well, if you can swing it, geothermal is nice, but costly.

the vertical shaft I have no experience with, but the systems in general are awesome.

and hotwater as a bonus, when is that a bad thing?

:)

Now those systems are really expensive. I will check, but doubt I could even get close to one of those.

Well my AC is still outta comission. Good thing its cool. I got a bid to fix which is 1100 smackers. I am waiting to hear the bid for a whole new system. If its even close I am upgrading to a new system.  We will see if I get sticker shock here in a few days. Hope it doesn't get too hot.

I just came out from under the house, repairing some crappy roll-out ducting that was just lying on the GROUND!!!  They shelled out some major bucks when they got the system installed on this house - you'd *think* the guy would have done a better job installing the ductwork.

I hear you. My ductwork is ok. I just need to get the air handler working again. The bad thing is if I go with a new systerm that means I have to replace the heating system along with it if I want to warranties to be valid.

Yeah, I wish you were closer too. I got the bid today and my pockets are now gonna be lighter for about a year, but we are going with an entirely new Trane system with a twelve year warranty on everything so I won't have to worry about it again. I am sure there will be something else I can worry about though.

On another note I did get in a box of SW goodies today and man am I pleased.

Tamer wouldn't want me too close to him. I would be a bad influence in a good way.

Just one more week till I start my summer vacation officially. I can't wait. We go to the beach that following weekend starting the 13th. My little girl is having a hard time sleeping this year. I hope she gets in the ocean this year. She got so spooked by the sound last year. We are going for two weeks this year; once with the inlaws, and the next week with my hunting buddy. He is like a fish out of water, but his wife loves the ocean.

My new heating and AC system goes in today and I am glad. Two weeks with no air or heat was a pain. I hope they can get it done today. I am getting a Trane system. It has a 12 year warranty so I don't have to worry about it now. I spent the weekend cleaning up the cars and put two coats of wax on my Shipyards Tacoma. It is shining now. I will be high profile when I hit the beach again.
