Well, I could see my old thread was even more cluttered than my collection so I decided it was time for a new thread.
Well I promised pics back in August, but I did take some time to try to tidy up just a bit and I added a neat little custom shelf to one of my glass door den cabinets using some of the Hasbro Diorama Inserts. I am starting to build up a nice custom collection thanks to the Yarders. That shelf is my favorite part of my collection now (and ofcourse the 12 inch Gunner below that). I will be doing a new update here real soon when I add my big ole widescreen TV (55 inch Vizio) to the mix along with a new book and display cabinets. I will start off the the Youtube Video link (more of a focus on the custom shelf) and then post the pics below.

WOW! What a fantastic collection Shawn! All of those MIB vehicles! And the BMF and ATAT - I'd love one each of those, sadly I have to live with my childhood Kenner ones :)
Really impressive matey, and displayed wonderfully. Love the custom collection too!
All the best
Ray

Quite the collection, my friend. I recognize that blanket in the first photo, and I'm still quite envious of that Boba Fett mini bust you got at a steal! Can you believe I still don't have the AT-AT Driver or Snowtrooper busts? I gotta find just the right price on them.

Thanks Ray, I have two more boxed AT-ATs (newer larger ones in the vintage and regular style box you can see in the last pic still in their cardboard shipping boxes). I can't wait to get those out and display em some day. Once again, I appreciate the comments.

Yepper still have my blanket your wife made for my little gal, stuff like that means more to me than any of the other stuff. I love my Boba Bust, you will find one one day. I think MWC still has the Snowtrooper Bust up for sale, I think. I am anxious to see the latest on your collecetion as I think you were going through a similar purge like I was.

We are starting a Collection Gallery.

Really GREAT collection my friend!!

Really GREAT collection my friend!!
Thanks Serg, nothing like yours, but I like it which is all that matters.
Someday I just know that MR Walker will show up at my door from my favorite Transylvanian. ;D
-
As I always said the idea is to collect what you like. Others can only have an opinion regarding a collection or a collectible but the collection is yours. So you must be happy with it and seems you are. Your collection is really coo and I like it especially the AT-AT's :)l! Do you still consider the AT-AT armor/helmet we talked about?
-
Yepper, sure am but haven't bit on anything that I thought was a good deal yet. Yet being the oppurtune word there. It will happen one day I am sure.
-
Unfortunately hood deals are even harder to come by in this part of the world, trust me. But exactly like you I'm happy with my collection and doing my best to get the items I want, even if working hard and if having to wait for months, until that particular item arrives in my yard. That's why I also have a specific focus and rarely buy something outside it. This helps with budget too...
-
You keep reminding me to finish uploading the rest of my vid collection room, darnit. LOL.
Great collection Tamer.

Hey, L.E., did you scroll down the pics and see your Snowspeeder up on top of my big cabinet with my Vader and Boba Helmets? Its there my friend. I also have big plans for it. The customs my friends make for me are the prized items of my collection.
-
Yes, I did see it at the top of your shelf and I figured you might do a second video if I haggled you enough. haha all in good fun buddy!
-
Well I figured I would show you folks a work in progress to add an entertainment area / bookcase / display shelves to my man cave. I actually got the idea after seeing JKNO's shelves and have actually been waiting two years to implement this as it all revolves around my 55 inch widescreen tv.
This is basically just the tv area and it measures roughly 16 inches deep by 60 inches wide by 85 inches tall. I put the Walker in it to give it a bit of perspective.
You may also notice more routing in the sides which was made for shelf track pilaster strips that I will get in there after this gets a couple coats of poly.
After I get this secured to the wall and square, my next step is to create the two bookcases and get them installed and then it will all recieve a face frame to make it look like an all one piece construction.
-
Looking good Shawn!
-
Looking good Shawn!
Thanks, it will look like a lot more when I get the bookcases added and I do have them routed, but I need to get this part square to the wall so I can get some good width measurements for the bookcases. With plywood at 50 dollars for a 4 by 8 sheet I can't afford to get any measurements wrong. Daggone wood has gone up in the past year I know that!
-
Looks good buddy! Darn you, Shawn..... You have got me looking at 55 inchers now
-
Looking good, Shawn! So what size HDTV are we getting? Looks big enough for a 42"-50" or so, right? It's always fun to do little projects like that. So much more fun and so much nicer than buying from a store.

Thanks Pat, I already got the TV a 55 inch Vizio with the wifi option. It is sweet even though I only got to watch one Steeler game on it.

Trust me it is worth every penny.
On that note I got the frace frame applied today and all of the cut work done on the bookshelves. I am hoping this weekend will see most of the construction work finished.

How big are going to be these cabinets? Glass doors for them?
-
Shawn, I've wondered for years if you were a bad influence to me and now, it is certain.
My site to store 55 lcd tv showed up with a cracked screen all the way from California and I took it back and bought the very same tv that you got. Thus far, it has me so sucked in that I am having a hard time leaving the living room and I still havent played a ps3 game on it yet.
-
Looking really good Shawn!
Thanks Spry, had to take a bit of a break from working on them, but I am hoping things get resolved and I can get back to work.
How big are going to be these cabinets? Glass doors for them?
The glass doors will be on the upper and lower sections with the middle being the spot for the tv, the dimensions are roughly 28 inches by 28 inches for the lower doors and about 17 by 28 for the upper set.

I hear you bud, I love mine. I think you made a good choice. I can't find a thing I don't like about it yet.

Cool. In a way it is similar to my MR AT-AT and TV stand ;)

Cool. In a way it is similar to my MR AT-AT and TV stand ;)
Yes, very much so Serg. I have some updated pics from what I was able to get done today where I attached two bookcases / display units to it. The pics will help that last description make more sense too btw.
-
Well it was time to try and get back to normal weekend at the Tamer household so I had a few hours to work on my current project and I was able to get the bookcase units built and the front facing put on and lined up with everything.
Here is a closer image of the bookcase section and I plan on having two shelves in each section. I think I should have enough room for all my books and perhaps a ship or two when I am done.
My TV will go in the center of this unit with peripherals of some sort planned to go all around it. Right now I think all I have is enough to fill up one side of the lower unit (there will be three shelves on the lower section per side) and I might try to get my bust collection in the upper unit (two shelves) with whatever else I decide later.
I am pretty pleased with how its looking so far. I have to fill in a nail hole or two, but the finish sanding is just about done so it is ready for some poly.
-
Look great so far!

Awesome!

Thank you Serg.
Awesome!
It will look even better when I get it all done, tv installed, and some of my book and SW items on it. Thank you though.

Work was done on my Bookcase / Storage Shelves / Entertainment Area this week. Pics coming this afternoon. It is exceeding my expectations.
-
Well this past week I have been staying at my in laws while me and my father in law got the polyurethane on the standing portion of the bookcase entertainment area. If filled the house with fumes, and as our daughter has asthma, we figured it would be safer to stay over there while it dried. Yesterday we got to work on installing the shelves using pilasters and while initially I was worried about the look, we went with them due to their strength (this is going to be a bookshelf) and I think they look pretty daggone nice. Here are some overall shots:

Here is a shot of the bookcase side only (it is really deep for some of my larger books):

Here is a closer shot of the entertainment center:

If you can picture full glass doors on the section above and below the TV that is what is coming next. I have the hinges and just need to get the exact dimensions and get the glass ordered and this job will be done. Ofcourse I had to get the Blu-Ray TESB in the Player and see what it looked like. I am quite happy with the TV height I set as it feels like I hit the Goldilock's Zone (just right).
It has been my most involved wood working project to date and will house my Library and ofcourse all my Sci Fi DVDs and still leave me some room to get some of my SW Items where I want them. I was inspired by JKNO's Display Cabinets and ofcourse wanted to spare myself the expense of getting a cabinet maker to create this. Outside of getting nice plywood (50 bucks a sheet) there wasn't a whole lot of expense. I think this is every Movie Person's Dream. I have been waiting a long time to make it happen and have a smile ear to ear as I am typing this.

that looks superb Shawn ! especially with the TV set in the shelving ,showing ..lo and behold ESB!! lol

yes i did you teasing bugger!

so so so so jealous, man, looks awesome!

WOW! Shawn that is some excelent custom wood work! I would love to have something like that!

Looks like you can expand your carded section more with that depth, Shawn. Nice!
-
Great job so far!! Will you add glass doors on the lateral cabinets too

Thanks L.E. I could definitely see you making something like that and filling it up with your great dioramas and customs.

Yeah I think starcases will work well too. It has adjustable shelves and I can play around with what heights I need. I plan on getting into some of that this weekend. Thanks for looking Dan.
Great job so far!! Will you add glass doors on the lateral cabinets too
Glad you like it Serg as your cabinets are part of the inspiration for this. I also want to play around with adjusting my heights of the moveable shelves so if I do decide to mount glass doors I may need to make one of the moveable shelves on each one permanent so I can run a faceboard mounting strip for the glass door hinges. But, yes I do plan on making them glass eventually too to keep dust down and ofcourse keep small fingers and the cats off of things.
-
Awesome job on the bookcase/entertainment center!! :o
Really enjoy the natural coloring to the wood...plays well with the wooden paneling and isn't too dark to make the lower shelves seem cave-like...awesome room!! :)

Thanks Botwt. It is definitely my favorite room in the house now. Seeing things so large sure does have me noticing things. I can't wait for Adywan's Re-edit of TESB.

Awesome!!

Awesome!!
Thank You. It is nice to have one inside room all to myself. I think every person in the house needs at least one room to call their very own and make it want they want within limits ofcourse. ;D

I got to add a new Custom AT-AT Driver to my shelf and did a little rearranging there this evening:

Here she is getting to know the boys. Wow, tell me the Shipyarders aren't among the best customizers on the Internet.

Looking good Shawn! Man that camo one Clint did is such a stand out!

Yeah, I can't imagine how long it took to do that camo paint job on that one. I can't wait to see Clint start customizing again.
Still, I wouldn't part with any of em. They are definitely one of the favorite, if not the favorite, part of my collection.
-
She looks perfect in there with the rest of them! :)

Good to see she finally found her way to.your home, Shawn. Women and map reading.... :P
I hope the fellas appreciate her for her driving skills, not just her... assets... ;D

The box was crushed beyond recognition, but she was very safe thanks to your excellent packaging skills Remco. She is asbolutely brilliant and fits right in with the guys. I didn't notice any face slaps this morning when I got up so I think the boys are playing nice.

Well I started populating the shelves this weekend and found out I was a few shelves short of what I need to make the maximum use out of my bookcase side. I also think, once I get this done, that I will still almost have a full bookcase to display some of my SW Items. I have my BMF Falcon up there now (will post a new pic this evening of where I am at) and a few SW items I will be sending off (ISY Contest Prize). My bookcase issue is my shelves are very deep and would take double the number of books, but that would mean covering up the set that was on the inside. I am inverting the books a bit to avert that issue now, but can forsee me adding to my book collection. I sure do wish the book companies would go to standard sizes with book dimensions. My pictures will make this a bit clearer and hopefully you folks can give me your suggestions. Still, the great things is that I now have all my books in one place, pretty much organized and alphabetized. I don't know how I acquired so many, but I think its pretty impressive.
I also found out that glass door hinges need to have the pivot hole drilled before you assemble the final face frame. I actually had to tear the front facing boards off the entertainment center side this weekend so I could drill the 9mm holes straight. The drill's chuck was too wide to let you get close enough to drill where you needed so I learned a hard lesson. Thankfully it all went back together well and I was even able to find a nail hole filler (min wax) that works after you finish wood and is smoothed out with a wet towel. I also have the glass dimensions I need so I will get that ordered today and might just be able to wrap up this entire project (sans figuring out what to place where) in a week or so.
-
Well here are a few images that I promised earlier today. Now before anyone states the obvious I do have plans to get at least one walker or something in there, but that Falcon was just such a nice fit I didn't have the heart to take it down yet. It has been sitting on the floor down here in one place or another since I bought it.
Here are some closer shots of the two bookcase units and the last one shows my issue on the left with needing one more shelf and how to arrange books on such a wide shelf. I am definitely open to suggestions and am trying to balance what looks good with the most practial use of the space an no doubt one day I can see me using up what little SW Display area I have left with books on this. Any suggestions are welcome. I also plan on using the behind the glass doors for some GG Busts and what not. Gold Leader 1 has me wanting to bust out my AF Collection too.

That is looking great Shawn! I was going to suggest that you lay some books down in front of ones that are stood up but I see you are doing that. Ah the problems of not having enough space for all of our toys! That Falcon does look like it has found the perfect spot! Loving that natural finish on everything.
-
man, thats is a great setup altho i disagree about the Falcon i think the best place for it is at home with me ;) lol

I think I agree with Jay, lol.
Looking great, Shawn. Wow, that's quite the number of books; doesn't your local library stock SW novels that well?
-
Loving that natural finish on everything.
Thanks L.E., I do like the natural wood finish as is probably pretty evident. The books are bugging me so I am probably going to get that last shelf in and then start double stacking as there is enough width to do that.
man, thats is a great setup altho i disagree about the Falcon i think the best place for it is at home with me ;) lol
Thanks Jay, Sometimes having that Falcon and not having a set home for it bugs me, but hands down its probably the best vehicle Hasbro has ever built barring the larger Walker. If you don't own one yet I highly recommend it. I plan on getting one loose and doing a Hoth Hangar Dio for it one day.
Looking great, Shawn. Wow, that's quite the number of books; doesn't your local library stock SW novels that well?
I live in a very rural area and am even lucky to find any sci-fi books let alone SW. They just don't have the buying power although I have gotten the local librarian to buy a few I think other folks would like. I know hands down my sci-fi section already beats probably all of the local libraries within an hour's drive from me. Sad, but some folks just don't like sci-fi like us.

It turned out great, buddy! Now all it's missing is a PS3!

I like it. Its me which is what having a collection is all about in my opinion. I can't wait to get the glass this week and finish off the doors and then I can get my bust collection in there too. After this, I want to show off my Hemble AT-AT Driver Custom with Dio and hopefully my Action Fleet Collection and that will probably wrap things up unless I pull the falcon off of it. I might do that as I have the vintage boxed walker that needs to be displayed, not to mention all the loose ones I have floating around.
Thanks for looking everyone.

Why thank you. It has taken me years, and lots of pain and suffering for being a carpentry dolt to get it there.

Do you have a special shelf for the Hemble AT-AT figure and dio? BTW do you have the Marmit AT-AT Driver figure?
-
Do you have a special shelf for the Hemble AT-AT figure and dio? BTW do you have the Marmit AT-AT Driver figure?
Right now I have it sitting in another area of my room, but want to make a place for it somewhere here. If I can get it, some Action Fleet, and my GG Busts in there I will be happy. I am just waiting to get the glass doors installed (hope to pick up the glass this week) and then I can finalize things a bit. Then, probably the only other thing I will do in this room is to create some vehicle, Action Figure, and perhaps further bust display cabinets that will be half size to fit under some of my game trophies and I am done.
Then, I have plans to have an entire collection room above a three bay garage when I ever get around to building it. That will definitely not happen anytime soon unless I win the lottery.
-
These sound like really great plans! Budget and time is the only limit.
-

Amen Serg, the battle we all fight with our hobbies in general. Sometimes I win one though.
-
Shawn, I do believe your shelves turned out very sharp. You certainly are good with that stuff. Yep, the Falcon sure looks good up there.

Thanks Clint. I am hoping someday you can see it in person Bud. We gotta set that up sometime.
Anyhow, I am not so sure the Falcon will stay there, but who knows. I want to get some AF, my AT-AT Hemble Driver Custom, and my Busts in there. I am also thinking those recards WB is doing for me would go great in there too. Once again, probably more space than I have, but waiting to install the glass doors and then I will try to arrange it all.
I am looking forward to seeing new pics of your room!

You're kidding! That's really unfortunate, Shawn. First, the postal services made you wait incredibly long, only to hand over a damaged package. I'm glad as well I put her in a box, instead of a padded envelope.
Love what you've done so far with the room. I'm slowly cleaning out my little SW room (it's a mess again). Got a few hundred CD's I'm converting to mp3. The CDs will be stored in the attic, leaving much more room for displaying some of my collection.
I'm also very impressed you're taking this on all by yourself. I'm not much for a craftsman, unless it's in 1:18 scale  Once it's finished I hope you'll be able to sit back, pop a few brewskies and say "oh yeah....." ;D

Not much of a craftsman? That is just something you and I are gonna have to disagree on then. As for my den, it has been my dream room for awhile back combining both of my main hobbies. And yeah, I will have the glass by Friday, installed by Saturday evening. Then the final shelving begins and I plan my final case which is the last for this room. I won't start getting into that till next Winter though. Thanks for the comments Remco I appreciate it and it will indeed be Christened with a few brewskies. Maybe one day we can get you over the small pond too and get you here in person to pose in this room with the AT-AT Driver Gal you made me.

Well it has been an interesting few days, but I did get a couple of hours to finish up my bookcase collection display area today. Wow did it feel good to get some of my stuff out of rubbermaid and out for the world to see. Anyhow, take a look:

I really, really like the glass doors (where my Gentle Giant and AF/MM Items are located) and am thinking of doing the whole thing with these knobless magnetic closures. The maximum weight allowance for the hinges I am using is 28 lbs. so I think I will be good. I have one more display cabinet(s) I plan on making next year and my cave will be done. As always I play the game of balancing my space with the monies for the items I like. I have to admit that my custom items I have convinced some of you fine folks to part with are the favorite parts of my collection. I also plan on doing a video of the entire room soon.

Shawn that looks awesome! The 12 inch carded vintage figures look awesome, then there is Ron Hembles art that is, as should be, the center of the collection. That is cool that the speeder fit in the small section at the top! The Falcon looks great and I love that you included the action fleet vehicles.

Like I said, my custom items are the most important. Gotta put the good stuff behind glass!
-
Great collection!!! I know what you mean about getting the goodies out of storage and seeing their glory!!!
-
That looks epic! I wish I had something like that.
-
that looks really nice.. I hope that when I remodel the house I can squeeze something close to that in the design... :)

Thank you it did feel good to let them see the light of day again. I hope to be able to add one more display case next year.

One day you just might. I wish I had put more forethought into my initial house plans to allow for a bit more of me in it. Now, I am feeling pretty good about. I pretty much let my wife design the inside while I took care of the outside area, but with what was a totally unfinished basement I prety much had carte blanche to do what I wanted. Thanks for your comments.

I highly recommend it. I was showing it off to my brother today and while his big win was my HDTV, he did comment that for a nerd I was a daggone cool one which is the most positive comment I have ever gotten out of him in regards to my SW Collecting. I think your display area is about as important as the items you have to display. Thanks for your comments as well.
-
Really nice setup you got! Looks really clean and crisp which is hard to do when putting such a varied collection together, I would love to check out all the cool stuff on those shelves!! Nice job.
-
Looking sharp, Shawn, nice and tidy! Are there any real vintage items there, like that boxed Taun Taun for instance? It's hard to tell nowadays, with Hasbro abusing the 'vintage' tag :p
Your work inspired me to get in gear and pick up where I left off back in '08. I've finally moved all of my CDs (about 500 of 'em) to the attic, after ripping them to my hard drive. Now I have plenty of room in my Billy cases to really sort things out. I've got quite a collection of loose Kenner figures, which I'd really like to give a place they deserve, along with their modern counterparts :)
-
I can't even explain how jealous I am! That's a nice collection you have there, but an even more awesome way of showcasing your loot. I had *almost* forgotten the Hemble AT-AT 12 inch fig until I saw it front an center there----looks terrific!
One day, maybe I'll have something like this... :'(
-
Very nicely done, buddy. I love seeing that action fleet collection in all it's glory.
-
WOW, what a truly impressive room and collection!! :)

Thank you. Yeah, it is hard to sort out what to show and not show so it doesn't look too busy but still makes me want to go see whats in there. So far I still can't go by it and not take a look here and there.

Thanks Remco, and yes there are a few real vintage items coupled with modern versions. I love the sound of you putting the vintage figures beside their modern comparisons. I would love to see pics of your collection too.

Thanks JM, I am always in the proverbial battle for space versus rubbermaid. I think guys like us have to have a space of some sort for us to showcase our goodies. I could, at the very least, seeing you make a custom figure display along these lines.
Very nicely done, buddy. I love seeing that action fleet collection in all it's glory.
Thanks Clint. I love those little ships and so wish they would resurrect that line. Titaniums just don't cut it when compared to AF in my opinion. I would love to see whats going on in your collection room too. Last time I recall, you had a nice mix of LOTR and SW in there. How does the wife to be feel about your displaying your SW Stuff by the way?
WOW, what a truly impressive room and collection!! :)
Thank you. I call it Backwoods Boy meets Star Wars. I would like to see your collection as well.
-
She seems cool with it to a certain degree. I asked her if I could display a life sized darth maul in the living room were i to make one and she said "sure"
The one good thing about the titanium vehicles is that they dont take alot of display room. I probably have 50 of those on two shelves in pretty cases in my living room.
-
Yepper, I would definitely say cool if she would agree to a life size Maul in the living room.
I hear you on the titaniums being a bit easier to display loose. Once again, that dreaded carded collector that I am dooms me in space ways too.

Oh WOW Shawn that is some awesome work matey :)
I'd love to have a display like that in my house at some point! Sadly my woodwork-fu Is weak and I'll have to go down that flatpack route (hangs head in shame)
Still it needs more ATAT drivers!!! :P

Thanks Ray, guy if you can build customs like you do I think you could build something like this in your sleep.
I do like the way you think about those AT-AT Drivers though. I just bought some weird bootleg two pack on ebay I will hopefully get up there soon, but ofcourse can't wait to get the ones you are working on up there.

Well it has been an interesting few days, but I did get a couple of hours to finish up my bookcase collection display area today. Wow did it feel good to get some of my stuff out of rubbermaid and out for the world to see. Anyhow, take a look:

Everything sits very cool there! GREAT!! You need to open up and display the busts though, all the great details are lost if kept in boxes.

LOL. Serg, I think you may have said something about that before. I think? ;D
Thanks for your comments.

You know carded collecting might be ok for Hasbro figures, but not so sure about higher end items: 1:6 figures, statue, busts, helmets and props. ;) What if for example you get a 1:1 helmet from MR/eFX, where the package has no window and also no art box, will just display the brown shipping box on the shelf? ;D

I probably wouldn't if it was just a brown box. Probably.
I think the great thing about SW Collecting or heck collecting in general is that we all have our own preferences or how we like to collect and/or display our stuff. I love seeing how folks collect, both loose and dreaded carded or boxed collectors like myself, and I do think that a few opened items are good.

De gustibus non est disputandum
Agreed Serg. Agreed.
And of course your displays have heavily influenced my own display style too.
-
I only hope you opened them at least to look at what is inside. ;) Just imagine the following scenario - partially just happened to me: I recently got my Sideshow Premium Format 1:4 Stormtrooper statue. It arrived with broken belt (other members got them even worse, with broken legs and damaged armor parts). If I decided to keep it boxed (it has a great art box indeed) and never open it up to verify I would have never seen the damage and get replacement in time.
In 5 years if I'd like to sell it I would advertise as "never opened, mint in box" etc. etc. But in fact it comes with a broken belt and in the end I would get in trouble with the buyer. Busts and statues if displayed well (inside glass cabinets, out of the sunlight, no cigarette smoke etc.) will never have a lower resale value in the future. Their boxes are made in such a way you can open and re-open as many times you want/ you just need to add some tape on some.
But in 5 years a sold out item will never have replacement parts not even at the original producer, if that is still on the market. There are some people waiting for replacement plaques for various props from Master Replicas because they bought MIB, never opened props and they were missing those plaques. Will they get them? NO. Master Replicas doesn't exist anymore. Some of the plaques cost a small fortune on ebay now. If they have opened the boxes back then MR had replaced everything
There is also the materials these high end busts, statues and figures are made of: resin, polystone, plastic (ABS/PVC), rubber and cloth (on some PF's and 1:6 figs). I read a lot about preserving statues and figures, how the paint reacts in time with the box and how figures like Hot Toys Batman, HT Appleseed, Sideshow Captain America statue etc. had badly damaged paint or even bodies because of being kept inside packaging. Check out some SSF threads, interesting and scary reads. :-\
Thus in fact personally I wouldn't buy a rare statue, a figure or even more, a prop or helmet, that hasn't been ever opened up by the seller, to be verified, especially if that item is long sold out (and thus out of replacement parts). I asked all the guys and even shops who sold me various items to see the pics of the items I bought.
Not sure if you saw my deactivated real Sterling SMG modified as Stormtrooper blaster (thus being the most accurate blaster possible beating even the Master Replicas version easily), I asked for pics of it because I wanted to see it, even if it is a piece of metal, a real decomissioned weapon like the one used in SW, and nothing could happen to a lump of metal (except some rust that can be easily fixed - though the pro assembling it added a special coat of protective lacquer inside too).
But when I got my Stormtrooper PF statue I asked Mike from Razor's Edge Collectibles to look at his statue stock because I knew many arrived badly damaged from Sideshow factory. He thanked me for letting him know (he had quite a few damaged indeed and got replacements from SS) and even so I got the small belt broken, because none of us thought that the belt, separately packed in a bubble wrap, could be damaged from factory. I did the same with most of my stuff in my collection. I NEVER buy something with just stock pictures, and without real pics of the item outside the box. It saved me a lot of trouble. ;)

All very good points Serg. I think we need to start a topic on this with the title Loose or Carded?
All of your points sure do point to have a totally loose collection and with higher end collectibles going higher and higher as far as price points it does make sense to ensure that if you spend hundreds you get undamaged items.

Man what a collection!!! :o Also.... whoever weathered that AT-ST next to the Falcon has some mad skills. ;)

LOL. They do indeed Tom. They do indeed. Thanks for your comments.

Thanks to Wookie Balls I now have all the AT-AT Driver Vintage Carded Figures. I think. I have the Polish Bootleg still to display but those five look fantastic, especially that potf one with coin. I like how my new Boba looks with my other Boba Vintage Items too. I have about six more to display too.
