Wow Jay you aren't the only one who thinks this is awesome!

I must say I can see that shuttle too, but to me it seems like the top part of an X-Wing that stops at the canopy meshed to a snowspeeder / A-Wing fuselage incorporating two X-Wing Engines. It is like an A-wing Snowspeeder hybrid. Daggone what I wouldn't give to see Jules use this bad boy in his Alliance Novel.

Road Warrior, hats off to you sir, and expect to see this featured on our front page just as soon as I can rehinge my jaw. Bravo. I must say today has been one of the most graphic intensive days I can remember for awhile. Having worked with creating graphics for this place seeing something like this is just a marvel to me. Thank you for sharing it with us.

That is absolutely stunning!  I love the amalgamation of parts, from the X-Wings, A-Wings, Jedi Starfighters, and Snowspeeders.  What a great concept, and such fantastic graphical artwork!

I had to come back for more awesomeness of this vehicle? I am wondering do you plan to build this thing? I am pretty sure it could be done with a few model kits and a but of styrene scratch building along the way. If I find the needed kits I may try to do one, with your permission that is.

Wow! Thanks for the great comments guys, you all have made my day.

First let me give a bit of a background about the Shrike. The I-22 was made by the same sub-team that later produced the I-7 Howlrunner for the Empire. The Shrike was original designed for the Empire as well but due to the fleet being predominantly in favor of the T.I.E. series of fighters the Empire chose not to put the I-22 into mass production(some few units did make production though and went on to replace aging z-95s the Empire used in many outlying and older garisons.

.The Shrike is not a starfighter though it can assume the role but only in limited capacities
.I-22 does not incorperate a hyperdrive or any R units
.The Shrike is basicaly a glorified airspeeder(but one that is fully pressurized and can operate in the vacume of space- unlike traditional airspeeders) and is relatively fast with it's two stage airbreathing engines
.First run I-22's were only armed with twin blasters located in cutout between the forward wing area. These cannons are supplemented by targeting lasers that along with other flight sensors in the nose aid in target alocation- later build Skrike models sported an addtional twin blaster setup on the end of each wing
.To give the craft more punch mounting points for two mid-size concusion missiles were afixed to the ventral side (with a full loadout flight characteristics are not deminished)
.The cockpit readouts and other insturments are fairly standard imperial systems
. I-22's do have limited shield capability

I tried to picture a fighter that would fit seamlessly  with existing Incom designs . I was not aware of any Aliens shuttle motifs but now I can't not see it. I adeed x-wing
, snow speeder, a-wing, lambda shuttle, as well as tng shuttlecraft, F-302's as well as other ellements of other craft into the design.

I will get to your comments here in a sec.

Viper Aviator- Hey man I know you from over at RI! How you doing bro? I like your work- you got mad skillz- as they say. Sure, feel free to make an insignia patch or whatever. I have arequest though- if reasonable: Can you make one more scifi and less Airforce? But it's up to you. And thanks man!

Wraithnine- Thank you!

Clonehead- Thanks!

Tamer- Thanks! Well then I achieved my goal in creating a ship that is easily recognizable in coming out of an Incom development project.

Luke Sprywalker- Thanks!

Phatty- Thanks bro!

Art deWhill- Thanks! I'm a big fan.

Beige-4- Thanks!

Kualan- Thank you! I'm glad you like it!

Luke Sprywalker- Thanks again bro! No I have no intentions of building a practical model/toy of it. I lack that kind of skill- feel free to have a go at it though. Look forward to seeing what you come up with!

Tamer-It is an honor! Seriously though- these are all temporary WIP renders. When its finished I will have it textured by my friend Logan and Rendered by my pal Fractalsponge.

Thanks all!!!
