Here is my first attempt at doing something similar to what Jules does with his Hangarbay'd images, I've approached this with a comic book look & feel & only hope Jay approves as this custom was one of his that he did for me.

Oh yes, that is terrific, I love your idea of transforming the customs into cartoon characters, and you have done it so well. The glowing blaseters give the image a manga feel, an artform that I am particularly interested in.
I was hoping you would start doing stuff like this as it really livens up the place. You have to keep it up as I'm sure your amazing artistic talent will bring some much needed variety to the forum.
I am a huge fan of your work!

Once again thanks Jules, I was hoping for some feedback from you on this particular image as you are obviously the fella who knows his business when it comes to editing photographs. I am glad I've got the seal of approval from you mate. Rest assured, there will be many more of these to come.

-
Very nice work! I agree with Jules, there's very much a manga feel to it. I'm just hoping one day some of my customs may inspire you to give them the MangaSith treatment!
-
I had to reply here too, Steve this is a great image. Love the comic book look and the enhanced colors. Just AWESOME man!

Enjoy!

Wow, that is freaking COOL! How did you get the effects on the statue to look that way? Was it an artistic tool of some kind?

Thanks Pat, all I did was bring down the brightness of the image to show up the detail, then added the "Poster Edges" filter in photoshop. Dropped the edge thickness right down to pick out the fine detail.

THAT IS SUCH A GREAT IMAGE! what I like most is your distict graphic style and composition, the figure's pose says it all. I'd love to see more like this, it would go down a storm.

Here's a little something I've done for someone as a favour.
A while back, as some of you may remember, I made a video about a store in Plymouth, UK called "The Final Frontier", the owner, Julian, is one of the most genuine fellas you could want to meet & has been nothing but kind to me during my several visits to his store. I will be visiting Julian & the Final Frontier again in a couple of weeks & to return the favour, I have created a poster for him to use in the shop if he wishes. I have not yet shown Julian & will be taking the poster with me when I make my next visit.

Steve, you seem to be developing a style all your own and it's reat seeing that style transfer into something other than Star Wars. This is a great poster, I'm sure that Julian will love it!
Another superb piece of work...

awesome work... but couldn't you have found a better image of his jetpack than that retarted blow up kids toy? lol. you can tell it's it from the oversized nozzles and the baloon lines in the circular parts... can you tell i look at boba fett memorabilia too much?

Hey Steve, can I pose a challenge to your great artistic skills? Can you whip up a desktop wallpaper in a 1280x800 size featuring Obi-Wan, A'sharad Hett, and Quinlan Vos? The "poster" I tried to create for that contest really never sat all that well with me, but I'd LOVE to see what you can come up with!
-
this is some awesome awesome awesome work mate, i still cant believe i won the the comp with these skills you are showing us!!
i love your comic book style man, makes me want to open my board and bags and reread my comics
this would look wicked as the now canceled Boba Fett book Ms Karen Traviss had Planned to write!!
Congrats on the front page too!!!
