CW7 Phase 2 Commander Cody
« on: January 07, 2012, 01:03:48 PM »
Hi guys, this is a review for the new TCW phase 2 clone commander Cody:
Clone Commander Cody is a kit bash figure using parts from TCW Phase 2 Clone trooper and all new parts!
Clone Commander Cody is based off of the Commander Stone sculpt  :(

Articulation:
Ball-jointed neck
Ball hinged shoulders and elbows
Swivel hips
Swivel waste
Swivel hips
Ball hinged nees and ankles

Accessories:
Removable helmet
All new DC-15 rifle
Removable Jetpack
Removable Rocket pack

Bad points:
The figure lacks paint on the shoulder antenna
Rank badge on left breast plate is a sticker instead of molded

Images:

I give this figure a 7/10 because it is lacking in paint on the shoulder antenna and the helmet looks a bit goofy and I think Hasbro could have done much better with the mold and sculpt of this figure.
Thanks for reading!

Does he really have articulated ankles? If he does, that makes him better than the Jetpack Rex. I thought Hasbro would basically use the same body as Rex.

Ew, that is the same new foot articulation they are trying out on a few Joes. Not excited about it and I don't know why they would change something that works fine. I thought they didn't like changing molds on figures?

is it the one where the peg goes into the foot instead of into the leg?  If so, I like that articulation for making wide stance poses... but for traditional posing it stinks.

Also... again with the shoddy stone figure....  UGH...  I almost bought this one today because of the jetpack, glad I didn't waste my money.  I might buy them when they go on clearance.

Is it just me or is Hasbro's quality decreasing?  I mean really, a STICKER?
