My boys wanted me to make them a dio of the ( soda bar as they call it ) Mos eisley cantina. So I googled it and found this forum and joined. I have seen a lot of great stuff that everyone does here. I got some of my ideas from a few of you and some in other places.Done a lot of remodeling in my house so I would say 90% of it is built out of scrap wood. So far I have invested under 20 bucks and lots of time. So that's why mine is made out of wood, also to hold up against two little boys.I know its not movie accurate, I went that way so my boys could reach everything. It will sit on top of there dresser. I was going to wait and post it when I was done, but my son would not leave me alone, LOL.
So here it is measuring in at 2' x 6'. Let me know what you guys think. Any suggestions or ideas because I'm no where near done :)

Are you able to see the news story pics on our front page? The pictures in this were set up as attachments directly to our forums. Perhaps that is why your computer isn't allowing you to see foreign attachments. It might be a security setting on your browser perhaps.

I am a cantina addict, and this is coming along great! It looks so cool!
Can you fill us in on some more of the details of construction?
Like, are you putting in lights? What type of paints?
I love the fact that this is wood. I see a lot of stryo dioramas, and it's nice to see a big old durable one like this!
thanks so much for sharing!!!

Everytime I see one of these, it makes me want to kick my parents in the shin.
Where was my dio?
:)
Looks good to me, I'm a big fan of playable as opposed to accurate, anyway.

I see, this is going to be a great dio. Can't wait to see the finished product.
