Those hips in that image look horrible and I hope they don't do that on Legacy figures!

Oh, I agree they look horrible right now.  Let 'em learn on the CW figs and then once they smooth things out, they can move the tech over to the Legacy line.

BTW, spuda, I'd REALLY like to learn about your GI Joe splice technique.  Would you mind writing up a tutorial on it?

The hips don't look that bad on the fig that I reviewed. That proto must have had different joints.

i have on good athourity that the BAD figs are being canned (the SDCC ones will be the last)and will be replaced by 80's style cardbacks and possibly a price rise (think VOTC)

I've been expecting both and was glad the SDCC figs even *had* BAD parts.  Wonder why they are canning them.  Heck, the BAD part is the only reason I buy some of them and in some cases, multiples of them.

And price increases always suck.  Maybe if they look at the fan-favorite lists *and* go back and super-articulate some older POTF2/POTJ figs, it'll be worth it.  (not!)  I already find $7.50 a tough pill to swallow, even WITH BAD parts.

I tend to agree. Enough is enough already. crappy figs and another price hike?
I buy figs I dont like, want , already own and am dissatisfied with just to get a BAD piece, and then miss completing the BAD fig by 1 piece when I cant find the last one.
And the more you like a buildable fig, the crappier the figs you must buy to make it.
How many versions of a fig are enough? 18 versions of a fig you dont want another of, and zero of the ones voted most wanted? unless of course it was in production, then you get it 3 waves later.
I hate to see this line go, but maybe it will make room for figs that people actually want....

Maybe we'll get lucky and they'll increase the pack-ins to replace the BAD pieces.  Maybe they'll get ball-hips figured out and rerelease everything with ball torsos and ball hips.  Maybe they'll standardize head-ball sizes.

Maybe we'll get the Tonnika Sisters...
 :-X

I have other dreams, too.  Like Louisiana abolishing the Board of Elementary and Secondary Education.  That's more likely than the Hasbro dreams.

This is the worst new I've heard all day, possibly for a long time if true!
If they do can the BAD feature in 2011 and raise the price I believe it's over for me, these things have just gotten too expensive without that bonus pack-in!
I'm an opener so cardback design mean s.h.i.t. to me.

man that sucks... the least they can do is what they are doing with the rise of cobra gi-joes and adding a bunch of pack in accessories.   Hasblo won't do much of anything that the fan's are going to want.  they are marketing to kids and the crazies that want to get every little variation of every figure out there.

anyways, back on the ARF trooper, the ball hips don't look that bad in person.  I think that was a prototype.

Doc I will definately get a tutorial up in the customs sections.  Once you've done one or two it's realy easy to do.  Especially with the newer figures that have ball jointed torsos.

Yeah, I don't make enough money for the SW hobby, I'll probably switch to a more traditional one, maybe RC racing!
