Just recieved this message from Jay:
This is Lees Wife Natasha, I was letting you know that he was put in the Hospital 3 days ago, He was on scaffolding when the plank broke and he fell 2 levels to the ground. He back is messed up pretty bad and they think he needs surgery to repair the damage.
Just what is it with us Shipyarders hurting thier backs, last year me, these past few months Devin, and now DS-61-2 (Lee).
Guy, I sure hope you get to a computer so you can see this, but we here at the Shipyards are hoping you can heal up and get back into the forums.
-
man that sucks! I know how bad that is though. I hope surgery goes well if you have to have it... let me know how bad it is so I know what to expect! :(

Get well soon Lee, just make sure they don't replace any parts with mechanical breathers, or offer you big black capes =)
We'll keep you in our thoughts.

-
Dude, man, that sucks.
Get well soon, we're all pulling for you.
ALso, if on the surgery forms there is a box for "experimental cybernetic replacement" check it, check it!

Hello everyone I am back on the yards thank you guys for all of your support I am still in alot of pain and having to get used to being in a wheel chair is kind of deppressing at the moment, all my daughter does is ask me why I can't do things its rough but I will pull through this I hope. I am going to be in and out of the yards off and on till I am off some of my meds they just wipe me out but without them is not an option. You guys here are some of the best friends, no FAMILY a man can ask for although we are miles or countries apart. I will try and post some pics in my threads just be a little slow about it at first,
-
Good to hear you're on the road to recovery, it is never an easy road but it will get easier the further you travel it. Hang in there
-
welcome back mate!! it's great to hear from you, i hope you fully recover from your experience with you head held high my friend, if there is one thing to be slightly happy about is that your in the comfort of your own home with your family and that they will support you every step of the way to your recovery
-
Lee! Welcome back, buddy! It's good to hear that you are home.
I seen those ties you had waiting on you. What a homecoming gift.
Mend yourself up my friend, we are hear for you.
-
Thank you guys so much, it means alot to me.
-
We are definitely glad to have you back. You focus on getting better, day by day, and we'll be here when you can be. Again, VERY glad you are back.
-
glad to see you on the mend buddy ! looking forward to speaking to you mate, if theres anything i can do ...
-
Glad to hear you're doing better. Sounds like you have a great wife. Good luck on the road to recovery.
Everything mends with time.
-
Welcome back man! When will you customize your wheel chair?? Flames? Maybe Slave leia on the side?
-
Hmm.. Slave Leia would be nice lol, or the Crumb Bomber logo.
-
Lee, I'm certainly glad that you're doing better, and I know that everyone here is pulling for you.
Like everyone said, just focus on your health and post when you can.
-
Good to see your back Lee. I saw those ties you scored, very nice.
-
Thank you, I am glad to be back I like the TIE's myself ordered the new version based on the shadows of the Empire comic today so waiting on those, and still trying to find the AT-ST that should have been out already and the ROTJ wave of figs, anybody have any news on those.
-
man If I get stuck in a wheel chair I'm definately giving it the pimp-my-ride treatment...
I'm talking electric wheelchair with onboard laptop PC with external power supply and wi-fi access, Spinner's on the rims, ground effect lighting underneath... the works!
glad to know your feeling better. We'll see if I need a wheel chair after tomorrow!
-
I hope not it sux when you are so used to walking and now.... :-[ O well I wish you the best of luck
-
Hello everyone, sorry I have not been on much, I started phyiscal therapy on monday and I have been so drained and in so much pain I am hoping to be able to post some pics of things I have recently managed to get off of ebay.
-
Just glad to see you still around. Focus on your recovery, we aren't going anywhere!
-
Yeah mate, don't over do it too fast.....take time to recover slow.....
-
Glad to see a fellow WV boy is on the mend. Keep after it!
-
man take it slow... I've discovered that the hard way. Last weekend I overexerted myself and pulled a muscle in my leg. I realy wished they'd had me on a physical therapy routine after surgery because my muscles have gotten realy lax and are not used to walking correctly and for prolonged periods...
if your like me though, you'll find that the handicapped parking pass is the best part of the deal ;) lol... like any of it is realy good.....
good luck man
-
Hey Lee, how are you doing? Any better? Any worse?
-
not better and not worse, I am in physical therapy 2 times aweek and I know it is meant to help me but it hurts me so bad I am down for the rest off the week in time to do it again I hope I can get used to it soon if not I do not know what to do.thanks for asking man means alot
-
I have been off work for 3 weeks now and my muscles are starting to atrophy. When is your next physical therapy session, Lee. I need to go with you.
Keep your chin up, my man. I'm sure it's tough but it's supposed to be tough and get easier with time.
-
Well, we are definitely concerned. That's one serious injury you have there, and we wish the best for you.
-
thanks guys I hope I get used to it soon I have no energy for anything lately
-
I can only imagine. Just don't overdo it, and do what you DO do at your own pace!
-
I'll prolly break *my* back AND ruin the roof Monday. Assuming it doesn't rain before Monday afternoon, I need to either slather tar, add shingles, hang a tarp, or some combination of the three.
-
As Jay had posted in his custom figures threads, Lee had contacted him and told him that medical bills had him in a bind and as a result, he was selling off the customs that jay had made for him, including this one which is my favorite.

Remember that Jay is the youtube custom guru, Rasputin37, whose custom astromechs are legend among collectors and here is your chance to own one of your very own.
Let's give our buddy Lee a hand and see if we can't get his auctions some bids.
Here is a link to the U.S. ebay version of those auctions
Lee's wraithnine-built customs (http://shop.ebay.com/gothicamommy/m.html?_nkw=&_armrs=1&_from=&_ipg=25#item35a5ca1d9b)
-
I hate to think that medical bills mean someone has to give up thier SW collection. Daggone life is hard sometimes. Lee I hope you are getting back to feeling at least a bit better. We are pulling for you.
-
im sorry about the injury lee i am gunna place a bid in and i hope the others to we need to help the fellow man wen hes down in the worst time
-
protocol droid is all that's left, it's got a day to go.
I wonder what the astro droids went for.
hoping it helps him out some with the bills, it's really crappy to read about. :(

the astromechs went for $10, $11.02,$10,$11.53, and the crimson stormies with Luminara went for $25.12
I wish that he could have made the auctions last longer, we could have hyped em up a little more.
-
I missed the end of all the auctions by an hour or so :( I was going to bid on 1 of them but I couldn't.
