I might have to add one of em to my ship collection if I can figure out where to put it now! I might just have to drop the coin if I can get this in addition to the Bwing they are gonna have out.

Stopped by Lee's Summit super target, today. their figs were marked down to $4.46 but the pegs were all but bare.
4 FU female Imperal officers and a couple of Saga figs. No vehicles and no sign of restock. Usually this store has lots of stuff.
I will have the wife check out her Wally World, tomorrow. :P

Nothing new at Harrisonville's Wal-Mart.  They just redesigned the inside of that store and the toy section is in an entirely different place. They havent made any room for restock. Perhaps that means that the old stuff will go on clearence when the new stuff arrives.

stopped at independance Wal-mart today about 2pm. They had most of the wave 1 legacy figs and of the wave 1 Clone wars figs. There evolutions were wiped out as were any battle packs they might of had.  The BMF and AT-TE were in full force with the $20 ships in a mid-isle display. Some of the bigger boxes were dinged as Tamer had reported. I take it Wal-mart was the only chain to be issued these displays. they also had all of the build a droid sets on an endcap at the opposite end of the Star Wars stuff.

Then I went to the Ind Super Target and found only the remnants of both wave 1 figs and 1 AT-TE. No exclusives except for a red marked clone mask. There display consisted of two endcaps and about a 4 ft wide space of one of the isles.

Then, I went to the TRu store there that did not stage the midnight madness sale. They might have had an impressive display at opening  right at the front of the store, but it was a bit picked over by this afternoon. remnants of wave 1 and 2 of legacy and wave 1 of the clone wars. they did have the first rebel evolutions and fett evolutions packs. no b-wing, no grievous, nor the scuba trooper or the quad trooper that I was looking for. No battle packs either.
I plan to hit Harrisonville Wal-Mart tomorrow morning. that is, If the wifey delivers a promising report.
It was great saving ten percent of the BMF price with my associates discount. I plan on using that savings more tomorrow if I can.

Its kind of wierd that your TRU had the evol pilots, but the 2 I stopped at didn't, seems like not all the stores get the same stuff in at the same time.

Yep, I think that a lot of Wal-Marts are like that also.

yepper, from what I see it looks like the padme and the one pilot set is out now and the other two come out a little later. Ofcourse their street dates for the stuff are way off.

I have seen the other pilot sets on ebay already.
Sent the wife on a clone recon mission at Harrisonvile wal-mart, yesterday. She came up with 3 hidden figs. Two quad gunners and a scuba trooper. They were hidden all the way in the back of the cardboard display, on the bottom row.

She says that she checks the SW section of her store twice a day. That's almost as often as Chad.  ;D LOL

Well now wait a minute, are you saying I shop like a woman?  LOL.  Mostly lately I have been hitting Targets for their closeouts on other toys for presents for the kids.  They are still at the age, where they don't care what it is if its a toy they like it.  So when you find stuff that is 50 to 75% off, you grab it.  As long as I'm there might as well take a look down the SW aisle.

Yep, there's nothing like getting something on sale, especially if the savings is that great.
Harrisonvile Wal-mart had two of the new battle packs, Hoth recon patrol and the CW speeder bike set. Two copies of each found in the normal toy isle that is, untill she snagged one of each for me. And Tamer, they are quite minty. ;D

Are the 2 clones the animated style or the regular?  I saw them, but I thought they were repacks of the treachery at selcammi or whatever its name is, that walmart had and exclusive last year?
Title: Re: KC MO and Kansas
Post by: Clonehead on July 29, 2008, 03:19:30 PM
They are of the animated style with grey markings and a different red insignia on one shoulder. The bikes appear to be the same as in the treachery pack but with different markings.
Is it just me or do the animated clones look cooler this time around?

I had it in my daggone hands a few days ago, but thought it was a straight repack from the neyo pack with just two clones instead of neyo and a clone. I wish I had your eyes guys. I never can notice those small details. Oh well, I will hopefully see it again.

Harrisonville walmart comes thru again. The wifey found my Hoth speeder bike patrol there, today.
I noticed that they still havn't stocked any AT-TEs as of yet. Kind of makes me nervous. I doubt that I will have anything to worry about as the holidays are still coming.

I have a feeling you will see your ATTE before too long. Looks like your bps are all in.

Went to Warsaw Wal-Mart to search for the AT-TE when I was at the lake. it is a supercenter and I was dissapointed to find only a handfull of legacy and clonewars figs on the pegs.  Heck there were even 3 saga figs on the pegs. No new vehicles and no cardboard display. I do feel sorry for the Warsaw SW fans and bet that the local scalpers are hating life.

I often wonder what determines what stores get what, it must have something to do with sales and turnover.

I still have 7 atte's in my super walmart so I bet you find yours soon. I didnt see how many of those large vehicles would see so quick. My super walmart did get rid of the big display and now the attes are in the lower shelf of the basic figure section and the big falcons are on an end cap.

Post by: Clonehead on August 05, 2008, 03:58:46 PM
Harrisonville wallyworld stocked one AT-TE and the wifey brought it home to me. She said it was stocked in the normal SW section. this is all they restocked. Tamer, the box condition was ok but not perfict.
It's a good thing that I am an opener.

I still havent seen one I would call minty Clint. I got the best one I have seen in both my stores for now. I am hoping when Xmas rolls around and they do restocks they get these in and dont bang em up so daggone bad.

After seeing the Clone Wars, Saturday, I stopped by Blue Springs Wal-Mart and found the Rebel Pilot 2 evo pack. They had plenty of figures in the toy isle and in an endcap display. But not the scuba trooper that I need a second copy of. Two at-tes and 3 BMFs were on the shelf. The new star wars transformers were in full compliment. I also cruised the clearance isle and found a few saga figs for $5 and 4 of the 6 build a droid sets for $7 apiece.

I hit the Lee's Summit super Target on the way home from work, today. They had restocked all of their clone wars and legacy wave 1 figs and even had a scuba trooper for me to take home. I aways see more heavy gunners than scubas so I wonder if they are shipped 2 to 1 in a case. No store exclusives were present. there were two AT-TEs and several copies of the rebel pilot evo set #1 No $20 ships were present either. I am still on the prowl for the modified JSF.

Hit Lee's summitt Target, yesterday. Wave 3 had come and gone with only the C Clone and Neyo left. They did have the Grievous starfighter and the Modified JSF though. I picked up the latter.
Went to harrisonville Wal-mart today and found no sign of wave 3. They did have the new titaniums though.

Stopped by the Warsaw Walmart during my lake trip this weekend and seen the new gunship. I will probably get it but was in too much sticker shock to pick it up that day. $50 is quite a price for a ship that doesnt even include a fig. Wern't these like $30 when they were marketed for ROTS?
Also the wifey reported that her store in Harrisonville had the A-wing today. $30 for that one.

Nothing new at Harrisonville Wallyworld today. Mostly remnants of legacy wave 3 and clone wars wave 3.
No gunships yet but there were 3 a-wings on the shelf. Picked up the wave 3 Mando, Jodo Cast. Wish I could find those FU 3-packs.

Today, the wifey brought home FX6, the 327th trooper, and Commander Faie from her Harrisonville walmart store. And like some of her other finds, they were all hidden on the back of the pegs. The plastic on the back of Faie's card was slightly peeled back like someone was going for the droid part. I thought it was interesting that Faie and the 327th clone both came with the same build a droid part.
Still no gunships or TFU 3-packs

At Harrisonville wal-mart, they had restocked their vehicles and I found a Trade Federation AAT and in their legends line they had all three colors of AOTC officers. I picked up the yellow officer that I needed. Their are no gunships at that store but I found one the next day at the Clinton wal-mart along with the two remaining build a droid packs that I needed. That store had one of the new Unleashed battle packs and I picked it up. It was the one with the clone armor Obi Wan.

Stopped by the State Line rd Target, today. they had legend figs from two waves ago and almost no vehicles. Plenty of mighty muggs and a sparce assortment of the newer titanium ships. I picked up the emperor's shuttle in this line. They also had one copy of the exclusive cartoon Yoda and skinny clone battle pack which looked nice but I passed on it.

Stopped by Lee's Summit super Target, yesterday. They had restocked their BPs and Vehicles and even had some on display on an endcap. Both skinny clone BPs were accounted for as well as multiples of the Monastary and Sheild generator BPs. They had one copy of the Saralac pit and skiff combo at a price too high to consider. I do agree that the Saralac looked ok but the scenery and figs were somewhat sub-par. The did have several copies of that new SW minitures set as well. The figure section looked somewhat picked over and there were no comic packs to speak of.

Was in harrisonville Walmart, today. I'll bet that there wasn't more than 9 figs on the pegs after the Christmas rush. This store had restocked the shelvs a bit and had put out 5 gunships, 4 A-wings and, believe it or not, they had just put out 5 copies of the emporer FU 3-pack. I'll bet that those had been forgotten in a storeroom somewhere.
There were no new comic packs but they had restocked their titaniums and I picked up a twin pod cloud car from this line.

Went to Lee's Summit Target today. They had restocked and had several delta JSFs and Grievous starfighters on the shelves and had a few Monastary BPs as well as one Saralac pit UBP. The figure pegs were sparcely stocked with older waves and the titanium section only had one ship on the pegs. I went looking for their SW model kits and noticed that they must have phased out their models. There were no model kits to be found.
I then went to Lee's Summit Hobby Lobby to scout their SW models and they had snap-tight versions of the at-rt, the Falcon, the ROTS JSF, the droid tri fighter, and the arc-170. They did not have the republic cruiser kit which is the one that I was looking for.
I may have to get that on Ebay.

Went to Harrisonville Wal-mart, today, in hopes of finding one of the new CW vehicles, the magnagaurd fighter or the super vulture droid. What I found when I got to their paltry SW section was most of the new wave of CW figures and a couple of the new Unleashed battle packs. I actually that the clonetrooper with the space gear in my cart for a bit as he had a cool paintjob and some nice on-body equipment. I especially liked the pistol holster mounted on his chest just below his breathing airbox.   I just couldn't do it, guys. The skinny clonewars figs just arn't realistic enough to me.
Man, I wish they would release some of these figures in the legacy line.

On a more or less disgusting note, I found the twilek gunship in the clearance isle for $49.00 marked down from $49.96? What was the point of such a small markdown?

Ditto with me on the clone wars figs. I think they will do em eventually though. I think we can assume most of the clones will get made. I hope they wait until I am absolutely enthroned in my TESB only mantra though.

As for your walmart's markdown, welcome to my world. The two walmarts I had never mark down anything. I am still seeing jabba's band and dances at full price even though they are in the clearance section! How long ago did we see those?

I got those on clearance months ago, buddy.
Shawn, I need you to look for something for me at your Wallyworld if you would. In the model section, where the model paints are, I need some superglue accelerator. It's a clear liquid in a glass paint bottle with a couple of eye droppers on a yellow or orange card hanging on a peg. It makes superglue bond instantly and I will need some for the hood framework on your snowmando's cape, when I get around to doing that fig. My store doesnt carry it anymore.

TY buddy!  You are a lifesaver!
The stuff has a shelf life, I guess. I found an unopened package of it in the basement, a couple of weeks ago that I had held onto for a year and the unopened bottle was empty. I guess that it spontaneously boiled away or something. The stuff puts off a powerful acidic vapor that will eat up the finish on a clear or plated part.

Went to Hobby Heaven in OP, KS today and found the Republic Star Destroyer model kit that I had been looking for. "Tamer, you no longer need to look for this for me" Rather, I found the glue version and not the snap tight version that i might have preferred. Model kits are getting expensive nowadays and this one cost me $32.
I had seen a new release of the ATAT walker kit in the snap-tight line for a pricey $50 and couldn't figure out why till today. I thought that it was a repop of the 8inch tall kit that has been released several times but seen it today and found out that it was a newly tooled kit that stands a larger 12 inches tall when assembled. Had I of known that, I would have got it instead of that SW minuitures one.  I still may pick it up but think that $50 is kind of high dollar for such a kit.

That does seem a little high. Oh, before I forget, my Wal-marts no longer have a model section! I checked out the crafts isle and didn't see any super glue accelerator. I also went to a craft store while I went get the mri last week and I didn't see any there either. Is there anyplace else I can look?

Darn, what is this world of plastic model builders coming to? I will look at my hobby lobby or micheals. Other than that, I'm not sure, Shawn. It's kind of a specialty item that only modelers would use, I think. I may have to make another trip to hobby heaven. Hobbytown usa might carry it but I just found out that mine went out of business last DEC.

The wifey reports that they restocked the shelves at her Wal-mart. Nothing new, just CW and Saga Legends figures from the previous line.
Stopped by the Overland Park Hobbie Heaven again. Still no 09 release kits, there. I picked up the large priced Revell ATAT model kit and found a bottle of hobbie Heaven brand Super Glue Accelerator for $4. Stopped by the Vintage Stock store in Overland Park, today. I can't begin to tell you all of the cool vintage stuff that they had there. They had several MOC ROTJ figures and some boxed but not minty ROTJ and ESB vehicles and playsets, as well. There were lots of loose vintage figures. They had alot of TPM and AOTC stuff and several 12 inch figures for a decent price. The next time that I go in there, I will take a note pad with me, if not the camera.
After that,I stopped by the State Line Wal-Mart store and found several bobble heads and mighty muggs, barish titanium pegs in need of restock, not a single clone wars line figure, parts of the last wave of Saga Legends figures, and the last wave of comic packs that I hadn't seen untill today. I snatched up two Quinlan Vos and Commander Fai packs and brought them home. Sure, I saved two dollars and something with my wally world discount card but the total was still over $23. These new prices stink.

Stopped by Lee's Summit super Target, today. They had restocked the pegs and shelves with titaniums, CW figs, saga legends figs, evolution packs, and vehicles. They are running a sale this week on BPs $19, 3 3/4 figures $6.99, evo sets $16.99, and titaniums $6.99.
I also seen the Battle of Christophsis and Saralacc UBPs marked down to $39.99. They had plenty of these.

kinda sad when sale prices are what most of us were used to paying just a few years or a year ago. The recession sure hasn't seemed to bring down cost for us any thats for sure. Still, some break is a break.

I made the 30 min trip to the Independance TRU today to take advantage of their 2 for $10.99 action figure sale and found the pegs only half full of CW figures only. Their vehicle selection was decently stocked but they only had one dinged arc-170 left. They did have the repackaged Force Unleashed 3-packs in stock at a semi pricey $19.99 apiece.
"last years wal-mart exclusive versions only cost $14.99"

Too bad that I'm not into GI JOE stuff as they had some cool items.

I seen a few of the X-Men origins Wolverine figures, also.

I kinda figurd those force unleashed three packs would get some mark up if they were sold anwhere other than target or walmat. I still have never seen those three packs, either one, show up at my wally worlds. Still, as I am TESB now, I ain't complaining much. Sorry to hear the pegs were not at full strength though.

We will get to that project, soon enough.
I took a trip to Lee's Summit Target today and found about the same stuff on the pegs. No vehicles in the Sw isle. Mostly skinny clone wars figs on the pegs and no Rex or Cody figs, which are the custom fodder that I'm looking for.
No titaniums at all. there were a flurry of comic packs. I seen some neat Star Trek figures with some interesting pack-ins.
There were some interesting Terminator figures, also.
I waltzed down the end of the isles to the end of the toy section and found what I was looking for. A whole endcap full of the two BPs that they had on clearance for $39.19. They had several of the Saralac pit BPs that include what has been described as the worst Luke figure  ever. And, they only had two of the Battle of Christophsis BPs, one of which, I took home with me. I'm ready for some new stuff to c ome out.

Checked harrisonville walmart last friday..............still no esb wave or no new ships. I checked walmart at Warsaw, MO, at the lake this weekend. Same story. I did grab another legacy aotc clone and another 327th clone for customs, though.

Where are those darned new ships?

The wifey called me all excited, this morning, claiming that her Harrisonvile walmart had restocked the pegs so, I flew out of the house and barely kept under the speed limit all the way there. I got to the Star Wars isle and what did i find? A complete restock of the last two waves of figs.

I was actually looking for the ESB wave but didn't leave empty handed as I picked up a skinny Rex or two, another legacy heavy gunner and another legacy Kashyyyk trooper. All for, you guessed it, future customs. Picked up the latest issue of Star Wars insider on the way out and was disappointed to find that it was as expensive as a figure.

Stopped by the local Independence TRU, today and found the pegs stocked with the space trooper wave. There were three lars homestead bps left at the normal high price, one dagger b-wing, one yavin BP, one ATTE assault squad, and the overly pricey TRU exclusive hailfire droid and v-wing.

The sales person in the toy dept was eyeing me suspiciously as I took these pics. He hovered over me like a hungry dingo until I left the isle.

Made a shopping trip of a different sort, today. I took the wife and her folks to the biggest antique mall in the area, The Brass Armidillo outside of Blue Springs, Mo. At the door, they met each of us with a $5 gift card twards our days purchase. It was a promotion of sorts to get more shoppers out on this holiday and it worked as the place was packed.

I didn't see alot of Star Wars that I wanted other than a 3d episode one Pepsi sign that was $30.

I found a stack of barely used Clone Wars kids books that were interesting that could fetch some coin on the bay. There was a bin full of POTF figs for $5 apiece that I sifted through. I came up with some military and one car kit, the one clone wars book, and this Aliens Space Marine Power Loader that I thought might get Doc's mouth watering as this is an item that might interest him.
The folks really enjoyed their experience there as the wife and I always do. I expected more Star Wars but, perhaps next time.

Got a chance to make a run to the super target at Lees Summit, today looking for the new ships.

Found time to swing by Lee's summit Target to look for CW battlepacks. No such luck. they still had a good supply of evo sets but they wern't on sale anymore. Their figures had a lowered price of 6.99 and in the vehicle bin, there was one of each of the new ships. the Vulture droid and the magnaguard fighter. Those were priced at only 19.99 each with no sale sign nearby. So that means their vehicles and figures are both cheaper than Walmart's.

Stopped at the Overland Park KS Vintage stock store, yesterday.
I only got a couple of shots as I dont think that they want me to shoot pics in there and there was alot more to see to be sure.
They had half of this whole one wall, that was full of vintage SW , Marvel, and Joe stuff. This area was surrounded by glass waist high display cases that were full of vintage figures from both lines. There were a few carded ones and even a more modern tac misspriinted vader card that one could carry off. There more modern MOC figures hanging on one wall were fun to dig through but nothing reached out and grabbed me. I was considering a Sebulba from the 1/6 figure line. I ended up walking out with a couple of MOC LOTR figures that I can add to my collection if the interest ever strikes me again to break it out.

Well, I made the trip to Blue Springs Mo, today, to get some more HS3 from hobby Lobby. I did see doc's little bottles of resin as well as some different mold material and two types of clear resin.

Hopped over to the local wal-mart where I found wave 5 figs, several copies of the two speeder bike battle packs, the CW jabba's palace BP, the new Rogue x-wing comic pack, and these were in the clearance isle for $5, but rang up as $4.

Now I'm not into Star Trek figs and they don't show much detail but what I was after was the office chair, the control panel, the seperate belt with holster, and the phaser, tricorder, and data pad that were packed in with the McCoy figure, These are parts that I figure our Doc would be interested in.

Accross the street is another of those Vintage Stock stores, where I found a $1 bin full of loose toys to dig through, some cool vintage stuff in cases,"The republic commando statue was worth mentioning" lot's of MOC SW figures from previous lines, and this vintage Ewok playset which was missing most of the smaller parts but the superstructure was there. I carted this home as well as 3 loose items from the grab box and one MOC figure.

Stopped at the Independence TRU, today and came in on the tail end of a promotion that they were running on clearance items where another 20% would be taken off of the price of any clearance item with a price ending with the numbers 8 or 0. I could have picked up a dagger b-wing for $25 before taxes. I probably should have. That disturbance at the Lars homestead set would have rung up at $31 which is still too much.

Picked up this 1 72nd scale Dragon Wagon us tank hauler at Hobby Lobby, the other day, using the 40% off coupon, of course.

Went to my Independence TRU store today, to take advantage of the $50 AT-TE deal and wasn't disapointed. They had several ATTE walkers on two different shelves as well as a bin full of older evo packs, the clearance lars Homstead BP, figures from both lines of the previous waves, plus they had a couple of copies of the new packaged CW Anakin and Can-Cell action pack. They had those pricey TRU exclusive v-wings and even some $150 BMFs on the shelves. All of the comic packs were old ones. They had a couple of the emperor FU packs, also.

I walked out of there with one $50 AT-TE, one CW rex fig, and Two new Joe ROC figures taking advantage of the 2 for $10 deal. Snake Eyes and Firefly are the ones that I picked up.

I posted a pick of the Joe isle, also and put some additional Joe pics in the  GI Joe thread  (http://www.imperialshipyards.net/SMF/index.php?topic=848.0)

Good looking SW aisle. I would love to be near a toysrus right now. Trying to stay firm and not order an ATTE. I have no room for it and it doesn't match my TESB theme, but daggone anything with the letter AT in it makes me itch.

Made a good sized sw run yesterday after work. Stopped at super target on 69hwy in op ks and found the mini rigs, the shadow arc 170, and the turbo tank. They had some legends figs with the qui gon offer but nothing that I needed. I then made the trip to the op ks TRU and found a huge isle of blue and white packages. They also had the shadow arc but I couldn't help but notice the big price differance fr the one at target.
TRU price $79.99
Target price $64.99
Tru did have
Plenty of the commander ponds figures, two of which, I nabbed.
The atte was there, at the old $99 price.
Wernt we told that the shadow arc was a tru exclusive?
Also, we were told that the crab droid was a re release and I don't believe it is. This one looks bigger to me.
I will do reviews of the crab droid and the turbo tank when I get home from the lake.

Yeah. I forgot to mention that ice dagger joe vehicle which I thought looked pretty cool.
Looks like target may be the place to shop for vehicles as their jsf sized vehicles were priced at $20 compared to the $25 Walmart price.

The Topeka TRU had a very similar aisle. lots of stuff that disappeared from under my nose as I looked through it.
Looked like same old blue pegwarmers  and no new legacy line yet. wave 1 of the red legacy mostly clones from ep2 and ep3 and SBD figs.
lots of Ponds and about 1 each from CW wave 6 that all disappeared. I got 3 Ponds( 1each for me and the boy to open and 1 to keep MOC), a Gree and a Green clone each to open for the big guns.most walked off before i really got to look, was mad about the ARF trooper.they had CW collectors tin and 1 each of the CW vehicle and troopers set from wave with Ani and cancell bug, turbo tank gunner set that walked,a Barc speeder and trooper, a Barc BP that walked, the JSF in blue and red boxes in multiples, Lars homestead set,  a 2 jet pack trooper set that walked, and a snailtank.
when asked they said there was more and they should have it put out tomorrow, but i have to work til afternoon and had planned to go and look again before heading home.
didnt see anythng worth mentioning at the WM and Target that i checked. same legacy and comic packs and older vehicles, nothing new.
I was really looking for the new comic packs. I thought about getting another torrent fighter, but didnt.
if anything catches your eye, let me know and I can try and pick some up for you.
My wife said I couldnt get the BMF that was there... I have been really good and still cant get it.
maybe for my birthday... or get for her for our anniversary...

Here at the lake, I stopped at the Warsaw mo Walmart to pick up some fishing worms and was surprised to find that they had restocked their sw isle. There vehicle bin was full but had nothing I needed and no snail tank. Their figure pegs held the entire new wave of cw figures except for gree. Guess I should have checked yesterday but this store was the last place I expected to see anything new. I came home with two apiece of the echo and art trooper figs.
What a sw shopping week this has been!

I stopped back in the Topeka TRU and Target today and found nothing I was looking for. Both stores had the shadow ARC 170 and they had the same prices as Clint said. Werent there yesterday, but out of my budget right now.
Then on the way home I stopped in at the Manhattan KS Target and found more of the same. Lots of the older wave blue legacy figs as well as the remnants of 2 red legacy wave packs with all the same figs left.. Ani and Saesee Tinn and ep2 and ep3 clones and lots of SBDs. there were a few other vehicle and fig sets... Ani and dragonfly, droid with mini tank and a few blue BARC sets which I wanted but they were flawed bad... guns bent funky and figs had glue spunk all over the beltline and boxes looked rugged.(I tend to look them over and pick the better looking figs after comparing flaws and these all had too many for me to pick.)  I did see a red packed Vwing and a tie fighter but still on a budget so left empty handed.
After looking it up, i did manage to see every GIJoe fig released and in multiples between Topeka and Manhattan as well as the vehicles out now.
Really look great, but cant get into them yet. Maybe after we see the movie, a few wont hurt so much.
I also managed to pick up an ARF trooper whose package was hurt,  but the fig looks great. I havent opened it yet, but it looks like the hips might be ball jointed. hope hope hope...

Title: Re: KC MO and Kansas
Post by: Clonehead on August 02, 2009, 07:17:34 PM
They didnt look bendy to me, Doc, nor did they appear to be repacks. They have that animated look to them.

On the way home, I stopped at Clinton's walmart and found the Gree and Denal figures that I was looking for. The only fig out of this wave that I havent seen is Cad Bane. No clone dollars or qui gon offers to be seen yet. The included catalog did show the y-wing like it was already out, though.

Thanks again for posting those earlier pics, Tamer!!
Having the ability to do remote store reports when I am out of town is pretty neat.

Glad to be of service, of course.
I did notice that my gree and denal figures included the qui gon redemption certificate.
it requires $6.99 by way of check or money order and 5 upc codes from particular waves of BAD, SAGA legends, or clone wars lines?
bad 87535 ast
saga legends 87995 ast
cw 87638 ast

since each figure has it's own upc code, does this mean that upc codes from the one figure in each line are all that will work?
Please help me to understand this.

I found the page but it wasn't any more specific than my redemption form. It would be nice if any figure UPC from those three lines would work. Were that the case, you would see me digging through the open packages on the sw trash bag in my basement.

the three numbers you listed are the wave lines.. BAD, CW and SL. BAD 87535 ast, Saga Legends 87995 ast, CW 87638 ast.
Any UPC from any fig released from a wave with that line number is accepted.
The stated numbers look to me to be from a specific wave or release date. an example would be :CW wave 1 revision 1 has a number of HS87638A1 for the box or lot, each individual fig would have number 87638, and aech fig would have a UPC reading ... 87638 and fig name.
The line number from my ARF trooper is 89468,my REX  is 87659, not an accepted line for redemption.
It seems to me they want upc codes from specific dates ... i own most BAD, SL, and CW figs released and i keep all upcs from them and have very few that match( just a quick look at a handful from different lines and droid sets).
I will check it out more...

Very nice haul you got there.
I might need to check around locally for these. I really was wanting the droid and clone 2 packs.
I wanted to try out the jetpacks on a few Lecacy figs. the legacy ones released left you wanting with their crappy articulation, so thankfully i is not too hard to modify a SA EP2 and EP3 clone to fit the jetpack. and that is an item i cant get enough of.
Exactly how many of the gunner packs weapon systems do you think you can fit to the turbo tank? I looked at them hard when i did see them and saw lots of possibilities for them, both with and without too much modification.
Might have to make another trip real soon.....

I had considered passing on these but since the wife brought em home, I think they look pretty cool.

well the gunner pack guns mount into a peg hole on the inside of either big side door on the turbo tank so that they can man the guns while standing on the door as it is in it's horizontal down position. The guns also have a leg assembly that will swing back to form a tripod so that they could be set up anywhere.
I will get a review with pics up this coming week.

Those jetpacks should be mountable onto most legacy style clones without too much nodding to the figure. Probably just a peg hole in the figure's back is all that will be required.
Title: Re: KC MO and Kansas
Post by: dana.raye.smith on August 08, 2009, 12:37:06 PM
Really similar to the ROTS jetpack troopers winged jetpack, usable with a SA Legacy fig with very little modding.
And I liked the BF2 Clone packs 501st Jetpack troopers jetpack also, although it took more to mod that to fit and look correctly.
Both of the mentioned fig were SORELY lacking in the articulation areas, so making acceptable versions has been high on my list of things to do in larger numbers.
And its not out of my skill set yet. I just hate to ruin a perfectly good toy :'( ...
that is why I just think of it as IMPROVING a good toy ;D.

After hearing about the Walmart y wing siting in TX yesterday, I went to Warsaw's Walmart this morning in hopes of finding something new. They hadn't restocked since
My last visit and had the same batch of cw figs that they had a month ago. No clones whatsoever, no redemption forms, and certainly no clone cash. There isn't even a slot for the arc170 on the shelf. They do have the red and white boxed vader's tie, both anakin and ONI jsfs, the vulture droid was there as was the magna guard fighter.

I arranged their slim selection of figures so that 5 pegs had no figures at all in hopes that some slack stockman would bring out some more.

Folks, most Walmart stores have suggestion boxes up by their service desks. I suggest we stuff em with our product wants.
Title: Re: KC MO and Kansas
Post by: Tamer on August 29, 2009, 06:16:28 AM
I have tried that before Clint. I don't think it got em any results, but it is a good suggestions. I too will somtimes make some open peg slots in hopes they will fill em. Sometimes my stockers show thier laziness by putting just one fig per peg so they don't have to get more out. I wish I had new toy department folks in my wally world.

I have been scouting this week for some of the new stuff that has been hitting. Yesterday, I hit both state line road Target and Walmart stores and didnt find anything new. Walmart had some comic packs on clearance for $9.
Today, I hit Lee's Summit Target and while their SW section had nothing new, on an endcap, I found two of these Red 2 x-wings.
I used a $5 clone cash note to help with the $50 price tag of this one.

Today in a Manhattan KS Walmart they had lots of newer CW figs and Legacy figs in Red..... an end cap of near 100 figs.
After lots of picking through every single fig there, I finally found a Cad Bane and a Denal that were nice and minty. Every other fig they had were ones they had multiples of before... Space BDs and SBDs 41st troopers and ARF troopers and SpaceClones and the like.
Oddly enough they had no more Yularen figs (which I wanted about 2 of ).
And after a little more looking I did find CW two packs.... but they were the Rex and Cody 2 packs(which I got nice and minty too)....
But none of the Thire and Yoda 2 packs( which I wanted most).
No new comic packs.  that was upsetting.  just a few Sunber packs and Squidhead pilot packs.
I packed all this loot real carefully in the car, and then went with the family out to eat and later right home.
To my dismay, when we got home I discovered that the nice minty packages werent so any longer...
Now I guess I have to open them.....
Kind of not a good thing now.... this is our 9th wedding anniversary today and I have been waiting on opening a lot of new stuff....
Tonight is not to be that night.
I did get and open a new CW Kit Fisto bought on ebay for $4 shipped, so that will have to be enough for now.
I can check if they have any more of these later(like a few days), but there were only 2 each Rex and Cody packs and 1 each Bane and Denal that others were checking out as I left.

Dana, would you consider a trade of the two packs that I found with rys, thire, yoda, and the other clone for the cody and rex two packs found at your store? I am going to look for more of those tomorrow.
And do they need to be minty?
I have been seeing the yularen around. Are you wanting those and need they be minty also?

finally found a geonosis assault bp at Tru, today. They only had one and I need at least two. Got that neat promo clone commander manual for free for spending more than $30. Yes, I picked up a at-te assault squad also.

Then, at the blue ridge walmart, I seen a turbo tank on clearance for $85 and the Rebel pilots III evo pack on clearance for $20. This store is clearance crazy, i think.

Awesome Clone, you got that Gun Pod! Sorry there wasn't a pair, but now that you've seen one it will probably show up again.

ps - Toy Palace has the 2 new BP's available NOW - Ryloth and Abregado!

It's an online site. Galactic Hunter had a blurb up this morning about it. I can't vouch for them personally, but this is the first I have heard of them being available ANYWHERE.

The lee's summit Target had the exclusive Ryloth and Ambregado BPs today. they were in the stock room but using the DCPI #, "thanks McMetal",  I was able to talk a stock person into breaking em out for me. They also had pretty much all of the Slave leia legacy wave of figures.

I'm just wondering what to do with all my free time now though, I was spending a lot of hours each week on the Hunt, now I've got everything!

I guess I can go back and start refocusing on my other collectibles - comics, CD's, etc.

I've seen the Ugnaught and Boba, but I think Concept Iggy is from the next Wave which has not made it here yet. (As far as I know)

State line super Target. op KS

My state line Target store were restocking the shelves when I stopped by there today.  I seen one red 5 x-wing, two sets of Geonosis Arena 2-packs marked down to $9.99, the exclusive new battle packs, one geonosis assault, one endor, and one geligrub battle pack, plus their figure pegs were full of minty figures from the slave liea wave.

I also visited the state line walmart where I found dewbacks, atsts, and full priced o-droids aplenty. The figure section was lacking new figures but for one concept ki al mundy that I found on the bottom rack hidden behind some transformers stuff.

I found no less than three packages that had been robbed of their BAD part.

Stopped at Harrisonvile Walmart today to check the pegs. Mostly, there was Clone Wars on the pegs with a few Legacy remnants from two waves ago. They did have the O-Droid on clearance for $17.50, the Droid Factory sets were wearing the red tag of $13 "there were only two different ones". I do wish that they would restock the latest legacy wave but as their pegs were full, I don't think it's going to happen.

Made the pilgrimage to Blue Springs today and made three stops. At the Hobby lobby, there were no new SW model kits but I did pick up some Alumilite Super Plastic Resin, some paint brushes, and a 5-pack of superglue.

At the blue Springs Walmart Store, I found Star Wars stuff in three different places. In one of the Clearance isles, they had Droid Factory packs for $15, ATSTs for $35, Dewbacks for $20 and a lone Arc-170 for $45.

In kind of an overflow area of SW goodies away from the regular section, I found this disturbing new comic pack price.

Down from the main SW section, I found this endcap that was filled with CW figs, Legacy figs from the ESB wave "bendy cards", and Blockbuster value packs with legacy figs from a couple of waves ago and saga legends. I have never seen so many Blockbuster value packs in one place before. I'll bet I spent 15 min there, just going thru them.

and then, in the main SW section, there wasn't much but I did find these two Walmart Exclusive Unleashed battle packs, also on clearance for $20 each.

After I was able to pull myself away from there "I bought 4 figs two of which were in a BBVP using the walmart discount and a piece of clone cash for about $17", I went over to Target.  There SW isle hardly had anything but I did find these two new comic packs.

and after some searching, I found a clearance isle that had the two CW battle packs for $17.98 each and the big wing ties for $27.49 each. I looked around for the ultamate Tamer Red 2 x-wing deal but they didn't have any.

If you find one of those target ties that isn't too bad at those prices I promise  not to look too hard at the package. Geesh that is a good price, which is what I originally went hunting for in Target to begin with when I found the Wedge Xwing.

Now you see what I mean about the daggone bent cards for the ESB wave. I saw those daggone blue cardboard packs and started getting angry again. Why would they ship them and display them this way? Daggone it! DAGGONE IT!

Good intel. Those are those unleashed battlepacks I was telling you about, boy they didn't stay out of clearance long. I did see those comic packs too, but though they had already been released. Guess that was wrong about that too. I just can't keep up.

Went to the Lee's summit target today and seen ANH figs on the pegs. They only had one blockbuster value pack and on an endcap, had both battle packs, 5-6 big wing ties, and 4 red 2 x-wings, all at full price."yes, I scanned em all"

I will try to make an effort to get to that other store and pick you up one of those big wing ties. not sure what the shipping price would be as for you, I would have to find a bigger box to put it in for shipment.

Gah! The wifey reported that there was an anakin and tatooine skiff pack at her walmart in harrisonville, yesterday. My guess is that someone got to the ATRT set before she hit the SW isle.
That store still has no new CW figures and now, no SW in the clearance isle.

Well, I was working down south, all week, and made a trip to Warsaw walmart to see what was happening down there.

They had some Revan mighty muggs in the clearance isle for $9 that could have been more mint looking. In there SW isle, they had some esb wave figures, no new clone wars figures, a couple of the new deluxe vehicle packs, and most of the new comic packs including these two, which I brought home with me.

Made a trip to Blue Springs yesterday hunting for some newer tvc figs. At Target, they had nothing new. Had I have known the DCPI # for the new CW two packs, I would have asked for em.

The walmart did have both the new tvc wave and the new cw wave of figures and I mean the pegs were overflowing for a change.
Also, that walmart had two tie bombers on clearance for $20. It was the third time they had been marked down. I noticed no new wave of joe figures at either store.

Stopped by my Independence TRU today, wanting to find out what was on sale this week and looking for some new TVC figures and some new joe figures.  They did have y-wing bombers for half off but look at the packed pegs they had.
First two shots are the star wars pegs and the third one is of the joe pegs. "yes, those four pegs at the top also held joe figure tags"

Talk about disappointment. This is a toy store for crying out loud! Where are the toys?????
Man, I am so glad I made an effort to get there at opening time.

Disgruntled from that stop, I went to the independence Target to look for those exclusive CW two packs. Naturally, they had not even put them on the shelves and I had to give the dcpi# to the lady at the customer service desk and then wait for more than 15 min for a stock person to consider bringing an untouched case up front for me. Weren't these to hit the shelves like 4 days ago?

I made another trip to the big Blue Springs Walmart hoping to find either a $50 atat or the new wave of clone wars figures and found neither. The big walker was gone and the clogged cw pegs held nothing new and probably wont anytime soon. The vintage pegs looked pretty picked and I am seeing a pegwarmer trend with the sandtrooper and the endor rebel. They did have the action figure isle partially rearranged and had Thor figures and figures for the new Pirates of the C movie but the 3 sparcely stocked gi joe pegs were now missing.

I went over the the Target hoping to find something there but there pegs held nothing new except the exclusive cw two packs. There joe pegs still had figures from the previous wave.

Thanks Clint, no worries. Just if you are out and about and can snag one as always.

Harrisonville Walmart has these two gems on clearance today. My forever wait paid off as I took one of each home.

I’m lucky to have so many walmart stores close to check.

Ok, I’m in Florida this week.
Ft Meyers beach target had most of the six inch ESB wave and two probe droids.
Now, the fr Myers beach Walmart has some of those 3 3/4 Retro collection figures. Shawn, did they show that the cards were to have a faux shelf wear printed on the card?
I’m not sure I like it

Yeah, they did show that those cards would look "stressed". I don't think I like it either.
