I've been playing around with a "file card" for my customs. Here is my first more-or-less finished sample. Any thoughts?
And thanks for looking.

Hi. This is my first "real" post so let me know if I am doin' it wrong...
Thanks again to Doc Outlands for inviting me to the yard and to StenHunter for the words of support.
I finally have some progress to report after a long moving to a new home and finishing up a tough semester at school.
Part 1 - some easy Hoth Troopers
(http://i183.photobucket.com/albums/x298/pharomorgan/customs/PenlenKosh.jpg)
Part 2 - some obligatory Sith...the first image is a new custom, the other two in the second image are older customs
(http://i183.photobucket.com/albums/x298/pharomorgan/customs/DSC01163.jpg)
Part 3 - a Weequay Thug (is there any other kind?)
This last one, is a WIP. Honestly, I haven't figured out what to do with this Medical Droid. The paints I used were old and I don't think my work turned out well. Any ideas for improving this one?
I wish I had more to show but time has been scarce...

Great looking stuff, buddy!

Those are pretty awesome! I like that Maxos a LOT!
-
Awesome customs! Good to see you here...welcome to the yards!
-
I said it once, and I'm going to say it again, I LOVE THE JOE PARTS!
awesome use of a menagerie of parts, especially in that bounty hunter. Its nice to see someone going beyond just the simple star wars head swapped onto a stock joe body and actually part swapping the joe parts to make an entirely new figure.
The rodian head and hands on the indiana jones figure is briliant as well! Did you know that the shirt of that figure comes off? It has some realy good muscular detailing done to the abs and chest of the figure that I was very surprised to find on a cheapo indiana fig....
-
great new customs Bug!
-
WoW! Simply awesome customs, I love the very first one the best, he looks like an ordinary guy and there is something about him that just oozes character.
I really am blown away by the perfect painwork, even under close scrutiny, there's not a brushstroke out of place. They really are masterpieces.
I've not seen your work before so thank you for posting and welcome.
-
I completely agree with hangarbay. Superb!! I love that Jedi Padawan, her detail i just awesome, and that sith lord looks out of this world!! Welcome to the yards, you'll fit right in here!
-
awesome customs
-
Phatty – Thank you, I appreciate the comment. I was pleased w/ the way Morax turned out since I had no preconceived notion of what paint scheme I was going for…
Sprywalker – Thank for commenting—it is appreciated.
Spudafett – I think the bounty hunter uses parts from seven or eight figures—only one of them Star Wars. The GI Joe: ROC figures are great for parts. The hip articulation is a nice feature that I wish Hasbro could add to their Star Wars line (we will see what the future holds)
You are right about the torso used for the Rodian. It is nicely done but I thought it was a little small. I struggled to find a use for it. It seems that I don’t have much need for a shirtless guy in my corner of the Star Wars universe. Ultimately, I painted it green to use on this Rodian. Those Indy IV figures were great…too bad the TOD wave was so scarce. There were a lot of nice figures in that wave.
Sten Hunter – Thank you!
hangarbay94 – Thanks, as well. I have close to fifteen figures waiting for paint right now. It takes me awhile to crank them out. I appreciate the compliments because it encourages me to take my time. My wife says I look like Buffalo Bill from Silence of the Lambs when I’ve got my headgear (magnifying lenses) on—of course the kimono helps too. :) “It puts the custom in the basket”
lambonspit –thanks for the words of welcome and praise. I loved making the Padawan. I was inspired by the female character from the young Obi-Wan book series and of course Etain from the Republic Commando novels.
110clones – Thank you.
-
Wow, that bounty hunter looks great. Well so does the Rodian too. Nice update.
-
That bounty hunter is AWESOME! Heck, there all AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

-
WOW!!
Great stuff!!
Love your work!!!
Rich
-
These look great! What heads have you used on all but the last one?
-
Awesome. I especially like the custom Jedi. What is the recipe?
-
Hi. Thx for the comments. I didn't include recipes or details in my original post. I was being lazy I guess... The head for the Imperial is from Tri-Gate/Slayer. I think the female head is also from those fine folks. There is a chance that it is from Broken Arrow Toys. The older gents is a repaint of a WWII figure (Twentieth Century Toys?) The second Bespin guard is a repaint of the POTF2 guard from Hasbro. I just dremmeled it out....
The Jedi is mostly Obi-Wan Kenobi with a young Indiana Jones head. I did replace the legs and pelvis with a Twenty fifth anniversary Storm Shadow, cut down Obi-Wan's boots and added some fixit to fill the gaps.
This was a pretty easy batch - mostly head swaps and paint.
Thx.
-
Welcome to the yards man, really awesome customs!
Good Work! ;D
-

This is what happens when you check out for awhile... Some kind people pay you a compliment and you aren't around to bask in the glow. It is a shame really....
Thanks for the kind words. It is greatly appreciated. And it just so happens I have a reason for logging in today....
New stuff
First, my version of the Rodian Heavy Defender inspired by TFU on PS3 and an upcoming Destro figure.
Parts = Rodian head and hands from the vintage line
Arms = POC Ripcord? One of those accelerator suit figures....
Legs & Torso from Arctic Destro still clogging the pegs at a retailer near you...
the gun is made from spare parts
Next we have a Sith Assassin with all of her gear.
head = Juno Eclipse + braid from one of those Jedi/Tusken figures
body = Baroness
feet = Ms. Marvel

it just so happens that im doing a sith bitch ! which baroness figure did you use ?
-
Cool Rodian Heavy Defender , ready to kick some Butt...
-
Cool customs man!
-
Oh, wow - love them both! I always shy away from Rodian customs due to the hands with those loooooong fingers!
-
Nice stuff.
-
I like the Rodian figure and especially dig the sith assassin. on the front page.
-
great figures !!!!!!!!!!!
-
Both figures are superb, the Rodian is totally "out of the box" awesome, but my heart is with the Sith Assasin, she's just so cool!
-
like these guys good varied figs
-
Thanks everyone for the kind words. I do appreciate it. Not to toot my own horn too much but if you check out my Picasa Webalbum, you can see many more photos of the Sith Assassin and Rodian Heavy Defender. The assassin has a lot of gear and stuff you can't see well because she is all dressed in black. Stuff you might not notice - hold out blaster on back of her belt, a hidden pocket in her cloak for a blaster, custom hook for her saber and a blaster with gun sling. The Rodian also has a sidearm, knife and thigh protectors. It was a lot of fun putting these two together.
it just so happens that im doing a sith bitch ! which baroness figure did you use ?
That is the trench coat Baroness minus the bottom of her coat. Does that make it a waist coat? I think it was called City Pursuit or something like that...
(Actually, I just looked it up and it was Paris Pursuit Baroness.....a nice figure and great for customs--IMO.)
-
Your work is awesome!
If you don't mind, I'll add your blog to my "Best of the web" suggestions on my own blog.

That would be great. Thank you.
I am trying to become a more active community member here but I don't always find the time to post and reply. There is a lot of great work in this community. I enjoy seeing the blogs and albums of other customizers. If I don't know about your blog, feel free to being it to my attention.
-
Trust me I know how time gets away.
I wanted to take a second to say how much I liked the Rodian custom. Sweet.
-
Hey, guys. Thanks for the support. I appreciate it.
-
That Rodian is all kinds of awesome!
-
Just completed a custom that has been in the "work-in-progress" stage for quite some time. What we have hear is a Twi'lek Brute. He stands about a helmet higher than your average clonetrooper.
The figure is primarily made from an X-Men Sabretooth. I added wrist articulation and a neck ball. Other parts include a vest from Greedo, bandolier (maybe from Obi-Wan?) and a blaster from a Halo figure.
Hope you enjoy.
You can always view more photos on my Picasa webalbum or blog.

Well, what is to be said about this guy? It is a pretty basic recipe and I think Hasbro should get most of the credit for producing such a nice looking Giran. It was pretty easy to bash the rest--one of my quickest customs
Six more Jedi customs to go for this week...
-
Yes. I like this guy. And I agree, Hasbro has done a good job with the head sculpt.
-
Love your custom action figures. This first Jedi is a great example of why. Can't say how happy we are to promote this event all week long at our blog!
-
Cool Jedi.
-
Sweet Giran. On the front page.
Perhaps I can help spread the word too. That figure looks almost real!
-
Very nice! :D
-
wow great mix of parts ;D

Another great video Double D!! :D
I agree, the video is great..even if they are my customs. :-[
And since I am here, how about the Jedi from day two?
If you can give me some tips for hiding the gloss from the decals I would appreciate it. I haven't worked much with decals but I bet someone know a trick or two....
-
Your Jedi are looking great, nice photography too. I look forward to seeing the rest of Jedi Week's Jedi.
I don't know how to hide the gloss from the decals, but I would bet someone here does. Maybe trim unneeded areas away with an xacto and roughen the surface slightly.
-
He looks very nicely done!! :D
-
Just catching up here, Great video and love the first 2 Jedi. This second one is really great, I love that head sculpt and good idea trying the decals as tattoos. I would agree with KRI on trim workbut it may be too late now. I would put a decal on a generic figure, then put a drop of clear dull sealer from model masters with a brush. See what happens and if it works try it on your figure. I would NOT spray Dull Cote from Testors on it as I know it would cloud the entire decal surface area you cut out. It looks good in the photos and you may not even notice this displayed with other figures.
-
Incredible jedi man!
-
Great Jedi!
-
Wow, that jedi turned out fantastic! Sometimes, when I use decals, I will try to hide the gloss by detail painting the areas where the symbol is not at.
-
Sprywalker and Clonehead,
Thanks for the advice. I guess I will have to experiment a little more. :)
Oh, and how about a Jedi Padawan for day three?
-
Really cool! :D
-
That is an awesome padawan! Love the head sculpt, what is it from?
-
Sprywalker,
I am pretty sure (90%) that is from a Spykids figure. More details are posted on my blog...

I'm diggin it all! Can't wait for more.
-
wow
I like the Jedi week
great job BS
-
Nice job on this one!!
-
Ooo, all awesome. I like the Duros particularly. What head does that female jedi at the end have?
-
Thanks folks. I appreciate it. The head is from the EE Mando set--one of the female Mandos (obviously).
It is Saturday. One more day to go. Today's post is a redo of a Padawan I created a few year back. I am in the process of re-working some of my older customs to give them updated articulation. I am trying to phase out those old POTF2 and Saga sculpts.
You can see the original figure on my blog and many more photos in my Picasa Webalbum.
Thanks for looking.
-
Another well done figure!
-
Very nice back on the front page.
I am really enjoying Jedi Week.
-
what is the part list for Lanif Bin-Ooliff jedi padawan?
-
You have truly created some magnificent jedi this week. Bravo!
-
ghostskull18,
The head is from SpyKids, the arms are from Agen Kolar (I think), the torso is from the Rodian Jedi which was one of the Target Geonosian Arena sets, the legs might be from Joclad Danva--also from teh Target Arena set.
Jedi Week Finale....see my blog for more
(http://i183.photobucket.com/albums/x298/pharomorgan/Corlif9.jpg)
-
Wow, what a great week of Jedis. Thanks for letting us know about it Bug!
I hope this gets to be a yearly thing.
Are you planning on having anymore weeks like this with perhaps Imperials or Sith or what not?
-
Great job BugSkirt!!
What SpyKids' figure is that head from?
-
Hmm, Jedi Master Dooku perhaps?
-
Awesome final jedi! That head sculpt rocks!
-
Sprwalker,
SlayerDesignStudio get teh credit for that head sculpt. I have no idea who it is supposed to be. I just saw that it was a guy with a beard and that = Jedi to me.
botwt - I don't remember which Spykids figure that was. I'll see if I can track down the info. It is probably from five years ago...lol
Thanks for all the support. I can't wait until i finish my summer classes so I can start working on more customs.
-

This guy looks like the villian from Superman 2.... his name escapes me right now. Great looking jedi all!
-
Great looking stuff man, all the paint apps are awesome and the base figures and noggin' choices are excellent.''
Great Job!!
-
Love your jedi!!
-
Great Jedi! He looks like George Lucas to me.
-
Very cool mix of parts!
-
bugskirt,
nice job here...its fun to go on a "run" and do several of the same type of custom. I think you did a great job with all of these, but as i'm not a huge soft goods fan, i'd have to say that day 5 and 6 are my favorites...color scheme's on both of those guys are solid.
TND
-
Those are some amazing Jedi. Seven great customs in a row.
-
AWESOME JOB LOOKS LIKE JEDI LUCAS
-
Man love the jedi's they are all amazing pieces.
Ron
-
If you can give me some tips for hiding the gloss from the decals I would appreciate it. I haven't worked much with decals but I bet someone know a trick or two....
I don't know if this has been answered yet in the thread, but if you use a little microsol while setting your decals, that should flatten out the decal itself to the surface. If that isn't enough, I know that Vallejo has a matte finish that might also be useful for finishing off your figure's head.
-
Just catching up here, Great video and love the first 2 Jedi. This second one is really great, I love that head sculpt and good idea trying the decals as tattoos. Long term Testor's dullcoat will turn the decals yellow...unless they improved that formula in the last fifteen years. Not trying to be a shill for vallejo all of a sudden, but you really can't go wrong with a water based dull coat. Even gloss coats..Future floor polish is the best one out there..again, you can thin it's viscosity down with water and get great results that won't turn the decals yellow as they sit on the shelf.
-
Really enjoyed Jedi Week! Can't wait until you finish classes :)
-
those re amazing jedi´s!
-
A+++++ on the Jedi! All of them!
-
Over the next few weeks, I'll be posting new customs over on my blog. The first seven or eight customs are mostly head swaps. I'll post some photos here when I get to the more interesting ones.

Man, those Jedi look great! I esp like the brunette female. what head is that? Keep up the great work, and I hope to see that finished mando from your blog up here soon too!
-
Kolti Wan,
I think you are talking about the Jedi that uses the female Mando head from the EE set. As for the WIP Mando, that one isn't done but I have another one that will be posted later this month after In finish painting his rocket pack. I think I have it scheduled to post on 1/22. I will post here at the yards when it hits my blog. Thanx.
-
Loved your last 2 blog posts!
-
Finally had a few to check out your recent blog entries Bug - very cool stuff buddy!! Master Corlif Archant is my favorite :)
-
Glad to hear it, you get some pics in here and I bet I put em on the front page!
-
OK, after a week of head swaps and minor repaints, I am finally showing off some new stuff on my blog.
http://bugskirtsworkshop.blogspot.com/ (http://bugskirtsworkshop.blogspot.com/)
So, what did I do on this one? Originally, I intended to use a custom helmet but I couldn't match up the white paint I had access to with the white of the armor on the trooper. Then I thought about giving him a standard removable helmet. In the interest of expediency, I opted to go with a non-removable helmet. The left hand is new and more suited to holding the barrel of the plasma grenade launcher. I cracked open the lower torso and used a dremel to narrow the crotch. The trooper may now be less of a man but he can attain a proper stance. I also added a holster with a removable E-11. A partial E-11 rests in the holster but can be removed if the trooper needs to equip that blaster.
For the next two weeks (at least), I will have new customs debuting on my blog. I'll plan to also post many of them here in the yards.
John
-
Oh, I forgot to mention that the gun was from Slayer Design Studio back when they were Tri-Gate or perhaps earlier... I doubt it is still available. The scope is also from Marauder as is the E-11 at the feet of the trooper.
John
-
Nice work, I like how you "fixed" him so he could do a proper posing stance.
-
This is an awesome looking Stormy. On the front page.
-
Nice work, John. Fine job on the crotch.
-
For those that are curious about the operation...
-
Bith Hipster
This one is mostly Joe parts with the head from a Cantina Band member and hands from Tion Medon. I recommend this combination for anyone interested in making a Bith custom. The Cantina Member hands are simply far to bulky IMHO.
BTW - I really wish Hasbro would update the Modal Nodes.
This figure might look better with some colorful designs on his clothes or with a jacket but I am too lazy to revise him at this point - maybe later.
More on my blog...
-
Rebel Commando: Night Ops
(http://i183.photobucket.com/albums/x298/pharomorgan/customs/MolisSanvold2.jpg)
One more tomorrow....
-
Nice one Bug Skirt! He looks tough to take down!
-
I like that night ops rebel. On the front page.
-
Your customs look great, really like that stormtrooper :)
-
Nice! I like the scope on his headgear.
-
Here is the second commando. I've been trying to find a use for this head for a while. He has a great tough-guy smirk.
Tamer, thanks for the front page post.
-
what joe figure did you use as a base for these? They look great. The night vision scope looks perfect on the rebel helmet too BTW
-

Hi. Thanks for the comments. That base figures is the 2009 G.I. Joe: Resolute Duke. It is a great base figure.
-
This custom is a revision of a previous Sith Acolyte is made a couple of years back.
More on my blog. Thanks for looking.

I've been hitting up your blog all week. There isn't a figure there that I wouldn't want. Love them all!
-
Cool figures! I like the clean paint apps they look right out of the package, also really dig the Bith. What legs did you use on him?
-
Awesome Sith. I don't think they will ever make enough to suit me. Update is on the fp.
-
Very Kool sith!!!!!
-
Thanks everyone. Here is one more Sith. I imagine him as the guard for the last one but maybe not....
As for the legs on the Bith, they were from a G.I. Joe: ROC Snake Eyes figure or the Ice Viper. i think I had both at one point.
Thanks again Tamer!
-
It's Snake Eyes. Very cool work!
-
Really awesome job on both the new Sith pair and the Rebel commando duo.
-
Very cool sith, both of them. What did you use for the crotch armor on the second one?
-
The next eight or so customs are all par t of a story line. I will continue to reveal one a day until they are all posted.
First up a Rodian. A little about the storyline is posted on my blog.
CloneSniper78 - that armor is from an Army of Darkness figure I bought on clearance. It is a very handy piece. Wish I had more.
-
Wow, I am getting behind again. Love both of the new ones, especially that Sith Guard. Keep em coming and I will keep posting them.
I also think its high time I got your blog addy added to our facebook page.
-
The Rodian looks nice; like your update you gave to your earlier Sith acolyte. I've seen him before on your blog and always liked his design; the update is even better!
-
Another Rodian from the photo novel concept I created.
Thanks for the comments. One more Rodian politician tomorrow and then we move on to the bad guys (or are the politicians the bad guys?)
-
Very nice work on all of these! The Sith Acolate is just awesome!
-
wow, very nice work!! they all look so great, cant tell a fave...
-
Here is the last Rodian politician from this series. Probably my favorite of the bunch. The head is an old Tri-gate/Slayer Design Studios product. Not sure if it is still available.
Tomorrow we will begin to see some of the other players in this story.
Thanks for all the comments and taking the time to check out my blog.
John
-
Wow, what an awesome group of Rodians.
Back on the front page.
-
WOW! These Rodians are awesome! Very nice job of adding little parts from so many toy lines to make each figure unique!
-
very, very, VERY nice work there! Love the Sith most of all - but the fine work on the Rod's is also lovely!
-
You know you are the bad guy when you find yourself carrying a bomb.
Here we have a Rodian insurgent.
This particular figure was inspired by a piece of Hasbro art. I've included a link to the Rebelscum photo archive. Hopefully that isn't inappropriate....
http://www.rebelscum.com/photo.asp?image=/potj/obiwanadventures.jpg (http://www.rebelscum.com/photo.asp?image=/potj/obiwanadventures.jpg)
More info on my blog
-
Nice looking figure but man that bomb is awesome!
-
This is way cool, those rodians are sweet man!
-
I am absolutely loving the Rodian kick. Back on the front page.
-
wow nice rodians ;)
amazing stuff!!!
what's up with that bomb, did you do it yourself too?
-
Yep, the bomb is just a little something I cooked up. Most of the parts were just plucked from the parts bin. I guess it was more of a happy accident than a matter of design. The cylinders come from a recent Duke figure. Everything else is just parts.
-
Rodian Terrorist Insurgent Leader
(http://i183.photobucket.com/albums/x298/pharomorgan/customs/Nawat.jpg)
The lesson here is that it is always better to be the trigger man than the one carrying the explosive device.
And why do I have so many Rodian parts?
-
Nice figure, bs!
-
I am telling you, you must have hit the Rodian Jackpot. Back on the fp.
-
I have a bad feeling about this...
Their plan was almost perfect except for a few details...
-
More greatness. I always love me some rodians. I think it's the 1977 in me. ;)
nice work.
and why do you have so many rodians?
-
It ain't easy being a droid, especially when your master is a Rodian tool.
Alas, the unwitting RM-3D was rigged with explosives. The poor droid was told to ignore the cylinders attached to his frame and then sent on a mission to intercept the Rodian delegation.
This looks bad...
-
Oh yeah, another great update on the front page.
-
Tamer,
Thanks. I appreciate it. 0/
-
Cool customs, find it funny on that Clone/Rodian. Nice job.
-
So, who would you hire if you thought some was gunning for you? Me, I'd hire a Mando
(http://i183.photobucket.com/albums/x298/pharomorgan/customs/CedessWilles3.jpg)
"Protecting senators? Sure, if the price is right".
Is it just me, or is that first image a little wonky?
Re-posting for clearer shot...at least to my eyes...
-
Great color scheme on this Mando; I like how you incorporated the knife attachment from IG-88 on his hip.
Been following your stuff on your blog site; keep up the great work!
-
Great looking droid and Mando! You are on fire!
-
Great looking droid and Mando! You are on fire!
Ditto! :)
-
Awesome Mando! How about the recipe?
-
What an awesome week in the customizing community. Truly awesome group of figures you shared with us. Love those Rodians and the droid is killer. You're definitely one of the most talented customizers out there.
-
Wow, guy I can't keep you off the front page. That paint job looks sweet. I like all the colors you used.
-
Not much that I like more than seeing Mandos dominating the front pages. Expertly executed and meticulously photographed. Great job!
-
i agree with above said.very cool stuff so far.that mando is tight work.
-
Sweet Work! Wlecome to the yards! I love the rodian, weekway and... Heck, I love them all! ;D
-
great mando!! mooooore please!!
-
AWESOME!
-
Sakiyan mercenary
Is he working for the Rodians, the terrorists or another interested party?
-
What can I say other than back on the fp.
-
Very cool and did you make that jacket?
-
Luke Sprywalker,
No, Hasbro made that jacket for the Sam Jackson version of Nick Fury. It was in an Iron Man pack...maybe a TRU exclusive. Great jacket and worth every penny, even if I don't find any uses for the figures from the set....
-
Nice Merc!
-
This guy looks uber-good; I love those hand blasters he's got. Where did those come from?
-
This guy looks uber-good; I love those hand blasters he's got. Where did those come from?
I'll give you a hint--Zuckuss. :D
-
this guy rocks :)
-
And the last one from the story line--another mercenary.
-
A random thug...
-
Those guys look killer, bs! That is a nice jacket. I had passed up that pack several times.
-
What can I say, back on the front page again.
I know one thing, I hope this one custom figure per day trend continues! Nice work Bug.
-
awesome work ;D ;D ;D
-
awesome! ;D
-
Great job on that thug.
-
Very nice, I like it!
-
looks great, congrats!
-
Thanks everyone. I appreciate the kind comments.
I am almost done with updates. It has been good to get some of these off the work table. Some have been sitting around incomplete for quite some time.
Bounty Hunter
(http://i183.photobucket.com/albums/x298/pharomorgan/customs/DSC02628.jpg)
-
Awesome! I really like the SS face mask on him!
-
Looks awesome to me, back on the front page.
-
Amazing bounty hunter. Great job.
-
Nice bounty man!
-
Who's Torso did you use for your newest bounty hunter?
-
Who's Torso did you use for your newest bounty hunter?
I am almost certain that was from an Zartan figure--probably from a couple of years ago.
This is my last new figure for a bit. School work is starting to pile up.
Now that I see it with a little critical distance, I don't think it it quite finished. I'll probably do some work on the lower half of this droid. I need to blend it a little and add some color.
-
Looks great to me. Back on the front page with you.
-
Really enjoyed your blog over the last two weeks. So many excellent customs. Can't wait until you're at it again.
-
Love the new droid! Nothin' better than a kitbashed droid!
-
I updated my blog with some group photos of my recent customs.
Here are a couple of samples.
OK, I will probably disappear into the world of academics for a bit. Looking forward to stopping by the shipyard to check our all the great customs.
-
hey i like the rodians, and the mando.you are right about the droid though.you surely could have painted the lower half, but probably didn't think too untill you saw the photos.I do that alot too,and it's not till then when you start to see slight improvements,or details you could add to truely make them an awesome custom figure.he looks great so far,and I hope you have time to finish, and repost the end result.
-
WOW, really great pieces!!
-
Those re great awesome customs!
-
BugSkirt, you have an amazing eye for detail and design, and these latest customs are seriously good. Very creative, perfectly painted and just wonderful to look at.
Man, I have a critical eye, but I could not fault that droid at all.
Love your work!
Jules
-
wow those are some sweet looking rodians, you can so add them to the any displace set up. hats off to you . I would like to see some rodians for TCW wave
-
Thanks everyone for the positive feedback. It was helpful and encouraged me to start re-working the lower half of that probe droid. I'll update when I can.
John
-
Very Cool customs, I enjoy seeing new ideas here.
-
Really cool customs, it took alot of effort and creativity to make them and it shows, amazing work, I really enjoyed looking at them.
-
It is true, I still do customs.
Lol, longtime no post.
Here are a few I recently completed.
I just finished the bottom half on this first one...so, paint and weathering.
This next one is a re-do of one of my oldest customs. Check out my blog for the before and after...
Here we have what I am calling an Aerial Antipersonnel Droid...basically CIS close air support.
And lastly, a lovely Twi'lek using the ever popular Helix body
-
Awesome work, the Twi'lek looks great.
-
Wow, great update Bugskirt. On the front page. And good to see you back!
-
WOW! She's beautiful! What's the head!? ;D
-
Really dig the two new droids, and your other pieces are awesome too.
-
Had to get that Twilek on the front page too.
-
WOW! That Twilek is amazing! ;D ;D ;D :o
-
Tamer,
Thanks for the recognition. Been under the weather for a couple of days. Just checked back in and saw my Twi'lek on the front page. To paraphrase young Anakin, "Yippeee".
Quoting 10 year old Anakin....now, I really feel like a nerd..lol
-
You have so many great customs but your Rodians are awesome
-
WOW! She's beautiful! What's the head!? ;D
OK, my memory is a little fuzzy, but I am pretty sure the lekku and headdress are from Ayy Vida while the face is from Helix. I believe I just boiled and popped Helix's hair and Ayy Vida's headdress. Seems like it was a pretty simple swap.
-
I really like that ariel droid too. This was really just a great update.
-
WOW that droid is sweet. You do great work but that one is deserving of 5-Chewies 0// 0// 0// 0// 0// all the way!
-
WOW! She's beautiful! What's the head!? ;D

Cool i really couldn't tell! Great job covering it up and maki'n it look like a whole new female head! ;D
-
The aerial droid is awesome I also like the trooper guy.
-
Awesome customs man
-
Brilliant customs!!
-
Stunning work and beautifully creative, as always! Truly dig your style.
-
First off, great to get to meet you at C6! I am loving this update, too hard to pic a favorite. I am partial to Rebels, the droid is fantastic and the Twilek is pretty hot! Great work my friend.
-
DUDE.....you rock man. Your customs are brilliant. Love'em. :D
-
I just want to take a moment and say Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family. And, if you will allow me to share (via my faith and worldview) this is one of the most special times of the year, at least to me. I am truly thankful to God above for His grace, mercy and salvation. He has richly blessed my life. I have the blessing of an amazing wife, beautiful children, and a loving family. I am also thankful that I live in this great nation. I hope you have a chance to take a moment today and look at your life and reflect on how fortunate you are. I also want to make a statement to the ISYs in general that even though we don't all know each other personally and face-to-face, I am thankful that in our hobby we have a common place to share our creations with one another. Happy Thanksgiving enjoy some turkey!!!
-
Love those customs, the paint is 10/10!
-
It has been a long time... I finally had some time to do some painting to finish a custom. I am working on several more but time is scarce for the next few months...
Anyway, here is a bounty hunter. Ni ID yet but I will add that later.
And one more...

Awesome!
Definitely an inspiration for future projects!
Great work.
-
Mind blow :-X
-
Wow, this looks great. Good to see you back around BugSkirt!
-
Thx folks. I appreciate the comments. Tamer, thx for the front page. That is one of the great things about ISY, there is always something new posted. It is good to see so much activity.
-
Nice bounty hunter. Whats the recipe?
-
Awesome bounty hunter!
-
Hand,
To the best of my recollection, the recipe is as follows:
legs = Cyber Viper (v2)(It was a pack-in for the Cobra Deviant
waist + torso + arms + lap guard = Flash
armor = Wraith
helmet = RetaliationTrooper
-
Terrific work! Love the color choices here.

-
Nice work Bug Skirt. I love that Wraith armor too.
-
This guy rocks bro great colors and armor.
-
That is flipping cool!
-
Really nice work! I love the color scheme you chose. Great looking transformation of Joe parts into a SW bounty hunter.
-
Great piece! I also love the color scheme; the bits of orange really work well with the tan color you chose. Good to see your work again!
-
That bounty hunter it beyond awesome. 10/10 work right there.

-
Nevermind. Can't get the images to work.
-
OK, trying this again. Not having much luck with images tonight. :-[
Not a lot of time for customs right now... Hope that all changes by the end of the year. Anyway, lately, I've been going back and re-doing some of my older work.
Here is a Coruscant Security Trooper I did 100 years ago
(http://i183.photobucket.com/albums/x298/pharomorgan/SecurityTrooper.jpg) (http://s183.photobucket.com/user/pharomorgan/media/SecurityTrooper.jpg.html)
And here is the update.
(http://i183.photobucket.com/albums/x298/pharomorgan/DSC05138_zps9791826b.jpg) (http://s183.photobucket.com/user/pharomorgan/media/DSC05138_zps9791826b.jpg.html)

This next one is a character I call Qinro Dovo. He is a Coruscant Security Officer...kind of like a federal marshal in my mind. I made him back when 5 POA was the only option. Of course no one goes with 5 POA these days ::)
Old version circa 1914
(http://i183.photobucket.com/albums/x298/pharomorgan/Veeko.1.jpg) (http://s183.photobucket.com/user/pharomorgan/media/Veeko.1.jpg.html)
And the update:

-
I think your new versions show why we need superarticulation in our lines. Wow, such an improvement.
Good to see you around. I look forward to getting these on the front page tomorrow.
-
Nice work, i love the updates.
excellent work.
-
Great updates! Love the new securtiy guard.
