Awright - there's some decent head-sculpts out there on less-than-loveable bodies. How easy is it to convert a peg head to a nub-head?

depends, do you have a dremel and a steady hand? also, loads of patience.
But once its done, please cast it, so I don't have to try, :)

Um, I have casted neck nubs, doc. Just cut the big nub off, trim the neck nub to fit, drill receiving holes in either piece, insert and glue wire, wala. I did and documented that with Tamer's camo atat driver fig. Didn't you see?

I know what you mean when I find another Needa I'm going to dremel out Tarkin's head and put it on the new body I just need to alter his rank pips somehow.

fairly simple, but you do need a steady hand and a dremel with the right attachments. Have you looked at my retooled terminator? I did this procedure with him. I also did the same thing with my "shadow clone comander".

when hollowing the inside of a head or a helmet, I use a small curved tip wood chisel and a decent sized drill bit and spin it with finger power. I havent tried the dremel thing, yet.

I drilled a broken-off screw out of the frame of my glasses with a Dremel and tiny ball-grinder. I have LOTS of old POTJ2/POTF figs I can practice on... Is there anything in particular I should watch out for?
Heh - and yes, if I get decent adaptations made, I plan to mold them up! You know... Bossk, Snaggletooth, etc etc Folks we ain't seen yet on ball-post necks.

Just watch out for the plastic melting from the heat of friction.Go slow, my man. At least that's what I hear.

actually make your new head's hole slightly smaller than it needs to be and QUICKLY jam it onto the new mount. That way while the plastic is still heated and pliable from the dremeling it will expand and then cool to the right size. BE very careful not to overcut the opening... you'll ruin a head real quick by cutting to big of a socket... unless you have sculpting putty or want to use the hot glue trick to fix it.

Thought I'd get started making heads usuable, cutting them was no problem, not sure how I'm gonna sand them smooth, though

Also working on an armored cop to pack up these guys.
I saw JFAK make gotham PD out of shipwreck, I think I will be giving that a shot.
