I usually go to some car shows every year about this time and thought that it might be nice to have a place where we could show off some cars that we seen, were thinking about buying, own, or were working on.
This would be a good place to talk about them, also.
I am going to start off with a pic I found today of my current car, the 07 Magnum sxt posed in front of the father in laws slightly older F-250/350 super duty Ford Pickup. It was a size comparrison shot and had to be taken.

hahahaha
I love those man wagons.
I can't imagine why Chrylser went under, "lets put the biggest engine possible in a station wagon"
sure, that won't cause problems. . .
I really like those cars, for the room, but the one I rode in felt like a rocket.
then again, I drive this. . .
hmm, can't find my car in any real shot, but here are segnett and narceron for your viewing pleasure. .

-
What is that? A crown vic? I'll bet that it rides nice.
-
grand marquis, the definitive old man car, and pretty reasonable to even buy new. We priced on this spring at 15k, not horrible.
-
Boy that Magnum looks like its holding its own against a 350. Here is my latest ride;

And for the front end;

The Liberty is now my mudding vehicle as she is getting older.
-
cool plate.
where did you get that? I want on taht says narceron
actually my wife says I can get a vanity plate, but last time I checked, they were costly as all get out.
-
I do like that color, shawn. Some states allow you to go without a front plate. Tamer's must be one of them. Mine isn't.
-
I did the artwork for the plate and then got it done from a local design shop. Cost me about 40some bucks as I recall.
-
wait, I don't have a front license plate, so I can just something cool up there.
Thanks.

No trip to dad's is complete without checking out some of his cars.
Here is a pic or two of his 08 Bullett edition Mustang.
Here is a shot of him returning with the wifey from a white knuckled burnout trip with his open header 89 5.0 LX mustang.
Another shot of the dad with the Bullett

he has the best toys, must have some mad money, is he a hitman?
Does he need an assistant?

Does he need an assistant?
And would he like one?
Sweet ride btw.....

I have been asked the hitman question, before. LOL
No, he is a union electrician and the vice president of his local union. The guns were always a hobby for him.

Here are some shots of some of my former cars.
first two are my first car, a 70 Oldsmobile Cuttless. Man, I loved that car!

This third one is of an 85 Montecarlo LS, that I owned about 12 years ago.

This final shot was of my previous car, an 02 Montecarlo ss. Nice driving car but it's malfunctioning electronic componants kind of soured it for me.
That's my buddy's chocolate lab, "Ozzie", who I am playing fetch with.

Thats funny, my pal casey's dad fits the bill for a hitman, older, quiet, super accurate, cats feet, oh, and is super polite(yep, thats the clincher).

Here are some old shots of my car. not a big one, not a speedy one too (in my mind, I like fast driving, moving is a lack of time, faster I move, better it is)
On the back window, I've put my Sw website logo.
-
I was at the Dodge dealership, Yesterday, to shop for the wifey's new car and I had her get a couple of shots of myself sitting in this sweet SRT Challenger that was on the showroom floor. Nice ride but this one was the big boy and would run you $44,000.00
-
I have been slow to post here, buy I am a big time car guy, I have been into these since I was but a young lad ;) My uncle actually used to build street rods and ever since I can remember I have always been into cars, I have had way more than my fair share and like most sure wish I kept more than one of my past jewels. I have owned well over 100 cars by now. My baby is my 70 1/2 camaro SS-RS 375hp 396 car, I have had that one since I was 17 and in HS. Now it is in long term storage awaiting a total restoration, it is rust free but needs a redo, I'll post pics of that soon, I have had 2 I really regret selling 1 was a 1968 Shelby GT350, I sold to my dad back in 1992, needed a complete redo but was the real deal, and my 1971 Cuda, just a small block car but I loved that style of car.
Over the last few years I have not had much time for my cars but have been busy with others, I redid my dads 1931 Model A 2 door sedan, nice but not my stlye as it is original. Pics to follow, Now I just finished his 1934 Nash coupe, when we get it bacj from paint I will snap some more pics.
Now it's time for one of my side projects, my 1972 Buick GS, I have had it in storage for 4 years and drug it home last weekend, so I started onit today, What a mistake, it's 95 degrees, but I had to get going on it sooner or later. This thing needs alot of work and will nto be a restoration per say but a modern redo of what I want it to be, Now it is bkue as you will see but eventually it will be black with white GSX striping, I am going for more of a pro touring car and will be puttinga 12 point roll cage in the thing as well as a chevy big block rather than the buick 350. Today I ripped a fender off and welded on a patch panel, not fun but a start. Next will be rear quarter panels, and a few floor pan panels, I will be putting in a fuel cell rather than the stock tank so I am not sure what I will do with the trunk yet, maybe just patch it up and apolster it to match the interior.
-
Sounds like a cool project to me, Wayne. Are you going with a stock exterior look or are you going to juice it up, a bit?
-
very nice to see the older rods getting back on the road Wayne, way to go......
-
Got some pics of the wifey's new ride here. 09 Dodge Avenger.
-
and a few more
Shawn, I'm thinking that a nice ISY tag would look real good with that blue, kinda like your truck.
-
And 3 shots of the two machines on the driveway.
-
Sarge, my daughter said you need more fill-lighting in that top-shot of your diorama. ;D
I had to explain that not *every* pic we post on here is a model or action-figure...
...but with Jules around, we can't be sure any more!!!
-
Umm, Clint I don't know how to tell you this, but you've been sold two products by dodge.
Now, just relax and try to think who would hate you so much as to make you take these home. ..
:)
-
Good looking car Clint. I know I sure like my shipyard's plate. Does your state require a front one?
-
Good looking car Clint. I know I sure like my shipyard's plate. Does your state require a front one?
I'm afraid so buddy. Perhaps some embroidered shipyards seat covers would do it.
Somehow I think she would prefer blue birds or butterflies. She came home in a tiff today because someone gave her a little scuff in the parking lot. I had to calm her down and show her the magic of car wax and a little elbow grease.
-
Ah yes, the joys of new car ownership. She would put a force field around it if the technology were there. I remember the first scratch my new truck got. Mine was more than a scuff. Wet sanding is a wonder too.
-
You get very protective of your first car..worst time is when you contemplate moving it on for the next one. gets very sentimental just thinking bout my first rig......lol ;D
-
Got some pics here, taken at a car show in my home town, Clinton mo, last weekend.

More car show pics

more car show pics
last shot is Dad's bullit Mustang

Sweet stuff Clint. I have always been a fan of muscle cars.
-
more car show pics
last shot is Dad's bullit Mustang
I heard that bullits had 3 hidden holograms in them. Have you found any of them? Love that FORD muscle!! I have a '04 SVT Lightning F-150. Why you ask? Because it's fast and I fit in it!!! Thom ;)
-
What kind of hidden holograms, Thom? In the paint or inside the car?
-
VERY nice...... ;D
-
What kind of hidden holograms, Thom? In the paint or inside the car?
I heard that Ford hid three hologram stickers at various places throughout the car so that someone can't just buy parts and pass it off as a Bullit.
They say that one is rather obvious and the other two, you would have to be an idiot to tear the car apart to find - only Ford knows where they are. Thom
-
Understood, Thom
I will tell my dad and see if he can find any.
-
Muscle cars and more guns than neighbors... heckuva guy, your dad!
;D
-
ya sounds like quite an interesting gent..... :D
-
Took the wifey to the Henry County Fair Demolition Derby, last night. There was some hard hitting action as the drivers competed for a $2,000 purse. I have loved watching these ever since I was a kid and have the wife half talked into getting a demo car of our own to enter. I would have to cover the thing with Shipyards logos and SW images.
-
I love that idea Clint. Demo. Derby cars are sure fun. My brother did a few demolition derbies and we had great fun.
-
I spent the mornin g working on my Dad's rod, He wants it all redone so I stared reworking the front fenders and grill, pulled the engine and firewall, My brother in law works at a fab shop and will be making a polished stainless steel panel to replace the gray panel I removed. All in all it went smooth but I would much rather work on these things at my own garage as I am more fully supplied for the big jobs but, as the next series of pics will show, mine is full with my Buick GS and a 1937 Buick coupe. I will eventually end up with Dad's 34 so it's all good ;) The grill was a pain in the arse, getting all the fins redone and sanded, next is primer and paint for the grill, and body work on teh rod, then off to paint hopefully by months end.
-
Now my garage full of projects, My GS is comming along, got the floors cut out pics show only 1 side done, now they are all removed, and just need to wait til early Sept, to get the rest of the floor pans and sheet metal in, there is a large show that I will be picking up the new tin at to save on shipping, next will then be a 12 point cage and then working on the back halving of the car. This one will be a long term project, not a full restoration but a modern interpitation of a street machine. The 37 is done but has a V6 in it so that will be getting a 350 chevy at some point this fall.
-
Daggone those are awesome looking rides Sarge. My brother would be drooling over both of those.
-
I can't wait to see that GS finished!
-
the wifey took these two shots of a new Camaro at a gas station today.

Thats a lot of red! I do like the body style though. Seems to me like a lot of new muscle type cars of mods of the newer Ford Mustangs.
-
As some of you have noticed I have been scare as of late, I had alot going on but I can share a couple of the time killers here.
I got my Dad's 34 back from paint and had to start putting it back together, the pics are from my cell phone so once done I will shoot some better ones with a real camera ;)
last year I pulled it all apart and made some changes. Now it's a big model kit that had to be reassembled. So her are some progress pics of the body done and engine put back in,
last pics are of my 55 I started a week ago, I put the front end back on that, and dropped the 454 in, this hopefully will be done and painted next summer as it is obviosly just in black primer right now as I fit everything in.

You might call it my best custom!!!
I've had it for 4 years.
Hope you guy's like it!!

Got this shot of myself posing in front of a bumble bee camaro at a bike rally in Branson, this weekend.
-
Took Dad's finished car to the first show and took 1st in it's class, that makes me happy as there was alot of time and effort put into this one over the last year,
The first shot is washed with sunlight the second really shows the color well.
-
Man that is awesome! Great effort on it and all the work really shows through. Love the color you chose for it.
-
Man, Wayne, that '34 is amazing looking! And I can't wait to see what you do with your new '55.
Rich, that is a nice ride. Nice ride, indeed.
Clint, I'm thinking you need to get you one of those new Camaros!
-
Wow, Wayne, that is looking sharp.
I love the color.

Got a few pics of my new machine to post. I traded the wagon in on this one. Its a 2012 Dodge Challenger sxt plus with the 3.6 v6 rated at 305hp and 27 mpg from the factory. Since then, I have added a cold air intake and a gte performance chip that should make it more like 340hp and I am currently averaging 32 MPG.
What do you think? Do you think that I will miss the wagon?

that is one sweeeeeeet ride mate ....and the cars not bad either.... ;) lol
-
Looks awesome.
Still, with a gold stripe and three little diamonds you could have been rolling in the Steelermobile!
-
Sweet, I do like the new Challengers and I have been eyeing a hemi srt locally, but that isn't going to happen.
I started driving another little toy last Friday, I have been dying for a little hot rod to just drive the hell out of and enjoy and and had to just do it, a 1942 Chevy cab, 32 Ford grill, and a custom hand made frame, it's a blast and kids love it, it's like driving a cartoon. Over the winter I will plop in my 331 hemi I have held onto for a special occasion ;)
-
Awesome Wayne, love the spider grille.
-
Now that would be a blast to drive around.
-
Got myself another toy, this one will be a track day play toy at Road America and to blast around the back roads on, fully resotred body, 355 cube Chevy full reverse manual valve body th350, partial cage and a much upgraded suspension, I didn't build this one I stole it, rather bought it, dirt cheap. Sometimes it's nice to just turn a key and go but stay tuned, I have a new project on the horizon as well,
-
Wow, looks great Wayne.
-
@ Reconsgt - I love that shape Camaro - def in my top five cars of all time ;D

A buddy sent me these today. Pics of the movie car and then some pics of a couple of 1973 XB GT Ford Falcon Coupes, exclusive to Australia.

Lots of American Muscle in this thread! So here's a pic of some UK muscle, this is a screen saver shot of the same car I drive, my old 1997 4.0 v8 Jaguar XJ Sport usually has a bit more bird pooh on it! Grrrr! This is my 3rd Jag, I have tried to like smaller more economical cars, but nope, I'm a Jag man! Lol! :)
-
Hi Guys,
I currently have a stage 2 tuned mkv gti, I used to have a 1968 Lemans gto clone convertible and 2 1990 Nissan 240sx's, people always love how such a tall person fits in these tiny cars. My dad has a 1967 Chevelle 454 SS and he just sold his 2006 GTO. He also used to have a black 1978 Trans am.
My friend's R Line CC and my GTI, both stage 2 tuned, his is APR mine GIAC

Don't get me wrong I love american muscle, but these turbocharged cars are so easy to make quick. The fact that the GTI got 32 mpg, has tons of cargo room, and this video were my selling factors. This guy has almost the same setup as I do and he beats a 580hp Camaro ZL1 in the 1/4 mile.

I feel like there is a direct correlation between star wars fans and VW. I meet a lot of diehard star wars fans at local VW meets. Just yesterday someone showed up with a star wars bumper magnet and their kid was dressed up like r2d2. Also this other guy has a custom made imperial symbol he mounted on the front of his car and red interior lighting. He also has a german euro plate that says tiefighter, I took a picture of it, I'll try to find it later. Maybe it's all the sweet star wars ads VW does that makes us like them.

Wow, it doesn’t take much scrolling in this thread to see my last new car.
I traded the black one in on this one, Shawn. This is a 16 sxt plus that I’ve had for a year now. On the sticker, it reads the same as the black car with one extra trim package and a 1 step stereo upgrade. This one was a closeout and had been sitting on the lot for a year. I got it for the same price as I did the black one 5 years before. This one is so much nicer than the black one, and faster.
-
Looks good Clint.
-
Wow, Clint, that car is beautiful!! My knowledge of cars is far below my star wars knowledge, but that looks like one sweet ride!
-
Thanks fellers, I am sure happy with it.
This crazy thing has ventelated front seats with a 2 speed fan for cooling your butt and lower back.
In the summer, after about 5-10 min, it feels like you are sitting there in a wet swimsuit.
All of those aminnities that the black car had are a lot more fancy and sophisticated in this newer model.
-
Congratulations to your new car, Clint! It looks VERY nice and has got some decent features! Thanks for sharing & always have a good & safe ride!
- Philipp
-
Ty again
Here is a ft Myers beach shot from last year
We are going to drive back down there in a couple of months
-
Good looking ride Clint. Sure wish it were that warm here now.
I need to get some images of my new truck up here. I don't think I shared that. I even designed a new front license plate for it.
-
A new truck and a new plate, do show.
I dont mind the Toyota’s now, Shawn, I just can’t own one.

Will do, kinda feel the same way about Dodge Clint. ;D

Came across this ‘57 T-Bird on ebay. For 44,900€ ($47,600) I’d love to buy this one - but only if Flubber is included.
What a beauty, isn’t it?

Just came accross this Video from Porsche here:
Porsche 2020 GP Ice Race Highlights
I saw their promotional video for the Superbowl and left a sub to their channel. The shape of the ice track strongly reminds me of a Carrera slot car track.
Yes, I'm talking About yours, Clint! ;D

Yeah, that was a fun video. I loved seeing them race at night. That ice would illuminate brightly under a set of lights.
That t-bird is pretty also
-
Thanks for your Reply, Clint! I was hoping you'd see this! Have a great Weekend & much fun with your cars!
