Howdy,
Started customizing just over a year ago, here are some of my figures. Some non-custom figures included as part of same alien race, not trying to pretend. My painting stinks, working on that. Any feedback?
Thanks!

A couple more, and where the magic happens...
-
They look great! I for one am a fan of the Mon Calamari.
-
Welcome to the yards Gurt, nice start. I like the mon cal jedi and padawans. Keep up the good work!
-
Thanks very much, here are some updated Mon Calimari and other misc Jedi.
-
Took these shots today.

Welcome to the Yards. You've got very cool pieces here. Diggin' your Nerd Lair, too.
-
Welcome to ISY. Time to get some of this on the front page.
-
Great work and really like the figure room ! Welcome
-
Lots of really great customs. I find the Misc. Alien Jedi 5 terrifying for some reason.
Good stuff!

Welcome to the 'yards!
Man, you got a lot of Micronauts figures on your shelf.I loved those figures when I was a kid.
Great looking custom figures. You have some real standouts I really like especially in pictures 11,12,13 counting down from the top.

Welcome aboard mate and you have done some fantastic looking customs.

Thanks for the comments, you guys are great.
Jedi Alien 5 seems to be the figure most folk like, see attached picture for a breakdown. Red Faction Creeper figure from Gamestars is the base figure. Popped head, hands and feet. Cut pegs from arms and drill holes for Gha Nachkt hands. Cut off pegs for feet and realign for 90 degrees (so the figure can stand up, and not be on all 4s) and re-attach feet. Head is from StarWarsGeek's eCrater store. Paint, accessorize and there it is. I recycled the heads for Misc Alien Jedi 6 (Marvel Rhino bodies).
I also have included some copies of other customs I have tried to reproduce for practice.
I-Am-Boba-Fett- yes, I have been collecting Micronauts since the 1970's, I loved they were on the same scale as Star Wars figures! 1:18 for life...

Nice how to on 5. Off to share again.

Welcome to the 'yards Gurt. There are some really great customs in there. When I saw the Red Faction Creeper body and custom head I thought, "What a great concept. Nicely done. So question for you, the "bug" head on your Jedi underneath the Creeper - where did that come from? I also really liked the Rhino/Red Faction hybrid combos. Keep up the good work.

Hello, Starchaser.
I got the head from StarWarsGeek's eCrater store, link below. It says they are currently "on hold", I am hoping more are cast soon!

Also, I am always looking for new body types, biped humanoids have gotten boring. If anyone has any suggestions for new figures to use as base body, I would appreciate it! Looking for bird/insect/dinosaur/reptile/anything new bodies now.
I am taking some classes on 3D printing next month and want to start printing my own body parts. Shrinking larger scale toys down to 1:18 scale, flipping orientation from right to left on arms/legs/feet/hands, etc. Does anyone have any experience with this? Any suggested programs/platforms/websites for .stl files?

Thanks for the response. I've picked up one of those heads from starwarsgeek too, just hadn't got around to putting it on a body. I was actually asking about the head that looks like it should go on a Micronauts "Bug" figure that is in the picture underneath the "red factions" Jedi. I've been a Micronauts fan for a long time and a "Bug" custom would be too fun.
On another note, Schleich animals/dinos provide a possible source for non-bipedal bodies. I'm working with some ideas now. Target also has their cheaper "Terra" line of animals/dragons, etc. Just a place to start.

Just found the "bug" head over at angel.forge. Another the thought, the new jurassic world line might have some potential for dino bodies.
-
Sorry, I was just slogging through Angelforge trying to see if that was where I got it (like 9 months ago)... They have tons more heads I would love to try out, but $6 a head keeps me pretty picky on trying out new.
-
I was scrolling thru your work ; really like. The mon calamari! Such a lot of variety, really nice customs.

Yeah, that's what keeps me from ordering as well. At 6 dollars, that's almost the price of a whole figure (depending on price of figure).

Awesome kitbashes!....the sheer mulitude is astounding. The Bruce Willis Starkiller is a fave...and all of your aliens. Where did you find the Bug head from Micronauts?
Keep up the incredible work
-
bdc41866, the Bug head that would work for Micronauts Bug comes from an online vendor. His site is called Angelforge, at shop.theangelforge.com under the whatever-beastly heads #0147.

Wow
I cant believe I haven't praised this work yet
That misc alien Jedi is just too Pan's Labyrinth. My fav. Nice selection of customs and an awesome collection.
-
Thanks for the encouragement, everyone. Yes, I am mostly a basher, working on my sculpting, not sure if my painting will ever work out.
Here are some more Alien Race Jedi/Padwan figs.
-
Nice update, off to share.

New Padawan and Youngling custom bashing.
Rodian, Arcona, Patrolian, Clawdite, Ithorian, Wookie, and a made up alien race. Can you tell which figures I popped to get the heads/bodies?
Had to dig back in after getting so disappointed in Hasbro 3.75" 5POA figures. Blah! It is like Mattel bought them...
96 days and counting.
Thanks,
Gurt

More younglings! These are great head swaps. I particularly like your use of Tomar Re for the young Patrolian - that really works.
-
I agree these look good. Off to share.
