Our friends at Jediinsider.com just broke the news on these Tru Exclusive 4-packs that feature pilots and astromechs from the ROTJ Battle over Endor Scene.
The first set includes Grizz Frix (X-Wing Pilot), Palso Thern (B-Wing Pilot), Scythe (Tie Fighter Pilot) & R2-T7 (Frix's Astromech Droid).
The second set includes Ekelarc Yong (Y-Wing Pilot), Sila Knott (A-Wing Pilot), Oxixo (Tie Fighter Pilot) & R5-P9 (Yong's Astomech Droid)
These packs are said to be released in Jan of 2011

Oh wow...those are awesome...must haves for sure.

Excellent, glad to see more pilots getting released. It's also very nice to see a Gray Squadron pilot (would have preferred Gray Leader Horton Salm figure though).
For anyone unfamiliar with these pilots:
Grizz Frix: X-Wing pilot who flew in Red Squadron as Red 5 at the Battle of Endor. His only lines were "She's gonna blow!" right before his X-Wing spun out and exploded, killing him.
Ekelarc Yong: Y-Wing pilot who flew in Gray Squadron as Gray 3 at the Battle of Endor. His only lines were "I'm hit!" before his Y-Wing spun out of control, crashing into an Imperial Star Destroyer, killing him. He dies right after Grizz Frix.
Sila Knott: A-Wing pilot who flew in Red Squadron as Red 3 at the Battle of Endor. This pilot was played by a woman, but her voice was dubbed over by a male. After Wedge told Reds 2 and 3 to pull in, he/she replies with "Got it" before being taken out by TIE Interceptors.
Oxixo: An Imperial TIE fighter pilot who served during the Battle of Endor.
That's all the info I know/can find.

Im glad there is a new trus opening near me, at least I know I'll see these there.
-
All the new rebel pilots look nice as well as the droids.
So do the tie pilots, but they are pretty much identical if you ask me. Clones from a prior tie pilot release?
If they can be found and reasonably priced, I might pick these up.
-
yep this is a definate buy for me
-
wow heck yes I am in on these. Can't have enough rebel pilots or droids!!!!! Finally something I am looking forward to getting!!!!!
-
I had seen a few pictures of the individual figures but the sets look great. I too wish we had 2 different head sculpts for the Tie Pilots. Since they have clone heads for the Tie Pilots and Storm Troopers does that mean in ROTJ era Imperial troops were still clones? Hmmm. I also wish they could get rid of the wide leg stance. I challenge everyone to get all your pilots out and line the up on a shelf or table to see how short they are getting. Particularly the X-Wing pilots that is. Any how I will be buying both of these when I see them. I mean hey we got 2 new astromechs!
-
I'll get the second of the two pictured. For whatever reason, it just appeals to me more than the first. I'm thinking it was a good idea to add an Imperial pilot to this set. Nothing spruces up a set of rebel pilots like a Tie Fighter pilot. :)

This one showed up for a flash and disappeared in my home stomping grounds. Fortunately a good friend found them for me while I've been overseas, so I'll have both sets to open up next week.
-
I saw these sets last week and they almost crumbled my TESB only resolve. They looked great.

If the price of gas wasn't so high i'd jump on these in a second..
Damn that Obama and his Rich Oil Buddies !! >:(
-
hopefully i'll get two of each ...
-
Apparently these are part of TRU's "Buy one get one half off "sale. Good time to get them if so...
