I got this one at TRU.com the other day for $27.99
I never had the vintage version of this vehicle when I was a kid but a friend had one and I always liked it. This version is far superior in several aspects.
First off, the look and details of this release just shine. The scale appears spot-on and the inner cockpit detail is nice.
As with the former release, there are retractable landing gear and opening cockpits. New to this release are two sets of missile launchers, two in the center joining point of the two cars, and two on the outer sides of the cars which are revealed as the two cars are slid towards each other when the launchers pop out of the sides. Also, the two cars are able to separate at a joint in the middle and supposedly operate independently of one another. Each car has a hatch in it's fuselage that opens to reveal some mechanical detail that looks cool but could use some paint.
The included cardboard backdrop looks nice and for a change, is able to contain the vehicle and makes for a nice display.
All in all, this is yet another positive Hasbro release to it's vehicle line and a must have for any die hard OT fan.
I can't wait to man it up with a couple of the new vintage pilots.

I am so jonesing for these new vehicles. I want these more than the new figures. I am anxious to see the vintage boxes for each of these too.

I have the video review up on the main page now. Thanks for doing these and the video Clint. Once I get pics from you of the cloud car pilot, that one too will go on the front page.
