawn up so far for your figure, and I'm scrambling to do multiple things right now:
-Get Four More Stormies
-Finish your Design
-Post on the front page(doing right now)
-Right into my book
-Post my other two customs(doing now, as well)
As well, I hope to see some of your customs, if I'm not imposing. I loved all the old ones you had made!
-
You, sir, have a full plate! Best advice I can give you - remember, one bite at a time and soon you are done. I just went back to work, so now I can *afford* the supplies for my customs - but the time to *build* is short! *sigh* Well, at least we can eat and put new clothes on growing kids! I am right now heading off from the job-site in search of a bank ... and happen to know I'll be within recon distance of TWO superWalMarts and a hobby lobby! Perhaps this ol' pirate will find a treasure or two that can be worked into the list of customs which seems to grow daily. So I have to remember my own advice - the plate gets emptied, one bite (however small) at a time!
-
Here's two of my latest customs:
The first one is a Jedi version of myself. Pretty much, my buddy made a figure of me with his Obi-Wan, so I did the exact same thing. It's a pretty simple custom, with a change of lightsaber, and removal of that stiff coat that came with him.
The second one is placed next to the Baron. This one is a Mando, whom in my book works alongside a group of rebels to take down the Baron's rule. These rebels are of Coleman Trebor's species, although this one bears there colors, he is human. He is a disguised Jedi, and is posing as a Mando to infiltrate the Barons palace. (I'll leave it at that so I don't spoil the _ _ _ _ _ of the _ _ _ _ _.)
Doc, good luck! I hope you find something highly memorable to your customizing.
-
Nice customs. bbfet
-
Next up, I have, "Baron Sethon." A character from the book I've been writing, he is the leader of many legions of soldiers(unnamed forces as of yet). I used film to insert into a Padme headress in order to make the helmet, with a Maul Body and lightsaber. What do you think?
i like this, i like the contrast of black and white
-
Thanks! I really appreciate everybody's personal critique. Lets me know if I'm doing an awesome job or not!
-
Man theres something about that robed one it just looks so cool love it!!!
-
Thanks! I had to go for a scary look, and that was the best I could create. I didn't want to add a red lightsaber to affiliate him with the Sith though, so this is what I have created.
-
cool customs
-
dan those are terrific
-
Thanks guys! I have two more Staff figures to post. That makes 10 customs in two days!
-
I have two new figures: Chad, or Darth C's Staff Figure, as well as Michael, or DocOutlands' Staff Figure. I hope you guys enjoy! (The green and black is Doc's, the Yellow and Black is Chad's)
-
Now, I have the staff collection figs!
First up, a long awaited figure, Administrator Reconsgt a.k.a. Wayne.
Some things I'd like to point out. I did not include a pauldron on him, but as Wayne is an Admin., his high rank and experience led me to the addition of several weapons. Here you are, Wayne.
Looks great Dan, I love it
-
No problem, Wayne.
-
Those are some VERY nice customs! A fantastic tribute to our staff! Can we get a group shot of them all?
-
wow great staff customs USD
btw I agree with Pat. A group shot of them all would be very nice.
-
Doing it right now!
-
Here you go! I had to take it in increments, or you wouldn't be able to see much, lol.
-
Thanks a lot.
I can't choose a favorite, they look all great.
-
As I am nearing the conclusion of the set I strived so to complete, I have some sentiments I wish to address. But before I get to those, I would like to point out some key dates: December 23, 2009: I introduced the first figure into the Staff Collection. January 9, 2010: I was elected onto the Staff. The reason I listed these events was because I feel this set helped me earn a position on the Staff. Now, I will address you each personally.
Pat - You are the jokester of ImperialShipYards at times, but you are also a mature leader. Your the guy that gets on well with the public and his "comrades". Overall, you are one of those people who make a place so great and fun!
Shawn - Serious and no nonsense at times, but at other times you're loose, just fun. Overviewing front page post, by posting many yourself, is in my mind, what you do best. Your descriptions are greater than anything I could address, which makes great qualities for an Administrator.
-
Wayne - At first, you were the guy that I didn't really know, but respeced. That respect has grown since I've become aqquainted with you. You're the guy who helps others without knowing it, and mostly no jokes, you are a joker in your own way.
Clint - I respect you highly, for your custom-making is phenominal. You're socially active, even when not on a computer, and always willing to help. You essentionally lured me here with your customs, and are always willing to help out. The hospitality and kind words when I first joined up at ISY really lured me in!
Greg - You were here long before me, and I didin't know you for the first six months. Then, we met, and you were the "honorable" foreigner making friends world wide, and watching our backs at U.S. Nightfall, making you the perfect Moderator candidate.
-
Chad - Agai. Overall, you're job makes you respectable and highly appreciated heren, you were the guys who was on when I was off. Although we haven't personally socialized much, you take care of the little things that we'd be rumbling along without. Overall, you're job makes you respectable and highly appreciated here.
Jules - The true man who gets thank yous everyday. Jules, you've had a position open up for you because you're so good at what you do. You've brought color and life to this little corner of fandom, and I speak for all of us when I say, we'd have no one else but you doing your job!
Jay - You hit us like a freight train with your customs. In fact, you've attracted at least half of the members here, most good friends of mine. I was stunned when I first saw your customs, and you're knowledgable in every aspect I can think of. It's great to have you!
-
Doc - Finally, Doc, you are a great man. Simple. You carry an essence through just a glance at your username. A natural leader, who through leave lost his position. I'd like to think of it as honorable discharge, for you show up, helping out, fulfilling the duties of Staff Members. You show no disgrace in loss, for as long as you have Star Wars, there really is no loss. That is why you're the guy I respect the most on this staff team, for you introduced pride to most of us, in our customs. You are truly a wise man.
-
I have two more customs to complete, and every installation will be worth the effort. When I am complete, you guys can be able to say that, "I've had a custom figure made after me." Actually, you could say, "I've had a custom figure made after me!", lol. It's great to serve with such men as yourselves, making this probably the best place in the world to be.
-
Believe it or not, I already have another custom going, lol! This time, it's the Emperor's Personal Senate Guard, as seen with him in the CW Episode, "The Zillo Beast Strikes Back."
-
Very cool, Dan!! My middle daughter was looking over my shoulder and said, "Hey! That matches your green eyes! Did he do that on purpose?"
I'm glad we've got a staff on these forums that are as attentive to keeping a balance between maintaining decorum and leaving creativity unfettered. My hat is off to the guys who put in such dedicated hours!
-
Lol, Doc. Thanks!
My next custom is up: A Senate Guard personal to the Supreme Chancellor of the Republic. I've gotten the idea from the latest CW episode, but unfortunately no official pics. See if you recognize him! I've included a shot of the quilt pauldron.
-
I can't wait for you to get a camera with a macro setting! ;D How'd you make the shoulder-cape/pauldron? And did you fill in the visor with a dark film or something? I need to find me an Argys fig so I can make copies of that helmet! I'd love to see some Legacy-style Senate Guards.
-
I used a Jango Poncho to make the cape, and a stamp "stand" to construct the visor. A simple custom.
-
I have another custom. This time, a Clone Wars Commando. I'll give you a story soon, as well as some pictures!
-
LOVE IT ! LOVE IT ! LOVE IT ! GREAT JOB DAN :D I NEED TO CATCH UP WITH THE CW FIGS BUT UK AINT THAT GREAT LOL
-
You'll be able to catch up with two new figs... ;) I'm getting them out to you tomorrow. The Thire and Rys.
-
woo hoo :D lol cheers pal

-
I have quite a few figures that I have to post for my return.
-
hmmmmmmm I'll think about that :)
-
rebel pilots hmmmmm
-
Now, my return to customs: I have a massive update for you guys:
The first figure pictured is Sergeant Moss, out of the 419th Attack Corps. He served under the next pictured man, Commander Jay, who is the Legion Commander of the 419th.(Not named after our Jay, it is just that I was watching MIB2 when I was naming him. Next up is Commander Sparky, Temporary Legion Commander of the 500th Reinforcement Ops Corps. During a mission to a fatal jungle planet, Commander Flare, who was the Legion Commander, and is pictured below him, was LIA. They deemed him MIA, and Sparky was upranked, which is where Blimey comes in: to take Sparky's former rank. Here you guys go: I hope you enjoy!
(Pictures will go up later, as I don't know where the USB chord for my phone is.)
-
Cool customs man! Darn i want a cat....
-
Lol.
-
cant wait to seee i loooooooooveeeeee customs
-
I have also made a Mereel and A'den to go along with my Ordo and Prudii. Now all that's left to aquire are Jaing and Kom'rk
-
Wow, I need to find the chord to this camera! I still have to post Moss, Jay, Sparky, Flare, Mereel, A'den, as well as all six Null ARCs! I also have, which I thought would be a cool project, a Tor Vizsla carded! I really have to find this camera chord!
-
FOUND IT! First up are Flare/Sparky(Left to Right), Jay, and Moss. I will allow you to read the stories that I had wrote above, when I first tried to post these.
-
Next up, I have all the Null ARCs. I suppose not much of a background story needs to be told, as they are not my characters. Here they are: Prudii, Ordo, Kom'rk, Mereel, Jaing, and A'den. The ones whose helmets could come off were removed, but I hope you guys enjoy them.
-
Finally, I have my custom Tor Vizsla. Tor Vizsla was the founding member of the Death Watch, and as many collectors are seeking a Pre Vizsla, I thought the next best thing to him would be his father, so therefore, I have created a Tor Vizsla, and to give him the authentic Hasbro effect, I resealed him into his case. I thought the light would give him a better look, so I moved him off the backdrop of Saleucami, which I recently aquired for customs-photo shooting, to let the details shine. I improvised on the helmet, as I could not find one, but I believe it is one that bears the symbols a Death Watch leader would incorporate on their helmet. Although not noticable through the plastic, I did include the Death Watch insignia on his left shoulder pad. May I present my first carded custom, Tor Vizsla... Enjoy!
-
Fierfek! I forgot to show you guys the ISY logo I "stamped" on the back. I'll get a picture of it up tomorrow.
-
Nice work Dan! I do love custom cards.
-
Thanks, Clint. I tried to make him look as rugged as possible, to seem a true Mando.
-
great job dan!!!
-
AWESOME JOB USB CAN'T WAIT TO SE MORE!
-
AWESOME JOB USB CAN'T WAIT TO SE MORE!
I had to laugh at the mis-typed abbreviation: USB, lol. Thank you two. I'm probably going to tackle my IFT-X, by repainting it to look like the ones featured in Battlefront II. I like how they were going for a "501st" look to it, to make it similar to ones featured in comics, but I'm fine with an ordinary one. I might even transform it into an IFT-T.
-
nice customs man! ;D ;D ;D
-
Thanks, CL!
-
Very nicely done.
Ron
-
nice customs!! i really like A'den
-
It's been awhile since I've posted some customs, but I'm sending a package to my good friend Lee and am throwing in some extras, two Black Ops Troopers. May I introduce Viper and Torn out of the 419th Black Ops Battalion. They are very special, for they've grown up and have seen everything together. Bear with me, as these are WIP pics. Enjoy!
-
Now, the final shot. I have filled in the lattice spacing on Torn's legs with a simple black overcoating, and was also inspired by Omega Squad to add a blue tinged visor to a helmet of black. Here you go. (Torn's is the one with a Black Helmet, and Viper is the one with a "Bandanna" on his helmet."
-
Fuzzy images but your composition is great...you need to get a better camera my friend...you have talent.
-
wow the 419th Black Ops Battalion troopers are awesome USD
I like the black markings
great job
-
Kewl. I really like that mando
-
awesome job man!
-
I apologize for the fuzzy images, Jules. Camera phones...
Thank you for your comments. I was just customizing two clones to fill roles I needed. Fortunately, they turned out great to me... ;D
-
For my next customs, I have finally forced myself to complete the Staff Collection. I had to sacrifice my EVO and Jumptrooper, but Jules, your figure is done, as well as my own personal figure. Here you guys go, and I hope you enjoy. I've included a teaser, with all the Staff Members in formation.
-
As completion of my Staff Collection, I would like to say a giant thank you to the the rest of the Staff. Thank you, for all the work you do, Front Page and on the Forums, and finally, I would like to ask the rest of the members to wish the Staff a Thank You. ;D
-
good job dan
-
Thanks, Charlie. I really liked the turn out of Jules' figure. I wish I could send these out to the ones they depict, but unfortunately, I can't.
-
Look at that killer squad! Nice additions, Dan.
-
Those all look great, Dan! Nice work, my friend.
-
They look really nice man!
-
Thank you for your comments, guys! I love that I'm finally done with the set.
-
Sweet customs man!
-
Thanks, Spencer.
-
It has just occurred to me that I haven't completed a custom in a long while. Here's my next project that I'm working on:
I plan to use a black film insert as a visor on one of the Nikto Guard helmets, and attach that to the Nikto Guard, as well as give him a paint touch up, possibly Senate Guard themed. he may just turn out to be one of High Lord Sethon's(previous custom) followers. Wish me luck...
-
The "Senate Guard" themed custom I had posted about is now complete. I will get pictures up soon, with this figure next to my "Chancellor's Personal Guard".
As for my next custom, I plan to make a squad of 501st Stormtroopers. What I mean by this is a couple of Imperial Troopers repainted to look like Clone Troopers(Paint Design.) This is meant to be an early Empire fanticization. Wish me luck.
-
wow man!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
nice ()rr
-
I'm going to make a checklist of the figures I'd forgotten to post, but will get up soon:
-Eagle Squadron General Erinos (Mando Armor, with Yellow Commander Recognitions)
-Senate Guard Themed Soldier
-Eagle Squadron (Post Clone Wars) Commander Jay
-
Also as listed in my Star Wars Sales thread, I have for sale two very prized customs of mine. Up for sale are Commander Fil, from Season 1 of the Clone Wars TV series, and Commander Ganch, from the Clone Wars comic book found at Star Wars. com. The listing of these figures is to decide whether or not to head over to eBay with them, and to also see what interest they peak. Feel free to PM me with any reasonable offers!
-
What did you use for the commander fil helmet
-
Do you mean the spotlights? They were little, custom made fragments. The guy I purchased it from drilled holes into the helmet, placed these pieces inside, and sealed it in with superglue. A very great job, if I do say so myself.
-
Okay, guys, I'm in the process of listing the items on eBay. Feel free to head over to my "eBay Sales" section and check out the figure(s) you're interested in! Happy bidding!
http://www.imperialshipyards.net/SMF/index.php?topic=5564.msg83368#new

-Faie (Post Armor Modifications)
-

-
Merry Christmas!
-
Happy New Year!
-
My customs section was pushed back all the way to the second of January... Officially, I'm picking this up, dusting it off, and placing it back in a spot of honor... I have A LOT of customs I did that I've neglected to post. Look forward to them tomorrow. :D
-
Looking forward to the posts!
-
Great work and looking forward to seeing what you have done.
Ron
-
Hey guys,
I recieved a figure in the mail today, and right as I set him up, I noticed his torso joint was really loose. Does anyone know how to fix this? (This is the first time it's happened to me, and it's pretty bad, to the point where it sways around like a bobble-head if you shake it. It's the purple Fi Skirata Commando Fig, if that helps)
-
Never mind about that cry for help, earlier. I managed to cut a small enough, thick enough piece of paper that I wedged into the gap to create friction. This way, it moves like a regular figure without any of the "looseness" that I was experiencing earlier.
-
Well, guys, I haven't been able to work on a custom in months (seeing as I think my paint work ruins good figures, since it is poor quality paint to begin with...). I have, however, made one of those "parts mix-up" clones, the type of custom you just put random pieces on. If you're familiar with Major Twelve of Hawkbat Battalion, this is supposed to be my rendering of him. (Please stay post-poned a few minutes while I take some pics.)
-
I'm happy with how my new camera's turning out; the pics are SO much better, but, the battery life drops rapidly... :-\ I'll have to pick up heavy duty batteries, or specialty ones for cameras (from Duracell, I believe). Anyhow, this post shouldn't be about cameras or batteries, lol. Here's Major Twelve, Hawkbat Battalion (my personal rendering.)
-
Major Twelve and then-Captain Deviss
-
cool
-
New camera is looking like it's doing real well for you! Sharp images of some sharp customs, my man.
-
Awesome custom man :o :o
-
Padme cloak and a helmet "pad" from a certain AT-TE Gunner? Sharp look!
and BRAVOBRAVOBRAVO on the new camera!!! Your pics are GREAT now!! I highly recommend you set up a simple backdrop (or three) an go back through your customs and reshoot them with the new camera and repost them.
-

Somehow I knew you'd say something like that, lol. (For the AT-TE Gunner...) Believe it or not, I actually got the cloak and the helmet pad from a friend of mine, along with a Blue AT-RT Driver; all it cost me was an Imperial Knight and an Astromech Droid. As for the customs, I'm getting new paints, and touching up ALL of them, even the staff figures. The paints I use now I get from Wal-mart, and they're terrible; I highly recommend against them... :-\
-
Finished five of the staff figures today, with three left to do... Yes, it wasn't a mistype: three. I just discovered two have gone missing, and unless I put them somewhere besides the three cases I keep all my figures in, I think my brother's friend stole them... :-\ Ah well, I'll try to acquire another EVO Trooper, and a Jumptrooper...
To L.E., I know I promised you a staff figure a LONG time ago, and I haven't gotten around to it, yet. Do you mind re-specifying which colors you'd said you wanted on it. You can even go as far as picking the base figure (of course, as long as it's an Imperial Trooper of some sort.)
-
Finished! Here you guys go; hope you enjoy the repaints...
-
More...
-
The next two, Jay and Greg (Wraithnine and Darth Aussie), were the ones with the biggest changes added. For both figures, I had the Union Flag (Australian for DA) on the chest, and when looking at it last night, I couldn't help but think, "What made me do that?!". Anyhow, I redid the paint jobs similar, enough to give a hint of the old figures, but not fully the same. Greg's is probably the one I'm most proud of. I'm liking the look of the Union Flag, minus the Scotland Flag... But, I felt it should be included, so I moved the Cross of Saint Andrew up to the helmet. Check out what I mean:
To Jay, I utilized a good deal of English history on yours. For the left shoulder and the right leg, I painted on the Cross of Saint George, which you'd taught me all about. The reason the cross is on the left shoulder, though, is because in the Middle Ages, when there would be jousts, the riders would be opposite of each other, but always on their right of the center divider; thus, the pole would always strike them on the left side. As for the chest symbol, I used a Crusades cross, but modified it slightly to look reminiscent of the symbol on Clint's figure. (The symbol is supposed to give the slight impression of an "M", for Moderator).
-
Those are great! ;D
-
I'm working on the repaints of Sparky and Flare, now; these guys are "sloppy", to say the least, as they were my first two, but, I'm hoping this repaint will make them shine.
-
Sparky and Flare (revamped);I'm quite happy with how these turned out; the paint apps are smooth and straight, and the new camera really does them justice; I did all the weathering by hand (with a Sharpie...) I also added the pauldron, the gun "bag" from an Airborne Trooper, and the force-pike to Flare (which was made from a Sandtrooper pike). The backpack and duel-wield conc. rifles were added to Sparky. Enjoy!
-
One more:
-
they look very cool Dan ,and i'm glad you've been brushing up on your english history ;)
-
they look very cool Dan ,and i'm glad you've been brushing up on your english history ;)
Thanks for the comment Jay; yes, I have been... It's quite fascinating. I'm quite intrigued currently about the time period before there was even a "United" England, and there were just kingdoms such as Sussex and Wessex. But, the modern history is great, too...
-
ahh your talking about the period 432AD -1066 AD also known as the "Dark Ages"
-
I still can't find my staff figure, or that of Jules', so, through a good friend of mine, I managed to acquire a Jumptrooper. As usual, the first pic is the former paint job, the second being the more recent. Here's my figure, re-vamped... Enjoy! (As for the remaining staff figures, I believe I can have them completed by Tuesday or Wednesday, granted I can acquire some Stormies. Might have to look into getting the new TRU Force Unleashed Battlepack :D)
-
I loved the look of the US flag on my figure, so, I also added one to Greg's. (I have it propped in his holster, as his hands are full with his blaster...)
-
This is a nice batch! ;D
-
This is a nice batch! ;D
Thanks!
I decided to create a secondary banner for my guy, to assimilate more with Greg and the "Southern Cross"... I utilized the Grand Union Flag (a really old version of the US flag) but stretched out the Great Britain canton, just to the center of the piece. That way, it gives it that United Kingdom look, whilst remaining a flag once flown by the United States.
-
Like the paint apps on these guys.
-
I remember the grand union flag from social studies and to me it looks like it great work! ;D
-
Hey, will you guys have a look at my wanted list? It's kind of difficult to do custom work without fodder, and, my area's terrible when it comes to finding what I need. :-\

-
Seeing how well the Staff customs came out, re-done, I'd decided to redo my CW ones, as well. I have to say, they look absolutely amazing, and much better than before. The one I'm most proud of is this one figure that's been stuck with me for quite a few months now... Anyhow, I've had several paint jobs on him, and could never find the one that stuck... It got to the point where I just painted the whole figure white (everything but the joints), and threw it in a fodder box. Well, I think I found the perfect one for him. (Pics up in the morning. For now, *yawn*, I'm off to bed. )
-

Here are those customs I promised, a bit late, I'm sorry; I've been helping a friend out all week, and this is the first time I could free up some time to take the pics. These guys are repaints, except for Eiffe. I added weathering to all of them, and straightened out the paint jobs immensely; I also fixed the "color problem", where some of the men had a dull blue on, and the others had a HIGHLY reflective blue on. Now, they all bear the same color... Finally, I cleaned off their joints (some had paint all over them from my carelessness when I first made them, but, I was sure to be very careful, this time around. After all, I really wanted these customs to be ones I could display with pride, and not have sit in a box of shame. Overall, I think I did quite well on these guys... What are your opinions?
Here's a little back story on how these clones all fit into my fan-novel...
On the planet Ralvine, the Grand Army of the Republic's newly formed 500th Reinforcement Ops Corps was sent to rendezvous with a "classified" legion, for "classified" orders; rumor had it that they were to be aiding a local rebellion, a planet's people crying out against the CIS' crushing heel. Flare, the Legion Commander, appointed just the week before, was killed when a "terrorist missile strike by the local militia" downed his LAAT/i. That's what intel said, anyhow. The Jedi that precided over the legion, General Erinos, was blamed, even though the orders came from the Supreme Chancellor's office. Sparky, the Captain serving under Flare, was bumped up to Acting-Legion Commander, pending further investigation by the Republic. A skilled Private, Blimey, was fast-tracked to Captain. General Erinos, facing trial, was found not-guilty, but, the courts decided to suspend his Legion General status. Another Jedi, Mensaura Gowards, would take over half the legion. With Sparky at the helm of Gowards' legion, and Blimey with Erinos, things started to get normal again.
On the training planet of Reevus IV, the Separtist's began a counter-offensive to kill a great portion of the Republic's trained troops stationed there. The 419th Black Ops Battalion was the primary force on the ground, led by Commander Jay. This legion was directed solely by General Erinos. As they began the Defense of Reevus IV, General Erinos directed the 500th to the planet, to remove the Separatist threat. When arriving on site, Blimey noticed a new trooper, a Lieutenant, behaving as if he was in control. Blimey set him straight, in a well-mannered way, and when asking his name, the man replied, "CT-4137; Clank". The Captain recognized the trooper as being Sparky's third in command. It was odd that he would've been transferred to General Erinos' squad.
Anyhow, the Separtist invasion is repelled, and General Erinos is sent to a space station in the middle of nowhere, to re-supply for their next mission, to a planet named Zabrash to take down a dictator, High Lord and Baron Sethon... He's almost killed by assassins, but, with the help of a trooper named Eiffe, he lives. The trooper was apart of the Republic Navy, and First Mate aboard the space station. While evacuating, Erinos runs into a female Jedi his age, that turns out to be Mensaura Gowards. She, and the remnants of her troops on the station not killed by the assasins (Acting-Commander Sparky and his SECOND in command, Major Stripe) decide to accompany Erinos on his mission. Besides, it's obivous someone is trying to kill them, but for what reasons are not obvious. The team goes to Mandalore, for help with some armor (they can't infiltrate Sethon's palace as Republic soldiers, Erinos' former friend Brihtric Ralet points out, the General's contact on Mandalore...)
To wrap this up quickly, the team gets side-tracked to Ralvine, and while "on some strange jungle planet", unkown to be Ralvine, they come across Flare, who lives. Flare is re-instated as Commander of the 500th, on the spot, by General Erinos. They go to their mission on Zabrash, and with the help of Vurk and Verpine rebels living on the planet, capture Zethon. Mensaura is killed by Zethon, when he breaks out of captivity, and Zethon is killed by Erinos and the clones in return. However, Erinos, falling in love with Mensaura along the way to Zabrash, greaves over her dead body. Whilst trying to hide his emotions, and turn away from the sight of her corpse, the men of her squad throw the body off the bridge she is killed on, into a valley below (the men, except for Sparky). Shocked, Erinos, Blimey, Eiffe, Flare, and Jay have little time to reach their weapons. They find out from Stripe's confessions that the men were behind the bombing that was supposed to kill Flare. They're the ones that let Sethon go. He also reveals that he has a bombing squad ready to fire at "enemy troops engaging Republic personnel." He'll make their deaths look like an accident, and be handed full command of the 500th and 419th; before he can give the signal, though, a Verpine General, O'Hare, and master sniper, picks off the two clones, saving the lives of the other men. Sparky, hiding his involvement in it by framing Stripe and Clank, goes on to live, (for now at least... >:D )
(I'll stop there, for if I continue, this will go on forever, and I'll probably start to run into my sequel, lol... Here you guys go; hope you enjoy... :))

(If you see Eiffe's blaster, it's white; I got it that way with the Republic Attack Shuttle (it was inside the left wing of the ship...). Has anyone else found one like this, too, or is was it something Hasbro forgot to paint?)
-
Nice Ones! I like Eiffe's blaster, it shows character.

My first crack at a custom in awhile, I went back and redid my Commander Bly. Same as usual: old pic first, new pics last... What are your thoughts?
(Oh, I was able to score a new background, too...)
-
I also fixed the Flare's pauldron, and the chest symbol on Jay's chest. (I'm considering breaking open my carded Rex to give Jay (419th Commander) a pauldron and/or kama... We'll see.)
-
Ooooo... I like the new pics! Awesome job! Yes a kama would look nice on Flare.
-
Nice customs.love the paint apps as well as the backround, and nice work on the clean crisp photos.they really show the detail in your work.good color schemes too. ;D
-
@OP: Thanks! I mean, my Phase 2 Flare doesn't have a kama, but that's really the only reason against it... Pros: it'd add variety, look cool... :P
@JediMindtrix: Thank you very much. :D I've been dying to find a scheme that works well with Jay (the green one); I think I may've finally settled on the one I like.
-
these all look really nice, Dan. The reworking on Bly makes him look factory fresh.
-
Awesome customs :o
-
@ Clint: Kind of you to say! That's my goal with these re-paints: turning customs I'm kind of ashamed of into ones I'm quite proud of. My next goal is going back through and replacing all the terrible camera-phone pics.
@clone 10: Thank you. ;D

Nice work on the clones.
-
I like that new Bly, on the front page.
-
I have a fondness for Cmdr. Jay...I like the look of the green paint you used there. What color is that exactly?
Nice work on your Bly update as well!

My customs aren't that great, but thanks, Shawn. It means a lot. :)

Nice work on your Bly update as well!
It's called Kelly Green; I believe almost any paint company will have it, as it's a standard color.
-
Good work all the way around with your updates. Better paint-apps, better pics, better background - much improvement all around!

Thanks, Doc! I'm still quite happy with how great my camera is compared to those old pics I took.
Well, guys, 50% of those who voted on the poll in this thread said they wanted, "No custom legion; a Clone Wars character, instead." Soooooo...
I'm going to give Commander Trauma a shot (this guy:)

It'd be my pleasure; should see it up in a few.

Do you guys have any advice for boil-and-popping a CW Clone Torso? I've never boil-and-popped anything, really, but I need the torso of an ARF Trooper atop the waist/legs of a Captain Rex fig.
Also, I'm thinking about swapping out Rex's legs for the ARF's; any advice there, too? Thanks.
Dan, USD.

Should be a cool custom.
