Star Wars: Power of the Force - Millennium Falcon ("Episode VII: The Force Awakens" Conversion) by Elias

If you are like us, and you don't want to spend the money to buy another Millennium Falcon from Hasbro, here is a "Force Awakens" home improvement project that we made with our Star Wars: Power of the Force - Millennium Falcon.  Years ago we upgraded our Falcon when the Legacy edition hit stores, so the 1995 released toy was sitting out of view a retired toy.  Breathing life into it again was a real blast.

We had to heat the metal pin free from the old dish to get it off the housing, but it pulled apart pretty easily after a few minutes of being boiled in water.  We weren't too crazy about the action features in Hasbro's new Millennium Falcon offering.  The Nerf feature just felt out of place, and paying for a new dish was much cheaper than the new Falcon's price tag.  We do admit that we wish we had the Finn and Chewbacca figures with the headsets!  Those are great looking figures.

3D Print Designer TonyRR offers a replacement dish for the Falcon on Shapeways. The 66 mm quad radar dish is not round but square like the Episode VII Falcon.  This upgrade is available in Frosted Ultra Detail.

That's awesome, a great use for the old Falcon! Would they happen to have any smaller ones that would fit on an Action Fleet Falcon?

Not sure if this radar dish will work as well with the BMF Legacy/Vintage Boxed Falcon as it does with the POTF Falcon.  At least not without modifying the attachments considerably.  With the POTF Falcon, not even glue is needed and the old dish could be easily reattached without issue or damage to the original piece.

I bet a conversion for the BMF Falcon is something that artist is considering I bet.
