looks like a good start.  fitting existing parts over the frame of another figure like your doing here is a real challenge.

how did you fit the chest over the Blanx figure?  did you hollow it out to fit over it?

that tiny waist looks even more anorexic now though :(  You should add some pouches or even sculpt it up to match the waist and chest armor for a more flush look.

You did an excellent job on the legs though.  I'm assuming the thigh armor is slipped over the Blanx thigh and then the boots are joined by cutting off the feet of the blanx figure and transplanting over the feet and boots of the kashyyyk trooper?  If you do it just right that might add the needed height to boost this figure up to the correct sccale to fit with other figure lines.

See, this is exactly what I was envisioning when I discovered these figures.  With accessories and sculpting, the Blanx figures make great bases.  You'll have to show the end result in comparison to a SW figure so we can see the height of the figure!

Such great preliminary work!  This figure's going to be totally rad!
I have altered the action figure. Pray I don't alter it further.

@Spuda - I see what you're saying man, however these three customs will be based on cartoon characters, so I actually like the animesque lines to the figure that the undersized torso gives. If I was planning on more realistic characters then yes the sculpy would come out to play!

Dremmeling out the chest wasn't enough to fit the Blanx one inside so instead I cut the torso down and glued it to the SW armour. I still kept the O-ring inside to preserve that old school Joe articulation.

Also the thighs wouldn't fit inside the armour so I cut the hip attachment off and mounted it on the ARC thigh amour. I then drilled lower leg attachment sockets for the Blanx legs! So the only Blanx articulation that I actually lost was in the neck!!

@Smeagol - due to the added leg length and slightly longer body this guy is now as tall as a normal SW figure! Glad you like the adaption of the Blanx so far!

@Dr0d - thanks Hopefully he will be finished soon enough!

Really love how you are using this figure.  I'm hoping that these all sell out so they will make the female figure.  I almost wish they created her first.  I would have bought a lot.  Female bodies are needed in this hobby.

Thanks Elias! I hope they get to the female figure soon!!

Finished the hard work on the second figure today - he will be based on the Ace McCloud character...

Starting to get the hang of dremelling out the armour, this one didn't take half as long as the first..

@Shawn - thanks once again buddy!

@KRZ - I made Dash before I bought my dremmel, he was done with a craft knife, file, superglue and sweat! Glad you like him though! I hope you get that Outrider done!

Here's a pic of 'Ace' with his base coat...

@DO - your Dinobots cross overs inspired me to go ahea with these guys!

@Clint - no probs, I've got a third figure to mod in the same manner... I'll make sure that I do some pics along the way!

@LE - thanks man, it's been fun to push my modding skills!

I'm currently waiting on some parts to complete my SW / Blanx / Centurions project so today I decided to start my my next 'Shadows Of The Empire' figure...

So here as a WIP is Chewie in disguise as Snoova the Wookiee bounty hunter.

Obviously there's still some work to do including painting and inking and a bit of sculpting for the robo-eye! The armour has been reclaimed from the original figure and added to a later Chewie with a couple of Clint's greeblies too!
