2010 Battle Packs
« on: September 17, 2009, 06:31:17 AM »
"Holocron" & "Jedi Showdown"

Entertainment Earth now has advance images for both sets:

Sigh...they both appear to be straight re-packs. Not even any updated paint jobs. What a complete waste of time and money!

Scum has updated photos up now of the 2 new Battlepacks, "Holocron Heist" and "Jedi Showdown":

"may or may not have some slight deco changes to them"

Well let's freaking hope so, otherwise I have a hard time shelling out $25 for four figs I already own MOC.

and occassionally they do add additional articulation to the knees of otherwise crappy figs, almost making the repack worth buying.
NOT...

Heck, we'll be LUCKY to see any repaints or added articulation. I think these will end up being straight repacks, which is a complete and utter waste. (Hasbro: I ain't buying this for the diorama alone)

Well, Ani and Obi figs now have Knee articulation, so that is something.

Brian's Toys now has both of these in stock...hopefully a sign they will hit at retail soon. I wasn't planning on picking up either, as they are both straight re-packs, but there's really not much else new out there for the TCW line...
