Oh, that's even better then. I really need to get around to trying to cast a female mando chest plate one of these days.

Cool helmet. It's very well done. Can't' wait to see the whole figure when finished.

Thats a great helmet for a twi'lek mando.I was thinking of doing a Twi'lek bounty hunter, cause I noticed the twi'lek pilots head fits the mando girls neck so well.the only prob is the figures are both collection figures and not for customs, though if I could make that helmet myself it may be worth taking the two figures to make one awesome one,and that's the kind of sacrifice that i've had to make on a few customs, and might have to make again.

Thanks for the comments guys! JMtrix, go for it! I would love to see another version. I plan to sculpt leku on a joe head I have selected because of his expression and the head is already bald with the ears showing.

I am also in the process of working from Nate's description of future characters for Apocalypse. I have to stay a good bit ahead of Jules so I can have time to design, start to build and paint, see if it works then do what ever has to be done to fix and finish each figure. The Skraepers were easy for me, I felt like I knocked them out really quickly and didn't have to can and start over with anything. I am currently designing a new species that is humanoid and a desert dweller. I have run into several challenges that involved scraping my first figure, modifying a second into my Halloween contest entry, but now have settled into a new figure that seems to work. So I started painting and my idea didn't work and he looked like anorexic Hellboy! I decided if I could semi dry brush another color over top to tone it down I may not have to start over. It worked for the most part but I am going to quit looking at it and have a fresh look tomorrow and see what I think. Point being no matter how long you do this you still learn from mistakes all the time.

Now we return to one of my favorite groups, Rogue Squadron from the comics. I am one step closer to having all of them in pilot and civilian attire. Here is young Jek Porkins right after he signed on to fight with the Rebels. I sanded his cheeks and jaw line down a bit to thin his face just a touch. I may adjust his head to sit lower and he looks a bit tall in the group shot, other than that I am pleased with him.
