Friends...I present the Hangarbay'd ATAT walker....Holy Moly! It's beautiful, Jules! I love the weathering and it makes it look so much better than just factory stock. Yes, more pictures please. Lets have a bright sunlight shot so I can see everything. And yes, an update shot with the landing platform is in order.

Ron,
I really am lost for words as you are a true craftsman. Thank you so much for having a look at my creations.

Thanks Spuda,
I take your point about the engine panels, I too feel that it would look better with them in place! truth is this is a re-paint of a vehicle I used in the Darkchild novel. I bought it cheap off e-bay and it was incomplete.
Also I've not painted the front rubber parts for the reasons you stated.
Still,I'm glad you approve of the overall custom.
Spudafett that 's an inspired name....You are officially my Custom Namer Executive Operative !!!
Jules, may I ask what the typeface is called that you used to type up the Gunstars info?
Jules, may I ask what the typeface is called that you used to type up the Gunstars info?
The typeface used for the main text is called ODDABALOON and the one used for the name Gunstar was a corporate font called INTELLIVISION (the name of a very early games console...way before your time).
If you can't find them I can e-mail them to you.
Jules
WOW!!!
Just that brief glimpse is incredible!
Your kids are so lucky!
All my Dad ever made me was insecure.

Thanks Ron,
The odd thing about my Luftwaffe idea is that the ARC really reminds me of a late American WW2 fighter, the Northrop Black Widow, the concept does lean itself more towards American designs.
That being the case an ARC170 Black Widow might be cool...only problem there is all of my lovely weathering techniques would be useless on a black surface.
Personally I'm veering towards the option 6, but if I manage to sell the custom I'll buy another and then do a Luftwaffe variant, plus a Spitfire/Naboo fighter....

Wow,
Hey, while exploring your thread here, I realized that it was your Millennium Falcon Hangar diorama that gave me the idea to go digging in my garage for my old collection.
Your B-Wing and well...just about everything else you've worked on looks awesome. I've just started working on a B-Wing myself and may pick your brain from time to time. Especially, your answer for the cocpit detail..not sure if you have the new version or the older version with no detail whatsoever.
AGain, thanks for the big welcome to the forum and can't wait to see what you've got next.
One thing though....1 TIE Defender could chew up and spit out a whole squadron of these ships.

simply amazing work with the arc 170. Love the green paint job. The weathering and the decal take the cake though, simply superb. I'm going to have to learn your weathering/chipping technique one of these days.
Thanks guys..I guess I've set the bar very high for myself, and I can see this little vehicle going though some modification in the future...
that is exactly right my friend. You have set the bar too high with your other vehicles so now each one you do has to be as good or better. Great spot to be in huh?...
It's a POC Joe vehicle - a Wolfhound, iirc? I've got one stashed away for a future project myself.Sorry Doc, But It a ROC Joe Vehicle- a Ice Dagger, not the wolfhound.
Oh my this is just a bit more fantastic than I expected even from you. Bravo! The color looks great and the decals on this one are some of your best yet. This is just a perfect ship for the SW verse and you have made it a truely unique piece. So well done my friend.
LC,thank you! I may be working on my own vehicle and will need to paint. ()rr
I use a plastic primer first, then a coat of Warhammer Primer (Chaos Black or Skull White, depending on the chosen colour), then I use plain old acrylic paints, applied by an airbrush.
Hi everyone! \I hope you are all keeping well?
Here is a transport that has now had it's third and final paint job...this time I'm happy.
She belongs to a couple of desert dwellers....her name is 'Dune Rider'

Really cool!! Love your vehicles!! Killer paint apps!! Hope the new X-wing Alliance isn't burning you out the way Darkchild did.
Hi everyone!
I should have waited a bit longer before I showed you this, but I'm away for a few days then I've got a pile of work to do so here she is...
Smuggler Truck - A repaint of my Wall-e truck conversion to suit the Star Wars Apocalypse time frame.

I've got some more work to do yet, and I'm customising some smaller mini-rig type vehicles to go in her cargo hold...
How many of these Wall-E trucks do you have? I never even saw a single one in stores :(
Jules, I love all the versions of the Wall-E truck that you have made. Including this WIP too. I can't wait to see the paint job. Don't kill me..... but I would love to take the tracks off your hands of this vehicle like I did last time. ; I think with four sets of tracks I could make a killer sand/snow crawler. Could you imagine a Turbotank Crawler?! Let me know. Cheers.
Jules, I'm positive this is going to be another mind blowing vehicle. When I read you're about to head out to the paint booth, I immediately thought "This is going to be goooood!" :) Will you be detailing the inside as well, like you did last time?
Okay I have to ask, where did you get that Space Precinct space cruiser? As soon as I saw your Nar Shadda 'CPA' Interceptor Patrol custom I did a ebay search for that vehicle and there is only one for like $80.00. Ugh your custom is so damn cool, I mean its perfect and I would love to own that thing. Would you like to PM me aout selling it or doing a trade for it? Man its just epic, amazing job with the paint and those decals are too cool. But really lets work out a deal. ;D

I was very lucky with my bid, I'd been eyeing them up every time one came up for sale. Funnily enough I was admiring it today, it looks even better in the flesh... it is my favourite custom & I'm chuffed that you think that highly of it. I'll have a think if I want to trade/sell it and come back to you...
J
I'll admit I have been searching on Ebay for months to try and find that Space Precinct vehicle with no such luck. After seeing what you did with it I was "AMAZED" and had to try it for myself. LET THE BIDDING WARS BEGIN!!!! LOL lvva
This is great. i agree with wraithnine everything fits together perfectly . Just curious was the movie's alien and prometheus an inspiration for you ? Cause i see alot of the two combined here and it is done real well .... All the best Art
Oh yea, this looks great Jules! I agree with Zed, this vehicle looks perfect for a Moon or desert rover. Love the vehicle and the figures.
Jules,
I've never seen Dune. I remember hearing about it. Anybody know if it was any good?
