AT-ST
« on: April 24, 2013, 10:25:22 AM »
Here are a few photos of my buildup of the old AMT Snap-Tite kit of the Imperial AT-ST (1/90 scale). The kit is built basically straight-from-the-box; my only alterations consisted of replacing the top handrail with metal pins and wire, cutting out the closed view port covers and re-attaching them in an open position, adding more accurate armor to the sides of the main body (the kit is molded with solid sides), replacing the gun barrels with metal tube and replacing the right-hand missile launcher with the front section of a 1/72 scale rocket pod. Okay, maybe it's not that straight-from-the-box.

Spectacular build. Love it. It is now on our front page.

Welcome to ISY. I also saw another walker I expect will get some fp love soon too.

Thanks. To me, nothing looks more realistic than the real thing. The tree is a small branch and the root ball is the root system from a small tomato plant.
