My New Crafting Table!
« on: August 18, 2010, 11:49:42 AM »
Well, my old crafting table was built into a nook in the basement of our house.  I liked it down there, because it's cool in the summer and warm in the winter.  Plus, for whatever reason, I love basements.  Maybe it's because as a kid, my room was in the basement and it was like my own private apartment!  In any case, it irked me because my Star Wars room with my bigger TV and sometimes my Xbox was in the upstairs.  So, since I decided it was pointless to have two spaces and only utilize one, I decided to move everything upstairs.  Now, I couldn't move the craft table up from the basement, since it was attached to the wall and such, but I COULD build my own upstairs.  I went to Home Depot, bought some 2x4s and a 2'x4', 3/4" MDF board, and built a new table into the wall.  Now, it isn't the prettiest piece of work you'll ever see.  However, it's level, it's sturdy, and it'll serve its purpose admirably!  So, I present to you, my new crafting table!

Thanks Jay!  I'm about to start working on my contest entry, I'm still doing the planning for it though...I'm eager just to use the table!

Pat, that is a very....neat looking craft table. At present I'm using my kitchen table...the wife is going mad as most of the wall adjacent to the table is now resembling a weathered panel from the Millennium Falcon...just a bit of over-spray!

Well, fortunately for me (I guess, in a strange way) it's only my wife and I with a basement, 3-car garage, and 3 bedrooms.  One is ours, one is for guests, and the last is for my Star Wars stuff, so It's my own private little space.

Looks like a good work station to me, Pat. I need to give updated pics of my hobby room as it progresses.

I love it, three rooms, three garages, and a basement.

Plenty of room for me.  I like my breakfast at seven and I need you to be quiet after 9pm, that is all, :)

LOL! Good one Pat.

Simon it is good to see you.

Back on the room front, it is great to see that extra bedroom turned into a SW room. I have plans to turn our guest bedroom into a Star Wars Guess bedroom one day. I think it would look cool.

Is that a broken outlet I see?  It also appears that a door may be blocked...Hope OSHA doesn't see these pictures of your  "workstation"!
