oh my goodness, Phatty, your work is driving up the ante for all the rest of us.     :o

That dark blue awesomeness of the clones and the officer are making me wish we could see that design on The Clone Wars toon.  Honestly, wow, that line-up is impressive!   


what color blue and what brand of paint IS that?   I need a bottle of it!





and kudos on making Jusik in custom form.  It's the first time I've seen anyone do a figure of the Jedi Mando and, damn, it looks EXACTLY like the image of him I always had in my head while I read the books.

thanks guys!  I think poor Bard'ika has been long overdue in his production.  I'm working on him as a Jedi General as I type this!

That blue that I used for those clones is a Testors Enamel Sea Blue.  The only thing is, you have to put on a coat or two and wait about 5 days or so for it to dry and cure so as not to be sticky.  These have taken so long because I had to let it all dry adequately.  I wish I had found a color like this in an acrylic, but it didn't exist.  Enamels come in so many more colors than acrylics, but are a pain to wait for to dry!

I had no idea that was an enamel, Pat. It looks like an acrylic in the pics. I have used a hairdryer in the past to speed the drying time of enamel paint before but it is kind of a pain in the butt.

Ok, I have 3 updates to post.  I am now finished with all of my custom figures until I get me a Jango/Boba with ball joint neck!  I do have some interesting parts lying about that I need to make work for an idea...

Anyway, up first is Blank, fully armed.  His pack and weapons are finished and ready to inflict some serious pain.  In his right hand sits his custom made Verpine Shatter Gun.  It's blasts concentrate on bones in a body, shattering them upon impact.  Some armors can deflect these projectiles, though very few.  It is rumored to be able to "break" the blade of a lightsaber, though there is no one around to confirm or deny that claim.  In his left hand rests his custom made DC-17 rifle with ion/EMP attachment.  Its ability to neutralize any mechanical threat comes in handy to disable droids or technological assailants.

Up next is General Bardan Jusik, General of the Special Operations branch of the GAR.  General Jusik has adopted the use of armor, both on the battle field and in his own personal activities.  On the battle field, he wears a modified version of standard Clone Phase 1 Armor, with his shoulder/upper arm plates colored a green color, much like the private armor he wears off of the battle field...

Finally, is my completed Jedi General D'Qan Dal Quordis.  I weathered his shin greaves with some silver flecks and added his head and air pack.  Luckily, only using one coat of the darker brown over the lighter brown made the garment to look weathered on it's own, so I didn't have to add much there.

Looks great Phatty! Like that you use different bodyparts from different figures! They turned out very good, and you gave me some inspiration for a next custom   ;)
